Description

Structure for rear portion of vehicle body
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body, which includes a reflector in an exterior member in the rear portion of the vehicle body.
Background
There are vehicles including a reflector (reflection plate) attached to a rear bumper face (exterior member) of a vehicle body rear portion. Since the rear bumper face is a member that protrudes rearward at the rear end portion of the vehicle body, the rear bumper face is likely to come into contact with another vehicle, a fixed object, or the like. For this reason, when the rear of the vehicle comes into contact with another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like, the reflector attached to the rear bumper face is likely to be damaged.
As a countermeasure against this, there has been proposed a structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body having a recess for protecting a reflector in a rear portion of a bumper beam. The recess for protecting the reflector faces the reflector with a gap at the front side of the reflector. With such a structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body, when a load is input from the rear of the vehicle to the vicinity of the portion of the rear bumper face on which the reflector is mounted, the deformed portion of the rear bumper face first comes into contact with the circumferential edge of the recess for protecting the reflector. Therefore, the reflector located in the recess for protecting the reflector is protected (for example, refer to patent document 1).

Disclosure of Invention
However, there are vehicles in which a bumper beam is not provided in front of a portion where a reflector is mounted and vehicles in which a bumper beam is not provided at all. In such a vehicle, it is difficult to protect the reflector attached to the rear bumper face (outer member) from an external load.
In view of the above, it is an aspect according to the present invention to provide a structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body capable of protecting a reflector from an external load regardless of the presence or absence of a bumper beam and regardless of the arrangement of the bumper beam.
[ means for solving problems ]
The present invention solves the above problems with the following aspects.
(1) A structure for a rear portion of a vehicle body according to an aspect of the present invention includes: an exterior member provided on a rear surface of a vehicle; a reflector exposed to an outside of the vehicle on a rear surface side of the exterior member; a rear panel configured to partition an interior and an exterior of a passenger compartment on a front surface of the exterior member; and a protruding member protruding from the rear panel toward the rear of the vehicle.
With the above aspect, when a load is input to the outer member of the vehicle rear surface from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like, the load is input to the protruding member with deformation of the outer member. The load input to the protruding member is received by the rear panel. Therefore, a large load is prevented from being input to the reflector.
(2) In the aspect according to (1), the protruding member may protrude more toward the rear of the vehicle than the reflector.
In this case, when a load is input to the exterior member of the vehicle rear surface from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like, the protruding member easily receives the load in front of the reflector. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, the reflector can be more reliably protected from external loads.
(3) In the aspect according to (1) or (2), the protruding member may be provided at a position where at least a part of the protruding member overlaps with the reflector in the vehicle width direction.
In this case, when a load is input to the exterior member of the vehicle rear surface from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like, the protruding member can receive the load more reliably while protecting the reflector.
(4) In the aspect according to (3), the reflector and the protruding member may be provided in an outer region of a vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction, and the protruding member may extend longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflector.
In this case, when a load is input from the outside to an outer region of the vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction, the load is stably received by the protruding member that extends longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflector. Therefore, even when a load biased toward the outer region in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle rear portion is input, it is more difficult to input the load to the reflector.
(5) In the aspect of any one of (1) to (4), the protruding member may have a reinforcing bead that extends substantially in the front-rear direction of the vehicle.
In this case, the strength of the protruding member in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body is increased by the reinforcing ribs. Therefore, when such a configuration is adopted, it is possible to protect the reflector from an input load from behind the vehicle while preventing an increase in the size of the protruding member.
(6) In the aspect according to (5), a plurality of reinforcing beads may be arranged in the vehicle width direction of the projecting member.
In this case, the reinforcing bead can effectively reinforce the width range of the projecting member in the vehicle width direction.
(7) In the aspect according to any one of (1) to (6), the protruding member may include a pair of upper and lower fixing flanges that are bolt-fastened to the rear panel, and a U-shaped cross-sectional portion that protrudes in a substantially U-shaped cross-section from proximal ends of the pair of fixing flanges toward the rear of the vehicle.
In this case, when a load is input to the U-shaped cross-sectional portion of the protruding member from the rear of the vehicle, the load is likely to act on the protruding member in the direction in which the U-shaped cross-sectional portion opens. However, the opening of the U-shaped cross-sectional portion can be stably adjusted by bolt fastening of the upper and lower fixing flanges. With this configuration, the separation of the fixing flange from the rear panel can be strongly restricted, as compared with the case where the upper fixing flange and the lower fixing flange are welded to the rear panel.
[ advantageous effects of the invention ]
According to the aspects of the present invention, since the protruding member protruding from the rear panel toward the rear of the vehicle is provided, the reflector can be protected from an external load regardless of the presence or absence of the bumper beam or the arrangement of the bumper beam.

Portions of the lower region and the side regions of the opening portion 2 are surrounded by a rear bumper face 10 as an exterior member. The rear bumper face 10 includes a first bumper face 10A extending substantially over the entire region in the vehicle width direction, and a pair of second bumper faces 10B provided in left and right regions of the opening portion 2 in a lower portion of the opening portion 2. The left and right second bumper faces 10B and 10B are disposed adjacent to each other substantially without a gap above the left and right regions of the first bumper face 10A. The first bumper face 10A and the second bumper face 10B are mainly made of resin. It should be noted that reference numeral 3 in fig. 1 is a rear tire of the vehicle 1.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the rear panel 11, the rear panel 11 partitioning the interior and exterior of the passenger compartment on the front side of the rear bumper face 10. Fig. 3 is a rear view of the left rear portion of the vehicle 1 with the rear bumper face 10 removed. Further, fig. 4 and 5 are left side and top views of the left rear portion of the vehicle 1 with the rear bumper face 10 removed.
The rear panel 11 is formed by connecting a plurality of metal plate members. In fig. 2, plate material portions (hereinafter referred to as "side portions 11A") provided only at left and right end portions in the vehicle width direction are indicated by solid lines, and the other portions are indicated by broken lines. The rear panel 11 is provided so as to surround the lower side and the left and right side portions of the opening portion 2 in the rear portion of the vehicle body, and is joined to a vehicle body frame, a rear floor panel, and the like (not shown) by appropriate means. The rear bumper face 10 is attached to the rear surface side of the rear panel 11 by bolting, clipping, or the like.
Left and right second bumper faces 10B and 10B in the rear bumper face 10 are attached to left and right side portions 11A and 11A in the rear panel 11.
Openings 12 that are long in the up-down direction are provided in the vicinity of outer end portions of the left and right second bumper faces 10B, 10B in the vehicle width direction. The reflector 13 is fitted into the opening 12. The reflector 13 is a vertically long member having a depth in the front-rear direction and including a mirror (not shown) built in the member. The reflector 13 is fitted into the opening 12 in the second bumper face 10B, and the reflection face 13a is exposed to the vehicle exterior (rear surface side).
An outer projecting portion 14 and a lower projecting portion 15 are formed on the outer and lower portions in the vehicle width direction of the portion of the second bumper face 10B on which the rear surface of the reflector 13 is mounted, the outer projecting portion 14 and the lower projecting portion 15 projecting more toward the rear of the vehicle than the reflection surface 13a of the reflector 13. The opening 12 and the reflector 13 are disposed immediately adjacent to the inner region of the outer projecting portion 14 in the vehicle width direction.
The left side portion 11A and the right side portion 11A in the rear panel 11 are provided to be slightly inclined outward in the vehicle width direction so as to substantially approximate the curved shape of the side portion of the rear bumper face 10 (second bumper face 10B). A protruding member 16 formed by press-molding a metal plate member is attached to the front side of the lower protruding portion 15 of the second bumper face 10B in the left side portion 11A and the right side portion 11A.
Each of the protruding members 16 includes a pair of upper and lower fixing flanges 16a and 16b that are fastened and fixed to the rear surface of each side portion 11A in the rear panel 11 by a plurality of bolts 17, and a U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c that protrudes from the proximal ends of the pair of fixing flanges 16a and 16b in a substantially U-shaped cross section toward the rear of the vehicle. The fixing flanges 16a and 16b and the U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c extend substantially in the vehicle width direction, and the fixing flanges 16a and 16b overlap with the rear surface of the side portion 11A and are fastened to each other by bolts. The U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c in the projecting member 16 projects toward the rear of the vehicle from the side portion 11A in the rear panel 11.
The protruding member 16 extends longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflector 13 in the mounted state. A part of the outer region of the protruding member 16 in the vehicle width direction overlaps each of the reflectors 13 in the vehicle width direction in the lower position of the reflectors 13. Further, the end portion of the projecting member 16 on the projecting side projects more toward the rear of the vehicle than the reflector 13 in the mounted state.
In addition, a plurality of reinforcing beads 18 are formed on the upper and lower walls of the U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c in the projecting member 16, the reinforcing beads extending substantially in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body. A plurality of reinforcing beads 18 are provided on the upper wall and the lower wall of the U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c in the vehicle width direction.
In the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body in this embodiment, when a load is input from another vehicle, a stationary object, or the like to the vicinity of the portion of the rear bumper face 10 where the reflector 13 is mounted, the load can be received by the vehicle body as follows.
When a load is input to the vicinity of the portion of the rear bumper face 10 where the reflector 13 is attached, the rear bumper face 10 (second bumper face 10B) deforms to the front side with the load input portion as the center. At this time, the front surface of the deformed portion in each of the second bumper faces 10B is in contact with the U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c in one of the protruding members 16, and the input load is received by each of the side portions 11A in the rear panel 11 via the protruding member 16.
As described above, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the present embodiment, since the projecting member 16 that projects toward the rear of the vehicle from the side portion 11A in the rear panel 11 is provided, the load input to the rear bumper face 10 can be received by the rear panel 11 through the projecting member 16. Therefore, when the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the present embodiment is adopted, the reflector 13 can be protected from external loads regardless of the presence or absence of the bumper beam or the arrangement of the bumper beam.
In particular, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to this embodiment, the projecting member 16 projects more toward the rear of the vehicle than the reflector 13. Therefore, when a load is input to the rear bumper face 10 from the outside, the protruding member 16 can easily receive the load in front of the reflector 13. Therefore, when such a configuration is adopted, each of the reflectors 13 can be more reliably protected from an external load.
In addition, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the present embodiment, at least part of the protruding member 16 is provided so as to overlap with the reflector 13 in the vehicle width direction on the lower portion side of the reflector 13. For this reason, when a load is input to the rear bumper face 10 from the outside, the load can be reliably received by the protruding member 16 while protecting the reflector 13.
In addition, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the present embodiment, the reflector 13 and the projecting member 16 are each provided in an outer region of the vehicle rear portion in the vehicle width direction, and the projecting member 16 extends longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflector 13. Therefore, as shown in fig. 5, when a load is input from another vehicle, an external object 20, or the like to the outer region of the rear bumper face 10 in the vehicle width direction, the load can be stably received by the protruding member 16, the protruding member 16 extending longer in the vehicle width direction than the reflector 13. Therefore, when such a configuration is employed, even when a load biased toward the outer region in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle rear portion is input, the reflector 13 can be stably protected from the input load.
In addition, in the case of the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to this embodiment, each of the projecting members 16 has a reinforcing bead 18, and the reinforcing bead 18 extends substantially in the front-rear direction of the vehicle. Therefore, the strength of the projecting member 16 in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body can be effectively increased by the reinforcing bead 18. Therefore, when such a configuration is adopted, it is possible to protect each of the reflectors 13 from an input load from behind the vehicle while preventing the protruding member 16 from increasing in size.
In particular, in the structure for the rear portion of a vehicle body according to this embodiment, the plurality of reinforcing beads 18 are arranged in the vehicle width direction of the projecting member 16. Therefore, the width range of the projecting member 16 in the vehicle width direction can be effectively reinforced by the reinforcing bead 18.
In addition, in the structure for the rear portion of the vehicle body according to the present embodiment, the projecting member 16 is configured to include a pair of upper and lower fixing flanges 16a and 16b that are bolt-fastened to the rear panel 11, and a U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c that projects toward the rear of the vehicle from the pair of fixing flanges 16a and 16 b. Therefore, when a load is input from the rear of the vehicle to the U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c in the protruding member 16, even when the load acts in the direction in which the U-shaped cross-sectional portion 16c opens, the opening can be adjusted by the bolt fastening of the upper fixing flange 16a and the lower fixing flange 16 b. Therefore, when such a configuration is adopted, separation of the projecting members 16 (the fixing flanges 16a and 16b) from the rear panel 11 in the event of load input can be effectively prevented.
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various design changes may be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
