Abstract

The subject of the invention is a toilet basin (2). The toilet basin according to the invention has a partition (1) separated by which there is one department (5) for urine and another department (6) for solid excrement separated.

URINE AND FAECES

The object of the invention is a toilet basin.

It is generally known, that there is a basin in the toilets for the purpose of collecting the excrement. It is statutory to conduct the toilet waste to the public draining net or another kind of collecting the waste e.g. by using closed containers or miniature refineries all over in the densely populated areas, and only in some sparsely settled regions the urine is allowed to be absorbed by the soil. The toilet can be situated inside or outside of the house.

The operation of the toilets, which are not connected to the draining net, is most generally based on the latrine type, but there are also electrical as well as so-called chemical models, which stop the bacteriological functioning. The collected excrement generally is used for the fertilizing of the garden vegetation e.g. later, after a separate mouldering process.

Most generally the excrement and the urine produced in the toilet has been collected together to one basin. It is also generally known, that together these two stuffs produce a lot of smell and hygienic troubles e.g. by the pests, if the toilet is not based on the water-closet system. Therefore it is also known, that in the systems, which are not based on the water-closet system, the urine has been tried to separate from the solid excrement. In these cases different types of nets, separation channels, perforated or other types of drying basins, many kinds of mouldering processes or a simple absorbing by the soil have been used.

The purpose of this invention is to introduce a toilet basin which eliminates the drawbacks associated with the current types of toilet basins. The primary purpose of the invention is to make it possible to utilize this nearly odourless toilet basin as widely as possible in new or existing toilets. In particular, the purpose of the invention is to introduce a toilet basin in which the urine and the solid excrement can not be mixed together. Further, the purpose of the invention is to introduce a toilet basin which has simple construction and is cheap to produce.

The purpose of the invention is achieved with a toilet basin which possesses the characteristics presented in the claims.

According to the invention the toilet basin is equipped with a partition, divided by which, the toilet basin has one department for urine and another for solid excrement.

The partition for the separation of the urine and the excrement is placed in a certain position. The right position of the partition enables to separate nearly all the urine from the solid excrement. This takes place simply and naturally, and no extra equipment are needed in the basin or for the user. As the toilet is used, the urine and the excrement conduct themselves to the different sides of the partition.

The use of the partition sets no terms to the type of the toilet. The toilet can be a so- called latrine type, or its functioning can be based on liquid, electricity or chemicals. The advantage of the invention is also the simplicity of the solution.

So, the invention is to set the partition to the basin situated under the toilet seat, to an anatomically right position. No matter what sex, age or size the user of the toilet is, the partition separates the excrement and the urine to the different departments. It is essential, that the urine and the solid excrement, both now can be post-treated independently by the process, which is optimal to each of them.

E.g. a latrine, where the excrement and the urine are not mixed, produces much less smell than the traditional one. The solid excrement dries fast and gets odourless. The dry excrement or the plain urine the pests also do not seek for.

In the advantageous arrangements the basin has equipment, which make carrying and or pouring easier, such as a handle or a bill.

The basin can be produced of all known materials used for the transportation of this kind of liquids, materials as plastic, stainless steel, glass fiber etc. The basin can be used widely in the similar types of toilets all over the world. There are various ways of fastening and emptying the basin, as well as its size, form and model can vary. The basin may have equipment planned for carrying and pouring and it may be modelled in order to make the emptying easier, to improve the functioning or the outlooks. If an ordinary toilet basin will be replaced by a basin equipped with a partition, the use of the toilet gets essentially more effective, as it gets applicable to many more people because of its cleanness and decreased smell. The use of this simple toilet basin equipped with a partition will also essentially improve the level of the general hygiene and cleanness.

The disadvantages mentioned above can be eliminated and the aims defined above can be achieved by the toilet basin equipped with a partition described in this invention, which is characterized by the definitions of the distinctive features of the claims.

In the following the invention is explained in details by referring to the enclosed drawings:

Figure 1a shows the principle drawing of the toilet basin seen from aside. Figure 1b shows the principle drawing of the toilet basin seen from above. Figure 1c shows the principle drawing of the toilet basin seen from behind. Figure 2 shows the principle drawing visualising transparently the toilet seat and the basin beneath it, drawn without a handle for carrying and a bill for pouring.

In the figures 1a, 1b and 1c the basic model of the toilet seat 3 and, attached under its aperture 4, the toilet basin 2, where the position of the partition 1 can be seen. The partition has been installed to the right position both horizontally and vertically within a short distance from the front wall.. The partition 1 reaches in vertical direction a distance from the side of the toilet seat so that with the help of the partition the urine separates from the excrement into the two different sides of the partition 1. The first department 5 is for the urine and the second department 6 is for the solid excrement. The first department 5 is much larger than the second depart¬ ment 6. The size, form or material variations of the toilet seat 4 do not have any essential significance. The basin may have equipment such as a handle 7 for carrying and a bill 8 for pouring.

It is self-evident for a professional, that the invention is not limited only to this one example illustrated before, but can be varied within the limits of the claims described later.

1. Toilet basin (2), characterized in that the toilet basin has a partition (1 ) separated by which there is one department (5) for urine and another department (6) for solid excrement separated.

2.A toilet basin as described in claim 1, characterized in that there is a handle (7) for carrying.

3. A toilet basin as described in claim 1, characterized in that there is a bill (8) for pouring (8).
