Definitions
- the present invention refers to a type of dock channeling module, which is configured to give continuity to the surface of the dock and allows the transverse channeling of water, electricity and / or communication services without wiring and / or hoses are visible on the surface of said dock.
- the field of application is intended for the field of port services, and especially for the means by which all types of pipes and cables can be supplied and channeled in a marine environment.
- the invention is intended to be installed preferably in docks, although it can be installed in other types of mooring structures for boats, such as piers or piers.
- the pontoons are narrow structures like a gangway or outpost that go into the sea and that are used as a jetty for boats generally of small tonnage, being generally with a width that only allows the passage of people and is not intended to withstand heavy road traffic.
- pontoons floating and fixed pontoons are known, but all of them generally in their upper part are constituted by a flat surface where people run. These flat surfaces can be formed by different types of closings, although the best known are timbers or slats that are arranged transversely to the direction of advance of the walkway, and where These timbers or slats are anchored and fixed to at least two longitudinal profiles fixed to the dock.
- plywood, grooved wooden aligned plates can be used, joined with non-slip molding, these plates rest on longitudinal sleepers or profiles that are attached to the lattice of the dock with special stainless steel screws.
- the present invention is aimed at the specific typology of pontoons consisting of a plurality of transverse slats or timbers, although it can be installed on any other type of dock with a continuous upper surface.
- a solution is also known consisting in that the perpendicular boards or slats of a dock instead of being anchored to a closed profile, these are anchored to a profile that internally has a compartment through which the services circulate.
- This solution similar to the previously mentioned solutions, is intended to provide services to a dock, but longitudinally, that is, to different service blocks, but it is not intended to subsequently feed each of the vessels that are on both sides of the hall. It is true that this solution allows the different service blocks to be supplied in a simpler way, but in order to provide services to the different vessels, the users are going to re-lay the cables and hoses transversely on the passage surface, therefore, the problem remains unsolved.
- the present invention describes a transverse module, that is, a module that simulates a batten or wood, which is hollow and allows the passage of cables and hoses, which is located next to the service blocks, and that it has a hinged cover that allows any user to access the free space of the module and hide the cables and hoses so that said cables and hoses are protected and a passer-by who runs through the corridor of the dock does not have the danger of trip or fall.
- the present invention provides an important improvement over the current means, both in safety and in risk prevention, since by hiding the cables and hoses that they are hooked to the different ship service blocks and that they cross or obliquely cross the surface of passage to feed the multiple boats located on both sides of the corridor, it achieves:
- the dock service module which is described in detail below, solves a problem that currently exists in docks, consisting of providing services to boats that are located on both sides of the dock corridor, allowing quick and comfortable access to the pipes, conduits, hoses, wiring that starts from the service blocks, and allowing said elements to be hidden so as to improve the safety and maintenance conditions of the users' surface, and avoiding that there may be tripping and falls caused by a user getting hooked on said cables or hoses.
- the invention consists of a dock channeling module, which has a hollow rectangular prism configuration, with which it simulates the shape and characteristics of the conventional wooden slats or boards of the dock, and these modules, like the slats and boards, they are fixed at their ends in the longitudinal profiles of the dock.
- the module has the particularity that its upper cover is foldable, therefore, anyone can introduce the wiring or hoses that they require to be able to cross them transversely from a service block to the opposite side of the corridor where the boats that require such services.
- the module has the additional peculiarity that in both external parts of the cover there are through openings that allow the ends of the cables to enter and leaving the module, and therefore, the connection is easier and faster.
- the outer surface of the lid is preferably rough in order to avoid unwanted slipping.
- the module can include a lighting system inside the compartment that precisely improves these visibility problems, said lighting being powered and controlled from the service block.
- the module structure is made of metallic and / or plastic materials, which have good mechanical resistance, have protection against an aggressive environment such as the sea, have protection against UV rays, and are resistant to sea water and other common chemical components. in port facilities.
- This module can be placed transversely as many times as required, since, when simulating a slat or wood, it does not need to be installed in transition areas, but can be installed as many times as necessary, and according to the own configuration of the moorings and blocks of pants service. In this sense, if more modules need to be included, only one piece of wood or strip has to be removed and a module, which is of the same dimensions, attached to the existing longitudinal structure.
- this module in the pontoons it is possible, compared to the existing solutions in the state of the art, to give continuity to the surface of the trouser aisle and allows the transversal channeling of water, electricity and / or communication without the wiring and pipes being on the surface of said pants, improving the proper functioning of the daily activities of the pants; with which said wiring is hidden and the risk of tripping and falls is eliminated; a global surface free of chafing or cuts is generated; the organization and distribution of services to the different boats located on both sides of the corridor are improved; port aesthetics are improved; and a solution is obtained that improves the overall maintenance of the port facilities.
- Fig. 1 It is a representation in perspective of a pair of pants where a transversal module is included, and its integration with the rest of the elements of the structure can be seen.
- Fig. 2 is a perspective representation of a module.
- Fig. 3 is an enlarged detail of the end of a module.
- Fig. 4 it is the representation of a middle section of the module, where it is observed how the cables and hoses go through its interior, and specifically, it is observed that the folding top cover, which in that situation is open and, therefore , any user can access the interior of the module.
- Figure 1 shows a general representation of how the ducting module (M) of the present invention is integrated into the passage of a trouser consisting of a plurality of strips or timbers (1), which are fixed at their ends to at least two lateral longitudinal profiles (2), and how in said pants there are arranged on one of their sides at least one service block (3) that allows providing services to the different boats that are arranged on both sides of the pants.
- M ducting module
- the module (M) allows hiding said cables and hoses, and channels said services from the service block (3) to the opposite side of the corridor without obstacles, obtaining the advantages that previously defined.
- the module (M) has a hollow rectangular prism configuration, with which it simulates the shape and characteristics of the slats, conventional wooden boards (1) or dock boards.
- the upper cover (5) of the module is foldable, therefore, any user can introduce the wiring and hoses (4) that require to cross the width of the dock into the internal recess of the module.
- Outside the cover there are through openings (6) that allow the ends of the cables and hoses (4) to enter and leave the module (M) and, therefore, the connection is easier and faster.
- the outer surface of the cover is rough and for this it has projections (7) with various shapes and sizes, with which in addition to giving a more attractive visual configuration, unwanted slipping is avoided.
- these openings may additionally have a perimeter protection flange (8).
- This flange (8) also helps this point allow a user to fold down the upper cover (5) in a more comfortable and safe way.
- this solution can be installed transversely as many times as required, since, by simulating a slat or wood (1), it does not need to be installed in transition areas, but can be installed as many times it is necessary, with which it can be seen that it is a versatile and implementable solution in any type of dock currently in existence, having to do so only having to remove one of the timbers that are close to any service block existing in said dock .
