  • Operation 3602 includes performing a conversion between a current video block of a video and a bitstream representation of the current video block using a matrix based intra prediction (MIP) mode in which a prediction block of the current video block is determined by performing, on previously coded samples of the video, a boundary downsampling operation, followed by a matrix vector multiplication operation, and selectively followed by an upsampling operation, where the performing the conversion includes deriving, according to a rule, boundary samples by applying a left bit shift operation or a right bit shift operation on a sum of at least one reference boundary sample, and where the rule determines whether to apply the left bit shift operation or the right bit shift operation.

Abstract

L'invention concerne des dispositifs, des systèmes et des procédés de codage vidéo numérique, comprenant des procédés de prédiction intra basée sur une matrice permettant un codage vidéo. Dans un aspect représentatif, un procédé de traitement vidéo consiste à déterminer, en vue du codage d'un bloc vidéo courant d'une vidéo en une représentation de flux binaire du bloc vidéo courant, un type d'échantillons voisins du bloc vidéo courant à utiliser selon une règle, et à ajouter, en fonction de la détermination, une représentation codée du bloc vidéo courant à la représentation de flux binaire, le bloc vidéo courant étant codé à l'aide d'un mode de prédiction intra basée sur une matrice (MIP) dans lequel un bloc de prédiction du bloc vidéo courant est déterminé en effectuant, sur des échantillons préalablement codés de la vidéo, une opération de sous-échantillonnage de limite, suivie d'une opération de multiplication de vecteur de matrice, et sélectivement suivie d'une opération de suréchantillonnage.
