Description
本申请涉及一种显示技术,特别涉及一种液晶显示面板(liquid crystal display panel)及装置。
在显示面板的尺寸越来越大的情况下,为了提升面板视角表现,现有技术采用3T_8domain(3晶体管8畴)的像素结构,在像素电极上作出狭缝,使同一个子像素内的主(main)区的4个畴与次(sub)区的4个畴的液晶分子的排列方向不一样,以改善大视角色偏的问题。
图1显示现有的3T像素结构的电路示意图。每个子像素分为主区和次区,每个子像素包括三个薄膜晶体管(thin-film transistor),即主区TFT、次区TFT和共享TFT。主区和次区的像素电极具有沿不同方向延伸的狭缝(未图示),使得主区均分为4个畴,次区也均分为4个畴。对应每一行子像素分别设置一条扫描线,对应每一列子像素分别设置一条数据线。主区具有主区电容Ca(包括液晶电容和存储电容),次区具有次区电容Cb(包括液晶电容和存储电容)。每个子像素具有公共电压,即C_Com和A_Com。
图2显示Gamma曲线的偏移程度比较图,其中L1为显示面板的理想Gamma曲线,L2为一般传统的显示面板的Gamma曲线,L3为具备3T像素结构的显示面板的Gamma曲线。可以看出,具备3T像素结构的显示面板可以降低大视角Gamma曲线的偏移程度,改善大视角色偏的问题。
但是,现有的3T像素结构的显示面板中,因8畴的设计,牺牲了一部分穿透率来换取良好的大视角色偏,故次区的亮度较小,因而降低整体显示面板的亮度表现或在一定的亮度表现下需提高功率导致耗电增加的问题。而且每个子像素的主区和分区需要进行分区控制,驱动相对复杂,存在3T工艺较难控制的技术问题。
本申请的目的在于提供一种液晶显示面板及装置,以提升视角表现。
为实现上述目的,本申請一方面提供一种液晶显示面板,包括:

图3显示根据本申请实施例的液晶显示面板3的示意图。如图3所示,液晶显示面板3包括第一基板10、第二基板20及液晶层30。第一基板10与第二基板20相距一段距离。液晶层30配置于第一基板10和第二基板20之间,液晶层30设置有液晶分子。于一实施例中,第一基板10为薄膜晶体管(thin-film transistor,TFT)阵列基板采用的基板,第二基板20为彩膜基板采用的基板,这些基板的材 质可为玻璃、塑胶或它们的组合。
液晶显示面板3并包括具有透明电极的透明导电层,设置于第一基板10和第二基板20中的其中一个基板朝向另一个基板的一侧。透明电极层由例如铟锡氧化物(indium tin oxide,ITO)制成。于一实施例中,如图3所示,所述透明导电层可为具有像素电极的像素电极层11,像素电极层11设置于第一基板10上朝向第二基板20的一侧,所述像素电极用以接收数据电压,使得液晶层30中的液晶分子根据数据电压的大小进行偏转。于另一实施例中,如图3所示,所述透明导电层可为具有公共电极的公共电极层21,公共电极层21设置于第二基板20上朝向第一基板10的一侧,所述公共电极用以提供公共电压。
图4显示根据本申请实施例的对应一个子像素的透明电极的示意图。请同时参阅图3及图4,图4所示的透明电极可由像素电极层11的像素电极来实现,也可由公共电极层21的公共电极来实现。也就是说,本申请的透明电极的结构改良可应用于像素电极和公共电极任一者,即能实现改变液晶分子排列方向,提升面板视角表现的目的。
需特别说明的是,本文中,一个子像素是指对应一个色彩通道的子像素,例如红色子像素、蓝色子像素和绿色子像素。从图4可以看出,相较于现有的3T像素结构具有两个显示区块(即主区和次区),于本申请的一个面向中,像素结构仅为一个显示区块。具体来说,于一较佳实施例中,一个子像素对应一个透明电极,且仅对应设置一个薄膜晶体管。现有技术中每个子像素的主区和分区需要进行分区控制, 本申请的一个面向是每个子像素仅采用一个薄膜晶体管,降低了驱动复杂度。
请参阅图4,一个透明电极对应一个子像素以中央水平线40a和中央垂直线40b为基准分成四个主区域,即R1、R2、R3和R4。每个主区域包括第一次区域和第二次区域,例如主区域R1包括第一次区域42a和第二次区域44a、主区域R2包括第一次区域42b和第二次区域44b、主区域R3包括第一次区域42c和第二次区域44c、主区域R4包括第一次区域42d和第二次区域44d。每个第一次区域设置有若干个第一缝隙45,每个第二次区域设置有若干个第二缝隙47。第一缝隙45和第二缝隙47是由图案化透明导电层而形成。
于每个第一次区域中,第一缝隙45从中心位置向外延伸且彼此间隔。如图4所示,不同第一次区域的第一缝隙45的延伸方向不同。例如,第一次区域42a中的第一缝隙45的延伸方向为135度,第一次区域42b中的第一缝隙45的延伸方向为45度,第一次区域42c中的第一缝隙45的延伸方向为225度,第一次区域42d中的第一缝隙45的延伸方向为315度。不同第一次区域的第一缝隙45对称设置,例如第一次区域42a中的第一缝隙45与第一次区域42b中的第一缝隙45相对于中央垂直线40b呈对称设置。同一第一次区域内的第一缝隙45平行排列,例如第一次区域42a中的第一缝隙45平行排列。
于每个第二次区域中,第二缝隙47彼此间隔。不同第二次区域中的第二缝隙47对称设置,例如第二次区域44a中的第二缝隙47与第二次区域44b中的第二缝隙47相对于中央垂直线40b呈对称设置。 同一第二次区域内的第二缝隙47平行排列,例如第二次区域44a中的第二缝隙47平行排列。
特别的是,从图4可以看出,同一主区域(如R1)中,第二次区域的第二缝隙47的延伸方向依据第一次区域的第一缝隙45的延伸方向倾斜一定角度。具体来说,在每个主区域中,第二缝隙47相对于第一缝隙45向中央水平线40a倾斜延伸。也就是说,在每个主区域中,第二缝隙47相对于中央水平线40a的倾斜角小于第一缝隙45相对于中央水平线40a的倾斜角。
于一较佳实施例中,同一主区域中,所述第二缝隙的延伸方向与所述第一缝隙的延伸方向的角度差的绝对值小于5度。此较佳实施例能够增加水平方向的侧向视角,有效改善水平方向大视角色偏的问题。
图4的透明电极中,对应的穿透率公式为:
其中n为液晶分子在垂直和水平偏转方向的折射率的差,d为液晶层的高度,λ为光波长。其中Δnd为定值,δ也为定值。
因此,当
越小,则穿透率Tr越小。本申请中,第二缝隙47相对于中央水平线40a的倾斜角小于第一缝隙45相对于中央水平线40a的倾斜角。也就是说,第二缝隙47的设置使得整体的穿透率下降了, 但是水平方向的侧向可视角度却获得了提升。也就是说,本申请设置第二缝隙47牺牲一部分穿透率来增加水平方向的侧向可视角度,实现例如大尺寸显示面板的视角表现的提升。
图5显示根据本申请实施例的液晶显示装置5的示意图。如图5所示,液晶显示装置5包括液晶显示面板3及背光模组4。背光模组4对应液晶显示面板3设置。请同时参阅图3至5,液晶显示面板3包括:
第一基板10;
第二基板20,设置为与第一基板10相距一段距离;
液晶层30,配置于第一基板10和第二基板20之间,液晶层30设置有液晶分子;以及
透明导电层,设置于第一基板10和第二基板20中的其中一个基板朝向另一个基板的一侧,透明导电层具有透明电极,一个透明电极对应一个子像素以中央水平线40a和中央垂直线40b为基准分成四个主区域R1、R2、R3、R4,每个主区域包括第一次区域42a、42b、42c、42d和第二次区域44a、44b、44c、44d,每个第一次区域设置有从中心位置向外延伸的若干个彼此间隔的第一缝隙45,不同第一次区域的第一缝隙45的延伸方向不同,每个第二次区域包括若干个彼此间隔的第二缝隙47,同一主区域中,第二缝隙47的延伸方向依据第一缝隙45的延伸方向倾斜一定角度。
液晶显示装置5的具体细节可参照上文的描述,在此不再赘述。
本申请的液晶显示面板及装置中,一个透明电极对应一个子像素 分成四个主区域,每个主区域包括第一次区域和第二次区域,每个第一次区域设置第一缝隙45,每个第二次区域设置第二缝隙47,第二缝隙47的延伸方向依据第一缝隙45的延伸方向倾斜一定角度。相较于现有的3T像素结构,本申请无需将子像素分割成两个显示区块,而是透过设置第二缝隙47,即能提升水平方向的侧视可视角度,改善大视角色偏的问题。本申请的另一个面向是,每个子像素仅采用一个薄膜晶体管,相较于现有的3T像素结构,本申请在降低驱动复杂度下提升了视角表现。
综上所述,虽然本申请已以优选实施例揭露如上,但上述优选实施例并非用以限制本申请,本领域的普通技术人员,在不脱离本申请的范围内,均可作各种更动与润饰,因此本申请的保护范围以权利要求界定的范围为准。
Claims (17)
- 一种液晶显示面板,包括:第一基板;第二基板,设置为与所述第一基板相距一段距离;液晶层,配置于所述第一基板和所述第二基板之间,所述液晶层设置有液晶分子;以及透明导电层,设置于所述第一基板和所述第二基板中的其中一个基板朝向另一个基板的一侧,所述透明导电层具有透明电极,一个透明电极对应一个子像素以中央水平线和中央垂直线为基准分成四个主区域,每个主区域包括第一次区域和第二次区域,每个第一次区域设置有从中心位置向外延伸的若干个彼此间隔的第一缝隙,不同第一次区域的第一缝隙的延伸方向不同,每个第二次区域包括若干个彼此间隔的第二缝隙,同一主区域中,所述第二缝隙的延伸方向依据所述第一缝隙的延伸方向倾斜一定角度,其中不同第一次区域的所述第一缝隙对称设置,不同第二次区域中的所述第二缝隙对称设置,且其中同一主区域中,所述第二缝隙的延伸方向与所述第一缝隙的延伸方向的角度差的绝对值小于5度。
- 根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述第一基板为薄膜晶体管阵列基板采用的基板,所述第二基板为彩膜基板采用的基板。
- 根据权利要求2所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述透明导电层包括具有像素电极的像素电极层,所述像素电极层设置于所述第一基 板。
- 根据权利要求2所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述透明导电层包括具有公共电极的公共电极层,所述公共电极层设置于所述第二基板。
- 根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其中一个子像素对应被分成四个所述主区域的一个透明电极,且仅对应设置一个薄膜晶体管。
- 根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述四个主区域中的所述第一缝隙的延伸方向为45度、135度、225度和315度。
- 根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其中同一第一次区域内的所述第一缝隙平行排列,同一第二次区域内的所述第二缝隙平行排列。
- 一种液晶显示面板,包括:第一基板;第二基板,设置为与所述第一基板相距一段距离;液晶层,配置于所述第一基板和所述第二基板之间,所述液晶层设置有液晶分子;以及透明导电层,设置于所述第一基板和所述第二基板中的其中一个基板朝向另一个基板的一侧,所述透明导电层具有透明电极,一个透明电极对应一个子像素以中央水平线和中央垂直线为基准分成四个主区域,每个主区域包括第一次区域和第二次区域,每个第一次区域设置有从中心位置向外延伸的若干个彼此间隔的第一缝隙,不同第一 次区域的第一缝隙的延伸方向不同,每个第二次区域包括若干个彼此间隔的第二缝隙,同一主区域中,所述第二缝隙的延伸方向依据所述第一缝隙的延伸方向倾斜一定角度。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述第一基板为薄膜晶体管阵列基板采用的基板,所述第二基板为彩膜基板采用的基板。
- 根据权利要求9所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述透明导电层包括具有像素电极的像素电极层,所述像素电极层设置于所述第一基板。
- 根据权利要求9所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述透明导电层包括具有公共电极的公共电极层,所述公共电极层设置于所述第二基板。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶显示面板,其中一个子像素对应被分成四个所述主区域的一个透明电极,且仅对应设置一个薄膜晶体管。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶显示面板,其中所述四个主区域中的所述第一缝隙的延伸方向为45度、135度、225度和315度。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶显示面板,其中不同第一次区域的所述第一缝隙对称设置,不同第二次区域中的所述第二缝隙对称设置。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶显示面板,其中同一第一次区域内的所述第一缝隙平行排列,同一第二次区域内的所述第二缝隙平行 排列。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶显示面板,其中同一主区域中,所述第二缝隙的延伸方向与所述第一缝隙的延伸方向的角度差的绝对值小于5度。
- 一种液晶显示装置,包括:液晶显示面板;以及背光模组,对应所述液晶显示面板设置,其中所述液晶显示面板包括:第一基板;第二基板,设置为与所述第一基板相距一段距离;液晶层,配置于所述第一基板和所述第二基板之间,所述液晶层设置有液晶分子;以及透明导电层,设置于所述第一基板和所述第二基板中的其中一个基板朝向另一个基板的一侧,所述透明导电层具有透明电极,一个透明电极对应一个子像素以中央水平线和中央垂直线为基准分成四个主区域,每个主区域包括第一次区域和第二次区域,每个第一次区域设置有从中心位置向外延伸的若干个彼此间隔的第一缝隙,不同第一次区域的第一缝隙的延伸方向不同,每个第二次区域包括若干个彼此间隔的第二缝隙,同一主区域中,所述第二缝隙的延伸方向依据所述第一缝隙的延伸方向倾斜一定角度。
