Definitions
- the present invention relates to a drainage tube for surgery, and more particularly, to a drainage tube assembly used in chronic subdural hemorrhage surgery.
- Chronic subdural hematoma is a hematoma that is caused by gradual (3 weeks or more) subdural blood accumulation due to hemorrhage from the epidermal vein of the brain in a minor trauma.
- hematoma compresses the brain tissue, various symptoms such as hypertensive intracranial pressure, consciousness disorder, progressive dementia, and hemiplegia may appear depending on the size of the hematoma. Therefore, when a chronic subdural hematoma is confirmed by imaging tests and these symptoms appear, the doctor inserts a drainage tube into the hematoma to drain it.
- the drainage tube used to remove the blood or exudate from the body after surgery is a long tube made of a flexible material.
- subdural hematoma drainage is a relatively simple operation, and most of it is a low-difficulty operation without much difficulty.
- the inserted drainage tube passes through the hematoma, the lesion site, and punctures the brain parenchyma, which can cause serious side effects such as serious brain hemorrhage. This phenomenon occurs because the drain pipe is made in a straight line. Improvements are needed in this area, but a substitute product for this has not yet been developed.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a drainage tube assembly used in chronic subdural hemorrhage surgery.
- the technical problem to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a drainage tube assembly including a drainage tube whose bending is controlled by entering the inside of the skull.
- a drainage tube assembly for removing a subdural hematoma by forming a hole in the skull and inserting it through the hole, it is flexible and sucks the subdural hematoma from the upper part a suction unit extending downward; a bending unit located on an outer circumferential surface of the suction unit; and a guide unit coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the suction unit and coupled to the bending unit, wherein when the bending unit receives an external force parallel to the longitudinal direction of the suction unit, the suction unit is positioned at the position of the bending unit.
- a correspondingly bendable, drainage tube assembly may be provided.
- the drainage tube assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention can be used for chronic subdural hemorrhage surgery, and when operated through the drainage tube, the drainage tube can be inserted into the subdural hematoma more safely than conventional products.
- the drainage tube assembly according to another embodiment of the present invention may include a drainage tube whose bending is controlled by entering the inside of the skull.
- FIG. 1 is a view showing a state in which the drainage tube assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention is applied to surgery.
