Description

A GRENADE LAUNCHER FIELD OF DISCLOSURE
The invention relates to a grenade launcher; capable of optional bi-directional ammunition feeding and unloading; Capable of firing 40x46 and 40x51 mm ammunition; can be mounted under an infantry rifle when desired, and can be used with a portable stock when desired. The invention allows the user to determine the barrel opening direction with a single button (direction button) and to automatically open the barrel in the specified direction with a single button (opening latch) and to feed and unload ammunition. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Today, the ammunition feeding and unloading operations of the grenade launchers, which are usually mounted under the rifle, are carried out by two different mechanisms.
In the first type of mechanism, the barrel of the grenade launcher is brought forward manually and opened to one side, and ammunition feeding and unloading is performed. The single-sided opening of the barrel in this mechanism creates difficulties for users using the opposite hand.
In the second type of mechanism, the barrel of the grenade launcher is brought forward and opened to the right or left manually, and ammunition feeding and unloading is performed. This mechanism allows the rifle to be fed and unloaded from the right side when desired, and from the left side when desired. In this type of mechanism in which the user has to push the barrel manually to open the barrel to the right or left side, the manual pushing operation forces the user to reach forward, causing negative situations such as excessive movement of the user, and disruption of the aiming position. Moreover, in both types of mechanisms, ammunition loading and unloading operations cannot be performed as quickly as desired.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The invention overcomes the disadvantages described above.
The grenade launcher developed in the present invention, which can be fed and unloaded in both directions, includes a button (direction button) mechanism that facilitates the use.
In the grenade launcher developed in the present invention with bi-directional feeding and unloading, the barrel lock mechanism is opened with the opening latch mechanism without the need to push the barrel forward manually, and a spring- loaded thrust mechanism integrated into the barrel is activated and works with the direction button assembly to automatically open the barrel in the desired direction.

The invention is a grenade launcher (1) comprised of,
- the direction button (1.2) fixed in the opposite direction of the desired opening direction of the barrel (1.1), after applying pressure force on the locking selector (1.3) and opening the lock mechanism, the barrel (1.1 ) is pushed from the desired direction and the locking mechanism with a spring system of the other selector (1.3) on the pushed side is activated.
- the lock mechanism that enables the direction button (1.2) to move and to be fixed in the position where the direction button (1.2) is positioned when the movement is finished,
- selectors (1.3), which are a part of the lock mechanism and enable the lock mechanism to work by applying pressure or removing the pressure applied on it,
- the opening latch (1.4) on which the pressure force is applied when the barrel (1.1 ) is desired to open, after the direction button (1.2) is positioned in the opposite direction of the direction to which the barrel (1.1 ) is desired to open,
- The barrel lock (1.5), which is opened after the pressure force is applied on the opening latch (1.4),
- the cam pin (1.7) which allows the barrel (1.1) to rotate in the desired direction by starting to move angularly within the channels (1.2.2) on the direction button (1.2) when the opening latch (1.4) is pressed and the barrel lock (1.5) is opened. and
- the spring slide system that enables the barrel (1.1) to open linearly in the desired direction by working simultaneously with the cam pin (1.7) after the barrel lock (1.5) is opened.
The lock mechanism consists of two locking slots (1.2.1) located on the direction button (1.2), two selectors (1.3) that will operate in these two locking slots (1.2.1) and compression springs inside the selector (1.3) parts.
Locking occurs when the one of the selectors (1.3) suitable for the position of the direction button (1.2) enters the locking slot (1.2.1 ). In the present invention, the channels (1.2.2) that enable the barrel (1.1) to be opened to the right or left are in the structure of the direction button (1.2).
Direction button (1.2) is automatically locked after it is adjusted to the desired direction. The locking mechanism prevents the direction button (1.2) from changing its position during use against the will of the user.
The selector (1.3) that provides locking among the selectors (1.3) in the locking mechanism and the pressed surface of the direction button (1.2) are on the opposite sides, preventing the direction button (1.2) from accidentally changing its position. The user opens the locking mechanism of the selector (1.3) with one hand (pressing the locking selector (1.3)) and changes the position of the direction button (1.2) with the other hand.
When the direction button (1.2) is desired to be moved, the pressure force is applied to the selectors (1.3) and the lock mechanism is opened and the movement of the direction button (1.2) is provided. After adjusting the position of the direction button (1.2), the locking mechanism of the direction button (1.2), which has a spring system, automatically provides re-locking.
After the direction button (1.2) is positioned once, it has a system that does not need to be adjusted repeatedly. The direction button (1.2) can be adjusted in the opposite direction of the direction it is adjusted when desired.
Spring slide system consists of; the slide drive shaft (1.6), the slide (1.8), and the slide compression spring (1.10).
When the barrel (1.1) is desired to be opened, the barrel (1.1) is automatically opened in the opposite direction to the direction in which the direction button (1.2) is positioned, by means of the spring slide system, by pressing the opening latch (1.4). When the opening latch (1.4) is pressed and the barrel lock (1.5) is opened, the cam pin (1.7) starts to move in the adjusted channel (1.2.2) on the direction button (1.2) and provides angular movement and allows the barrel (1.1) to open in the desired direction. The slide (1.8) attached to the barrel (1.1) mechanism with the hinge pin (1.9) applies pressure to the slide compression spring (1.10) on the slide drive shaft (1.6) inside the upper body when the barrel (1.1) is in the locked position. When the locking mechanism of the barrel (1.1) is opened, the energy stored on the slide compression spring (1.10) is released, applying pressure on the slide (1.8) and allowing the barrel (1.1 ) to move forward linearly.
Cam pin (1.7), hinge pin (1.9), slide (1.8), direction button (1.2), selector (1.3), slide drive shaft (1.6), slide compression spring (1.10), which are on the barrel (1.1) mechanism, automatically starts to operate simultaneously after the barrel (1.1) lock mechanism is opened, moving the barrel both linearly and angularly and automatically opening the barrel in the desired direction.
