Description
[DESCRIPTION]
[TITLE OF INVENTION]
STRUCTURE FOR REAR PORTION OF VEHICLE BODY
[Technical Field]
[0001]
The present invention relates to a structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body which includes a reflector in an exterior member in a vehicle body rear portion.
[Background Art]
[0002]
There are vehicles which include a reflector (reflecting plate) attached to a rear bumper face (exterior member) of a vehicle body rear portion. Since a rear bumper face is a member which bulges rearward at a rear end portion of a vehicle body, the rear bumper face is highly likely to come into contact with another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like. For this reason, a reflector attached to a rear bumper face is highly likely to be damaged when a rear portion of a vehicle comes into contact with another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like.
[0003]
As a countermeasure against this, a structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body having a concave portion for protecting a reflector in the rear portion of a bumper beam has been proposed. A concave portion for protecting a reflector faces the reflector with a gap on the front side of the reflector. In the case of this structure for the rear portion of a vehicle body, when a load is input from behind a vehicle to the vicinity of a portion of a rear bumper face in which the reflector is installed, the deformed portion of the rear bumper face first comes into contact with a circumferential edge of the concave portion for protecting the reflector. As a result, the reflector located inside the concave portion
for protecting the reflector is protected (refer to, for example, Patent Document 1).

[Technical Problem]
[0005]
However, there are vehicles in which a bumper beam is not disposed in front of a portion in which a reflector is installed and vehicles in which there is no bumper beam at all. In such vehicles, it is difficult to protect a reflector attached to a rear bumper face (exterior member) from the external load.
[0006]
In consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, an aspect according to the present invention is intended to provide a structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body capable of protecting a reflector from an external load regardless of the presence or absence of a bumper beam and the arrangement of the bumper beam.
[Solution to Problem]
[0007]
The present invention adopts the following aspects to solve the above-described problems.
(1) A structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body according to an aspect of the present invention includes: an exterior member provided on a rear surface of a vehicle; a reflector exposed to an outside of vehicle on a rear surface side of the exterior member; a
rear panel configured to partition an inside and an outside of a passenger compartment on a front surface of the exterior member; and a protrusion member protruding behind the vehicle from the rear panel.
[0008]
With the above-described aspect, when a load is input from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like to the exterior member of the vehicle rear surface, the load is input to the protrusion member with the deformation of the exterior member. The load input to the protrusion member is received by the rear panel. For this reason, a large load is prevented from being input to the reflector.
[0009]
(2) In the aspect of (1), the protrusion member may protrude further behind the vehicle than the reflector.
In this case, when a load is input from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like to the exterior member of the vehicle rear surface, the protrusion member easily receives the load before the reflector. For this reason, when this constitution is adopted, it is possible to more reliably protect the reflector from the external load.
[0010]
(3) In the aspect of (1) or (2), the protrusion member may be disposed at a position in which at least a part of the protrusion member is overlapped with the reflector in a vehicle width direction.
In this case, when a load is input from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like to the exterior member of the vehicle rear surface, it is possible for the protrusion member to more reliably receive the load while protecting the reflector.
[0011]
(4) In the aspect of (3), the reflector and the protrusion member may be disposed
in an outer region of a vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction, and the protrusion member may extend to be longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflector.
In this case, when a load is input from the outside to the outer region of the vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction, the load is stably received by the protrusion member which extends in the vehicle width direction to be longer than the reflector. For this reason, even when a load biased toward the outer region of the vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction is input, it is more difficult for the load to be input to the reflector.
[0012]
(5) In the aspect of any one of (1) to (4), the protrusion member may have a reinforcing bead which extends substantially in a forward/rearward direction of the vehicle.
In this case, the strength of the protrusion member in the forward/rearward direction of the vehicle body is increased by the reinforcing beads. For this reason, when this constitution is adopted, it is possible to protect the reflector against the input load from behind the vehicle while preventing an increase in size of the protrusion member.
[0013]
(6) In the aspect of (5), a plurality of reinforcing beads may be arranged in the vehicle width direction of the protrusion member.
In this case, it is possible for the reinforcing beads to efficiently reinforce a wide range of the protrusion member in the vehicle width direction.
[0014]
(7) In the aspect of any one of (1) to (6), the protrusion member may include a
pair of upper and lower fixed flanges bolt-fastened to the rear panel and a U-shaped cross-sectional portion which protrudes in a substantially U-shaped cross section behind the vehicle from proximal ends of the pair of fixed flanges.
In this case, when a load is input from behind the vehicle to the U-shaped cross-sectional portion of the protrusion member, the load easily acts on the protrusion member in a direction in which the U-shaped cross-sectional portion opens. However, the opening of the U-shaped cross-sectional portion is stably regulated by bolt fastening of the upper and lower fixed flanges. In this constitution, it is possible to strongly regulate the separation of the fixed flanges from the rear panel as compared with a case in which the upper and lower fixed flanges are welded to the rear panel.
[Advantageous Effects of Invention]
[0015]
According to the aspects according to the present invention, it is possible to protect a reflector from an external load regardless of the presence or absence of a bumper beam or the arrangement of the bumper beam because protrusion members which protrude behind a vehicle from a rear panel are provided.

[0018]
Fig. 1 is a view of a vehicle 1 according to the embodiment viewed from the rear. The vehicle 1 according to the embodiment has an opening portion 2 in the rear of a vehicle body. The opening portion 2 is opened and closed through a top-hinged type table gate (rear door) (not shown). A part of lower and side regions of the opening portion 2 is surrounded by a rear bumper face 10 serving as an exterior member. The rear bumper face 10 includes a first bumper face 10A extending substantially over the entire region in a vehicle width direction and a pair of second bumper faces 10B disposed in left and right side regions of the opening portion 2 in a lower portion of the opening portion 2. The left and right second bumper faces 10B are disposed adjacent to each other above the left and right side regions of the first bumper face 10A with substantially no gap. The first bumper face 10A and the second bumper faces 10B are mainly made of a resin. It should be noted that reference numeral 3 in Fig. 1 is a rear tire of the
vehicle 1.
[0019]
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a rear panel 11 which partitions the inside and the outside of a passenger compartment on the front side of the rear bumper face 10. Fig. 3 is a rear view of the rear left portion of the vehicle 1 in which the rear bumper face 10 is removed. Furthermore, Figs. 4 and 5 are a left side view and a top view of the rear left portion of the vehicle 1 in which the rear bumper face 10 is removed.
The rear panel 11 is constituted by joining a plurality of metal plate members.
In Fig. 2, only plate material portions (hereinafter referred to as“side portions 11 A”) disposed at the left and right end portions in the vehicle width direction are indicated by solid lines and the other portions are indicated by imaginary lines. The rear panel 11 is disposed to surround a part of the lower side and the left and right sides of the opening portion 2 in the vehicle body rear portion and is joined to a vehicle body frame, a rear floor panel, and the like (not shown) by appropriate means. The rear bumper face 10 is attached to the rear surface side of the rear panel 11 by bolt fastening, clip fastening, or the like.
The left and right second bumper faces 10B in the rear bumper face 10 are attached to the left and right side portions 11 A in the rear panel 11.
[0020]
Openings 12 which are long in an upward/downward direction are provided in the vicinity of outer end portions in the vehicle width direction of the left and right second bumper faces 10B. Reflectors 13 are fitted into the openings 12. The reflectors 13 are vertically long components which have a depth in a forward/rearward direction and include reflecting mirrors (not shown) built therein. The reflectors 13 are fitted into the openings 12 in the second bumper faces 10B and reflecting surfaces l3a
are exposed to the outside of the vehicle (the rear surface side).
[0021]
Outer bulging portions 14 and lower bulging portions 15 which bulge further behind the vehicle than the reflecting surfaces l3a of the reflectors 13 are formed on outer portions and lower portions in the vehicle width direction of portions of rear surfaces of the second bumper faces 10B in which the reflectors 13 are installed. The openings 12 and the reflectors 13 are disposed in close proximity to inner regions of the outer bulging portions 14 in the vehicle width direction.
[0022]
The left and right side portions 11 A in the rear panel 11 are disposed to be inclined slightly outward in the vehicle width direction to substantially approximate a curved shape of a side portion of the rear bumper face 10 (the second bumper faces 10B). Protrusion members 16 formed by press-molding metal plate members are attached to the front sides of the lower bulging portions 15 of the second bumper faces 10B in the left and right side portions 11 A.
[0023]
Each of the protrusion members 16 includes a pair of upper and lower fixed flanges l6a and 16b which are fastened and fixed to a rear surface of each side portion 11 A in the rear panel 11 by a plurality of bolts 17 and a U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c which protrudes behind the vehicle in a substantially U-shaped cross section from proximal ends of the pair of fixed flanges l6a and l6b. The fixed flanges l6a and l6b and the U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c extend substantially in the vehicle width direction and the fixed flanges l6a and l6b and the rear surface of the side portion 11 A overlap and are bolt- fastened to each other. The U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c in the protrusion member 16 protrudes behind the vehicle from the side portion 11 A in
the rear panel 11.
[0024]
The protrusion members 16 extend to be longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflectors 13 in the installed state. A part of an outer region in the vehicle width direction of the protrusion members 16 is overlapped with each of the reflectors 13 in a lower position of the reflector 13 in the vehicle width direction. Furthermore, end portions of the protrusion members 16 on the protrusion side protrude further behind the vehicle than the reflectors 13 in the installed state.
[0025]
Also, a plurality of reinforcing beads 18 extending substantially in the forward/rearward direction of the vehicle body are formed on an upper wall and a lower wall of the U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c in the protrusion member 16. The plurality of reinforcing beads 18 are disposed on the upper walls and the lower walls of the U-shaped cross-sectional portions l6c in the vehicle width direction.
[0026]
In the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body in the embodiment, when a load is input to the vicinity of the portions of the rear bumper face 10 in which the reflectors 13 are installed from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like, the load can be received by the vehicle body as follows.
When a load is input to the vicinity of the portions of the rear bumper face 10 in which the reflectors 13 are installed, the rear bumper face 10 (the second bumper faces 10B) is deformed to the front side with the load input portion as a center. At that time, a front surface of the deformed portion in each of the second bumper faces 10B is brought into contact with the U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c in one of the protrusion members 16 and the input load is received by each of the side portions 11 A in the rear
panel 11 via the protrusion member 16.
[0027]
As described above, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, a load input to the rear bumper face 10 can be received by the rear panel 11 via the protrusion members 16 because the protrusion members 16 which protrude behind the vehicle from the side portions 11 A in the rear panel 11 are provided. Therefore, when the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment is adopted, it is possible to protect the reflectors 13 against the external load regardless of the presence or absence of a bumper beam or the arrangement of the bumper beam.
[0028]
Particularly, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, the protrusion members 16 protrude further behind the vehicle than the reflectors 13. Thus, when a load is input from the outside to the rear bumper face 10, the protrusion members 16 can easily receive the load before the reflectors 13.
Therefore, when this constitution is adopted, it is possible to more reliably protect each of the reflectors 13 from the external load.
[0029]
Also, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, at least parts of the protrusion members 16 are disposed to be overlapped with the reflectors 13 in the vehicle width direction on a lower portion side of the reflectors 13. For this reason, when a load is input from the outside to the rear bumper face 10, the load can be reliably received by the protrusion members 16 while protecting the reflectors 13.
[0030]
Also, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, the reflectors 13 and the protrusion members 16 are each disposed in an outer region of a vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction and the protrusion members 16 extend to be longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflectors 13. For this reason, as illustrated in Fig. 5, when a load is input from another vehicle, an external object 20, or the like to the outer region of the rear bumper face 10 in the vehicle width direction, the load can be stably received by the protrusion members 16 which extend in the vehicle width direction to be longer than the reflectors 13. Therefore, when this constitution is adopted, even when a load biased toward the outer region of the vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction is input, it is possible to stably protect the reflectors 13 from the input load.
[0031]
In addition, in the case of the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, each of the protrusion members 16 has the reinforcing beads 18 which extend substantially in the forward/rearward direction of the vehicle. Thus, it is possible to efficiently increase the strength of the protrusion members 16 in the forward/rearward direction of the vehicle body by the reinforcing beads 18.
Therefore, when this constitution is adopted, it is possible to protect each of the reflectors 13 against the input load from behind the vehicle while preventing an increase in size of the protrusion members 16.
[0032]
Particularly, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, the plurality of reinforcing beads 18 are arranged in the vehicle width direction of the protrusion members 16. Thus, it is possible to efficiently reinforce a wide range of the protrusion members 16 in the vehicle width direction by the reinforcing
beads 18.
[0033]
Also, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the embodiment, the protrusion members 16 are configured to include the pair of upper and lower fixed flanges l6a and l6b which are bolt-fastened to the rear panel 11 and the U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c which protrudes behind the vehicle from the pair of fixed flanges l6a and l6b. For this reason, when a load is input from behind the vehicle to the U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c in the protrusion members 16, even when the load acts in a direction in which the U-shaped cross-sectional portion l6c opens, it is possible to regulate the opening through the bolt fastening of the upper and lower fixed flanges l6a and l6b. Therefore, when this constitution is adopted, it is possible to effectively prevent the separation of the protrusion members 16 (the fixed flanges l6a and l6b) from the rear panel 11 with the input of a load.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above -described
embodiments and various design changes are possible without departing from the gist of the present invention.
