Definitions
- This disclosure relates to base stations, terminals and communication methods.
- NR New Radio access technology
- LTE-License-AssistedAccess LTE-LAA
- LTE-LAA LTE-License-AssistedAccess
- NR-U NR-based Access to Unlicensed Spectrum
- LTE-LAA supports operation in the unlicensed band that accompanies operation in the licensed band.
- NR it is required to realize the operation (Stand-alone operation) in the unlicensed band without using the license band.
- a terminal In LTE, a terminal (sometimes called UE (User Equipment) transmits a data signal (for example, a downlink data channel (Physical Downlink Shared CHannel: PDSCH)) transmitted from a base station (sometimes called eNB). Upon receipt, it determines whether the data signal has been successfully decoded (for example, successful decoding or failed decoding). The terminal feeds back the determination result to the base station, and the base station retransmits (resends) the data signal notified of the decoding failure to the terminal based on the feedback information.
- a data signal for example, a downlink data channel (Physical Downlink Shared CHannel: PDSCH)
- eNB Physical Downlink Shared CHannel
- HARQ Hybrid Automatically Repeat reQuest
- the feedback information (in other words, the response signal) is called ACK / NACK, HARQ-ACK, HARQ feedback, or the like.
- the non-limiting embodiment of the present disclosure contributes to the provision of a base station, a terminal, and a communication method capable of appropriately controlling retransmission in a license-free band.
- a base station includes a transmitter that transmits control information regarding a request for retransmission of a response signal for downlink data, and a receiver that receives the response signal retransmitted based on the control information.
- the control information includes, and the control information is information for identifying any one of a plurality of candidate values regarding the number of the response signals requested to be retransmissiond, and the plurality of candidate values are any one of a plurality of granularity. It is set based on one.
- retransmission can be appropriately controlled in the license-free band.
- Block diagram showing a configuration example of a base station according to the second embodiment Block diagram showing a configuration example of a terminal according to the second embodiment
- HARQ-ACK for PDSCH is scheduled after the specified number of slots from the slot in which the PDSCH is transmitted.
- time division multiplexing method Time Division Duplex: TDD
- the HARQ-ACK timing is determined according to the settings determined for each DL / UL configuration.
- LTE-LAA also supports the operation of retransmission control by HARQ.
- HARQ-ACK in order to avoid the transmission of HARQ-ACK from the terminal to the base station being affected by the carrier sense (for example, Listen Before Talk: LBT), HARQ-ACK is in the license band. It is transmitted using a part of the uplink control channel (for example, Physical Uplink Control CHannel: PUCCH) or the uplink data channel of the licensed band or unlicensed band (for example, Physical Uplink Shared CHannel: PUSCH).
- PUCCH Physical Uplink Control CHannel
- PUSCH Physical Uplink Shared CHannel
- the operation of retransmission control by HARQ is supported even in the license band of NR (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 1).
- the base station (sometimes called gNB) can schedule each PDSCH and dynamically notify the terminal of information on HARQ-ACK timing and resource settings for PDSCH.
- NR in addition to the licensed band. Since NR is required to realize operation in the unlicensed band (Stand-Alone operation), unlike LTE-LAA, transmission of HARQ-ACK using the unlicensed band is being considered.
- the terminal determines whether or not transmission is possible based on the result of confirming the bandwidth occupancy status by carrier sense (for example, LBT), so that HARQ-ACK may not be transmitted depending on the determination result of LBT. is there.
- carrier sense for example, LBT
- the uplink (UL) resource for feeding back the success or failure (for example, HARQ-ACK) of decoding the data signal (for example, PDSCH) in the terminal to the base station is, for example, DCI that allocates the resource of PDSCH. Will notify the terminal as "PUCCH resource indicator".
- a plurality of candidates of set values are set in the terminal by higher layer signaling (for example, RadioResourceControl: RRC), and one of the plurality of candidates is selected.
- the notification for selection may be included as "PDSCH-to-HARQ_feedback timing indicator", for example, by the DCI that allocates PDSCH resources.
- a method using PUCCH or PUSCH is supported for the transmission of HARQ-ACK from the terminal to the base station.
- LTE-LAA supports that each device executes carrier sense (for example, LBT) before communication, and LBT is also used for NR unlicensed bandwidth operation (for example, NR-U). Is being considered for implementation.
- each device searches for an unlicensed band to be transmitted at a timing specified time before the signal transmission timing, and another device (for example, a base station). , Terminal, or Wi-Fi (registered trademark) device, etc.) confirms whether or not they are communicating in the band.
- Each device determines that the band confirmed by LBT that communication by other devices is not being used can be used for communication, and uses the band that cannot be confirmed by other devices for communication. Judge that it cannot be done.
- the transmittable time called "Channel Occupancy Time: COT" is set for the band once determined to be usable by the LBT, and the LBT is performed again for the communication after the transmittable time has elapsed.
- HARQ-ACK resources for the PDSCH are also allocated.
- HARQ-ACK is not transmitted unless the available band is confirmed as a result of the LBT immediately before the communication. Further, in the communication in the unlicensed band, the communication time is limited within the set COT length even for the band for which the available band can be confirmed.
- the HARQ-ACK resource allocated with the PDSCH allocation if the LBT does not confirm the available bandwidth, or if the HARQ-ACK resource is allocated outside the set COT range, the HARQ-ACK will be released. , May not be sent.
- the terminal does not retransmit HARQ-ACK, and the base station retransmits PDSCH because the determination of success or failure of decoding for PDSCH is unknown. Therefore, for example, if the PDSCH is retransmitted from the base station due to a HARQ-ACK transmission failure caused by LBT even though the terminal has succeeded in decoding the PDSCH, the resource utilization efficiency is reduced. Further, in the unlicensed band, as described above, there is a transmission restriction by LBT and COT, so there is no guarantee when the PDSCH is retransmitted.
- each HARQ-ACK for multiple PDSCHs is set to the same resource, and the terminal can transmit multiple HARQ-ACKs using a single PUCCH.
- the base station and the terminal recognize the same value for the number of HARQ-ACKs transmitted using PUCCH. Therefore, in NR, the base station notifies the terminal of counter / total DAI (Downlink Assignment Index) by the DCI corresponding to each PDSCH.
- the counter DAI indicates, for example, a value related to the cumulative number of PDSCHs transmitted to the terminal, and the total DAI indicates a value related to the total number of PDSCHs transmitted to the terminal, for example.
- the terminal determines the number of HARQ-ACKs to be transmitted (in other words, the number of PDSCHs to be received) in the HARQ-ACK resource (for example, PUCCH resource) notified from the base station based on the value of total DAI. Can be recognized.
- counter / total DAI indicates the value of the modulo operation result obtained by dividing the actual number of PDSCHs (for example, cumulative number or total number) by 4. Therefore, for example, if the terminal fails to receive DCI four times or more in a row, the terminal may not correctly recognize the number of PDSCHs actually transmitted from the DAI received thereafter.
- the terminal will The number of PDSCHs actually transmitted may not be correctly recognized from the received DAI.
- PUCCH resources are determined, for example, depending on the payload amount of transmission information including HARQ-ACK. Therefore, if there is a difference in recognition of the number of HARQ-ACKs assigned to the same PUCCH between the base station and the terminal, there may be a difference in recognition of the PUCCH transmission resource used for HARQ-ACK. In this case, the base station may not be able to receive PUCCH correctly and may not be able to receive HARQ-ACK.
- HARQ-ACK cannot be received at the base station as described above is that the continuous DCI reception failure at the terminal or the DCI reception failure assigned to the last slot is compared with the license band. Therefore, it may occur frequently in the unlicensed band due to interference with other systems such as Wi-Fi.
- one HARQ-ACK resource is allocated to one PDSCH. Therefore, due to transmission restrictions by LBT and COT in the unlicensed band, HARQ- The opportunity to send an ACK is not fully guaranteed. In addition, there is an error in the recognition of the number of HARQ-ACKs between the base station and the terminal due to continuous DCI reception failure at the terminal, which is expected to occur more frequently in the unlicensed band than in the licensed band. This can result in PUCCH reception failure at the base station.
- the transmission failure of HARQ-ACK is more likely to occur as compared with the licensed band.
- the base station requests the terminal to retransmit the HARQ-ACK (in other words, request or trigger). Further, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of retransmitting HARQ-ACK in the operation of the unlicensed band will be described.

- the terminal 200 determines the HARQ-ACK to be retransmitted (or the number of HARQ-ACKs to be retransmitted) based on the DCI of the HARQ-ACK retransmission request transmitted from the base station 100 (ST108). For example, the terminal 200 selects the HARQ-ACK to be retransmitted from the buffered HARQ-ACKs based on the information on the number of HARQ-ACKs included in the DCI of the HARQ-ACK retransmission request. The terminal 200 retransmits the selected HARQ-ACK (ST109), and the base station 100 receives the retransmitted HARQ-ACK (ST110).
- the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be resent is notified, for example, a value corresponding to the total number of PDSCHs transmitted from the base station 100 to the terminal 200 (in other words, the total number of HARQ-ACKs with respect to PDSCH).
- the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be resent may be a quantized value (an example will be described later).
- the base station 100 and the terminal 200 for example, associate the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be retransmitted with the value (for example, a bit value) of the notification bit that identifies (in other words, notifies) the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be retransmitted. You may share it.

Further, the terminal 200 determines the number of HARQ-ACKs associated with the notification bit value included in the DCI notified from the base station 100.

- the HARQ-ACKs (1 in the above example) indicating that the terminal 200 has not received the PDSCH may be retransmitted. Further, since the base station 100 recognizes the number of PDSCHs transmitted to the terminal 200 (in other words, the number of HARQ-ACKs to be retransmitted by the terminal 200), the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be retransmitted (5 in the above example). - FIG. 7 shows an example of the association between the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be resent and the notification bit (bit value) according to the method 2.
- the HARQ-ACK number 24 requested to be resent is associated with the maximum bit string '111' of the notification bit. - the terminal 200 can appropriately retransmit HARQ-ACK even in the unlicensed band in which the reception of DCI (in other words, PDCCH) is more likely to fail than in the license band. Further, since the recognition of the number of HARQ-ACKs between the base station 100 and the terminal 200 can be matched by the DCI of the HARQ-ACK retransmission request, it is possible to suppress the failure of receiving PUCCH in the base station 100.

It becomes easier to correctly recognize the number of HARQ-ACKs that require.
- the base station 100 notifies the terminal 200 of the quantized value of the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be resent. As a result, the amount of information required for notifying the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be resent can be reduced.
- the parameters that are the basis for determining the quantization coefficient are not limited to the number of CAs and the number of HARQ processes, but may be parameters that affect the increase or decrease in the number of HARQ-ACKs, for example.

Further, the DCI generation unit 302 retransmits the HARQ-ACK based on the information input from the error correction decoding unit 111 or the HARQ-ACK receiving unit 113. When determining the necessity of and requesting the retransmission of HARQ-ACK, a DCI (also referred to as Triggering DCI) including control information regarding the retransmission request of HARQ-ACK is generated. For example, the DCI generation unit 302 generates Total. Based on the information input from the DAI value buffer unit 301, the information regarding the Total DAI value requested to the terminal 400 is determined, and the DCI including the determined information is generated.

- the quantization coefficient described in the first embodiment is 2.
- a notification area for the number of HARQ-ACKs requested to be resent for each of terminals (UE) # 1 to #N is set in DCI.
- the notification bit '01' requesting retransmission is set in the notification area for UE # 1 of DCI shown in FIG. Therefore, UE # 1 determines, for example, with reference to FIG. 13, that the retransmission of the two HARQ-ACKs associated with the notification bit '01' is requested.
- other terminals of DCI (UE # 2, # 3, # 4, ..., UE # N) are also requested to retransmit 4, 0, 4, and 6 HARQ-ACKs, respectively. There is.

- the area in which the DCI shown in FIG. 12 is transmitted may be an area called a common search space or an area called a group common search space. This makes it easier for the DCI of the HARQ-ACK retransmission request to be monitored by multiple terminals at the same time.
- the format used for DCI shown in FIG. 12 may be distinguished from other DCIs by Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) as the same size as other DCI formats.
- RNTI Radio Network Temporary Identifier
- the DCI used when notifying the HARQ-ACK number requested by the base station to the terminal a DCI to which PDSCH is not assigned is used, and for example, one terminal may be notified.
- the area in which the DCI (also referred to as dedicated DCI) is transmitted may be an area called a common search space and a group common search space, or an area called a UE specific search space or the like. Since the signals transmitted to the UE specific search space are simultaneously monitored from one terminal, the base station can transmit DCI by, for example, a transmission beam formed toward the target terminal.
- the DCI that assigns different PDSCHs to the same terminal may include a notification of the number of HARQ-ACKs requesting retransmission.
- the base station notifies the terminal, for example, the DCI including the control information regarding the request for retransmission of HARQ-ACK for the PDSCH once assigned and the resource allocation of HARQ-ACK for the new PDSCH and the new PDSCH. You may.
- the terminal transmits, for example, the HARQ-ACK for the PDSCH once assigned and the HARQ-ACK for the new PDSCH in the resource assigned to the HARQ-ACK for the new PDSCH. May be good.
- the base station does not have to separately allocate the transmission resource of the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent when requesting the retransmission of HARQ-ACK, so that the resource utilization efficiency can be improved.
- FIG. 14 shows an operation example when a notification of the number of HARQ-ACKs requesting retransmission is included in the DCI that assigns different PDSCHs to the same terminal.
- the association between the notification bit (for example, Trigger: 2 bits) notified about the HARQ-ACK retransmission request in FIG. 14 and the number of HARQ-ACKs requested for retransmission is, for example, the association shown in FIG.
- HARQ-ACK for PDSCH transmitted from the base station in slot n and slot n + 1 is transmitted from the terminal in slot n + 2, and is transmitted from the terminal in slot m, slot m + 1 and slot m + 2.
- HARQ-ACK for PDSCH transmitted from the base station is notified from the base station to the terminal in PDCCH indicating the allocation of each PDSCH so as to be transmitted from the terminal in slot m + 4.
- HARQ-ACK is assigned to the PDSCH of slot n and slot n + 1 in slot n + 2, and as a result, HARQ-ACK of a total of 2 bits is transmitted in slot n + 2. Will be done.
- PUCCH transmission including HARQ-ACK in slot n + 2 has failed.
- the base station In order to request the retransmission of the HARQ-ACK that failed to be transmitted in slot n + 2, the base station has the notification bit of the HARQ-ACK retransmission request in the DCC of slot m, slot m + 1 and slot m + 2. Notify 01'(in other words, two HARQ-ACK retransmission requests).
- the base station allocates HARQ-ACK for PDSCH allocated in slot m, slot m + 1 and slot m + 2 to the resource of slot m + 4 and retransmits it to the terminal.
- the requested HARQ-ACK (for example, HARQ-ACK for PDSCH assigned to slot n and slot n + 1) can be assigned to the resource of slot m + 4.
- HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot m, slot m + 1 and slot m + 2 is matched with HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot n and slot n + 1. Also described the case of being assigned.
- the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, HARQ-ACK (in other words, HARQ-ACK required to be retransmitted) for PDSCH of slot n and slot n + 1 becomes a resource of a slot different from slot m + 4. It may be assigned.
- the resource allocated to the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent is the resource allocated to the HARQ-ACK transmission to the new PDSCH (PDSCH of slot m to slot m + 3 in FIG. 14) (slot m + in FIG. 14). It may be set based on 4).
- the resource allocated to the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent may be allocated to the slot immediately before the resource allocated to the HARQ-ACK transmission to the new PDSCH (slot m + 3 in FIG. 14).
- the base station and the terminal may share a rule regarding the resource to which the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent is assigned, and determine the resource according to the rule.
- the base station for example, base station 100 or base station 300
- the HARQ-ACK requested to be retransmitted may be retransmitted at a specified resource and timing.
- the timing of the HARQ-ACK resource (for example, PUCCH resource) requested to be resent may be the slot immediately after the slot in which the DCI (in other words, DL control signal) of the HARQ-ACK retransmission request is transmitted, and HARQ- It may be the first slot of the resource for the UL signal allocated after the slot in which the DCI of the ACK retransmission request was transmitted.
- the timing of the HARQ-ACK resource requested to be resent may be one of the PDSCH-to-HARQ-timing indicators set by the upper layer.
- the base station and the terminal can determine the PUCCH resource without notifying the PUCCH resource used for transmitting and receiving the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent.
- ⁇ Operation example 4-2> when the base station requests the retransmission of HARQ-ACK, the base station notifies the terminal of the information regarding the PUCCH resource (for example, resource and timing) of the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent. The terminal retransmits HARQ-ACK in the notified PUCCH resource.
- the PUCCH resource for example, resource and timing
- the terminal has a configuration already held by the RRC, such as that supported by the NR in Rel.15, to a DCI containing information about the HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource notified by the base station and requested to be retransmitted. Based on this, the actual resource allocation of the HARQ-ACK requested to be resent may be determined.
- the base station may reuse, for example, the information regarding the allocation of the HARQ-ACK resource (for example, PDSCH-to-HARQ_feedback timing indicator) included in the DCI that allocates the PDSCH resource.
- the terminal may reuse the method of receiving the DCI that allocates the PDSCH resource in the process of receiving the information regarding the allocation of the HARQ-ACK resource. This makes it possible to simplify the HARQ-ACK retransmission process in the base station and the terminal.
- the base station and the terminal are based on the transmission timing relationship (in other words, a common rule) between the DCI requesting the retransmission of HARQ-ACK and the DCI that allocates resources of other PDSCHs. Then, the allocation resource and transmission timing of the HARQ-ACK requested to be retransmitted are determined.
- 15A, 15B and 15C show an example of transmitting DCI (Triggering DCI) requesting HARQ-ACK retransmission and DCI to allocate resources of other PDSCH.
- DCI Triggering DCI
- 15A, 15B and 15C show a case where HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot m and slot m + 1 is assigned to slot p, but transmission of HARQ-ACK has failed.
- the DCI (for example, Triggering DCI) requesting the retransmission of the HARQ-ACK that failed to be transmitted in the slot p is before slot n (in other words, slot n, slot n + to which PDSCH is newly assigned). Shows the case where it is transmitted before 1 and slot n + 2).
- the base station has not yet assigned HARQ-ACK to PDSCH assigned to slot n to slot n + 2 at the time of requesting retransmission of HARQ-ACK. Therefore, the base station uses, for example, a resource of HARQ-ACK (for example, HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot n and slot n + 1) that requests retransmission, and a resource of HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot n to slot n + 2. It may be allocated independently of the resource allocation. For example, in FIG. 15A, the HARQ-ACK requesting retransmission is assigned to a slot q different from the HARQ-ACK resource (not shown) for the PDSCH of slot n to slot n + 2.
- the method supported by NR may be reused. For example, if the HARQ-ACK for PDSCH assigned to slot n to slot n + 2 is assigned to slot q in the same way as the HARQ-ACK requested to be retransmitted, the terminal will use the same resource for all HARQ-ACKs ( For example, it may be transmitted by slot q).
- the DCI requesting the retransmission of the HARQ-ACK that failed to be transmitted in slot p is between slot n and slot n + 2 (in other words, slot n, slot n to which PDSCH is newly assigned). Shows the case of transmission between +1 and slot n + 2.
- the base station when the base station requests the retransmission of HARQ-ACK, it has begun to assign HARQ-ACK to PDSCH assigned to slot n to slot n + 2. Therefore, the base station, for example, sets the resource of HARQ-ACK (for example, HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot n and slot n + 1) requesting retransmission to HARQ-ACK for PDSCH of slot n to slot n + 2. It may be assigned to the same resource.
