Abstract

A kit, which contains a biologically active preparation (3) having the form of a slice or a leaf, said kit further containing an underlying foil (1), which comprises at least one cavity (2), and a covering foil (4), the latter being attached to the underlying foil (1), thereby enclosing the cavity (2) making the same impervious to air and/or to water, at least one slice or leaf of the biologically active preparation (3) being accommodated within the cavity (2).

Description

Kit containing a biologically active preparation
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to a kit that contains a biologically active preparation having the form of a group of slices or leaves.
Background of the invention
The usual mode of application of the known cosmetic preparations, which constitute the prior art concerned, such as those having the form of a liquid or cream, is once or twice daily. A particular disadvantage of the cosmetic preparations having the form of a liquid or a cream consists in that it is difficult to separate and to subsequently transport a smaller amount of such cosmetic preparation in a hygienic manner. When the user has to travel for a few days, he/she has to take with him/her the whole container with the cosmetic preparation. In such a case, the container is both unreasonably bulky and unnecessarily heavy from the viewpoint of the planned consumption of the contained cosmetic preparation. Furthermore, there is a risk associated with the conveyance of creams and liquids, said risk consisting in the possible breakage of the respective packaging or container and in the subsequent spill of the contained cream or liquid inside the respective piece of luggage, resulting in the staining of and/or damage to the other items being transported. In the case of air transportation, users are additionally subject to restrictions related to the safety regulations regarding the amounts of liquids in the cabin luggage.
Furthermore, cosmetically active preparations are known, which have the form of slices or small leaves, said slice or leaves being soluble in a small amount of water. The formulation of a cosmetic preparation is described in the patent application PV2013-822 (or WO/2015/058734). In case that multiple pieces of such preparations are contained in a common packaging, the preparations could become contaminated after having been taken out from the packaging. Moreover, a suitable container should be available for dissolving / stirring the preparation in water / in a solvent.
Summary of the invention
The above mentioned drawbacks of the prior art are largely eliminated by a kit according to the invention, said kit containing a biologically active preparation (3) having the form of a slice or a leaf, wherein the kit further contains an underlying foil (1), which comprises least one cavity (2), and a covering foil (4), the latter being attached to the underlying foil (1), thereby enclosing the cavity (2) making the same impervious to air and/or to water, at least one slice or leaf of the biologically active preparation (3) being accommodated within the cavity (2).
According to an advantageous embodiment, the kit contains a group of cavities (2), each of the cavities (2) accommodating at least one slice or leaf of the biologically active preparation (3).
Advantageously, the underlying foil (1) is transparent at least in the area of the cavity / cavities (2) and/or contains at least one material selected from the group comprising polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, films made of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), or multilayer materials, preferably polypropylene in combination with aluminium.
According to another advantageous embodiment of the kit according to the invention, the volume of the cavity / volumes of the cavities (2) ranges / range between 1.5 and 4 mL.
Advantageously, the covering foil (4) contains a material selected from the group comprising aluminium foils, non-woven polyethylene textile (Tyvek) or glued paper, the covering foil being detachable from the underlying foil (1).
According to yet another preferred embodiment of the invention, the biologically active preparation (3) has the total weight between 3 and 20 mg and/or the basis weight between 1 and 50 g/m2, preferably between 4 and 20 g/m2.
Preferably, the structure of the slice or leaf of the biologically active preparation (3), which forms a part of the kit according to the invention, comprises nanofibres containing hyaluronic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
Preferably, the biologically active preparation (3) is a cosmetically active preparation, said preparation comprising nanofibres containing hyaluronic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, the proportion of the latter acid or salt ranging between 50 and 90 % w/w and the molecular weight of the same ranging between 1 x 104 and 3 x 105 g/mol, along with at least one carrying polymer selected from the group comprising polyethylene oxide and polyvinyl alcohol. The preparation of the cosmetically active preparation is described in PV2013-822 (or WO/2015/058734) that is included here by this reference. The content of the carrying polymer is in the range of 5 to 49 wt.% in the dry matter of the nanofibers. Molecular weight of the carrying polymer is in the range of lxlO4 to 3 x 105 g/mol.
According to still another preferred embodiment of the invention, the cosmetically active preparation contains at least one cosmetically active substance selected from the group comprising
- water-soluble peptides, preferably those selected from the group comprising acetyl hexapeptide-8, sh-hexapeptide-1 (GSPAGS; trade name Cellcon), whey protein or soy protein, - water-soluble polysaccharides, preferably those selected from the group comprising schizophyllan, sodium carboxymethyl beta-glucan, sodium caproyl hyaluronate or glucomannan,
- water-soluble plant extracts, preferably those selected from the group comprising the extract from the above-ground parts of Epilobium angustifolium, the extract from green seeds of Coffea arabica, the extract from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis, the extract from the root of Panax Ginseng, the extract from Aloe Barbadensis, the plankton extract, the extract from Aloe Vera, the extract from Witch-hazel, the extract from Symphytum;
- water-soluble polyols, preferably those selected from the group comprising polypropylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerol;
- water-soluble vitamins, preferably those selected from the group comprising D- panthenol, an ethyl-ester of ascorbic acid, vitamin C;
- micrococcus lysate, creatin, 1 -methylhydantoin-2-imide, sodium lactate, the glycine sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid, fructose, urea, niacinamide, inositol, sodium benzoate, lactic acid, vita in E, coenzyme Q10, ceramides, vitamin A, and collagen;
- vegetable oils, preferably argan oil, macadamia oil, almond oil.
The content of the cosmetically active substance in the dry matter of the nanofibers is in the range of 0,001 to 45 wt.% in the dry matter of the nanofibers.
The cavity (2) or at least some of the cavities (2) of the kit containing a biologically, preferably cosmetically, active preparation according to the invention is / are provided with a score line, mark or step for marking out the optimum level of the liquid for dissolving the biologically active preparation (3).
The kit containing a cosmetically active preparation according to the invention comprises at least one pair of cavities (2), the first cavity (2) of said pair accommodating at least one slice or leaf of a water-soluble cosmetically active preparation (3) containing at least one active substance selected from the group comprising vitamin C, vitamin E, D-panthenol, glycerol, urea, and coenzyme Q10 and the second cavity (2) of said pair accommodating at least one slice or leaf of a cosmetically active preparation (3) containing at least one active substance selected from the group comprising vegetable oils, preferably argan oil, macadamia oil or almond oil, and plant extracts, preferably the extract from Aloe Vera, the extract from Witch- hazel, the extract from Symphytum, along with ceramides, vitamin A and collagen. The cosmetically active preparation, which is accommodated in the first cavity (2) of said pair of cavities, is intended for daytime applications. The cosmetically active preparation, which is accommodated in the second cavity (2) of said pair of cavities, is intended for night-time applications.
A significant advantage consists in that the biologically active preparation can be kept in the dry form within the kit according to the invention. This is due to the fact that the stability of most of the active substances contained therein is substantially higher when compared to the preparations which have to be kept in the liquid form for a prolonged period of time. The biologically active preparation according to the present invention can be converted into the form of a gel, solution or emulsion inside the respective cavity (2) not sooner than immediately prior to the application. Cavity (2) of the kit according to the invention is intended for not only a storage of the biologically active preparation in the dry state but also for the preparation of the application form of the preparation, thus a gel, solution or emulsion forms.
Preferably, the proportion of the water-soluble part of the biologically active preparation, which is contained in the kit according to the invention, corresponds to at least 80 % w/w, preferably 100 % w/w.
Herein, the percentage by weight is related to the total weight of the biologically active preparation. The biologically active preparation is meant to be a preparation which contains active substances exhibiting favourable effects on living organisms or on certain parts of the latter, particularly the cosmetically active preparation as described above.
Explanation of the drawings
The accompanying drawings schematically illustrate an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 1 showing the kit according to the invention in a perspective view, Fig. 2 being a corresponding front elevation view and Fig 3 being a corresponding side view.

Example 2
The exemplary embodiment of the kit according to the invention comprises a transparent plastic underlying foil 1 with a group of cavities 2 (such as those known in connection with so- called blister packs) having the bowl-like shape. According to the present exemplary embodiment, the underlying foil 1 is substantially planar outside the area of the cavities 2. Furthermore, the cavities 2 have the edges of their inlet openings arranged in a single plane.
The underlying foil 1 comprising the group of cavities 2 is made, for example, of PVC, having 0.4 mm in thickness, and additionally covered by a layer of PCTFE (polychlorotrifluoroethylene).
The volume of the individual cavities 2 ranges preferably between 4.5 ml.
On the same side, where the openings of the cavities 2 are arranged, a covering foil 4 is attached to the underlying foil 1, said covering foil being used for sealing the openings of the cavities 2 and, thereby, forming enclosed cavities, the covering foil 4 consisting, of an plastic foil. The covering foil 4 can be joint with the underlying foil 1 by the thermoplastic welding in a manner enabling the covering foil 4 to be removed / peeled off for the purpose of accessing the corresponding cavity 2.
Preferably, the underlying foil 1 and, as the case may be, also the covering foil 4 is provided with thinned regions, such as continuous of discontinuous linear notches 5 for facilitating the mutual detachment of the individual parts of the kit. Such thinned regions can be preferably arranged in a manner that enables just one cavity 2 to be delimited between a pair of thinned regions, thereby making it possible to divide the kit into multiple portions, each portion containing said one cavity 2 without causing the respective cavity 2 to
undesirably open. Moreover, the kit comprises at least one gripping part 6, associated with each cavity 2, where there is no fixed joint between the covering foil 4 and the underlying foil 1, thereby enabling the covering foil 4 to be grasped and torn away from the underlying foil 1 in order to make the inner compartment of the respective cavity 2 accessible.
Inside each of the cavities 2, the dried, water-soluble, cosmetically active preparation 3 is loosely accommodated, said cosmetically active preparation having the form of a leave, wherein the areal weight is 50 g/m2.
In the drawings, the cosmetically active preparation 3 is indicated by the dash line.
The cosmetically active preparation 3 preferably contains nanofibers comprising 90 wt.% sodium hyaluronate having molecular weight 3 x 105 g/mol, polyvilnyl alcohol having the concentration 5 wt.% in the dry matter of nano fibers and the molecular weight 1 x 104 g/mol. Additionally the nanofibers comprise the cosmetically active substances, such as the extract from green seeds of Coffea Arabica having the concentration 0.004 wt%, urea having the concentration 0.5 wt. %, creatin having the concentration 1 wt.%, alantoin having the concentration 0.5 wt. %, glukomanan having the concentration 0.2 wt. %, Aloe Barbadensis having the concentration 1.5 wt. %, ethyl ester of ascorbic acid having the concentration 1.29 wt% and schisophyllan having the concentration 0,0006 wt.%.
Furthermore, the nanofibres can contain an auxiliary substance, preferably carboxymethyl cellulose, and a lipophilic substance, said lipophilic substance being preferably added in its micellar form after having been selected from the group comprising a resin extract from the tree Commiphora Mukul, an extract from the plant Lavadula Stoechas contained in triglycerides of octanoic and decanoic acids, coenzyme Q10, palmitate of ascorbic acid, pyridoxine dipalmitate, tocopheryl acetate, glycyrrhetinic acid, and cholesterol.
The kit according to the invention will be used in that the user removes the covering foil 4 from one of the cavities 2, thereby making the latter accessible, whereupon he/she pours / drips a small amount of water, preferably potable one, into the cavity 2 containing the cosmetically active preparation 3, said small amount of water corresponding to a volume that is less than the overall volume of the respective cavity 2 but, simultaneously, sufficient for enabling the cosmetically active preparation 3 to be adequately dissolved. Subsequently, the content of the cavity 2 is stirred, typically with a finger, and applied onto a spot being cosmetically treated, such the skin around the user’s eyes. Therefore, the cavities 2 can be used not only as a part of the transport and storage packaging item but also as cups for dissolving and stining the cosmetically active preparation 3 immediately prior to the application thereof. Due to the low areal weight of the cosmetically active preparation 3, i.e. due to large wetting area in relation to the total weight of the cosmetically active preparation 3, the dissolution of the latter is very rapid, usually being completed within a period of time between 1 and 10 seconds.
The kit according to the invention is, in a particularly advantageous manner, usable while travelling since the conveyance of usual containers with cosmetic creams and lotions in luggage compartments is often considered to be uncomfortable or unacceptable. In comparison to such conventional containers, the kit according to the invention has a significantly reduced weight, the individual doses being hygienically packed and comprising neither liquid nor creamy / paste-like materials. Thus, no liquid or paste / cream can escape from the kit and cause a damage to the other objects being transported when a damage to the kit placed in a piece of luggage occurs. Moreover, an adequate part of the kit containing a corresponding number of the cavities 2 filled with the cosmetically active preparation 3 can be torn or cut off when shorter journeys are concerned. Water, which is needed for dissolving the cosmetically active preparation 3 immediately prior to the application thereof, is a readily available substance.
Although multiple exemplary, particularly advantageous embodiments are described above, it is obvious that those skilled in the art would easily appreciate further possible alternatives to those embodiments. Hence, the scope of the protection to the above exemplary embodiments and is rather defined by the appended patent claims.
