- the display control method provided in the embodiment of the present invention may further include S204 and S205 after the foregoing S202:
- S204 The electronic device receives a second input of the user to shrink the second screen.
- contraction direction of the second screen triggered by the first input is opposite to the expansion direction triggered by the first input. For example, if the first input triggers the second screen to expand to the right, the second input triggers the second screen to contract to the left.
- the electronic device closes M applications among the N applications.
- M is a positive integer less than or equal to N.
- the electronic device may start to execute and close M of the N applications when the second screen starts to shrink, during the process of shrinking the second screen, or when the second screen is completely contracted (that is, when the second screen ends).
- the second screen is completely contracted.
- the electronic device may start to execute the step of closing M applications among the N applications when the second screen is completely contracted. In this way, if the user does not trigger the full contraction of the second screen, the electronic device will not execute the step of closing M applications among the N applications, which is beneficial to avoid the electronic device from accidentally triggering the process of closing the applications running in the background.
- the electronic device can simply shrink the second input of the second screen to trigger the electronic device to close M applications among the N applications, the user does not need to find and operate the one-click cleanup of background running applications.
- the button of the application triggers the electronic device to close the applications running in the background, so that the electronic device can quickly and conveniently close M of the N applications, that is, quickly and conveniently close some or all of the applications running in the background.
- the user may not need to trigger the electronic device to close the applications running in the background, such as the current electronic device has sufficient operating resources or the applications running in the background are performing important processes (Such as the process of downloading a movie).
- the application of the N applications is accidentally triggered to be closed.
- the electronic device can determine whether the user really needs to close the application running in the background through the expansion process of the second screen through the second input.
- S205a may be implemented through S205a:
