Description
INTERLOCKING BLOCK AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF A WALL BUILT FROM THESE BLOCK
Related technical fields
The invention relates to blocks for construction and a constructing method to build walls made of these blocks.
Technical status relates to the invention
Materials of a masonry wall
Currently, there are various kinds of bricks with diverse types of materials and sizes being used. However, due to most of the traditional method of building a wall that has an external protective mortar layer, so bricks play a role as an internal structure of the wall, and its outside covers by a plastering mortar layer.
Regarding binding mortar and finishing mortar, in the traditional wall-building method, these mortars are mixed on construction sites; their quality is completely depended on the material-delivering-mixing stages of workers. Constructing method
Most of the current masonry walls are conducted following the traditional wall building method, which consists of two stages: binding bricks and finishing. The quality of masonry walls is highly dependent on the skills of masons and the quality of walls made by different workers is different, it could not be standardized the homogeneity of wall's quality due to its dependence on vary of workmanship of each construction worker’s group.
Time and complete schedule of delivering walls for the next stage (puttying, painting...).
It is being along with waiting for the mortar to reach the standard strength, usually according to the curing time of cement (usually after 20 days). After that, it takes time for drying walls so workers can perform the next steps such as puttying and painting. The length of this period depends heavily on the climatic conditions at the location of construction site. Thus, the period from starting to build a brick wall
then waiting of wall drying for putting into the puttying and painting stage is long (if it does not rainy for few days, this period is certainly not less than 20 days).
The conduct cost:
The main costs to construct a traditional brick wall include:
Material costs: costs of bricks, cement, sand...
Labor costs: cost of auxiliary labor, labor for binding, labor for plastering...
With a characteristic that complete quality of brick wall depends mainly on technical skills of labors, so the waste of materials compared to the planned regulation and the quality of the completed wall also lays on the payment for construction workers. In addition, during the construction phase, dust and dirt from the site often cause environmental pollution around.
Technical nature of the invention
The purpose of the present invention is to propose an interlocking block type and a constructing method (interlocking) to build walls made of these blocks, to overcome the disadvantages of the above-mentioned technical solutions.
To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the invention includes:
The interlocking blocks are rectangular in shape, respective width, length, and height are (A) (B) (C), the ratio of the length and width dimensions is (B) = 2 (A), the proposed dimension of width (A) is 10 cm £ (A) £ 50 cm. In which, the block surface had the width (A) and height (C) has a ledge (1) located at the outer edge and concave surface (2) is behind two ledges (1), convex ledge (1) and concave surface (2) creates an indentation into this surface of the block, the indentation is in the center of this block surface with the shape of a half truncated block whose bottom is a rectangle and its vertex (taper) is downwards. The rectangle at the bottom of this half truncated block is 2(1 a) in wide and (2a) in length, the dimensions of this half truncated block are suggested with the bottom rectangle of length 1/4 (A) £ 2a < 5/6 (A) and width 1/4 (A) £ 2 (la) £ 5/6 (A), tapering angle (i) of the half truncated block has parameter lo < (i) £ 30o. At the surface above the block has the width (A) and the length (B), that is a flat surface (3) with holes shaped as a prismatic block (4) and voids shaped like a truncated hole (5) tapering
downwards, the hole (5) centered at this surface of the block, the hollow (5) shaped like a truncated block the size of the hole (5) is created so that this is the lower half of a hollow shaped like a truncated shape with its top tapering downwards, the size of the upper half of this truncated shape is equal to the size of the truncated block which made up of two halves of the truncated block formed by ledge (1) and concave surface (2).
The construction method of a wall made by the above-mentioned blocks is presented by assembling closely the (A) width surface of the first block to the (A) width surface of the second block continuously to create a row of wall, an above row of the just built row is made by a similarly connected method but deviated from the row below by which the connecting position of the (A) width surface of the two blocks of the upper row is straight to a hole (5) of a block in the below row. At this position due to the structural characteristics of the blocks as described above, the joining of the blocks will form a hollow shaped like a truncated - hollow block with a conical top tapering downwards, at this position a pin (6) in truncated shape will be installed to fix the blocks. Depending on the size of the width of the block, we will have walls of different thickness according to the need of use, with this form of opening position pins also allows changing the length of the wall to fit the actual construction work at the site. The above locking pins act as position pins of blocks in the wall, to connect and completely solidify the wall after installing the position pins, pour the specialized glue aqueous solution at holes to bond blocks and pins (if blocks and pins are made of cement and crushed stone, diluted cement water is used to bond these pins and blocks).

In which the block surface has the width (A) and height (C) has a ledge (1) located at the outer edge and concave surface (2) is behind two ledges (1), convex ledge (1) and concave surface (2) creates an indentation into this surface of the block, the indentation is in the center of this block surface with the shape of a half truncated block whose bottom is a rectangle and its vertex (taper) is downwards. The rectangle at the bottom of this half truncated block is2 (la) in wide and (2a) in length, the dimensions of this half truncated block are suggested with the bottom rectangle of length 1/4 (A) £ 2a £ 5/6 (A) and width 1/4 (A) £ 2 (la) £ 5/6 (A), tapering angle (i) of the half truncated block has parameter lo £ (i) £ 30o. At the surface above the block has the width (A) and the length (B), that is a flat surface (3) with holes shaped as a prismatic block (4) and voids shaped like a truncated hole (5) tapering downwards, the hole (5) centered at this surface of the block, the hollow (5) shaped like a truncated block, the size of the hole (5) is created so that this is the lower half of a hollow shaped like a truncated shape with its top tapering downwards, the size of the upper half of this truncated shape is equal to the size of the truncated block which made up of two halves of the truncated block formed by ledge (1) and concave surface (2).
As shown in Figure 5, the blocks are bonded by assembling closely the (A) width surface of the first block to the (A) width surface of the second block continuously to create a row of wall, an above row of the just built row is made by a similarly connected method but deviated from the row below by which the connecting position of the (A) width surface of the two blocks of the upper row is straight to a hole (5) of a block in the below row. At this position due to the structural characteristics of the blocks as described above, the joining of the blocks will form a hollow shaped like a truncated - hollow block with a conical top tapering
downwards, at this position a pin (6) in truncated shape will be installed to fix the blocks.
