"LIGHTING ASSEMBLY"
DESCRIPTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a lighting assembly .
[0002] Preferably, said lighting assembly 1 is of the type for outdoor environments. In particular, in the present discussion, by outdoor environments it is meant both those environments that are completely outdoor, that is completely subject to atmospheric agents, for example a garden, but at the same time also those semi-outdoor environments, such as for example balconies or external porches, however subject to atmospheric agents although partially sheltered by roof elements.
[0003] The lighting sector is characterized by huge innovation efforts, both from an aesthetic point of view, with the constant search for new shapes, and from a technical and functional point of view, often to support the new aesthetic trends.
[0004] In particular, one of the predominant tendencies is to have lighting devices with particular shapes, but which at the same time offer effective lighting.
[0005] In other words, the market requires that the lighting devices, in addition to having aesthetic features of particular value and workmanship, are suitable for producing effective and possibly localized lighting where necessary.
[0006] Going further into detail, it is required by the market that lighting devices in particular for walls, that is to say, mountable to a preferably vertical base surface, are suitable for emitting a high quantity of light as localized as possible.
[0007] At the same time, the lighting assembly must not be of complex shape and assembly, being as versatile and modular as possible.
[0008] Furthermore, at the same time, the lighting assembly must not involve the blinding of a person who observes it directly .
[0009] The object of the present invention is to provide a lighting assembly which effectively meets all the aforementioned requirements.
[0010] Such an object is achieved by a lighting assembly made according to the claim 1.
[0011] The features and the advantages of the lighting assembly according to the present invention will appear more clearly from the following description, made by way of an indicative and non-limiting example with reference to the accompanying figures, in which:

[0012] With reference to the accompanying figures, reference numeral 1 generally indicates a lighting assembly according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[0013] According to a preferred variant embodiment, the lighting assembly 1 is of the type for outdoor environments. In particular, the components described below as well as the ways in which some of them are mutually engaged are specifically suitable for withstanding the action of atmospheric agents.
[0014] According to the present invention, the lighting assembly 1 is mountable to a base surface S which extends substantially parallel to a vertical axis V-V. In other words, the lighting assembly 1 is mountable to a wall. In other words, the lighting assembly 1 is adapted to protrude from said base surface S cantilevered therefrom.
[0015] The lighting assembly 1 has a first side II and a second side 12.
[0016] Preferably, the first side II corresponds to the upper side, while the second side 12 corresponds to the lower side, or vice versa.
[0017] In other embodiments and installation variants of the lighting assembly 1, the first side II corresponds to the right side, while the second side 12 corresponds to the left side or vice versa.
[0018] According to the present invention, the lighting assembly 1 comprises a support body 2 engageable to the base surface S. In particular said support body 2 is fixable to the wall, for example by means of screws and/or plugs.
[0019] According to the present invention, the support body 2 peripherally comprises support walls 20.
[0020] Said support walls 20 comprise first walls 21, 23 which extend, mutually spaced, on planes substantially parallel to the base surface S and second walls 22, 24 which extend, mutually spaced on planes incident, preferably orthogonal, to the base surface S.
[0021] Preferably, the first "first wall 21" is proximal to the base surface S, that is, mountable to, engageable with, said base surface S. Preferably, the second "first wall 23" is distal from the base surface S.
[0022] According to a preferred embodiment, the support body 2 only comprises the aforementioned four walls. Preferably, the lighting assembly 1 substantially has the shape of a parallelepiped with a rectangular or square base. Preferably, the first walls are in length greater than the second walls. Preferably, the first walls and the second walls have substantially the same length.
[0023] According to the present invention, the support body 2 at the support walls 20 comprises at least one perimeter edge 20'. Preferably, the perimeter edge 20' is on the first side II.
[0024] According to a preferred embodiment, the support body 2 at the support walls 20 comprises two perimeter edges 20', 20", one at the first side II and one at the second side 12. [0025] Preferably, the support body 20 is hollow at its interior .
[0026] According to a preferred embodiment, the lighting assembly 1 comprises an electronic system 7 housed in the support body 2. Preferably, said electronic system 7 is connectable to an external power supply, and is electrically connected to the at least one light source 50 comprised in the lighting assembly described below.
[0027] Furthermore, according to the present invention, the lighting assembly 1 comprises at least one optical group 3, according to what is described below.
[0028] Specifically, according to a preferred embodiment such as that shown by way of example in figures la and lb, the lighting assembly 1 comprises a single optical group 3, on one side, preferably the first side II.

2b, the lighting assembly 1 comprises two optical groups
3, i.e. one on each side, i.e. one on the first side II and one on the second side 12.
[0030] According to the present invention, the optical group 3 is suitable for emitting light on the side in which it faces.
[0031] According to the present invention, each optical group 3 comprises a structure 4 which comprises a structure edge 40 suitable for engaging in its entirety the respective perimeter edge 20', 20".
[0032] Preferably, the structure 4 is fixable to the support body 2 by means of at least one screw, as shown by way of example in figures 3 and 4.
[0033] According to a preferred embodiment, the structure 4 is in a material selected from the families of transparent technopolymers and/or opaline technopolymers.

Preferably, said abutments 49 are located on the structure 40. Preferably, said abutments 49 extend along the entire length of the respective corresponding support wall or only by a longitudinal stretch .
[0061] Innovatively, the lighting assembly according to the present invention fully meets all the aforementioned needs by fulfilling the object for which it is intended.
[0062] Advantageously, the lighting assembly is extremely versatile, being configurable by the installer in a multiplicity of positions and configurations according to requirements. Advantageously, the lighting assembly is mountable in such a way as to produce and direct the light in a localized manner in the desired direction.
[0063] Advantageously, the lighting assembly has a simple shape and above all requiring simple and intuitive assembly and disassembly operations.
[0064] Advantageously, the lighting assembly, when observed directly, does not blind the observer.
[0065] Advantageously, the lighting assembly is extremely suitable for being positioned in an outdoor environment, being suitable for withstanding the action of atmospheric agents .

Claims

1. A lighting assembly (1), preferably for outdoor use, mountable on a base surface (S) extending substantially parallel to a vertical axis (V-V) defining a first side (II) and a second side (12), wherein the lighting assembly (1) comprises:
a) a support body (2), engageable to the base surface
(S) , peripherally comprising support walls (20), comprising first walls (21, 23), extending, spaced apart from each other, on planes substantially parallel to the base surface (S) and comprising second walls (22, 24), extending, spaced apart from each other, on planes which are incident, preferably orthogonal, to the base surface (S) , wherein the support walls (20) comprise at least one perimeter edge (20'; 20') on the first side (II);
b) at least one optical group (3) comprising:
a structure (4) comprising a structure edge (40) suitable to engage in the entire perimeter edge (20'; 20") and a light-permeable lighting screen (41) lying on a lighting plane (X) ;
- a diffuser device (5) mounted on the support structure (4) comprising:
1) a light source (50) consisting of a line of LEDs extending along an LED axis (L-L) , positioned proximally and substantially parallel to a support wall (20); m) a diffuser element (51) comprising a base (511) whereon the light source is positioned (50) and a diffuser surface (512) reflecting the light emitted by the light source (50) wherein the diffuser plate (512) extends planarly on a diffusion plane (Y) facing the lighting plane (X) .

A lighting assembly (1) according to claim 1, wherein the support body (2), in particular, the perimeter walls (20) comprise a first perimeter edge (20') on the first side (II) and a second perimeter edge (20") on the second side (12), wherein the lighting assembly (1) comprises two optical members (3) , each engaged to the respective perimeter edge (20', 20").
3. A lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the diffuser device (5) is mountable to the optical member (4) by means of fastening elements suitable to snap-engage with the optical member (4) .
4. A lighting assembly (1) according to claim 3, wherein the diffuser device (5) is mountable on the optical member (4) in a plurality of lighting positions, preferably in at least two lighting positions, wherein respectively the light source (50) is proximal to one of the first walls (21, 23) .
5. A lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the diffusion plane (Y) and the lighting plane (X) are reciprocally incident.
6. A lighting assembly (1) according to claim 5, wherein the diffusion plane (Y) is flat and inclined relative to the lighting plane (X) , defining a diffusion chamber with a tapered shape, distancing itself from the light source (50) .
7. A lighting assembly (1) according to claim 6, wherein the diffusion plane (Y) is curved, having a concavity facing the light source (50) and the lighting surface, defining a diffusion chamber in the form of a substantially circular arch.
8. A lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the claims 1 to 4, wherein the diffusion plane (Y) and the lighting plane (X) are parallel to each other, defining a diffusion chamber with a substantially constant shape.
9. A lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising at least one perimeter gasket element (8) positioned between the perimeter edge and the structure edge (40) in such a way as to ensure a tight engagement between the parts.
10. A lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising an electronic system (7) housed in the support body (2), wherein the electronic system (7) is electrically connected to the light source (50) .
11. A lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a cover frame (9) mountable on the support body (2) and on at least one optical group (3) housed thereon, wherein a cover frame (9) covers at least part of the support body (2) and the optical group (3) , preventing the mutual disassembly thereof except after removal of the cover frame (9) .
12. A lighting assembly (1) according to claim 11, wherein the cover frame (9) is mountable on the support body (2) and on at least one optical group (3) by means of an axial insertion operation in a direction orthogonal to the base surface (S) .
