特に熱帯地域における隔離地や過疎地の系統未整備地域では、現状では主にディーゼルエンジン発電機等により電力が供給されていることが多いが、日照条件がよく太陽光発電に適していることもあり、再生可能エネルギーを有効活用して経済性向上を図るとともに、低炭素社会の実現にも貢献可能な電力供給システムに対するニーズは高い。また、電力系統インフラが既に整備されている地域においても、自然災害等で電力系統が停止した場合に、需要家設備に設置されている太陽光発電システムを系統と切り離して自律運転させ、電力系統停止時にも負荷に対して安定かつ継続的に電力を供給する直流給電システムへの期待が高まっている。

本発明において、前記ビーコンは、前記蓄電池の充電率及び前記自然エネルギー発電装置の発電量の少なくとも一方に関する情報をさらに含むことが好ましい。これにより、ノード間で電力を融通し合う際のトリガ信号としてビーコンを利用することができ、一方のノードから他方のノードへ電力を供給することができる。また、監視対象のノードがダウンした際にビーコンに含まれる情報を利用してその原因を究明することができ、電力不足によるものか、あるいは電力管理装置の故障によるものかを推測することができる。
前記ビーコンは、一方向通信の無線信号であることが好ましい。分散型直流給電システムではノードの待機電力をできるだけ小さくする必要があり、ノードの相互監視を双方向通信により実現する場合には消費電力の増加の懸念がある。しかし、ノードの相互監視のための通信方式として一方向通信を採用することで、双方向通信に比べて消費電力を抑えることができる。
前記ビーコンは、双方向通信の信号であってもよい。例えば、一方のノードが他方のノードに無線信号で特定の問い合わせコマンドを送り、他方のノードからの応答コマンドを受信した場合に、他方のノードが正常に動作しているものと判断することができる。これにより、ノードの相互監視のための通信の信頼性を高めることができる。
本発明によれば、専用の監視機器を用いることなくノードの異常を検知することが可能な分散型直流給電システムを提供することができる。
以下、添付図面を参照しながら、本発明の好ましい実施の形態について詳細に説明する。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態による分散型直流給電システムの構成を示す模式図である。
図1に示すように、分散型直流給電システム1は、小規模な独立型直流給電システムを構成する複数のノード2と、複数のノード2間を相互に接続する直流バス10とを備えており、複数のノード2及び直流バス10はDCグリッド(直流送電網)を構成している。各ノード2は、発電機能及び蓄電機能を有しており、直流バス10を介して電力を融通しあうことができる。
図2は、ノード2の構成を概略的に示すブロック図である。
図2に示すように、ノード2は、直流給電の母線となる直流バス10と、直流バス10に接続されたDC/DCコンバータ21~23と、DC/DCコンバータ21を介して直流バス10に接続された自然エネルギー発電装置30と、DC/DCコンバータ22を介して直流バス10に接続された負荷機器40と、DC/DCコンバータ23を介して直流バス10に接続された蓄電池50と、自然エネルギー発電装置30による発電電力量と負荷機器40による負荷電力量とを比較し、発電電力量が負荷電力量を上回る場合に蓄電池50を充電し、負荷電力量が発電電力量を上回る場合に蓄電池50が放電するように、DC/DCコンバータ21~23の動作を含むシステム全体を管理する電力管理装置60と、インターネット等の通信ネットワーク70を介して電力管理装置60と通信可能に構成された管理者端末71とを備えている。
直流バス10の電圧は、例えば350±100Vの高圧直流伝送路である。そのため、それよりも低い電圧で動作する機器を直流バス10に接続する場合には、DC/DCコンバータを介して接続する必要がある。DC/DCコンバータ21は、自然エネルギー発電装置30からの例えば240Vの発電電力を350Vまで昇圧して直流バス10に供給する一方向DC/DCコンバータ(昇圧コンバータ)であり、DC/DCコンバータ22は、直流バス10上の350Vの電力を24Vまで降圧して負荷機器40に供給する一方向DC/DCコンバータ(降圧コンバータ)である。DC/DCコンバータ23は、直流バス10上の電力を降圧して蓄電池50に供給すると共に、蓄電池50からの電力を昇圧して直流バス10に供給する双方向DC/DCコンバータである。DC/DCコンバータ21~23は、ON/OFF指令受信機能及び電力量調整指令受信機能を有しており、電力管理装置60と通信可能に構成されている。
自然エネルギー発電装置30は、例えば太陽光発電装置30Aや風力発電装置30Bなどである。本実施形態において、太陽光発電装置30Aは太陽光発電パネル及びパワーコンディショナーを含み、DC/DCコンバータ21Aを介して直流バス10に接続されている。風力発電装置30Bは風力発電機本体及びパワーコンディショナーを含み、DC/DCコンバータ21Bを介して直流バス10に接続されている。DC/DCコンバータ21A,21Bは、それぞれのパワーコンディショナーに内蔵されたものであってもよい。パワーコンディショナーは、MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking)機能、ON/OFF指令受信機能、電力量調整指令受信機能、発電情報送信機能等を有しており、電力管理装置60と通信可能に構成されている。直流バス10に接続される自然エネルギー発電装置30の種類や台数は特に限定されないが、太陽光発電装置30Aを含むことが好ましい。太陽光発電装置30Aや風力発電装置30Bが発電した電力は、直流バス10を介して負荷機器40や蓄電池50に供給される。
負荷機器40は、例えばPC、エアコン、TV、LED照明などである。これらの負荷機器40A~40Dは、DC/DCコンバータ22A~22Dを介して直流バス10にそれぞれ接続されており、直流バス10から電力の供給を受ける。
蓄電池50は、複数の蓄電池50A~50Cを含み、各蓄電池50A~50Cは蓄電池本体(バッテリーセル)と充電状態を監視し制御するためのBMU(Battery Management Unit)を含む。蓄電池50A~50Cは、双方向DC/DCコンバータ23A~23Cを介して直流バス10にそれぞれ接続されており、自然エネルギー発電装置30の発電電力が負荷機器40によって消費される電力(負荷電力)よりも大きい場合には発電電力の余剰分を充電し、負荷電力が発電電力よりも大きい場合には放電して負荷電力の不足分を補充する。蓄電池50A~50Cは実質同一の最大容量及び充放電性能を有する。蓄電池50のBMUは、ON/OFF指令受信機能、直流バス電圧調整指令受信機能、充放電電流量調整指令受信機能、蓄電池情報送信機能等を有しており、電力管理装置60と通信可能に構成されている。各蓄電池50A~50Cの充電率を示すSOC(State Of Charge:残容量(Ah)/満充電容量(Ah)×100)は電力管理装置60に適宜通知される。
ノード2は、ディーゼル発電機35をさらに備えていてもよい。自然エネルギー発電装置30の発電電力が小さい場合にディーゼル発電機35を動作させることにより、発電電力量を強制的に増加させることができる。したがって、負荷電力の抑制や停電を回避することができ、負荷機器40に対して電力を安定的に供給することが可能である。また、直流バス10を含むシステム全体をスタートアップする際の電力源としてディーゼル発電機35を使用することができる。一般的にディーゼル発電機35はAC出力であるため、ディーゼル発電機35はAC/DCコンバータ24を介して直流バス10に接続される。
電力管理装置60はEMS(Energy Management System)を装備するコンピュータシステムである。電力管理装置60はDC/DCコンバータ21~23の入出力動作を遠隔制御することができ、自然エネルギー発電装置30の発電量や負荷機器40の電力需要を制御することができる。電力管理装置60は、直流バス10の電圧を維持するため、自然エネルギー発電装置30、負荷機器40、蓄電池50に指令すると共に、これらの機器から情報を収集する。これらの機器への指令及び情報の収集は、RS-232C、RS-485、CAN(Controller Area Network)、Ethrnet、Wi-Fiなどの通信方式を用いて行われる。
図3は、電力管理装置60の構成を概略的に示すブロック図である。
図3に示すように、本実施形態による電力管理装置60は、上述したEMSとして機能する電力管理部61と、通信ネットワーク70を介して管理者端末71等と通信する通信部62と、周囲に存在する他のノードの稼働状態を監視するノード監視部63とを備えている。
ノード監視部63は、自身の稼働状態を知らせるためのビーコンを送信するビーコン送信部64と、他のノードからのビーコンを受信するビーコン受信部65と、少なくともノードの監視対象リスト及びビーコンの受信履歴を管理するノードデータベース66と、ノードデータベース66に基づいて監視対象ノードの稼働状態を管理するノード管理部67と、ノード管理部67からの指示を受けて警報メールを出力する警報出力部68とを備えている。
ビーコン送信部64は、一意の識別子を含むビーコンを定期的にブロードキャストする。ビーコンは例えばBLE(Bluetooth Low Energy(Bluetoothは登録商標))のアドバタイズパケットと呼ばれる無線信号である。ビーコンの通信方式は2.4GHzの周波数帯を使用する近距離無線通信方式に限定されず、無線LAN規格(IEEE802.11)に従った通信方式であってもよく、その他の特別な通信方式であってもよい。
ビーコンの送信には一方向通信を用いることが好ましい。分散型直流給電システムではノードの待機電力をできるだけ小さくする必要があり、ノードの相互監視を双方向通信により実施する場合、消費電力の増加の懸念がある。しかし、ノードの相互監視のための通信方式として一方向通信を採用することで、双方向通信に比べて消費電力を抑えることができる。
ビーコンは無線信号であることが好ましい。例えばDCグリッドを伝送媒体とする有線通信において、自然エネルギー発電装置30及び蓄電池50の出力低下により直流バス10の電圧レベルが大きく低下してシステムダウンが発生した場合には、たとえ電力管理装置60が正常であったとしてもビーコンを送信することができなくなる。しかし、無線通信であればその電源さえ確保されていれば直流バスがダウンしてもビーコンの送信が可能である。また、DCグリッドを伝送媒体とする場合にはその信号伝送品質に配慮する必要があるが、無線であれば伝送媒体に対する特別な配慮は不要である。そのため、ノード監視機能をDCグリッドから切り離して取り扱うことができ、システムの拡張性を向上させることができる。
ビーコンには蓄電池50の充電率、自然エネルギー発電装置30の発電量等のノード内のエネルギーマネージメントに関する情報が含まれていてもよい。例えば、あるノードが充電率の低下を知らせるビーコンを送信し、周囲のノードがこれを受信した時、一方のノードが蓄電池を含むシステム全体を充電モードにし、他方のノードが蓄電池を含むシステム全体を放電モードにする。これにより、一方のノードから他方のノードへ電力を供給することができ、ノード間で電力を融通し合う際のトリガ信号としてビーコンを利用することができる。
ビーコン受信部65は、他のノードの電力管理装置60が送信したビーコンを常時監視して受信する。ビーコン受信部65は、受信したビーコンに含まれる識別子等の情報をノード管理部67に提供する。
ノード管理部67は、ビーコンに含まれる識別子が監視対象リストに登録されているか否か、すなわちビーコンを送信してきたノードが監視対象か否かを判断する。そして、ビーコンに含まれる識別子が監視対象リストに登録されている場合には、ノードデータベース66に当該ノードビーコンの受信日時を記録する。一方、ビーコンに含まれる識別子が監視対象リストに登録されていない場合には、識別子を含むビーコンを規定時間内に規定回数受信したことを契機に当該識別子を監視対象リストに追加する。
ノード管理部67は、ノードデータベース66を参照して、一定期間ビーコンを受信していない監視対象ノードを特定する。ノードが異常か否かの判断基準は特に限定されず、定期的(例えば1分に1回)にブロードキャストされるビーコンを規定時間内(例えば1分以内)に1回も受信しなかったことを契機にノードの異常と判断してもよく、あるいはビーコンを複数回受信可能な期間内(例えば5分以内)に複数回連続して受信しなかったことを契機にノードの異常と判断してもよい。各ノードからのビーコンの受信待ち時間は少なくともビーコンの送信周期よりも長い任意の時間に設定される。
監視対象のノードからのビーコンを規定時間内に規定回数受信することができなかった場合、ノード管理部67は警報出力部68に警報を出力するように指示し、そのような指令を受けた警報出力部68は、通信ネットワーク70経由で管理者端末71に警報メールを出力する。警報メールは、異常と判断されたノードが送信するビーコンに含まれる識別子を含むことが好ましい。
図4(a)~(c)は、複数のノード間の相互監視動作について説明するための図である。
図4(a)に示すように、3つのノード2A,2B,2Cは自身の存在を周囲に知らせるためビーコンをブロードキャストしている。ここでノード2Aはノード2Bとの通信圏内に存在するので、ノード2Bからのビーコンを受信することができるが、通信圏外に存在するノード2Cからのビーコンを受信することはできない。同様に、ノード2Cはノード2Bとの通信圏内に存在するので、ノード2Bからのビーコンを受信することができるが、通信圏外に存在するノード2Aからのビーコンを受信することはできない。ノード2Bは、通信圏内に存在するノード2A,2Cの両方のビーコンを受信することができる。例えばBLEの場合、通信距離は10m前後である。
ノード2A~2Cは、他のノードからのビーコンを規定時間内に規定回数受信したとき、当該ノードを監視対象リストに加える。例えばノード2Bが新規に設置された場合、ノード2A,2Cはノード2Bからのビーコンを受信することになるので、ノード2Bからのビーコンを規定時間内に規定回数受信したことを契機にしてノード2Bを監視対象リストに加える。ノード2Bにおいては、ノード2A,2Cの両方が監視対象リストに加えられる。
ノード2A~2Cは、ノード全体を制御する電力管理装置60が正常に動作している場合には、ビーコンを定期的に送信し続けることができる。したがって、ビーコンを受信した他のノードは監視対象のノードが正常に稼働していると判断することができる。
図4(b)に示すように、例えばノード2Aとノード2Bとの間でビーコンを定期的に送信し合っている場合、ノード2Bからのビーコンを受信したノード2Aはノード2Bが正常であると判断し、またノード2Aからのビーコンを受信したノード2Bはノード2Aが正常であると判断するので、ノード2A,2B間の相互監視を実現することができる。図示しないが、ノード2Bとノード2Cとの間でも同様の相互監視が行われる。
これに対し、図4(c)に示すように、ノード2Aの電力管理装置60が正常に動作しておらず、ビーコンを送信することができない場合には、ノード2Bはノード2Aからのビーコンを受信することができない。このように監視対象のノード2Aからのビーコンが途絶えた状態が一定期間続いた場合、ノード2Bはノード2Aが正常に動作していないと判断してその旨の警報メールを出力する。警報メールはいわゆるインターネットメールのプロトコルに限定されず、専用のメッセージプロトコルであってもよい。こうして管理者端末71経由で警報メールを受信した管理者は、ノード2Aの故障の原因の究明と復旧作業に直ちに取り掛かることができる。
ビーコンに付与されたノードのステータス情報(蓄電池の充電率や発電量、負荷量)から発電量及び蓄電池残量の低下によるバスダウンと判断できる場合、或いは、発電量及び蓄電池残量の低下によるバスダウン発生間近であることを知らせる特別なフラグがビーコンに含まれている場合に、電力管理装置60は、警報メールの送信を抑制してもよい。発電量及び蓄電池残量の低下による直流バスのダウンの場合、翌日になって発電量が増えたときにシステムが復旧するため、電力管理装置60自らの故障の場合のみ警報メールを出力したい場合がある。上記方法によれば、ノードのシステムダウンが単なる電力不足によるものなのか、それとも電力管理装置60の故障等の特別な異常よるものなのかを区別し、電力管理装置60が異常の場合のみ警報メールを出力することが可能である。
ノード2を構成する独立型の直流給電システムでは、自然エネルギー発電装置30の発電量の低下及び蓄電池50の残容量の低下によるシステムダウンがある程度許容されているので、ノード2内のシステム全体を制御する電力管理装置60自体に致命的な故障が発生した場合だけでなく、単なる電力不足によるシステムダウンも発生し得る。本実施形態においては、このような電力不足や電力管理装置60自体の故障によりシステムがダウンしない限り、電源管理装置60がビーコンを送信し、ノード2が正常に動作していることを周囲に知らせるので、ノード2の相互監視を実現することができ、分散型直流給電システムの信頼性を高めることができる。
以上説明したように、本実施形態による分散型直流給電システム1は、直流バス10を介して相互に接続された複数のノード2を有し、各ノード2は、一意の識別子を含むビーコンを定期的に送信し、他のノードから送信されたビーコンに含まれる識別子が監視対象リストに登録されていない場合には監視対象リストに追加し、監視対象リストに登録されている識別子を含むビーコンを規定時間内に規定回数受信しなかった場合に警報を出力するので、専用の監視機器を用いることなく各ノードの異常を素早く確実に検知することができる。
以上、本発明の好ましい実施形態について説明したが、本発明は、上記の実施形態に限定されることなく、本発明の主旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更が可能であり、それらも本発明の範囲内に包含されるものであることはいうまでもない。
例えば、上記実施形態においてはノードの相互監視のための通信方式として一方向通信を例に挙げたが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではなく、双方向通信を用いても構わない。例えば、ノード2Aからノード2Bに無線信号で特定の問い合わせコマンドを送り、ノード2Aがノード2Bからの応答コマンドを受信した場合に、ノード2Bが正常に動作しているものと判断してもよい。
また、図2に示したノード2の構成は一例であって、発電機能及び蓄電機能を有する限りにおいて様々なシステム構成を採用することができる。
また、上記実施形態においては、同一の直流バスに接続された複数のノードが相互に監視し合う構成を例に挙げたが、本発明はそのような場合に限定されず、異なる直流バスに対してそれぞれ別々に接続されている複数のノードが相互に監視し合う構成であってもよい。互いに通信圏内にあり一方のノードが他方のノードからのビーコンを受信できる場合には、同一の直流バス上に存在するか否かによらず相互に監視しあうことが可能である。さらにこの場合、電力融通が必要な時だけ直流バス同士を電気的に接続することも可能である。

Claims (5)
- 発電機能及び蓄電機能を有する複数のノードと、
前記複数のノードが接続される一又は複数の直流バスとを備え、
前記複数のノードの各々は、
一意の識別子を含むビーコンを定期的に送信するビーコン送信部と、
他のノードから送信されたビーコンを受信するビーコン受信部と、
ノードの監視対象リスト及びビーコンの受信履歴を管理するノードデータベースと、
前記監視対象リストに登録されていない識別子を含むビーコンを第1規定時間内に第1規定回数受信したとき当該識別子を監視対象リストに追加するノード管理部と、
前記監視対象リストに登録されている識別子を含むビーコンを第2規定時間内に第2規定回数受信しなかったとき警報を出力する警報出力部とを含むことを特徴とする分散型直流給電システム。 - 前記複数のノードの各々は、
前記直流バスに接続された第1乃至第3DC/DCコンバータと、
前記第1DC/DCコンバータを介して前記直流バスに接続され、発電電力を前記直流バスに供給する自然エネルギー発電装置と、
前記第2DC/DCコンバータを介して前記直流バスに接続され、前記直流バスから負荷電力の供給を受ける負荷機器と、
前記第3DC/DCコンバータを介して前記直流バスに接続され、前記発電電力が前記負荷電力よりも大きい場合に前記発電電力を充電し、前記発電電力が前記負荷電力よりも小さい場合に放電して前記負荷機器に電力を供給する蓄電池と、
前記蓄電池の充放電動作を含むノード全体を管理する電力管理装置とを含み、
前記電力管理装置は、前記ビーコン送信部、前記ビーコン受信部、前記ノード管理部及び前記警報出力部とを含む、請求項1に記載の分散型直流給電システム。 - 前記ビーコンは、前記蓄電池の充電率及び前記自然エネルギー発電装置の発電量の少なくとも一方に関する情報をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の分散型直流給電システム。
- 前記ビーコンは、一方向通信の無線信号である、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の分散型直流給電システム。
- 前記ビーコンは、双方向通信の信号である、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の分散型直流給電システム。
