本発明は、連続波信号を生成する信号発生部(11)と、連続波信号を電波として放射するアンテナ(1)と、信号発生部(11)とアンテナ(1)のインピーダンスの整合を取る可変整合回路(21)と、信号発生部(11)が生成する連続波信号とアンテナ(1)に入射した電波の反射信号に基づき、検波信号を出力する検波回路(31)と、検波信号に基づき、心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の検波信号から、可変整合回路(21)の素子値を制御する制御部(41)とを設けた生体センサ装置を提供する。
Description
この発明は、心拍および呼吸波形を非接触で電波を用いて取得する生体センサ装置に関するものである。
近年、少子高齢化社会の進展に伴い、突発的あるいは加齢による体調急変に起因した交通事故が増加している。また、労働人口の減少に伴い、運輸業ではドライバー1人あたりの負荷が過大となっており、疲労や居眠り運転に起因した事故もたびたび発生している。このような背景から、心拍および呼吸波形などの生体情報から体調および健康状態を推定する技術に関する研究が盛んになっており、心拍および呼吸波形を安定して取得可能な生体センサ装置の開発が期待されている。また、車載用装置としては、乗員に対し非接触かつ非拘束であることが望ましいため、電波を用いた生体センサ装置が有望である。
電波を用いたセンサでは一般にドップラーセンサが使用されるが、高周波が利用されているため、周囲環境からの反射や外来ノイズの影響が大きく、心拍および呼吸波形を正確に取得することが難しい。
また、車載用装置として用いるためには、小型化が求められるが、波長に比べて小さい小形アンテナを用いた場合は、人体の影響によりアンテナの共振周波数が変化し、センサ感度が劣化する。このため、心拍および呼吸波形を正確に取得することが困難である。
このような問題に対し、特許文献1では、入力信号を複数周波数とすることで、人体の影響で共振周波数が変化しても感度変化を低減するセンサが開示されている。
特許文献1の心拍センサ装置では、複数の周波数を入力波としているため、装置構成要素の直交検波回路内のミキサのローカル波も複数周波数となる。このため、ミキサの非線形性によりIM(Inter Modulation:相互変調)成分が多数発生し、心拍および呼吸波形の精度よい測定および検知が困難である。また、複数の周波数を用いるためには、信号生成部とバンドパスフィルタからなる送信回路の構成を複雑化する必要があり、その結果コストがかかるという課題がある。
本発明は、上述のような課題を解決するためになされたもので、人体等の設置周囲条件によって変化する生体センサ用アンテナの入力インピーダンスを適応的に制御し、自動で整合させることで設置周囲環境の変化に適応した検知精度の高い、簡易な構成の生体センサ装置を得ることを目的とする。
この発明による生体センサ装置は、連続波信号を生成する信号発生部と、前記連続波信号を電波として放射するアンテナと、前記信号発生部と前記アンテナのインピーダンスの整合を取る可変整合回路と、前記連続波信号と前記アンテナに入射した電波の反射信号に基づき、検波信号を出力する検波回路と、前記検波信号に基づき、心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の前記検波信号から、前記可変整合回路の素子値を制御する制御部とを設けたものである。
本発明は、人体等の設置周囲条件によって変化する生体センサ用アンテナの入力インピーダンスを適応的に制御し、自動で整合させることで設置周囲環境の変化に適応した検知精度の高い、簡易な構成の生体センサ装置を得ることができる。
以下、この発明をより詳細に説明するために、この発明を実施するための形態について、添付の図面に従って説明する。
実施の形態1.
図1は、本実施の形態に係る生体センサ装置を示す構成図である。図1において、本実施の形態に係る生体センサ装置には、アンテナ1と、信号発生部11と、可変整合回路21と、直交検波回路31と、制御部41と、分配回路51、52とが設けられている。

アンテナ1は、波長に比べて小さい小形アンテナであり、ループアンテナやダイポールアンテナなどが考えられる。アンテナ1の設置位置は、本実施の形態で限定するものではなく、例えば、被測定者の心臓近傍に設置することで心拍および呼吸波形の検知精度を向上させることが可能である。
信号発生部11は、周波数の連続波を生成する信号発生器であり、出力端子1101を有する。
可変整合回路21は、2つの端子2101と2102を有し、端子2102(アンテナ1と接続する第2の端子、第3の端子)に接続される負荷インピーダンスを端子2101(第1の端子)に接続される回路のインピーダンスに整合させる回路であり、その通過および反射特性を可変できる回路である。
なお、本実施の形態では、可変整合回路21が、可変容量素子を3つとインダクタを1つ備えた場合について説明する。可変整合回路21の一例を図2に示す。
可変整合回路21は、2つの端子2101と2102を有し、端子2102(アンテナ1と接続する第2の端子、第3の端子)に接続される負荷インピーダンスを端子2101(第1の端子)に接続される回路のインピーダンスに整合させる回路であり、その通過および反射特性を可変できる回路である。
なお、本実施の形態では、可変整合回路21が、可変容量素子を3つとインダクタを1つ備えた場合について説明する。可変整合回路21の一例を図2に示す。
図2において、221は第3の可変容量素子、222は第1の可変容量素子、223は第2の可変容量素子で、23はインダクタである。なお、可変容量素子として可変容量ダイオードを用いても良い。
第3の可変容量素子221は、端子2211と端子2212を有し、第1の可変容量素子222は端子2221と端子2222を有し、第2の可変容量素子223は端子2231と端子2232を有し、インダクタ素子23は端子2301と端子2302を有する。なお、端子2212はグラウンドに接続される。
第3の可変容量素子221の端子2211と第1の可変容量素子222の端子2221が接続され、第3の可変容量素子221の端子2212と第2の可変容量素子223の端子2231が接続され、第1の可変容量素子222の端子2222とインダクタ素子23の端子2301が接続され、第2の可変容量素子223の端子2232とインダクタ素子23の端子2302が接続される。
次に可変整合回路21の動作について説明する。
可変整合回路21は、制御部41から送られてくる制御信号に従い、第3の可変容量素子221、第1の可変容量素子222、第2の可変容量素子223の値を制御する。

直交検波回路31は、2つの入力端子(第1の入力端子3101、第2の入力端子3102)と2つの出力端子(第1の出力端子3103、第2の出力端子3104)を有し、第2の入力端子3102に入力された信号を、第1の入力端子3101に入力されたローカル信号により、直交検波し、I(In Phase)信号を出力端子3103から出力し、I信号と90度位相の異なるQ(Quadrature)信号を出力端子3104に出力する。直交検波回路31の一例を図3に示す。
図3において、321は第1の分配回路、322は第2の分配回路、331は第1のミキサ、332は第2のミキサ、34は(入力された信号の位相を90度移相する)90度移相器である。
分配回路321は、3つの端子3101、3211、3212を有する高周波回路で、端子3101に入力された信号は、2分配して端子3211、3212へ検波信号として出力する。また、端子3211と端子3212は、互いにアイソレーションが取れているので、端子3211に信号が入力された場合は端子3212には信号は出力せず、端子3101からのみ信号が出力される。
同様に、分配回路322は、3つの端子3102、3221、3222を有する高周波回路で、端子3102に入力された信号は、2分配して端子3221、3222へ出力する。また、端子3221と端子3222は互いにアイソレーションが取れているので、端子3221に信号が入力された場合は端子3222には信号は出力せず、端子3102からのみ信号が出力される。
分配回路321と分配回路322は、出力端子間のアイソレーションが取れていればよいので、ウィルキンソン型分配器やアイソレーション端子が終端抵抗に接続された方向性結合器を用いてもよい。

第1のミキサ331は、3つの端子3311、3312と3313を有し、入力端子3311と入力端子3312から入力された信号を乗算し、出力端子3313から信号を出力する。
同様に、第2のミキサ332は、3つの端子3321~3323を有し、入力端子3321と入力端子3322から入力された信号を乗算し、出力端子3323から信号を出力する。
同様に、第2のミキサ332は、3つの端子3321~3323を有し、入力端子3321と入力端子3322から入力された信号を乗算し、出力端子3323から信号を出力する。
90度移相器34は、2つの端子3401、3402を有し、入力端子3401から入力された信号の位相を90度移相した信号を出力端子3402から出力する。
以上のように、第1のミキサ331の端子3313から出力された信号、第2のミキサ332の端子3323から出力された信号をそれぞれI信号とQ信号として出力する。
第1の分配回路321の端子3211と第1のミキサ331の端子3311とが接続され、第2の分配回路322の端子3221と第1のミキサ331の端子3312とが接続される。
第1の分配回路321の端子3212と90度移相器34の端子3401とが接続され、第2の分配回路322の端子3222と第2のミキサの端子3321とが接続され、90度移相器34の端子3402と第2のミキサの端子3322とが接続される。
ここで、第1のミキサ331の端子3313と制御部41との間、および、第2のミキサの端子3323と制御部41との間にLPF(Low Pass Filter:低域通過フィルタ)が設置されていてもよい。
次に、直交検波回路31の動作について説明する。
本実施の形態において、第1の分配回路321の端子3101からローカル信号として入力された信号は、端子3211と3212に2分配される。また、第2の分配回路322の端子3102から人体によって反射された反射波の信号として入力された信号は、端子3221と3222に2分配される。

第1の分配回路321の出力端子3211から出力された信号は、第1のミキサ331の入力端子3311に入力され、第2の分配回路322の端子3221から出力された信号は、第1のミキサ331の入力端子3312に入力される。
入力端子3311に入力された信号と入力端子3312に入力された信号は、第1のミキサ331で乗算され、出力端子3313から出力される。

第1の分配回路321の出力端子3212から出力された信号は、90度移相器34の入力端子3401へ入力される。

以上のように、直交検波回路31の端子3102に入力された人体からの反射信号は、端子3101に入力されたローカル信号により直交検波され、位相が互いに90度異なるI信号、Q信号を直交検波回路31の端子3103、3104からそれぞれ出力する。I信号、Q信号は振幅等の情報として、制御部41に入力される。
制御部41は、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号およびQ信号の2波を入力として受け取り、I信号とQ信号の値を記録する。
さらに制御部41では、予め定められた一定の微小な時間(T)の間に入力されたI信号とQ信号の平均値を算出し、I信号とQ信号の時間平均値の絶対値が小さい、ある閾値以下となるよう可変整合回路21に対し制御信号を出力する。
時間(T)は、少なくとも心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分の時間が必要である。なお、心拍および呼吸波形は、測定対象である人体の性別や年齢、どのような精神状態なのか、等により、大きく変動するため、なるべく大きめの数値を用いることが望ましい。
制御部41のハードウェア構成の具体例を概略的に示すブロック図を図4に示す。
さらに制御部41では、予め定められた一定の微小な時間(T)の間に入力されたI信号とQ信号の平均値を算出し、I信号とQ信号の時間平均値の絶対値が小さい、ある閾値以下となるよう可変整合回路21に対し制御信号を出力する。
時間(T)は、少なくとも心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分の時間が必要である。なお、心拍および呼吸波形は、測定対象である人体の性別や年齢、どのような精神状態なのか、等により、大きく変動するため、なるべく大きめの数値を用いることが望ましい。
制御部41のハードウェア構成の具体例を概略的に示すブロック図を図4に示す。
図4に示されるように、制御部41は、直交検波回路31から出力されるアナログ信号であるI信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換するアナログデジタル変換器420と、I信号とQ信号の値を記憶する記憶装置412と、I信号とQ信号から可変整合回路の制御を行うプロセッサ411と、デジタルデータをアナログ信号に変換するデジタルアナログ変換器430を有する。
記憶装置412は、ROM(Read Only Memory)やRAM(Random Access Memory)などのメモリや、ハードディスクなどの外部記憶装置の総称であり、プロセッサ411によってプログラムやデータの読み書きが行われ、また、一時データの格納先としても使用される。また、記憶装置412は、直交検波回路31から制御部41に対して出力されるI信号とQ信号の読み書きも行われる。さらに、可変整合回路21の整合を行うプログラム(制御プログラム)も記憶装置412に格納される。
アナログデジタル変換器420は、直交検波回路31から出力されるアナログ信号をプロセッサ411が制御できるデジタルデータに変換するものである。
デジタルアナログ変換器430は、プロセッサ411が演算した結果のデジタルデータを可変整合回路21が受け取れるアナログ信号に変換するものである。
なお、アナログデジタル変換器420とデジタルアナログ変換器430は専用の処理を行うハードウェアを用いても良いし、同処理を行うプログラムを用いても良い。
デジタルアナログ変換器430は、プロセッサ411が演算した結果のデジタルデータを可変整合回路21が受け取れるアナログ信号に変換するものである。
なお、アナログデジタル変換器420とデジタルアナログ変換器430は専用の処理を行うハードウェアを用いても良いし、同処理を行うプログラムを用いても良い。
プロセッサ411が実行する制御プログラムの動作について図5を用いて説明する。
図5は、制御部41で動作する整合プログラムの処理フローの一例である。
制御プログラムは、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を受け取ると、アナログデジタル変換器420で、I信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換する(S101)。
次に制御プログラムは、デジタル信号に変換したI信号とQ信号の値を、記憶装置412に記憶する(S102)。
図5は、制御部41で動作する整合プログラムの処理フローの一例である。
制御プログラムは、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を受け取ると、アナログデジタル変換器420で、I信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換する(S101)。
次に制御プログラムは、デジタル信号に変換したI信号とQ信号の値を、記憶装置412に記憶する(S102)。
制御プログラムは、予め設定しておいた時間(T)が経過したか判断する(S103)。
その結果、時間(T)がまだ経過していない場合(S103:NO)には、S101の処理に戻り、時間(T)が経過した場合(S103:YES)には、現在の時刻から時間(T)遡った間、記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の値の平均値を計算する(S104)。

次に制御プログラムは、この平均値と、予め設定しておいた閾値と比較を行い(S105)、平均値が閾値よりも小さかった場合(S105:YES)には、S101の処理に戻り、平均値が閾値以上だった場合(S105:NO)には、可変整合回路21の端子2102に接続される負荷インピーダンスを端子2101に接続される回路のインピーダンスに整合するよう、調整値の計算を行う。(S106)。
そして、最後に制御プログラムは、可変整合回路21へ調整値を出力する(S107)。

以後、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を再度受け取るたびにS101の処理を繰り返す。
なお、本実施の形態では、時間平均の取り方として、ある測定時間をT秒間とし、I信号とQ信号の全時間平均を取る方法としたが、このほかに、T秒間を更に細かい区間に区切り、その区間で波形を加重平均する方法でもよい。

例えば、T秒間中S秒(S≦T)までの時間平均をA(S)とすると、A(S)をT-u≦S≦T(u≦T)の間で平均化し、I信号、Q信号の時間平均値の絶対値が十分小さいある閾値以下になるか判定する。
閾値は、実際に測定を行う環境のノイズの影響によって決定する。例えば、周囲のノイズの数値を幾つか測定しておき、その最大値としても良いし、標準偏差を求めた値、もしくは最大値と平均値あるいは最頻値から、適宜適切な値を求めても良い。また、閾値は固定とせず、状況に応じて変化できるよう、例えば、一定間隔でノイズの測定を行い、再設定できるようにしてもよい。
これにより、Sに対するA(S)の変動が小さくなるため平均値を取る際の誤差が小さくなる。
また、可変整合回路21の端子2102に接続される負荷インピーダンスを端子2101に接続される回路のインピーダンスに整合するよう、調整値の計算を行うには、以下のような方法が考えられる。
まず、可変整合回路21のZ特性インピーダンス(Z0)が50Ωとなるよう、制御部41に入力されたI信号とQ信号の値と、可変整合回路21の可変容量素子221~223の値から、計算し、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の絶対値が閾値を下回るよう可変容量素子221~223の容量を調整する方法が考えられる。
閾値は、実際に測定を行う環境のノイズの影響によって決定する。例えば、周囲のノイズの数値を幾つか測定しておき、その最大値としても良いし、標準偏差を求めた値、もしくは最大値と平均値あるいは最頻値から、適宜適切な値を求めても良い。また、閾値は固定とせず、状況に応じて変化できるよう、例えば、一定間隔でノイズの測定を行い、再設定できるようにしてもよい。
これにより、Sに対するA(S)の変動が小さくなるため平均値を取る際の誤差が小さくなる。
また、可変整合回路21の端子2102に接続される負荷インピーダンスを端子2101に接続される回路のインピーダンスに整合するよう、調整値の計算を行うには、以下のような方法が考えられる。
まず、可変整合回路21のZ特性インピーダンス(Z0)が50Ωとなるよう、制御部41に入力されたI信号とQ信号の値と、可変整合回路21の可変容量素子221~223の値から、計算し、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の絶対値が閾値を下回るよう可変容量素子221~223の容量を調整する方法が考えられる。
また、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の絶対値が閾値を下回るように可変容量素子221~223の値を掃引することで各可変容量素子の容量値を調整してもよい。
例えば、第1の可変容量素子222の値をC1とし、第2の可変容量素子223の値をC2とする。そして、C1とC2それぞれの容量値が、a1≦C1≦a2、b1≦C2≦b2の間の値をとるとした場合、まず、最初にC1の値をa1に固定し、C2の値をb1からb2の間で順に変化させ、そのC1とC2の値を組み合わせた状態の可変整合回路で、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の全体値が、閾値を下回るか判断する。
例えば、第1の可変容量素子222の値をC1とし、第2の可変容量素子223の値をC2とする。そして、C1とC2それぞれの容量値が、a1≦C1≦a2、b1≦C2≦b2の間の値をとるとした場合、まず、最初にC1の値をa1に固定し、C2の値をb1からb2の間で順に変化させ、そのC1とC2の値を組み合わせた状態の可変整合回路で、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の全体値が、閾値を下回るか判断する。
C2がb1からb2の間の全ての値を用いても下回らなかった場合、C1の値を変え、再度C2の値をb1からb2まで変化させ、そのC1とC2の値を組み合わせた状態の可変整合回路で、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の全体値が閾値を下回るか判断する。
更に、制御部41が受け取るI信号の値とQ信号の値とその平均値から、C1とC2の取りうる容量値として適切な値が格納されたテーブルを予め用意しておく方法が考えられる。

制御部41は、I信号とQ信号の値を受け取ると、このテーブルを参照し、テーブルが指し示すC1とC2が設定されるべき容量値を用いることにより、I信号とQ信号の時間平均の絶対値が閾値を下回るよう可変整合回路21の可変素子の値を短時間で調整することが可能となる。
分配回路51は、3つの端子5101~5103を有する高周波回路で、端子5101に信号が入力された場合は端子5102、5103に信号を2分配して出力する。
また、端子5102と端子5103は、互いにアイソレーションが取れているので、端子5102に信号が入力された場合は端子5103には信号は出力せず、端子5101からのみ信号が出力される。
また、端子5102と端子5103は、互いにアイソレーションが取れているので、端子5102に信号が入力された場合は端子5103には信号は出力せず、端子5101からのみ信号が出力される。
分配回路51と同様に、分配回路52も、3つの端子5201~5203を有する高周波回路で、端子5203に信号が入力された場合は端子5202、5201に信号を2分配して出力する。
また、端子5202と端子5201は互いにアイソレーションが取れているので、端子5201に信号が入力された場合は端子5202には信号は出力せず、端子5203からのみ信号が出力される。
また、端子5202と端子5201は互いにアイソレーションが取れているので、端子5201に信号が入力された場合は端子5202には信号は出力せず、端子5203からのみ信号が出力される。
なお、分配回路51と分配回路52は、出力端子間のアイソレーションが取れていればよいので、ウィルキンソン型分配器やアイソレーション端子が終端抵抗に接続された方向性結合器を用いることが考えられる。
信号発生部11の出力端子1101と第1の分配回路51の端子5101とが接続され、第1の分配回路51の端子5102と第2の分配回路52の端子5201とが接続され、第1の分配回路51の端子5103と直交検波回路31の端子3101とが接続され、第2の分配回路52の端子5202が直交検波回路31の端子3102とが接続され、第2の分配回路52の端子5203と可変整合回路21の端子2101が接続され、可変整合回路の端子2102とアンテナ1とが接続される。
次に、本実施の形態における生体センサ装置の全体の動作について説明する。まず、信号発生部11の出力端子1101から出力される周波数の信号が、第1の分配回路51の端子5101に入力され、端子5102と端子5103に信号が2分配される。
ここで、信号の通過する経路aを、端子5102→端子5201→分配回路52→端子5203→端子2101→可変整合回路21→2102の経路とする。
また、信号の通過する経路bを、端子2102→可変整合回路21→端子2101→端子5203→分配回路52→端子5202→端子3102の経路とする。

第1の分配回路51の端子5102から出力された信号は、経路aを通りアンテナ1へ入力され、第1の分配回路51の端子5103から出力された信号は、直交検波回路31の端子3101から直交検波回路31にローカル信号として入力される。
経路aを通過した信号は、アンテナ1から電波として放射され、人体によって反射された反射波の信号がアンテナ1に入力し、経路bを通り直交検波回路31の端子3102から直交検波回路31に入力される。
直交検波回路31の端子3102に入力された人体からの反射信号は、端子3101に入力されたローカル信号により直交検波され、位相が互いに90度異なるI信号、Q信号として、直交検波回路31の端子3103、3104からそれぞれ出力する。
I信号、Q信号は制御部41に入力される。

制御部41では、入力されたI信号とQ信号の2波をある時間測定し、I信号、Q信号の時間平均を算出する。両信号の時間平均値の絶対値が十分小さい、ある閾値以下となるか判定を行う。

以上のように、アンテナから放射した電波の信号と、人体によって反射された反射波の信号を直交検波して求めたI信号、Q信号の時間平均値の絶対値を十分小さくし、0に近づけるほど、アンテナのインピーダンスの不整合損が低減され、センサ感度を向上させることができる。
また、生体センサ装置が作動中、常に制御部41を実施することにより、人体等の設置周囲環境が変化しても常時心拍に対してセンシング感度の高い状態で測定を行うことが可能となる。
本実施の形態で用いた生体センサ装置で、実際に測定した被測定者の心拍および呼吸波形を取得した場合の波形を図6に示す。
また、比較対象として、可変整合回路を持たず自由空間でアンテナのインピーダンスを整合させた生体センサ装置を用いて心拍および呼吸波形を取得した場合の波形を図7に示す。どちらの図にも、被測定者の正しい心拍および呼吸波形(リファレンス波形)として、接触型光電脈波計を用いた結果を波線で表示している。
本実施の形態で用いた生体センサ装置で、実際に測定した被測定者の心拍および呼吸波形を取得した場合の波形を図6に示す。

図6、図7はともに、得られたI信号、Q信号の振幅を計算し、その振幅の最大値からの変位量を描画したものである。
図6は、上述した構成の生体センサ装置を使用した心拍および呼吸波形であり、リファレンス波形とピークの位置が一致していることが確認できる。これに対し、図7は、可変整合回路を持たない生体センサ装置を使用した心拍および呼吸波形であり、図6と比べ心拍および呼吸波形の振幅は小さく、また、リファレンスとは異なった挙動を示すことが確認できる。
心拍波形のピークが正確に検知されれば、被測定者の心拍間隔の変動値を精度よく測定することができ、体調および健康状態の推定等に幅広く応用できる。
なお、本実施の形態では、制御部41において、予め設定しておいた時間(T)が経過したかで判断を行い、時間(T)が経過した場合には、現在の時刻から時間(T)遡った間、記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の値の平均値を計算する場合について説明したが、時間(T)が経過したか判断するのではなく、制御部41がI信号とQ信号の値を受け取った回数を予め設定しておき、制御部41において、その回数だけI信号とQ信号の値を受けった場合には、予め設定しておいた回数分のI信号とQ信号の値から平均値を計算するようにしてもよい。
なお、本実施の形態では、制御部41において、予め設定しておいた時間(T)が経過したかで判断を行い、時間(T)が経過した場合には、現在の時刻から時間(T)遡った間、記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の値の平均値を計算する場合について説明したが、時間(T)が経過したか判断するのではなく、制御部41がI信号とQ信号の値を受け取った回数を予め設定しておき、制御部41において、その回数だけI信号とQ信号の値を受けった場合には、予め設定しておいた回数分のI信号とQ信号の値から平均値を計算するようにしてもよい。
また、計算したI信号とQ信号の値の平均値が閾値を越えたか越えなかったかの結果を毎回記憶しておき、その結果に応じて、時間(T)もしくは、回数を変更してもよい。例えば、I信号とQ信号の値の平均値が閾値を越えなかった状態が例えば3回連続した場合、時間(T)もしくは回数を増やし、逆に例えば3回連続してI信号とQ信号の値の平均値が閾値を越えた場合には、時間(T)もしくは回数を減らすようにしてもよい。
このように、時間(T)もしくは回数を増減させることにより、制御部の動作を効率的に行うことが可能となる。

また、本実施の形態では、可変整合回路21として、図2に示すような、3つの可変容量素子と1つのインダクタを備えた場合について説明したが、可変整合回路21の構成はこれに限られるものではない。
可変整合回路21は、図8、図9、図10、図11、図12に示すような構成であってもよい。

以上のように、生体センサ装置をアンテナ1と、信号発生部11と、可変整合回路21と、直交検波回路31と、制御部41と、分配回路51、52とで構成し、制御部41において、I信号とQ信号の時間平均値の絶対値がある閾値以下になるように、可変整合回路21を制御することで設置周囲環境の変化に適応した、検知精度の高い、簡易な構成の生体センサ装置が得られるという効果を有する。

実施の形態1では、分配器を用いた生体センサ装置について説明したが、本実施の形態では、分配器の代わりに方向性結合器を用いた場合について説明する。

アンテナ1から放射された信号は、人体で反射され、反射信号としてアンテナ1に入力される。この反射信号は、可変整合回路21の端子2102へ入力され、端子2101から出力され、方向性結合器61の端子6103に入力される。
この端子6103に入力された反射信号の一部が、端子6102から出力され、直交検波回路31の端子3102に入力される。

変換係数4121の求め方を説明する。変換係数4121を決定するときには、アンテナ1を心臓近傍等に設置するのではなく、アンテナ1の周囲に動くもののない、I信号、Q信号が時間的にほとんど変動しない環境で行う。

反射係数Γmと対応する心拍波形信号Vrは、たとえば、VSWRが2~5程度となる、互いが可能な限り離れた2点を用いて(1)式から振幅項と位相項をそれぞれ算出し、平均化したものを変換係数4121とする。VSWRが大きすぎると分配回路52が理想特性からずれ、誤差が大きくなる。また、VSWRが小さいとVI,VQ、S11の測定誤差が大きくなる。したがって、計算に用いる値は、VSWRは2~5程度のものが望ましい。
また、変換係数4121は、反射係数Γmと対応する心拍波形信号Vrを用いて可変整合回路21の設定値ごとにそれぞれ算出してもよいし、反射係数Γmと対応する心拍波形信号Vrを用いて可変整合回路21の設定値ごとに振幅項・位相項をそれぞれ計算し、すべての点の平均値から算出してもよい。
また、変換係数4121は、反射係数Γmと対応する心拍波形信号Vrを用いて可変整合回路21の設定値ごとにそれぞれ算出してもよいし、反射係数Γmと対応する心拍波形信号Vrを用いて可変整合回路21の設定値ごとに振幅項・位相項をそれぞれ計算し、すべての点の平均値から算出してもよい。
(1)式から求めた変換係数4121を記憶装置412に予め備えることで、図1の構成のみで、ほかに特別な測定機器がない環境であっても、心拍波形の検知信号I信号、Q信号に変換係数4121(=Aejθ)を乗算することで、対応する可変整合回路21の端子2101からみたアンテナの反射係数Γmを求めることが可能となる。
図17におけるプロセッサ411が実行する制御プログラムの動作について図18を用いて説明する。
図18は、制御部41で動作する整合プログラムの処理フローの一例である。
制御プログラムは、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を受け取ると、アナログデジタル変換器420で、I信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換する(S101)。
次に制御プログラムは、デジタル信号に変換したI信号とQ信号の値を、記憶装置412に記憶する(S102)。
図18は、制御部41で動作する整合プログラムの処理フローの一例である。
制御プログラムは、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を受け取ると、アナログデジタル変換器420で、I信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換する(S101)。
次に制御プログラムは、デジタル信号に変換したI信号とQ信号の値を、記憶装置412に記憶する(S102)。
制御プログラムは、予め設定しておいた時間(T)が経過したか判断する(S103)。
その結果、時間(T)がまだ経過していない場合(S103:NO)には、S101の処理に戻り、時間(T)が経過した場合(S103:YES)には、現在の時刻から時間(T)遡った間、記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の値の平均値を計算する(S104)。

次に制御プログラムは、この平均値と、予め設定しておいた閾値と比較を行い(S105)、平均値が閾値よりも小さかった場合(S105:YES)には、S101の処理に戻り、平均値が閾値以上だった場合(S105:NO)には、記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の値に変換係数4121(=Aejθ)を乗算することで、可変整合回路21の端子2101からみたアンテナ1の反射係数Γmを算出する(S1061)。算出した反射係数Γmを用いて、可変整合回路21の端子2101からみたアンテナ1側のインピーダンスが端子2101に接続される回路のインピーダンス(50Ω)になるよう、整合回路部21の調整値の計算を行う(S106)。
そして、最後に制御プログラムは、可変整合回路21へ調整値を出力する(S107)。

変換係数4121を導入することで、図1の構成のみで、ほかに特別な測定機器がない環境であっても、直交検波回路31の検波信号から、可変整合回路21の端子2101からみたアンテナの反射係数Γmを求められることで、可変整合回路21の調整値を正確に設定することが可能となり、検知精度の高い、簡易な構成の生体センサ装置が得られるという効果を有する。
実施の形態7
本実施の形態では実施の形態6において可変整合回路21の一例を用いて、制御部41で可変整合回路21を調整する場合を説明する。
図19に、本実施の形態で説明する可変整合回路21の構成を示し、図20に、図19の等価回路を示す。
また、図21に、本実施の形態で説明する制御フローの一例を示す。
本実施の形態では実施の形態6において可変整合回路21の一例を用いて、制御部41で可変整合回路21を調整する場合を説明する。
図19に、本実施の形態で説明する可変整合回路21の構成を示し、図20に、図19の等価回路を示す。
また、図21に、本実施の形態で説明する制御フローの一例を示す。
図19は、実施の形態1の図10において、第2、第3の可変素子の端子2222と端子2232とをアンテナ1の端子2102と接続したものである。端子2102と接続するアンテナ1をアンテナ1の負荷インピーダンスZaとして示した。
図20は、図19の等価回路を示している。図19で示す回路を構成するとき、実際には図20に示すように第1、第2、第3の可変容量素子222、223、221には寄生抵抗が存在する。そのため、第1、第2、第3の可変容量素子222、223、221の値を正確に算出する際には考慮する必要がある。ここで、寄生抵抗は第1、第2、第3の可変容量素子222、223、221に直列に接続すると考える。
224は第3の可変容量素子221に接続する第3の寄生抵抗、225は第1の可変容量素子222に接続する第1の寄生抵抗、226は第2の可変容量素子223に接続する第2の寄生抵抗である。
224は第3の可変容量素子221に接続する第3の寄生抵抗、225は第1の可変容量素子222に接続する第1の寄生抵抗、226は第2の可変容量素子223に接続する第2の寄生抵抗である。
第3の寄生抵抗224は、端子2241と端子2242を有し、第1の寄生抵抗225は端子2251と端子2252を有し、第2の寄生抵抗226は端子2261と端子2262を有する。なお、端子2242はグラウンドに接続される。
第3の寄生抵抗224の端子2241と第3の可変容量素子221の端子2212が接続され、第3の寄生抵抗224の端子2242と第2の可変容量素子223の端子2231が接続され、第1の寄生抵抗225の端子2251と第1の可変容量素子222の端子2222とが接続され、第2の寄生抵抗226の端子2261と第2の可変容量素子223の端子2232が接続され、第1の寄生抵抗225の端子2252と第2の寄生抵抗226の端子2262とがアンテナ1の端子2102に接続される。なお、第1の可変容量素子222および第2の可変容量素子223の可変容量値をC1、第3の可変容量素子221の可変容量値をC2、第1の寄生抵抗225および第2の寄生抵抗226の抵抗値をR1、第3の寄生抵抗224の抵抗値をR2とする。
本実施の形態において、図17のプロセッサ411が実行する制御プログラムの動作について図21を用いて説明する。
制御プログラムは、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を受け取ると、アナログデジタル変換器420で、I信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換する(S101)。
次に制御プログラムは、デジタル信号に変換したI信号とQ信号の値を、記憶装置412に記憶する(S102)。
制御プログラムは、直交検波回路31から出力されたI信号とQ信号を受け取ると、アナログデジタル変換器420で、I信号とQ信号をデジタル信号に変換する(S101)。
次に制御プログラムは、デジタル信号に変換したI信号とQ信号の値を、記憶装置412に記憶する(S102)。
制御プログラムは、予め設定しておいた時間(T)が経過したか判断する(S103)。
その結果、時間(T)がまだ経過していない場合(S103:NO)には、S101の処理に戻り、時間(T)が経過した場合(S103:YES)には、現在の時刻から時間(T)遡った間、記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の値の平均値を計算する(S104)。

次に制御プログラムは、この平均値と、予め設定しておいた閾値と比較を行い(S105)、平均値が閾値よりも小さかった場合(S105:YES)には、S101の処理に戻り、平均値が閾値以上だった場合(S105:NO)には、可変整合回路部21の調整値の計算を実施する(S1061~S1063)。そして、最後に制御プログラムは、可変整合回路21へ調整値を出力する(S107)。
図19の等価回路である図20を用いて制御プログラムの可変整合回路部21の調整値の計算を実施する(S1061~S1063)について具体的に説明する。
まず、はじめに、制御プログラムのサブルーチンS1061での計算について説明する。
記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の時間平均値をそれぞれVI、VQ、心拍波形信号Vr=VI-jVQとすると、心拍波形信号Vrに変換係数4121(=Aejθ)を乗算することで、可変整合回路21の参照面t1からみたアンテナ1の反射係数Γmを算出する。
まず、はじめに、制御プログラムのサブルーチンS1061での計算について説明する。
記憶装置412に記憶させておいたI信号とQ信号の時間平均値をそれぞれVI、VQ、心拍波形信号Vr=VI-jVQとすると、心拍波形信号Vrに変換係数4121(=Aejθ)を乗算することで、可変整合回路21の参照面t1からみたアンテナ1の反射係数Γmを算出する。
続いて、サブルーチンS1062での計算について説明する。
S1061で算出した反射係数Γmから、可変整合回路21の参照面t1からみたアンテナ1のインピーダンスZ=R+jXを計算し、このインピーダンスZと現在の可変整合回路21の回路定数と、信号発生部11から発生する信号の周波数をωとを用いて、端子2102に接続するアンテナのインピーダンスをZa=Ra+jXaを計算する。
S1061で算出した反射係数Γmから、可変整合回路21の参照面t1からみたアンテナ1のインピーダンスZ=R+jXを計算し、このインピーダンスZと現在の可変整合回路21の回路定数と、信号発生部11から発生する信号の周波数をωとを用いて、端子2102に接続するアンテナのインピーダンスをZa=Ra+jXaを計算する。
S1062における具体的な計算は、図20に示す、参照面t1および参照面t2からみたアンテナ1のインピーダンスについて連立方程式を解くことで算出する。
アンテナ1のインピーダンスZa=Ra+jXaの実部と虚部はそれぞれ(3)、(4)式となる。
アンテナ1のインピーダンスZa=Ra+jXaの実部と虚部はそれぞれ(3)、(4)式となる。
続いて、サブルーチンS1063での計算について説明する。
サブルーチンS1062で求めたアンテナ1のインピーダンスZaと、参照面t1からみたアンテナ1の反射係数Γmが0になる条件(Z=R0=50Ω)から可変整合回路21の各容量値を計算し、それぞれ(5)、(6)式となる。
(5)、(6)式を用いて、可変容量値C1、C2を調整することでΓmを低減することができる。
サブルーチンS1062で求めたアンテナ1のインピーダンスZaと、参照面t1からみたアンテナ1の反射係数Γmが0になる条件(Z=R0=50Ω)から可変整合回路21の各容量値を計算し、それぞれ(5)、(6)式となる。
(5)、(6)式を用いて、可変容量値C1、C2を調整することでΓmを低減することができる。
そして、最後に制御プログラムは、可変整合回路21へ調整値を出力する(S107)。
たとえば可変素子が可変容量ダイオードであるとき、調整値は、予め制御部41に可変容量ダイオードとその容量値とする印加電圧のテーブルを備え、算出された容量値からテーブルの情報により調整値となる印加電圧値を可変整合回路21に指示しても良い。

可変整合回路部21の調整値の計算を実施する(S1061~S1063)ことで、可変整合回路21の調整値を正確に設定することが可能となり、検知精度の高い、簡易な構成の生体センサ装置が得られるという効果を有する。
なお、本願発明はその発明の範囲内において、各実施の形態の自由な組み合わせ、あるいは各実施の形態の任意の構成要素の変形、もしくは各実施の形態において任意の構成要素の省略が可能である。
この発明に係る生体センサ装置は、連続波信号を生成する信号発生部と、前記連続波信号を電波として放射するアンテナと、前記信号発生部と前記アンテナのインピーダンスの整合を取る可変整合回路と、前記連続波信号と前記アンテナに入射した電波の反射信号に基づき、検波信号を出力する検波回路と、前記検波信号に基づき、心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の前記検波信号から、前記可変整合回路の素子値を制御する制御部とを備え、人体等の設置周囲条件によって変化する生体センサ用アンテナの入力インピーダンスを適応的に制御することができ、心拍および呼吸波形を非接触で電波を用いて取得する生体センサ装置に適している。

Claims (8)
- 連続波信号を生成する信号発生部と、
前記連続波信号を電波として放射するアンテナと、
前記信号発生部と前記アンテナのインピーダンスの整合を取る可変整合回路と、
前記連続波信号と前記アンテナに入射した電波の反射信号に基づき、検波信号を出力する検波回路と、
前記検波信号に基づき、心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の前記検波信号から、前記可変整合回路の素子値を制御する制御部と
を備えたことを特徴とする生体センサ装置。 - 前記検波回路は、前記連続波信号と前記反射信号を乗算する第1のミキサを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の生体センサ装置。
- 前記検波回路は、前記連続波信号と前記反射信号を乗算する第1のミキサと、
前記連続波信号の位相を90度変換する移相器と、
前記移相器の出力と前記反射信号を乗算する第2のミキサと、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の生体センサ装置。 - 前記可変整合回路は、
前記信号発生部と接続する第1の端子、
前記アンテナと接続する第2の端子、第3の端子、
グラウンドと接続する第4の端子とを備え、
前記第1の端子と前記第2の端子との間に接続された第1の容量素子と、
前記第3の端子と前記第4の端子との間に接続された第2の容量素子と、
前記第1の端子と前記第4の端子との間に接続された第3の容量素子と、
を備え、前記第1の容量素子、第2の容量素子及び第3の容量素子のうち少なくとも一つの素子の容量を可変とすることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の生体センサ装置。 - 前記第2の端子と前記第4の端子との間に接続されたインダクタ素子を備えたことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の生体センサ装置。
- 前記制御部は、振幅・位相情報を備えた複素数の変換係数を予め備え、
前記検波信号は、前記検波回路の前記第1のミキサから出力されるI信号、前記第2のミキサから出力されるQ信号とし、
前記変換係数は、心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の前記検波信号I、Qの2信号の時間平均値をそれぞれVI、VQ、心拍波形信号をVr=VI-jVQとし、
前記可変整合回路と前記アンテナを含む反射係数をΓmとするとき、
前記反射係数Γmを前記心拍波形信号Vrで除算したΓm/ Vrによって算出されることを特徴とした請求項3に記載の生体センサ装置。 - 前記制御部は、
心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の前記検波信号の時間平均に、
複素数で与えられる前記変換係数を乗算することで求められる前記可変整合回路と前記アンテナを含む反射係数Γmと、
前記可変整合回路の回路定数と、で算出された前記アンテナの負荷インピーダンスとを用いて、
前記可変整合回路と前記アンテナを含む反射係数が低減するように、前記可変整合回路の回路定数値を調整することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の生体センサ装置。 - 前記可変整合回路は、
前記信号発生部と接続する第1の端子、
前記アンテナと接続する第2の端子、第3の端子、
グラウンドと接続する第4の端子とを備え、
前記第1の端子と前記第2の端子との間に接続された第1の可変容量素子と、
前記第3の端子と前記第4の端子との間に接続された第2の可変容量素子と、
前記第1の端子と前記第4の端子との間に接続された第3の可変容量素子と、
を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記検波信号に基づき、心拍および呼吸波形が測定できる一周期分以上の時間となる所定の期間の前記検波信号の時間平均に、
前記変換係数を乗算することで求められる前記可変整合回路と前記アンテナを含む反射係数Γmと、
前記可変整合回路の回路定数と、
を用いて前記アンテナの負荷インピーダンスZaを算出し、
前記アンテナの負荷インピーダンスZaのとき、前記可変整合回路と前記アンテナのインピーダンスを含む反射係数Γmが0になる条件(50Ω)を用いて、
前記可変整合回路の調整値を、
前記第1の可変容量素子および前記第2の可変容量素子の容量値をC1、
前記第1の可変容量素子および前記第2の可変容量素子に寄生する直列抵抗の値をR1、
前記第3の可変容量素子の容量値をC2、
前記第3の可変容量素子に寄生する直列抵抗の値をR2、
前記連続波信号を生成する信号発生部から発生する信号の周波数をωとするとき、
となるように設定することを特徴とした請求項6に記載の生体センサ装置。
