Description

A CABLE HOLDER SUITABLE FOR USE IN HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES
The present invention relates to a card holder which is suitable for use in household appliances.
Electrical energy is transmitted to the household appliances by means of cables. In addition to the main cable with one end connected to the plug and which supplies electrical energy to the household appliance, there are a number of cables on the household appliance. Connecting the cables correctly provides the proper operation of the household appliance. However, the cable connections on the household appliance becomes complicated in the course of time. Therefore, various problems occur during the assembly or use. The cables mostly get stuck, thus losing the ability to function. Moreover, the large number of cables cause mounting problems. Problems such as connecting the wrong end of the cables or to wrong places during the assembly may occur. Even if the cables are properly connected, the process causes loss in time and labor during the assembly.
Particularly, the toroid coils are subjected to EMC tests and are formed with different number of windings depending on the performance thereof in said tests. For example, the cables wound ten times in a coil with a declared power of 5200W may be wound 15 times in a 7600W oven in order to pass the EMC test. Since the coils having the number of windings determined at the design phase vary from product to product, the number of windings may change during the production.
In the state of the art, especially in the energy cables, mass of cables is formed. Hardware components and mass of cables together create a very complicated appearance such that detecting a possible problem takes a very long time. Moreover, products which comprise coils wound before the EMC test and which pass the test may fail to pass the EMC test due to wrong operations during the assembly. Due to difference in assembly, the number of windings and positions of the coils may vary. Therefore, problems may occur while the household appliances are put to the EMC tests at the customs. Moreover, the free-standing toroid coils may contact live terminals or the product safety may be put in jeopardy due to the damaged coils. In the present production process, the cable holder is mounted at the places where the heat transfer is dense or at the places where there are mass of cables. Sometimes, the coil is squeezed between the electronic card and the casing due to the size of the electronic card or the limited space. This adversely affects the performance in the EMC tests and the production processes.
In the state of the art, the problem occurring in the household appliances is that the mounting of the cable holder and the power cables is a complicated process which takes a long time.
In the state of the art United States Patent No. US6444903, a holder is disclosed, whereon the cables are placed, which is composed of two openable/closable covers and which changes the direction of the cables.
Another state of the art embodiment is explained in the German Utility Model Document Application No. DE202006016014. The cooking device disclosed in this document comprises a cable holder.
The present invention relates to a cable holder which is suitable for use in household appliances.
The cable holder realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, which is suitable for use in household appliances, comprises a base which is seated onto the electronic card; a foot which extends in the vertical plane on the base; two arms which are connected to the end of the foot and which oppositely extend parallel to each other; and a carrier which is detachably mounted in between the arms.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the cable holder is fixed onto the electronic card by the producer by being seated from the base thereof. The distance between the arms is increased by stretching the same, thus the carrier is mounted onto the cable holder. By means of the flexible structure of the arms, the carrier can be easily detached from the cable holder, and changing the number of windings and similar services can be carried out. By creating, so to speak, the "push/pull" mechanism by means of the arms, the cable holder is enabled to be used efficiently.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the carrier is ring-shaped. The carrier is placed between the arms in an upright manner and extends in the same direction as the foot.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the arm is U-shaped and comprises a first abutment which is connected to the foot and which extends in the horizontal axis, a second abutment which extends perpendicularly to the first abutment, and a third abutment which is connected to the second abutment and which extends parallel to the first abutment. When the two arms are oppositely placed, an almost rectangular gap is formed therebetween, and the carrier is placed into said gap. The outer wall of the carrier bears against the first abutments while the third abutments bear against the inner wall of the carrier, and thus the arms support the carrier from inside and outside, and the carrier is enabled to be held and supported by the cable holder in a balanced and efficient manner.
By means of the present invention, the cable holder is enabled to be fixed to the electronic card while the carrier is enabled to be detachably mounted. By means of the arms, the carrier is enabled to be easily mounted to the cable holder in a locked manner, and by means of the flexible arms, the carrier can be easily detached from the cable holder. Moreover, by means of the easy mounting of the cable holder, saving in time is provided, ensuring compatibility with the EMC tests and enabling the cable holder to be easily mounted to almost all electronic cards. Furthermore, by means of the cable holder, cable costs are decreased.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cable holder is suitable for use in cooking devices.
A cable holder realized in order to attain the aim the object of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
Figure 1 - is the front view of a cable holder.
Figure 2 - is the sideways view of a cable holder.
The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
  1. Cable holder
  2. Carrier
  3. Base
  4. Foot
  5. Arm
  6. First abutment
  7. Second abutment
  8. Third abutment
The cable holder (1) of the present invention, which is suitable for use in household appliances, comprises a base (3) which is seated onto the electronic card; a foot (4) which extends in the vertical plane on the base (3); two arms (5) which are connected to the end of the foot (4) and which oppositely extend parallel to each other; and a carrier (2) which is detachably mounted in between the arms (5). By detachably mounting the carrier (2) onto the foot (4) fixed to the electronic card, the coil and the cables wound around the carrier (2) are enabled to be serviced immediately. Thus, the number of windings can be easily changed, and the mass of cables on the control panel of the household appliance are enabled to be kept in an ordered manner. Moreover, suitable values for the EMC tests are obtained and the number of coil windings can be easily changed depending on said tests (Figure 1).
In the embodiment of the present invention, the cable holder (1) is fixed onto the electronic card by the producer by being seated from the base (3) thereof. The distance between the arms (5) is increased by stretching the arms (5), thus the carrier (2) is mounted onto the cable holder (1). When released after the carrier (2) is placed between the arms (5), the arms (5) move close to each other and the carrier (2) is squeezed between the arms (5). By means of the flexible structure of the arms (5), the carrier (2) can be easily detached from the cable holder (1), and changing the number of windings and similar services can be carried out. By creating, so to speak, a "push/pull" mechanism by means of the arms (5), the cable holder (1) is enabled to be used efficiently.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the carrier (2) is in the form of a ring. The carrier (2) is placed between the arms (5) in an upright manner and extends in the same direction as the foot (4).
In another embodiment of the present invention, the arm (5) is U-shaped and comprises a first abutment (6) which is connected to the foot (4) and which extends in the horizontal axis, a second abutment (7) which extends perpendicularly to the first abutment (6), and a third abutment (8) which is connected to the second abutment (7) and which extends parallel to the first abutment (6). When the two arms (5) are oppositely placed onto the foot (4), the first abutments (6) form the base (3). When the two arms (5) are oppositely placed, the edge of the carrier (2) is passed through the opening between the third abutments (8) and the carrier (2) is placed in an upright manner in the almost quadrilateral gap between the arms (5). The outer wall of the carrier (2) bears against the first abutments (6) while the third abutments (8) bear against the inner wall of the carrier (2), and thus the arms (5) support the carrier (2) from inside and outside, and the carrier (2) is enabled to be held and supported by the cable (1) holder in a balanced and efficient manner (Figure 2).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the length of the foot (4) can be selected as short or long, thus enabling the cable holder (1) to efficiently function according to the length of the cable. Thus, the cable holder (1) can be used with every electronic card.
By means of the present invention, the cable holder (1) is enabled to be easily fixed to the electronic card while the carrier (2) is enabled to be detachably mounted. By means of the arms (5), the carrier (2) is enabled to be easily mounted to the cable holder (1) in a locked manner, and by means of the flexible arms (5), the carrier (2) can be easily detached from the cable holder (1). Moreover, by means of the present invention, it becomes possible to detach the coils with different numbers of windings from the electronic card to change the number of windings and then to attach the same onto the electronic card again.
