L'invention concerne un dispositif de tressage de nattes comprenant une zone de tressage (1), des éléments (6) pour maintenir les cheveux, une unité de roues dentées, un mécanisme d'entraînement avec un moteur électrique (7) et des guides; la zone de tressage comprend des roues dentées d'entraînement (2, 3) qui comportent des renfoncements (4) dans lesquels sont disposés les éléments (6) pour maintenir les cheveux (6) qui peuvent tourner et se déplacer réciproquement à l'aide d'une languette-commutateur (5), et qui se présentent sous forme de moulinets; le mécanisme d'entraînement comprend une unité de transmission avec deux blocs (8, 9) de roues dentées entraînées, comprenant chacun une grande roue (10) et des petites roues (11); les grandes roues dentées (10) comportent des mécanismes (12, 13) de marche arrière de la languette-commutateur, et le moteur électrique (7) est connecté aux blocs (8, 9) des roues dentées entraînées.
