Definitions
- This application relates to the field of display technology, and in particular to a display device and an overdrive method thereof.
- the prior art proposes an overdrive technology (over driver, OD) to enable the liquid crystal to achieve the expected deflection target in a short time.
- OD over driver
- the principle of the OD technology is: when the data signal on a data line needs to be grayscale from the previous line When switching to the current line target gray level, if only the driving voltage of the current line target gray level is given, due to the slow response speed of liquid crystal inversion, it cannot actually reach the current line target gray level that we need.
- the existing overdrive technology can better improve the problem of insufficient charging caused by gray-scale jumps, it still has the following drawbacks:
- the data line is current when the gray-scale jumps are performed.
- the line target gray level is compared with the input gray level of the previous line.
- the gray level of the current line has a jump, but the gray level of the next line has no jump, it will cause the sub-pixels of the next line to be overcharged.
- the green (G) sub-pixels, blue (B) sub-pixels, and red (R) sub-pixels are sub-pixels connected to the same data line and arranged in columns.
- the G sub-pixels are 64 gray when charged.
- the target gray level of the current line is 64 gray levels
- the B sub-pixel is 0 gray levels when charging, that is, the input gray level of the previous line is 0 gray levels
- the R sub-pixel is 64 gray levels when charging, that is, the target gray level of the next line It is 64 gray levels.
- the overdrive gray level of the current line is found to be 86 gray level, so as to load the data line
- the overdrive voltage corresponding to 86 gray scales makes the average voltage charged to the G sub-pixels the target voltage U1; when charging the R sub-pixels in the next row, the target gray scales of the previous row and the current row are both 64 grays If the overdrive gray level of the current row is still 64 gray level, the data line does not jump, but due to the influence of parasitic capacitance, the average voltage charged to the R sub-pixel will be higher than the target voltage U1, which will cause R The sub-pixel is overcharged.

Abstract
Description

S10,提供一显示面板10,所述显示面板10包括多个阵列排布的子像素13和多条数据线11,每一列所述子像素13对应连接有一条所述数据线11;
S20,在一帧画面内,当一条数据线11上的数据信号需要从前一行灰阶切换至当前行目标灰阶时,根据预设的反馈查找表20、所述当前行目标灰阶及前一行输入灰阶查找得到反馈灰阶;
所述S20具体包括:首先所述时序控制器50从影像数据源接收到当前行目标灰阶和从所述行缓存器40接收到所述前一行输入灰阶;
然后,通过所述过驱动查找表60比较所述当前行目标灰阶和所述前一行输入灰阶查找得到所述过驱动灰阶;
之后,所述时序控制器50向所述源极驱动器输入所述数据线的驱动信号;
