Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a drainage tube for surgery, and more particularly, to a drainage tube assembly used in chronic subdural hemorrhage surgery.
  • Chronic subdural hematoma is a hematoma that is caused by gradual (3 weeks or more) subdural blood accumulation due to hemorrhage from the epidermal vein of the brain in a minor trauma.
  • hematoma compresses the brain tissue, various symptoms such as hypertensive intracranial pressure, consciousness disorder, progressive dementia, and hemiplegia may appear depending on the size of the hematoma. Therefore, when a chronic subdural hematoma is confirmed by imaging tests and these symptoms appear, the doctor inserts a drainage tube into the hematoma to drain it.
