Abstract
L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) de fabrication d'une pièce (100) en matière métallique, comprenant un organe de dépôt (2) de ladite matière métallique. Le dispositif (1)comprend en outre un organe de choc (4) de la matière en cours de dépôt par émission d'un faisceau énergétique (5), de sorte à modifier localement sa structure cristalline.
Description
DISPOSITIF DE FABRICATION
DOMAINE DE L'INVENTION ET ETAT DE LA TECHNIQUE
L'invention se rapporte au domaine de la fabrication de pièces en alliage base titane.
L’invention s’applique plus particulièrement, mais non exclusivement à la fabrication d’un carter en alliage de titane comprenant par exemple une portion d’accrochage ou une portion d’étanchéité s’étendant radialement vers l’intérieur dudit carter.
Pour fabriquer un carter en alliage base titane d’un seul tenant, on doit généralement, former la portion principale annulaire et les portions secondaires dans le même matériau. En outre il est souvent difficile de travailler par fonderie les carters de grandes dimensions en alliage base titane. Il existe donc un besoin pour un dispositif et un procédé de fabrication, permettant de fabriquer aisément, de manière peu coûteuse, des pièces de grande dimension. Une solution connue consiste à réaliser un apport de métal avec un dispositif de fabrication additive par dépôt de matière de type Déposition Directe de Métal (DMD). La fabrication additive permet de réaliser, d’un seul tenant, des pièces de grandes dimensions présentant des formes complexes. Cependant cette méthode entraîne la génération de microstructures colonnaires, non acceptables pour des pièces sollicitées mécaniquement. En sus, cette méthode génère des contraintes résiduelles dans la pièce qui peuvent conduire à une rupture de celle-ci lors de la fabrication.
En conséquence, il serait souhaitable d’avoir une solution permettant de fabriquer, par dépôt de matière, une pièce présentant une meilleure structure cristalline.
PRESENTATION GENERALE DE L’INVENTION
Dans ce contexte, la présente invention a pour objectif de fournir un dispositif de fabrication permettant de déposer de la matière pour fabriquer des pièces présentant de meilleures propriétés cristallines diminuant les contraintes résiduelles dans la pièce fabriquée.
Selon un premier aspect, l’invention concerne un dispositif de fabrication d’une pièce en matière métallique, comprenant un organe de dépôt de ladite matière métallique. Le dispositif comprend en outre un organe de choc de la matière en cours de dépôt par émission d’un faisceau énergétique, de sorte à modifier localement sa structure cristalline.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE DE L'INVENTION
Dispositif de fabrication
Selon un premier aspect, l’invention concerne un dispositif 1 de fabrication d’une pièce 100 en alliage base titane.
Le dispositif 1 de fabrication comprend essentiellement un organe de dépôt 2 d’un cordon 101 de métal fondu (pour former la pièce 100) et au moins un organe de choc 4 émettant un faisceau énergétique 5.
Organe de dépôt
Typiquement, l’organe de dépôt 2 est un organe de dépôt connu du type DMD.
Ainsi, l’organe de dépôt 2 peut comprendre une tête de dépôt 21 émettant un faisceau énergétique (par exemple un faisceau d’électron ou un laser) qui rencontre un fil de métal ou un flux de poudre métallique issu d’une réserve de matière 22. Le faisceau de la tête de dépôt 21 est focalisé afin de faire fondre le métal. La tête de dépôt 21 permet de déposer le métal fondu sous forme de cordons 101. Préférentiellement, le métal déposé peut être un alliage base titane, typiquement un alliage du type TA6V.
Selon le mode de réalisation ici présenté, la tête de dépôt 21 est alimentée par une première source électrique 8a.
Organe de choc
L’organe de choc 4 est une disposition particulièrement avantageuse de l’invention. Selon le mode de réalisation ici présenté, l’organe de choc 4 est un laser. Cependant, selon d’autre mode de réalisation. D’une manière générale et tel que cela sera précisé ci-après, l’organe de choc 4 est adapté pour focaliser le faisceau énergétique 5 sur le cordon 101 de matière venant d’être déposé, pour modifier la structure cristalline de la pièce 100 en métal, en particulier en une structure sensiblement équiaxe. Comme cela sera précisé, ci -après, l’organe de choc permet d’écrouir localement la matière et de propager une onde mécanique dans la pièce. Tel que cela sera détaillé ci-après, ladite onde mécanique permet de détendre la matière (i. e. en modifier la structure cristalline), pour supprimer d’éventuelles contraintes résiduelles.
D’une manière préférée, l’organe de choc 4 est un laser pulsé de type nanoseconde, adapté pour émettre des impulsions sur une durée de 5 à 150 nanosecondes. D’une manière particulièrement préférée, le laser émet des impulsions d’une durée de 10 à 100 nanosecondes. Par ailleurs, le faisceau laser présente préférentiellement une énergie comprise entre 5 et 15 Joules, et particulièrement préférentiellement entre 9 et 1 1 Joules. Tel que cela sera décrit ci- après, l’organe de choc 4 est positionné de sorte à pouvoir focaliser le faisceau énergétique 5 sur un cordon 101 précédemment déposé par l’organe de dépôt 2.
De plus, le laser possédera une fréquence comprise entre 5Hz et 15Hz, et préférentiellement entre 9 et 1 1 Hz.
Selon le mode de réalisation ici présenté, l’organe de choc 4 est alimenté par une deuxième source électrique 8b.
Il est précisé que le dispositif 1 pourrait être alimenté par une unique source électrique. L’utilisation de deux sources distinctes permet de répondre au mieux aux appels de puissance du laser de l’organe de choc 4.
Asservissement
L’organe de dépôt 2 et l’organe de choc 4 sont asservis et synchronisés. En effet, tel que cela sera décrit ci-après, il est nécessaire que l’organe de choc 4 focalise le faisceau énergétique 5 sur le cordon 101 de matière récemment déposé et à une température définie (qui sera précisée ultérieurement). En conséquence, l’organe de dépôt 2 et l’organe de choc 4 peuvent être fixés à un même bras de robot. Il est aussi possible que l’organe de dépôt 2 et l’organe de choc 4 soient chacun fixés sur un bras de robot distinct. Cette disposition offre une plus grande liberté dans les générations de trajectoire. Dans ce cas, les deux bras doivent être asservis et pilotés en correspondance.
En outre, le dispositif 1 peut comprendre un asservissement en température comprenant une caméra couplée à un pyromètre. Ainsi, il est possible de contrôler en
permanence la température du dispositif 1 et plus particulièrement, la température des cordons 101.
Dans l’exemple ici présenté, dans le cas d’un dépôt d’un alliage base titane de type TA6V,il est intéressant de bloquer la croissance des grains avant le changement de phase du matériau vers 800°C. En conséquence, le choc doit être effectué juste après la solidification et avant que la microstructure ne soit formée. D’une manière particulièrement avantageuse, l’utilisation d’un laser comme organe de choc 4 permet de réaliser les chocs en cours de refroidissement de 1600 °C à 800 °C ce qui maximise l’effet sur la microstructure. Pour rappel le choc permet de mettre une contrainte dans une direction ce qui permet d’empêcher la croissance de grains dans cette même direction. On obtient donc une microstructure équiaxe, donc isotrope, qui possède de meilleures propriétés mécaniques.
Afin de synchroniser le choc laser avec le déplacement de l’organe de dépôt 2, il faut maîtriser la distance entre le bain liquide généré par l’organe de dépôt 2 et la zone de choc. Cette distance doit être suffisamment faible pour garder une température élevée (par exemple supérieure à 800°C) mais suffisamment grande pour ne pas perturber le dépôt (par exemple inférieure à 1600°C). En estimant le gradient de refroidissement du cordon déposé et la vitesse d'avance de l’organe de dépôt 2, cette distance doit être comprise entre 5mm-50mm. Les nombreux paramètres et variabilités propres aux différents procédés de dépôt ne permettent pas d'imposer simplement cette distance. Afin de contrôler celle-ci, comme indiqué précédemment, un asservissement en température est réalisé.
Pour se faire, un pyromètre mesure la température au centre de la zone de choc afin de générer un signal TTL qui permet de piloter le déclenchement du choc laser. Un délai d'attente entre deux impulsions laser est imposé afin de tenir compte du diamètre de la zone de choc.
Ce temps d'attente (toff) est calculé de façon a prendre en compte le taux (pourcentage) de recouvrement (Tau), le diamètre du choc souhaité (D) et la vitesse d'avance (V) de la buse de dépôt donnée par la commande numérique selon la formule toff=(D*(1 -Tau/100))/A. Le pyromètre peut être substitué par une caméra thermique avec un suivi de température par traitement d'image. De la même façon,
un signal est généré en fonction du niveau de valeur de pixel au centre de la zone de choc pour déclencher le tir.
Enceinte close
D’une manière avantageuse, le dispositif 1 peut présenter une enceinte close (non représentée) permettant de fabriquer la pièce 100 dans une atmosphère contrôlée. Un inducteur peut permettre de piloter la température de la pièce. L’inducteur est préférentiellement relié aux dispositifs de contrôles de la température, afin de garantir un pilotage fin de la température.
Procédé de fabrication et fonctionnement du dispositif
Selon un deuxième aspect, l’invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication d’une pièce 100 en alliage de titane, utilisant le dispositif 1.
Essentiellement, le procédé comprend le dépôt de cordons 101 de métal pour former une pièce 100 métal, et la focalisation du faisceau énergétique 5 sur au moins l’un des cordons 101 pour modifier la structure cristalline de la pièce 100 en métal en une structure équiaxe.
Plus précisément, l’organe de dépôt 2 dépose des cordons 101 , selon une trajectoire déterminée, pour fabriquer une pièce 100. Le principe est celui bien connu de la fabrication additive. Ainsi, la pièce 100 est fabriquée couche par couche en déposant successivement des cordons 101 de métal fondu. Parallèlement, l’organe de choc 4 vient focaliser le faisceau 5 sur les cordons 101 pour en modifier la microstructure cristalline et par la même modifier la structure cristalline de l’ensemble de la pièce 100.
Tel que schématisé sur la figure 2, lors de la focalisation d’un faisceau laser sur un cordon 101 déposé sur la pièce 100 en construction, un plasma 103 se forme lors de l’impact de faisceau laser sur la goutte 101. L’énergie dégagée par la formation du plasma génère une onde mécanique 105 qui va à la fois casser les microstructures
métalliques du cordon 101 (pour obtenir in fine une microstructure équiaxe) et écrouir localement la matière. En sus, l’onde mécanique 105, en se propageant dans la pièce 100 en construction va détendre la matière et ainsi supprimer les éventuelles contraintes résiduelles. En d’autres termes, la matière est localement contrainte (écrouissement) mais globalement détendue. Pour une meilleure compréhension, le phénomène en jeu peut être comparé à du forgeage. Ainsi, localement au point d’impact du marteau de forge la matière est écrouie, mais globalement, l’onde de choc de l’impact détend les structures internes de la pièce. Il est précisé qu’il s’agit là uniquement d’une comparaison pour expliquer le procédé selon l’invention. La contrainte locale de chaque cordon 101 est détendue lors du dépôt de couches supérieures de cordons 101 et de la propagation d’ondes mécaniques liées aux impacts lasers sur les cordons 101 des couches supérieures.
Ainsi, d’une manière particulièrement avantageuse, la focalisation d’un faisceau énergétique 5 successivement au dépôt du cordon 101 permet de changer la microstructure de la pièce 100 lors de sa fabrication et ainsi d’éviter la formation de longs grains colonnaires et la génération de contraintes résiduelles.
Il est précisé que le résultat optimal est atteint lorsque le faisceau énergétique 5 est focalisé sur un cordon 101 présentant une température comprise entre 30°C et 200°C, et préférentiellement entre 50°C et 150°C.
Pièce obtenue par le procédé
Selon un troisième aspect, l’invention concerne une pièce 100 directement obtenue par le procédé selon l’invention. Tel que détaillé précédemment, le procédé selon l’invention permet de fabriquer une pièce de grande dimension pouvant présenter une géométrie complexe.
La pièce 100 peut, par exemple, être un carter d’une turbomachine.
Claims
1. Dispositif (1 ) de fabrication d’une pièce (100) en matière métallique, comprenant un organe de dépôt (2) de ladite matière métallique, caractérisé en ce qu’il comprend en outre un organe de choc (4) de la matière en cours de dépôt par émission d’un faisceau énergétique (5), de sorte à modifier localement sa structure cristalline.
2. Dispositif (1 ) selon la revendication 1 dans lequel l’organe de dépôt (2) est configuré pour déposer des cordons (101 ) de métal fondu.
3. Dispositif (1 ) selon la revendication 2 dans lequel l’organe de dépôt (2) est configuré pour déposer des cordons (10) d’un alliage base titane fondu.
4. Dispositif (1 ) selon la revendication 2 dans lequel l’organe de choc (4) est configuré pour focaliser le faisceau énergétique (5) sur au moins l’un des cordons (101 ).
5. Dispositif (1 ) selon l’une des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel l’organe de choc (4) est adapté pour modifier localement la structure cristalline en une structure sensiblement équiaxe.
6. Dispositif (1 ) de fabrication selon l’une des revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel ledit organe de choc (4) est un laser, préférentiellement un laser pulsé présentant une durée d’impulsion comprise entre 5 nanosecondes et 150 nanosecondes.
7. Dispositif (1 ) selon l’une des revendications 1 à 5, comprenant une enceinte close confinant l’organe de dépôt (2) et l’organe de choc (4).
8. Dispositif (1 ) selon la revendication 6, comprenant un inducteur permettant de réguler une température dans l’enceinte close, une caméra couplée à un pyromètre permettant de visualiser la pièce et de mesurer la température avant l’émission du faisceau énergétique (5) par l’organe de choc (4).
9. Procédé de fabrication d’une pièce (100) en alliage base titane, utilisant un dispositif (1 ) selon l’une des revendications 1 à 7, le procédé comprenant la focalisation d’un faisceau énergétique (5) sur de la matière en cours de dépôt, pour modifier localement la structure cristalline de la matière.
10. Procédé selon la revendication 8 comprenant l’écrouissage local de la matière par le faisceau énergétique (5).
11. Procédé selon les revendications 2, 4 et 9 en combinaison dans lequel, au contact dudit cordon (101 ), le laser génère un plasma (103), la génération du plasma (103) dégageant une onde mécanique (105) écrouissant le cordon (101 ) et détensionnant au moins une portion de la pièce (100).
12. Pièce (100) directement obtenue par un procédé selon l’une des revendications 8 à 10.
