LIPSTICK COMPOSITION FOR LIP CARE

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[1] The present invention deals with a lipstick composition that provides simultaneous benefits in lip treatment. Said composition comprises a mixture of ingredients obtained from Sesamum indicum, Helianthus annuus, Palm kernel, Theobroma cacao, Passiflora edulis and Oryza sativa.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[2] Lipsticks are among the favorite products of thousands of consumers around the world. In general, its cosmetic composition is produced from a waxy base that additionally comprises mixtures of pigments or dyes in order to obtain the desired color, along with oils, solvents, fragrances and even active ingredients.

[3] More recently, care lipsticks have attracted the attention of the consumer market. In general, their compositions add additional compounds aimed at obtaining benefits, mainly aimed at the anti-aging effect, hydration and ultraviolet protection.

[4] However, its cosmetic base imposes limitations to add, indiscriminately, a number of active ingredients seeking to obtain multiple effects.

[5] Thus, the challenge remains to obtain new lipstick compositions that provide simultaneous benefits in lip treatment, without compromising its main beautifying function.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[6] Seeking to overcome the state of the art obstacles, the Depositor has developed a lipstick composition that provides simultaneous benefits in lip treatment.

[7] Surprisingly, the said composition provides simultaneous benefits, without compromising the main purpose of beautifying the product, from a lipstick composition that comprises, in addition to the waxy-based components and other cosmetically suitable excipients, a selection of ingredients obtained from (i) Sesamum indicum, (ii) Helianthus annuus, (iii) Palm kernel, (iv) Theobroma cacao, (v) Passiflora edulis and (vi) Oryza sativa.

[8] The lipstick composition according to the present invention provides on the lips, in addition to (1) creamy finish, (2) high coverage and (3) high fixation, also (4) recovery of firmness (in 28 days) , (5) reduction of lines, (6) uniformity of texture, (7) hydration for 24 hours, (8) recovery of softness, (9) increased volume, (10) anti-signal action, (11) with UVA protection.

[9] In the context of the present invention, simultaneous benefits, cosmetic effects of care, treatment and protection are understood to occur simultaneously and unexpectedly, as demonstrated by tests performed with different cosmetic bases and colorings.

[10] Additionally, in the context of the present invention, the lipstick composition comprises a cosmetic base consisting of cosmetically acceptable excipients, including, without imposing any limitation, waxes, oils, pigments, dyes, fragrances and others known in the art.

[11] The following examples, without imposing any limitation, the particular embodiments of the present invention.

Example 1. Cosmetic composition of lipstick according to the present invention

[12] The compositions according to example 1 were tested to evaluate their effects on SPF 25 protection factor, UVA protection, immediate hydration, 24h hydration, prolonged hydration, softness recovery, uniformity of lip texture, lip restoration (just after 2h) ), improvement of the skin texture of the lips, repair / recovery of lip smoothness, antisignificant action, reduction of lines, recovery of volume and firmness of the lip.

[13] In addition, a creamy finish and high coverage, high fixation, ideal glide that facilitates application, creaminess and comfort during use were observed, having been observed that: - 75% of consumers who used it liked the duration of the product;

- 79% of consumers who used the product rated it as high coverage;

- 73% of consumers who used the product approved the fixation.

Example 3. Lip volume test.

[14] Regarding the recovery of lip volume, a 3% increase in lip volume was observed after 28 days of use; up to 4.9% increase in lip volume after 28 days of use and lip rejuvenation.

[15] The study was planned and conducted with 20 participants; average age: 35 ± 09 years. There were no reports or evidence of an adverse reaction during the study.

[16] When recruiting research participants, they were instructed to discontinue the use of any topical product 48 hours before the study began. On the day of the study, the research participants recruited who attended the laboratory were informed by the researcher about the study procedures, ethical and legal aspects, risks and benefits, medical support, ways of reimbursing the costs of participation and asked to sign the IC in two ways. The methodology consisted of an objective analysis performed by obtaining photographic images of the face of the research participants, at the beginning of the study (baseline condition), after 28, 45 and 90 days of home use of the investigational product. The analysis of the obtained images allowed to evaluate the increase of the lip volume supplied by the product under investigation.

[17] According to the study protocol and procedures used for the evaluation of the investigational product, it was found that: - After 28 days of using the investigational product at home, there was a significant increase (p <0.05) in the lip volume of 3.0%, reaching 4.9%.

- After 45 days of using the investigational product at home, there was a significant increase (p <0.05) in the lip volume of 3.7%, reaching 5.7%.

- After 90 days of home use of the investigational product, there was a significant increase (p <0.05) in the lip volume of 4.7%, reaching 6.7%.

[18] The man of the art will be able to readily evaluate, through the teachings contained in the text and in the examples presented, the advantages of the invention and to propose variations and equivalent alternatives of realization, without departing from the scope of the invention, as defined in the attached claims.

Claims

1. LIPSTICK COMPOSITION FOR LIP CARE characterized by the fact that it comprises ingredients obtained from (i) Sesamum indicum, (ii) Helianthus annuus, (iii) Palm kernel, (iv) Theobroma cacao, (v) Passiflora edulis e / or (vi) Oryza sativa and cosmetically acceptable excipients.

USE OF THE COMPOSITION, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that it is in the preparation of a lipstick composition that provides simultaneous benefits of (1) creamy finish, (2) high coverage and (3) high fixation, also the (4) recovery of firmness (in 28 days), (5) reduction of lines, (6) uniformity of texture, (7) hydration for 24 hours, (8) recovery of softness, (9) increase in volume, (10 ) anti-signal action, (11) with UVA protection.
