Abstract

The invention is intended for use in combined supply and exhaust ventilation systems in residential and industrial buildings. A membrane heat exchanger comprises a heat-exchanging membrane made from a thin-walled sheet in the shape of a zigzag, which forms ribs that are perpendicular to the long side of the sheet. The heat-exchanging membrane is installed into a shell that fastens the membrane such that the end faces of the membrane are hermetically sealed, and slits for the admittance of air are configured in opposite sides of the shell. The invention increases the efficiency of heat transfer.
