- Ketones from raspberries help to bring the body into ketosis in 2-3 hours (so that the body is burning fat cells instead of glucose), faster than the body manages of its own accord, and glucomannan which mainly helps to reduce the feeling of hunger by swelling up and filling a part of the stomach (Glucomannan increases its volume by up to 200 times when it comes into contact with liquid.). It is important that the minimum daily dose is 3 to 4 grams, as otherwise glucomannan serves no particular purpose.

Raspberry ketones can bring the body into ketosis in 2-3 hours. The ketones help to break down fat cells more effectively, and at the same time increase levels of the fat and sugar- regulating hormone adiponectin in the body. This is a hormone which regulates metabolism (catabolism). With higher levels of adiponectin more glucose is available in the body and can be used for energy.
- Fish peptides for example from salmon or white fish (hydrolysed fish peptides) are small protein components bound by amino acids. Research at Haukeland Hospital and in Canada shows that peptides can stabilise the blood sugar, enlarge the muscles and bum more fat. Fish peptides have been shown to stabilise the gut, so that both absorption of nutrients and metabolism are optimised. Studies show among other things that for instance salmon peptides may slow down obesity, and especially reduce abdominal fat, and increase the content of bile acid in the blood. It is known that higher levels of bile acid in the blood may reduce blood sugar and slow down the development of obesity (1).

At the same time, salmon peptides have excellent qualities for normalising the blood sugar and cholesterol level. When the blood sugar is stable, the mood will also be more stable, and the need for carbohydrates is not so strong. A daily dose of 3 grams is preferable, but it must be understood that this daily dose may also be larger or smaller, for example from 1 gram to 15 grams.
