Description

Tabs and can lids for opening can lids
The present invention relates to a tab for opening a can lid and a can lid for improving finger grip and preventing unexpected opening.
As a conventional tab for opening a can lid, for example, the one described in Patent Document 1 is known. That is, the tab is fixed to the panel of the can lid via the rivet (fixed part), the tab nose (tab tip) is placed near the score, and the end opposite to the tab nose with respect to the rivet is at the initial opening of the score. A finger hooking portion (first finger hooking portion) for hanging a finger is provided.
When opening the can lid, put your finger on the finger hook of the tab and raise it upward with the rivet as a fulcrum to initially open the score with the tab nose, and after the initial opening, the inner peripheral edge of the ring of the tab (second finger). By hooking a finger on the hook and pulling it upward, the score is continuously sheared from the initial opening, the portion surrounded by the score is removed, and the can lid is opened.
Further, the panel of the can lid is provided with a pair of dimples close to the finger hook portion and a recess provided between the pair of dimples. By providing a recess, the gap between the finger hook and the panel is increased to make it easier for the fingertips to hang on the finger hook, and by providing dimples, when the can lids are stacked, the upper can lid is caught on the finger hook. It was designed to prevent the can lid from opening unexpectedly by preventing the bottom of the upper can from getting caught in the finger hook when stacking the cans with the can lid attached.

However, in the can lid of Patent Document 1, since the finger hook portion is curved in the direction opposite to the rivet, that is, in a convex shape toward the rear, the contact area of the finger is narrow, and the contact area of the finger is narrow at the time of initial opening. The force was concentrated, the pressure on the fingertips and the feeling of oppression increased, and the work was painful for the fingers.
Further, Patent Document 2 discloses a finger hook portion (first finger hook portion) extending linearly, and although the contact area of the finger is wider than that of Patent Document 1, pressure and pressure on the fingertip are still obtained. The feeling is great.
An object of the present invention is to facilitate the opening operation by improving the finger-holding property at the time of initial opening, reducing the pressure on the finger and the feeling of oppression, and providing the fingertip guideability to the finger-hooking portion, and also to prevent unexpected opening. It is an object of the present invention to provide a tab for opening a can lid and a can lid.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention
The tab body is fixed to the panel of the can lid body via the fixing portion, the tab tip portion of the tab body is arranged near the score, and the end portion opposite to the tab tip portion with respect to the fixing portion is initially opened. In the tab for opening the can lid provided with the first finger hook for hanging the finger,
The shape of the first finger hooking portion is characterized in that it is a curved shape that is concavely curved toward the fixed portion in a plan view viewed from the tab body side in the direction orthogonal to the panel. To do.
Since the first finger hook portion is curved in a concave shape toward the fixed portion and has a shape along the fingertip, it has good finger hooking property when a finger is hung, and also comes into contact with the fingertip shape. The contact area is increased, the pressure and pressure on the fingertips are reduced, and the fingertips are naturally guided along the curve, so that the opening operation can be facilitated. Further, when the can lids are stacked or when the cans with the can lids are stacked, the upper can lid and the bottom of the upper can are less likely to be caught by the first finger hook portion, and unexpected opening can be prevented.
Further, the present invention can be configured as follows.
1. 1. The distance between the first finger hooking portion and the panel in a side view parallel to the panel of the can lid main body and viewed from the direction in which the central portion of the first finger hooking portion and the fixing portion overlap is set. The central portion is curved in a convex shape so as to be larger than both ends.
Since the central portion of the first finger hook portion is curved convexly so as to increase the distance from the panel, the fingertips can be inserted in combination with the concave curvature toward the fixed portion. It is easy and the opening operation is easy.
Further, since the first finger hook portion is curved in a concave shape toward the fixed portion, when the cans are stacked up and down, or when the can lids are stacked up and down, the edge of the can bottom of the upper can and the edge of the can bottom Even if the edge of the upper can lid hits the first finger hook, the central part where the gap between the can lid body and the panel is the largest is the central part where the gap with the panel is the largest and the can bottom and the edge of the can lid are easily caught. Since the can is curved in a concave shape toward the fixed portion, it is located far from the bottom of the can and the edge of the can lid, so that it is difficult to be caught and an unexpected opening can be prevented.
2. 2. The first finger hooking portion is configured to be curved in an arch shape in the side view, and is inclined so that the central portion is in the fixed portion side with respect to the line connecting both ends in the plan view. It has a sloping arch shape.
The inclined arch shape makes it easier for the fingertip shape to come into contact with the first finger hook portion, and it is possible to further reduce the pressure and oppressive feeling on the fingertip when lifting, and the opening operation becomes easier. ..
3. 3. The facing surface of the first finger hooking portion with the panel becomes an inclined surface that inclines in a direction in which the gap between the facing surface and the panel gradually narrows from the first finger hooking portion toward the fixed portion. ing.
Since the surface facing the panel is an inclined surface, the ventral surface of the fingertip can be applied to the facing surface, and the tab can be easily, surely, and easily lifted at the time of initial opening, and the opening property is improved. improves.
4. The surface of the first finger hooking portion facing the panel is curved so that the inclination angle with the panel gradually increases from the end portion of the first finger hooking portion toward the central portion and becomes maximum at the central portion. It is a sloped surface.
Since the surface facing the panel is configured so that the inclination angle of the central part is maximized, the fingertip can be guided to the central part, and the raising direction can be naturally guided toward the tip of the tab. it can.
5. It is a tab for opening a can lid that can be easily opened by removing the tab together with the removal piece of the panel, and the tab body has a finger hook hole into which a finger can be inserted between the fixed portion and the first finger hook portion. Is provided, and the edge portion of the finger hook hole on the opposite side of the first finger hook portion is the second finger hook portion.
Such an easily openable tab for opening the can lid requires a large force at the time of initial opening, and as in the present invention, the shape of the first finger hook portion is curved in a concave shape toward the fixed portion in a plan view. It is effective to let them do it.
Further, the can lid of the present invention is characterized by including a tab for opening the can lid and a can lid main body to which the tab is fixed.
According to the present invention, since the first finger hooking portion is curved in a concave shape toward the fixed portion, the finger hooking property at the time of initial opening is improved, the pressure on the finger and the feeling of oppression are reduced, and the finger hooking portion is further formed. By providing fingertip guidance to the fingertip, the opening operation can be facilitated, and in addition, unexpected opening can be prevented.

The tab 10 is a plate-shaped member having an oval contour having a line symmetry with respect to the first center line N1. The tab body 11 is fixed to the first panel portion 31 of the center panel 3 of the can lid body 2, and the tab The tab tip portion 12, which is the end portion on the small diameter side of the main body 11, is arranged in the vicinity of the score 6. Further, a first finger hooking portion 20 for hooking a finger at the time of initial opening is provided on the rear end side, which is an end portion on the large diameter side opposite to the tab tip portion 12 with respect to the rivet portion 7.
The rivet portion 7 is close to the tab tip portion 12 and is located at the first panel portion 31 of the center panel 3, the position of the first finger hook portion 20 is arranged near the panel center O1 of the center panel 3, and the straight line of the step portion 33. It faces the second panel portion 32 beyond the portion 332.
As shown in FIG. 1 (B), on the outer peripheral edge of the tab 10, a curl portion 17 obtained by folding back a plate material constituting the tab body 11 in an arc shape on the back surface side extends over the entire circumference except for the tab tip portion 12. Is formed. The tab tip portion 12 is bent in a valley shape in the direction along the first center line N1 to increase its rigidity.
Further, the rear end portion of the tab 10 on which the first finger hook portion 20 is provided is configured to be connected to the side side portions 16 and 16 of the tab 10 via the corner portions 13c and 13c whose both ends are arcuate. The first finger hook portion 20 is formed between the corner portions 13c and 13c at both ends.
Further, the tab body 11 is provided with a finger hook hole 14 into which a finger can be inserted between the rivet portion 7 and the first finger hook portion 20, and the curl portion 18 is also ring-shaped at the edge portion of the finger hook hole 14. The edge portion on the rivet portion 7 side with respect to the first finger hook portion 20 of the finger hook hole 14 is the second finger hook portion 30 after the initial opening. The second finger hooking portion 30 is configured to be slightly convexly curved toward the anti-rivet portion side in a plan view, but may be configured to be linear. If the peripheral edge of the finger hook 14 is a ring 13, the first finger hook 20 will be provided at the rear end of the ring 13.
Next, with reference to FIG. 2, the shape of the first finger hook portion 20 will be described in detail.
2 (A) is a partially enlarged plan view of the tab of FIG. 1, FIG. 2 (B) is a cross-sectional view along the first center line of FIG. 2 (A), and FIG. 2 (C) is FIG. 2 (B). ) Is a side view seen from the C direction.
That is, as shown in FIG. 2 (A), the first finger hook portion 20 is curved in a concave shape toward the rivet portion 7 in a plan view viewed in the direction orthogonal to the tab body 11 side with respect to the center panel 3. It has a curved shape. In the illustrated example, the shape is an arc centered on the center of curvature (not shown) located on the first center line N1.
As shown in FIG. 2B, the cross-sectional shape of the first finger hook portion 20 is an arc cross section that makes a U-turn in an arc shape from the top surface side to the back surface along the curl portion 17, and is a first finger hook portion. The contour line L in the plan view of 20 is the shape of the protruding end whose arc cross section protrudes most to the side opposite to the rivet portion 7. The first finger hooking portion 20 is a region in which a finger comes into contact when the tab 10 is raised at the initial opening, centering on a region having an arcuate cross section including the contour line L at the rear end of the tab 10, and the second panel portion 32. The 20c side of the panel facing surface facing the panel is also included.
Both ends 20b and 20b in the direction orthogonal to the first center line N1 are connected to the corners 13c and 13c, and both ends 20b and 20b are in contact with the orthogonal line V1 orthogonal to the first center line N1 and are in contact with the central portion. 20a enters the rivet portion 7 side by a predetermined depression dimension h from the orthogonal line V1.
The distance A between the ends 20b and 20b of the first finger hooking portion 20 is preferably 5 to 15 mm, more preferably 8 to 11 mm. The radius of curvature R of the first finger hook portion 20 is preferably 6 to 74 mm, and the recessed dimension h of the central portion 20a with respect to the end portions 20b and 20b is preferably 0.2 to 1.0 mm, preferably 0.4 to 0. 8 mm is more preferable. The radius of curvature R does not have to be a single curvature as long as the distance A and the recess dimension h satisfy the above ranges. As an example, it may be a composite R or a trapezoidal shape.
When the recessed dimension h is smaller than 0.2 mm, the shape is close to flat, and the pressure on the finger and the feeling of oppression are increased. On the other hand, when the recess size h exceeds 1.0 mm, the curl portion 17 is processed into this shape by partially changing only the first finger hook portion 20 using the same material as the conventional tab with the existing equipment. The shape collapses, making it impossible to obtain stable shapes and dimensions. If the recess size h is 0.2 or more, it can be curved close to the shape of the fingertip, and the pressure and oppressive feeling on the finger can be reduced. Curved shape can be formed.
Next, with reference to FIG. 2C, the side surface shape of the first finger hook portion 20 will be described.
In this side view, the first finger hooking portion 20 is parallel to the first panel portion 31 and the second panel portion 32 of the center panel 3, and the direction of the rivet portion 7 is viewed from the first finger hooking portion 20 side. It is a projection drawing of the side view seen from the direction in which the central portion 20a of the first finger hook portion 20 overlaps the center O7 of the rivet portion 7, that is, the direction along the first center line N1. In this side view, the first finger hook portion 20 is curved convexly with respect to the center panel 3 so that the central portion 20a is higher than both end portions 20b and 20b.
Explaining the convex shape of the first finger hooking portion 20 as the shape of the contour line L in the plan view, the contour line L is the shape of the first finger hooking portion 20 as shown by the alternate long and short dash line in the side view. It appears almost in the center, and the shape of the contour line L is curved in a convex shape with respect to the center panel 3. In this curved shape, the inclination angle (angle formed by the tangent of the contour line and the center panel) with respect to the center panel 3 is the largest at both end portions 20b and 20b, gradually decreases toward the central portion 20a, and at the central portion 20a. Has an arch shape that curves so that it is almost horizontal.
The central portion of the second finger hook portion 30 is also slightly higher than the end portion, and is curved in a convex shape with respect to the second panel portion 32. The degree of curvature of the second finger hooking portion 30 is smaller than that of the first finger hooking portion 20, and may be formed linearly.
FIG. 3 is a perspective view schematically showing the first finger hooking portion 20.
That is, the plane orthogonal to the center panel 3 passing through the first center line N1 is defined as the first center plane N0, and the plane orthogonal to the center panel 3 passing through the orthogonal line V1 connecting both ends of the first finger hooking portion 20 is an orthogonal plane. As V0, the contour line L of the first finger hook portion 20 is shown three-dimensionally.
As shown in the figure, the first finger hook portion 20 is rivet so that the central portion 20a of the contour line L is located on the rivet portion 7 side by the recessed dimension h with respect to the orthogonal planes V0 in contact with both end portions 20b and 20b. It has an inclined arch shape that inclines toward the portion 7.
Next, the panel facing surface 20c of the first finger hooking portion 20 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 2 (B), the facing surface 20c of the center panel 3 of the first finger hooking portion 20 facing the second panel portion 32 is a second from the first finger hooking portion 20 toward the rivet portion 7. The inclined surface is inclined in a direction in which the gap with the panel portion 32 is gradually narrowed. The tilt angle of the facing surface 20c with respect to the second panel portion 32 (the tilt angle when cut in a plane parallel to the first central surface N0 in FIG. 3) is determined by the both end portions 20b of the first finger hooking portion 20. It is configured to gradually increase from 20b and incline so as to be maximum at the central portion 20a. The inclination angle cut at the first central surface N0 of the facing surface is 5-10 °.
Next, the operation of the present invention will be described.
When opening the can lid, as shown in FIG. 4A, put the fingertip in the gap between the tab 10 and the second panel portion 32 while putting the fingertip on the first finger hook portion 20 of the tab 10. By raising the rivet portion 7 upward with the rivet portion 7 as a fulcrum, the score 6 is partially initially opened at the tab tip portion 12 by the action of the lever, and the tab 10 is further grasped by the thumb and index finger and raised to about 90 degrees (Fig. 4 (B)). After the initial opening, although not particularly shown, the score 6 is initially opened by firmly inserting a finger into the finger hook hole 14 of the tab 10, hooking the finger on the second finger hook portion 30, and lifting the tab 10 upward. The part B is continuously sheared, and the planned opening portion surrounded by the score 6 is removed to open the entire surface.
At the time of initial opening, a large reaction force acts from the first finger hooking portion 20 to the fingertip, but the first finger hooking portion 20 is curved concavely toward the rivet portion 7 as shown in FIG. 4 (C). Since the contact is made along the shape of the fingertip, the contact area of the contact portion P1 is increased, the reaction force acting on the finger is dispersed, the pressure and the feeling of pressure on the fingertip are reduced, the fit of the fingertip is improved, and the initial feeling is improved. The opening operation can be done easily.
In particular, in the first finger hook portion 20, the central portion 20a is curved convexly with respect to the second panel portion 32, and the first finger hook portion 20 has an arch shape, and faces the second panel portion 32. Since the surface 20c is an inclined surface such that the gap gradually becomes smaller toward the rivet portion 7, the ventral surface of the finger can be applied to the panel facing surface 20c of the first finger hooking portion 20 at the time of initial opening. Raising the tab 10 can be easily, surely, and easily performed.
Further, in the first finger hooking portion 20, when the can lids are stacked up and down, or when the cans are stacked up and down, the edge of the upper can lid or the can bottom of the upper can is the first finger hooking portion. Even if it hits 20, the central portion 20a having the largest gap with the second panel portion 32c is located far from the rivet portion 7, so that it is difficult to get caught in the central portion 20a and an unexpected opening can be prevented.
4 (D) and 4 (E) show a tab 210 provided with a conventional first finger hook 220 as a comparative example.
As shown in FIG. 4E, the tab 210 of this comparative example does not have a configuration in which the first finger hook portion 220 is curved concavely toward the rivet portion 7, but is curved convexly toward the rivet portion 7. Further, as shown in FIG. 4D, the configuration is such that the tip is raised by a predetermined height. In this case, as shown in FIGS. 4 (D) and 4 (E), although there is a gap between the first finger hook portion 220 and the panel, the contact area of the contact portion P2 with the fingertip is small, and the tab 210 is a finger. The pressure and pressure are high, and it may cause strong pain when opening.
Other Embodiments FIG. 5 shows other embodiments of the present invention. In the following description, only the points different from the above-described embodiment will be described, and the same components will be designated by the same reference numerals and the description thereof will be omitted.
That is, in this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the gap between the second panel portion 32 and the first finger hooking portion 20 is further increased in the vicinity of the first finger hooking portion 20. Therefore, this is an example in which the embossing under the tab 35 is provided. When the tab lower emboss 35 is provided, the lower surface convex portion 35a corresponding to the tab lower emboss 35 protrudes from the back surface of the second panel portion 32.
When the can lids 1 are stacked vertically, as shown in FIG. 5C, when the positions of the tabs 10 and 10 of the upper and lower can lids 1 and 1 in the circumferential direction overlap, the lower surface convex portion 35a is a lower can. The edge of the tab bottom emboss 35 on the tab side is set to the position just before the rear end of the tab 10 so as not to interfere with the tip-up first finger hook portion 20 of the tab of the lid.
In the present invention, since the first finger hook portion 20 is concavely curved toward the rivet portion 7, the end portion 35b on the tab side of the tab bottom emboss 35 can be brought closer to the rivet portion 7. Therefore, when the position of the end portion 35c on the anti-rivet portion side of the tab lower emboss 35 is determined, the area of the tab lower emboss 35 can be increased, the fingertips can easily enter the tab lower emboss 35, and the opening operation is performed. Will be easier.
FIG. 5D shows a comparative example with the present invention. In this comparative example, the shape of the first finger hook portion 20'of the tab 10'is a shape that is convexly curved toward the anti-rivet portion side, and is embossed under the tab as shown by the alternate long and short dash line in FIG. 5 (A). The area of 35'is reduced.
In this example, an easy-to-open type can lid in which the tab for opening the entire surface is removed together with the removal piece is described as an example, but a stayion type can in which the tab remains together with the removal piece, such as a beverage can. It can also be applied to lids. In the case of such a stayion type, it is advantageous to be able to expand the embossing under the tab. That is, in the case of the stayion type, although not shown in particular, there is usually a rivet portion on the center side of the can lid, the rear end of the tab is close to the chuck wall portion on the periphery of the can lid, and there is a space for embossing under the tab. Because of the restrictions, it is advantageous to have the first finger hook portion curved toward the rivet portion as in the present invention.

Next, a sensory evaluation test of the can lid using the tab for opening the can lid of the present invention will be described.
(Explanation of tabs)
As evaluation samples, two types of lids were prepared using the tab of the present invention and the tab of the conventional shape.
The tab of the present invention has the shape shown in FIG. 2, and the distance A between the ends 20b and 20b of the first finger hook portion 20 is 10 mm, the recess dimension h is 0.4 mm, and the radius of curvature R is 29.5 mm. It has an inclined arch shape.
As shown in FIGS. 4 (D) and 4 (E), the tab of the conventional shape has a tip-up shape of the first finger hook portion 220 with respect to the inclined arch shape of the first finger hook portion 20 of the present invention. The same shape and dimensions were prepared except for the points. That is, as shown in FIG. 4 (E), the first finger hook portion 220 is not a configuration that is concavely curved toward the rivet portion 7, but is curved convexly toward the rivet portion 7, and further, FIG. As shown in D), the configuration is such that the tip is raised by a predetermined height. The height of the tip-up is the same as the height of the first finger hook portion 20 of the present invention.
(Preparation of lid for evaluation test)
Two types of lids were produced using the tab of the present invention and the conventional tab as tabs of an aluminum full opening lid (full-opening type lid) having a lid outer diameter of 79.4 mm (name: 215 diameter). Hereinafter, the lid provided with the tab of the present invention will be referred to as a lid of "Example", and the lid provided with a conventional shape tab will be referred to as a lid of "Comparative Example".
(Making canned food for opening evaluation)
After wrapping the lid of the example or the lid of the comparative example on one side of the welding can, put water in the can, and while pulling a vacuum so that the degree of vacuum in the can becomes -30 kPa, sprinkle on the other side. The lid was wrapped to prepare a can for opening evaluation.
(Outline of the test)
In the test, 20 subjects (10 men and women aged 20 to 40 years old) performed the opening operation of the canning for opening evaluation, and the lids of "Examples" and "Comparative Examples" were used for the following items a to d. Relative comparison of lids, "Example" lid is better, "Example" lid is slightly better, unchanged, "Comparative example" lid is slightly better, "Comparative example" lid Was evaluated on a 5-point scale.
The opening motion was left to the subject, that is, the finger to be used and the method of applying the finger were not specified, and the subject was asked to perform the opening motion in a daily manner.
(Evaluation item)
a. Ease of finger hooking on tabs: Which lid is easier to hook your finger on?
b. Fingertip pressure and pain: Which lid has less fingertip pressure and pain when you hang your finger on the tab?
c. Fingertip guidance: Which lid is more likely to guide your fingertips toward the center of the tab?
d. Comprehensive evaluation: Which lid is easier to open initially?

(result)
As shown in Table 1, regarding the ease of finger hooking of item a, 4 people said that the comparative example was better, while "somewhat good" was said that the example was better. There were 12 people (60%).
Regarding item b, regarding the feeling of pressure on the fingertips and less pain, eight people, including "somewhat good," answered that the examples were better, and two people said that the comparative examples were better. It was. The most common answer was "no change" with 10 people, but it is considered that the effect was great for the subjects who fit the fingertips because the size and shape of the fingertips varied greatly among individuals.
The fingertip guidance of item c had the same tendency as that of item b.
Regarding the comprehensive evaluation of item d, there was a tendency similar to the ease of finger hooking, and 13 people (65%), including "somewhat good", said that the lid of the example was better.
(Test by statistical method)
The sensory evaluation is a relative comparative evaluation of the lid of "Example" and the lid of "Comparative Example" for each subject, and the result is treated as a pair of paired data, and each population average is measured by t-test. It was tested whether there was a difference in.
Specifically, for each subject, the lid of "Example" is better, the lid of "Example" is slightly better, does not change, the lid of "Comparative Example" is slightly better, "Comparative Example" The 5 grade evaluation results, which are better for the lid, are rated as 2 points, 1 point, 0 point, -1 point, and -2 points, respectively, and the lid of "Example" and the lid of "Comparative Example" are given. Whether there is a difference in the population average of the scores, in other words, whether the null hypothesis that the population average of the scores is equal (the average of the evaluation results is 0 points) can be rejected, t-test (one side) Was done. As a result, the risk rate was 5%, and in all the evaluation items a to d, the lid of "Example" was better than the lid of "Comparative Example".
In the above embodiment, the center panel 3 has a first panel portion 31 and a second panel portion 32 lower than the first panel portion 31, but the second panel portion 32 may not be provided. Further, although the center panel 3 has a structure having an embossed portion 34, the embossed portion 34 may not be provided.
Further, the first finger hook portion 20 has a tip-up shape in which the central portion 20a is raised in an arch shape, but the tip-up shape does not have to be formed. Even in this case, the contact area of the fingertip can be made larger than before, and the pressure and the feeling of oppression on the fingertip can be reduced. Further, even if the chip-up configuration is not used, in order to secure a gap, as described above, a finger is formed by forming an embossed portion under the tab in the vicinity of the first finger hooking portion 20 on the panel surface side. It is possible to secure a gap for entering.
Further, in the case of a chip-up shape, in the above embodiment, the shape is curved in an arch shape in a side view with respect to the panel surface, but the shape is not limited to the arch shape, and other shapes such as a trapezoidal shape can be used. Good.
Further, regarding the tip-up shape, in the above embodiment, the panel facing surface 20c of the first finger hooking portion 20 is an inclined surface that is inclined in a direction in which the distance from the second panel surface 32 gradually becomes narrower toward the rivet portion 7. However, it does not have to be an inclined surface.
Further, in the above embodiment, the tab of the easy-opening lid for full opening has been described, but of course, the tab of the easy-opening lid for partial opening can also be applied, and as described above, like the can lid of a beverage can. It is also applicable to the tab of the steion type can lid in which the tab remains on the opening piece in the can lid after opening. Further, the container to which the can lid is applied is not limited to a positive pressure can and a negative pressure can, and can be applied to various containers.
