Abstract

The present disclosure provides a toilet system. The system includes: commode having an inlet opening at upper portion to receive waste materials, and an outlet opening at lower portion; and enclosure to accommodate the commode such that upper portion of the commode projected above upper surface of the enclosure, and lower portion of the commode with the outlet opening of the commode accommodated within the enclosure. The system includes first door pivotally fitted to upper portion of the enclosure, the first door adapted to move between a closed position and an open position. At the closed position, the first door moves towards lower portion of the commode to enable closing of the outlet opening of the commode. At open position, first door moves away from lower portion of the commode to receive the waste materials. The first door biased by a biasing means to remain at closed position.

Description

A WATER CONSERVATION TOILET SYSTEM
TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The present disclosure relates to the field of toilet systems and devices for providing sanitation and hygiene. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a toilet system for facilitating cleaner and more hygienic disposal of human waste with reduced intake of water in eliminating human waste.
BACKGROUND
[002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[003] Nowadays, water scarcity is prevalent in almost all the countries. The main reason for this is wastage of water unnecessarily by humans. We should think that water is a limited natural resource. Hence, water conservation is a major concern in many areas and is likely to become even more important in the future as increment in population resulting in more water consumption. By practicing water conversation on a regular basis has many benefits including saving money both in short term and in long term. In the short term, water conservation saves the consumer money by reducing a consumer's monthly water utility bill. In the long term, consumers save money by postponing, or even preventing, the building of new water supply infrastructures, thereby reducing per unit cost (or slowing the increase in cost) of water. In addition, those who are in charge of water utilities have become increasing militant in the way they promulgate rules regulating water usage and imposing fines for violation thereof. Hence, there is a requirement to save water in every possible manner. The bathroom included with toilet devices (water closets, latrines etc.) is one area where water is often needlessly used. As well known in the art, many conventional toilet or latrine devices, either fitted in residential building or in any moveable vehicles, may utilize a lot of water for flushing the human or any other living organism excretion wastes such as faecal matter, urine etc. Typically, the conventional toilet devices may utilize more litres of water (around 5 to 10 litres) each time (i.e. for each flush) which is not recommended.
[004] The common practice to clean the toilet after urination is by emptying water from a water tank located above the toilet down the toilet bowl. The water is spilled due to gravity, is mixed with waste (excreted by human or animal) in the bottom of the bowl, and then the mixed water can be changed. The mixed water is poured down the drain. As mentioned-above, this method has a big waste of water. Over a one-third of the water consumed by households may be used to flush the toilet bowl. Every toilet bowl is flushed after urination, and results in wastage of water into the sewer at around 5 litres or more. For that reason, there is a requirement to utilize minimal water in order to clean the toilet efficiently.
[005] Efforts have been made in the related or prior art to provide toilet or latrine systems, methods or techniques for removing human or any other body waste without using flush tanks and without utilizing water from the flush tanks.
[006] Most of the toilet devices provided in the prior art require additional equipments in a bathroom where the toilet/lavatory device is fitted in order to flush away the waste into a sewer. These devices may not be able to reduce the usage of water because even after using less water they are not able to remove or flush away the entire waste efficiently and completely. By using the additional equipments, there is an increment in buying and maintenance costs. Most of the prior art systems implement cumbersome apparatuses fitted into or attached to a seat which is either projected into the toilet seat opening or is attached to the toilet bowl. Some of the related art devices have drawbacks in maintaining clean and hygienic environment, bad odour free environment etc. Some related art toilet based devices or systems implement techniques such as creation of vacuum, pressurised flush, dual flush, siphoned trap or cyclone flush etc. techniques to remove the waste. However, the implementation of the above-mentioned techniques is also expensive. The above-mentioned techniques may not be able to remove bad odours or smells from the toilet efficiently and accurately.
[007] Therefore, there is a need in the art to provide an efficient, cost-effective, simple and accurate toilet system for disposing (removing) excreted wastes from bowl of the toilet with reduced utilization of water. In addition, there is a need to provide the toilet system and device to eject bad odours efficiently and accurately without implementing bulky and cumbersome additional equipments.

SUMMARY
[0018] The present disclosure relates to the field of toilet systems and devices for providing sanitation and hygiene. At the open position, the second door can be moved away from the outlet opening of the enclosure to allow discharge of the waste materials from the outlet opening of the enclosure, and movement of the second door between the closed position and the open position can be dependent on the weight of the waste materials received in the enclosure.

More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a toilet system for facilitating cleaner and more hygienic disposal of human waste with reduced intake of water by implementing hingeably rotated doors inside the toilet system.

The system can include: a commode that can have an inlet opening configured at an upper portion of the commode to receive waste materials, and an outlet opening configured at a lower portion of the commode; and an enclosure adapted to accommodate the commode such that the upper portion of the commode with a seating means can be projected above an upper surface of the enclosure, and the lower portion of the commode with the outlet opening of the commode can be accommodated within the enclosure. The system can include a first door that can be pivotally fitted (such as by using hinges to enable axis of rotation) to an upper portion of the enclosure, wherein the first door is adapted to move between a closed position and an open position. At the closed position, the first door can be moved towards the lower portion of the commode to enable sealing or closing of the outlet opening. At the open position, the first door can be moved away from the lower portion of the commode to receive the waste materials from the commode into the enclosure. The first door can be biased by a biasing means in order to remain at the closed position when the waste materials are not present in the commode or when the waste materials are note received into the commode.

At the closed position, the first door 106 can be moved towards the lower portion of the commode 102 to enable sealing or closing of the outlet opening of the commode 102. At the open position, the first door 106 can be moved away from the lower portion of the commode 102 to receive the waste materials from the commode 102 into the enclosure 104.

When the weight of the waste materials is greater than the predefined magnetic force between the magnetic load and the magnetic surface, then the first door 106 can be opened to allow the waste materials into the enclosure 104.

[0057] In an embodiment, the system 100 can include a second door 110 that can be pivotally fitted (either by using hinges or by using any other rotatable means) to a bottom portion of the enclosure 104 to move between a closed position and an open position. At the closed position, the second door 110 can be sealed (by using rubber seals etc.) to an outlet opening of the enclosure 104 to prevent discharge of the waste materials from the enclosure 104. At the open position, the second door 110 can be moved away from the outlet opening of the enclosure 104 to allow discharge of the waste materials from the outlet opening of the enclosure 104, and movement of the second door 110 between the closed position and the open position can be dependent on the weight of the waste materials received in the enclosure 104. [0058] In an embodiment, the second door 110 can also be fitted with a magnetic material such that the second door 110 can be opened and closed by using magnetic force that is generated between the magnetic material attached to the second door 110 and any external magnetic material.
[0059] In an embodiment, the system 100 can include a gas outlet opening 112 that can be fitted to an upper surface of the enclosure 104. The gas outlet opening 112 can be adapted to allow discharge of bad odours or bad smells of the waste materials from the system 100. In this way, there is no leakage of toxic gases, smells, odours etc. from the inlet opening of the commode 102 and/or from any other component of the system 100. This can be able to prevent causing of any disease, infection etc. to the users (or occupants) who use the toilet system 100.
[0060] In an exemplary embodiment, the commode 102 can include a lid (such as cover, cap etc.) that can be pivotally attached to the upper portion of the commode 102 to prevent passage (flow, leakage etc.) of bad odours, toxic gases etc. through/via the inlet opening of the commode 102 that come from any or a combination of the commode 102, the first door 106, the enclosure 104, the second door 110 etc.

Claims

I Claim:
1. A toilet system, the system comprising:
a commode having an inlet opening at an upper portion of the commode to receive waste materials, and an outlet opening configured at a lower portion of the commode;
an enclosure adapted to accommodate the commode such that the upper portion of the commode with a seating means is projected above an upper surface of the enclosure and the lower portion of the commode with the outlet opening of the commode is accommodated within the enclosure; and
a first door pivotally fitted to an upper portion of the enclosure, wherein the first door is adapted to move between a closed position and an open position such that at the closed position, the first door is moved towards the lower portion of the commode to enable sealing of the outlet opening of the commode, and at the open position, the first door is moved away from the lower portion of the commode to receive the waste materials from the commode into the enclosure,
wherein the first door is biased by a biasing means to remain at the closed position, and
wherein movement of the first door between the closed position and the open position depends on a weight of the waste materials received in the commode such that when the weight of the waste materials received in the commode is more than a predefined biasing weight of the biasing means, the first door is moved from the closed position to the open position.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the biasing means is configured as a load suspended vertically downward, towards a surface attached to the enclosure, from a pivotal end of the first door, and another end opposite to the pivotal end of the first door is detachably attached to the lower portion of the commode, and wherein the suspended load has the predefined bias weight to enable hermetic sealing of the outlet opening of the commode if the waste materials are not present in the commode.
3. The system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the vertically downward suspended load is a load selected from any or a combination of a magnetic load and a non-magnetic load, and wherein the surface attached to the enclosure is a surface selected from any or a combination of a magnetic surface and a non-magnetic surface respectively.
4. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the system comprises a second door pivotally fitted to a bottom portion of the enclosure to move between a closed position and an open position such that at the closed position, the second door is sealed to an outlet opening of the enclosure to prevent discharge of the waste materials from the enclosure and at the open position, the second door is moved away from the outlet opening of the enclosure to allow discharge of the waste materials from the outlet opening of the enclosure, and wherein movement of the second door between the closed position and the open position depends on the weight of the waste materials received in the enclosure.
5. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the system comprises a gas outlet opening fitted to an upper surface of the enclosure, the gas outlet opening adapted to allow discharge of bad odours of the waste materials from the system.
6. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the commode comprises a lid that is pivotally attached to the upper portion of the commode to prevent passage of bad odours through the inlet opening of the commode that come from any or a combination of the commode, the first door, the enclosure and the second door.
7. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the system is fitted with a container to store the waste materials discharged from the outlet opening of the enclosure.
8. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the enclosure is a frame made of any of a metal and poly vinyl chloride (PVC) material, and wherein the first door and second door are made of a metal.
9. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the second door is fitted with a magnetic material.
