La présente invention concerne une machine à laver dans laquelle une pompe à chaleur est utilisée pour atteindre des températures plus élevées en utilisant moins d'énergie, ladite pompe à chaleur comprenant un évaporateur disposé à l'intérieur d'un réservoir d'eau, ce qui empêche l'eau qui se trouve dans le réservoir d'eau de geler.
