- the compressors 2A and 2B, the condenser 3, the expansion valve 4, and the evaporator 5 are connected to form a refrigerant circuit.
- two compressors 2A and 2B are connected in parallel. However, if a plurality of compressors are connected in parallel, the number of compressors is three or more. You may. A configuration may be adopted in which a plurality of compressors connected in series are connected in parallel with a plurality of compressors connected in series. In the present embodiment, one bypass pipe 6 is provided for the two compressors 2A and 2B, but a configuration in which the bypass pipe 6 is provided for each of the compressors 2A and 2B may be adopted.
- the compressors 2A and 2B compress the refrigerant and discharge the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant.
- Vane 9A, 9B is provided in the suction side of compressor 2A, 2B, respectively.
- the vanes 9 ⁇ / b> A and 9 ⁇ / b> B are controlled by the control device 8 and adjust the amount of refrigerant air flowing from the evaporator 5 to the compressor 2.
- Each of the compressors 2A and 2B is connected to an electric motor (not shown), and is driven by each electric motor.
- the control device 8 controls the number of rotations of the compressors 2A and 2B (number of rotations of the electric motors) by controlling the current of each electric motor, and supplies the refrigerant according to the load to the refrigerant circuit.
- the compressor 2 may be referred to as the compressor 2.
- the vanes 9A and 9B may be described as the vane 9.
- the current of the motor driving the compressor 2A is a current value Ia
- the current of the motor driving the compressor 2B is a current value Ib.
- the refrigerant discharged from the compressors 2A and 2B is supplied to the condenser 3.
- the condenser 3 condenses the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant.
- a pipe 11 is connected to the condenser 3, and cooling water is supplied to the pipe 11 from a cooling tower or the like.
- the refrigerant exchanges heat with the cooling water flowing through the pipe 11.
- the refrigerant condenses by radiating heat to the cooling water.
- the refrigerant condensed by the condenser 3 is decompressed by the expansion valve 4.
- the reduced-pressure low-pressure refrigerant is supplied to the evaporator 5.
- the evaporator 5 evaporates the low-pressure refrigerant.
- a pipe 12 is connected to the evaporator 5, and cold water is supplied to the pipe 12 from the load side.
- the refrigerant exchanges heat with cold water flowing through the pipe 12.
- the refrigerant cools the chilled water supplied to the load side and vaporizes by absorbing heat from the chilled water.
- the vaporized gas-phase refrigerant is sucked into the compressors 2A and 2B, and is compressed again by the compressors 2A and 2B.
- the subsequent flow of the refrigerant is as described above.
- the refrigerant thus circulates through the refrigerant circuit.
- the bypass pipe 6 is a refrigerant pipe connecting the discharge side and the suction side of the compressor 2. Specifically, one end of the bypass pipe 6 is connected to the discharge side of the compressor 2 and the upstream side of the refrigerant flow of the condenser 3, and the other end is provided on the suction side of the compressor 2. Connected to the gas phase portion of the evaporator 5 (the space where the gas phase refrigerant exists). That is, the bypass pipe 6 is formed so as to bypass the flow path of the condenser 3, the expansion valve 4, and the evaporator 5 through which the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 2 flows.
- the bypass pipe 6 is provided with a bypass valve 7 for adjusting the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through the bypass pipe 6.
- the bypass valve 7 is an adjustment valve whose opening can be adjusted, and the control device 8 controls the opening of the bypass valve 7.
- the bypass valve 7 When the bypass valve 7 is opened, the gas-phase refrigerant discharged from the compressor 2 passes through the gas-phase portion of the evaporator 5 via the bypass pipe 6 and is supplied to the suction side of the compressor 2. That is, when the bypass valve 7 is opened and the amount of the refrigerant flowing through the bypass pipe 6 is increased, the amount of the gas-phase refrigerant supplied to the compressor 2 can be increased.
- the bypass pipe 6 is also called a hot gas bypass
- the bypass valve 7 is also called a hot gas bypass valve.
- ⁇ Surging in the compressor 2 occurs due to a decrease in the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through the compressor 2.
- the bypass valve 7 is opened, and the gas-phase refrigerant discharged from the compressor 2 is supplied to the suction side of the compressor 2 via the bypass pipe 6.
- This control is called a surging protection operation.
- the bypass valve 7 will be described as a flow control valve, but the bypass valve 7 may simply be an on-off valve.
- a large difference may occur in the refrigerant air volume between the compressors 2A and 2B.
- the refrigerant air volume of the compressor 2A is sufficiently large and the refrigerant air volume of the compressor 2B is smaller than a predetermined value.
- surging may occur in the compressor 2B having a small refrigerant air flow.
- the difference in the amount of refrigerant air between the compressors 2A and 2B appears as a difference between the current value Ia of the motor driving the compressor 2A and the current value Ib of the motor driving the compressor 2B.
- the current value Ib of the compressor 2B whose air volume has decreased decreases.
- the fact that the difference between the current value Ia and the current value Ib is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold does not necessarily indicate that surging has occurred.
- the liquid level is not always horizontal and uniform, and the liquid level may be uneven or wavy.
- the flow of the gas-phase refrigerant supplied to the compressor 2B grabs the liquid level surface of the evaporator 5, so that the liquid-phase refrigerant is scattered.
- the scattered liquid-phase refrigerant is mixed with the gas-phase refrigerant and carried, and a phenomenon occurs in which more liquid-phase refrigerant is supplied to the compressor 2B than in the compressor 2A.
- suction of droplets from the evaporator 5 occurs.
- the liquid level on the compressor 2A side is relatively low, and it is assumed that the refrigerant supplied to the compressor 2A is mainly a gas-phase refrigerant. Then, in the compressor 2A, no droplet suction occurs and the current value Ia does not increase. As described above, in the parallel refrigerator, droplet suction may occur only in some of the compressors. Even in such a situation, the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib flowing through the electric motors of the compressors 2A and 2B becomes large, and the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib may be equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold. If this phenomenon is determined as surging and a surging protection operation is performed, there is a possibility that the suction of droplets in the compressor 2B will be promoted. The reason will be described below.
- the other end of the bypass pipe 6 is connected to the gas phase side of the evaporator 5.
- the bypass valve 7 is opened by the surging protection operation to guide the gas-phase refrigerant discharged from the compressor 2 to the bypass pipe 6, the amount of refrigerant flowing through the evaporator 5 increases.
- the flow rate of the refrigerant increases, the amount of the liquid-phase refrigerant transported to the compressor 2 together with the gas-phase refrigerant increases.
- the flow rate of the refrigerant passing through the gas phase portion of the evaporator 5 increases, so that the amount of the liquid-phase refrigerant transferred to the compressor 2B also increases, and the suction of droplets is promoted. Since it is desirable for the compressor 2 to suck the gas-phase refrigerant, if the surging protection operation is performed when the suction of droplets occurs, the situation for the compressor 2 will be worsened (increase of the liquid-phase refrigerant).
- control device 8 of the present embodiment determines the operating point of the compressor 2 during operation in addition to the deviation of the current value of the compressor 2 by using a characteristic curve of the compressor 2 (pressure ratio-air volume). By comparing the operation state of the compressor 2 with the curve (curve), it is determined whether surging has occurred or whether droplet suction has occurred.
- ammeter a and ammeter b measure the current values Ia and Ib of the electric motor.
- various sensors (not shown) exemplified below are provided.
- thermometer for measuring the inlet temperature of the cold water flowing through the pipe 12 of the evaporator 5
- thermometer second sensor
- a flow rate for measuring the flow rate of the cold water
- a pressure gauge for measuring the pressure of the refrigerant in the evaporator 5
- a thermometer for measuring the temperature of the refrigerant on the upstream side of the refrigerant flow of the expansion valve 4, and the like.
- FIG. 2 is a block diagram illustrating an example of a control device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the control device 8 is a computer device such as a microcomputer, for example.
- the control device 8 is connected to an ammeter a, an ammeter b, and first to fifth sensors (not shown).
- the control device 8 includes a sensor information acquisition unit 81, an abnormality detection unit 82, a protection control unit 83, a bypass valve control unit 84, an expansion valve control unit 85, a timer 86, a storage unit 87.
- the control device 8 performs various controls related to the refrigerator 1.
- the control device 8 describes an abnormality detection process of the compressor 2 and a function related to control when an abnormality is detected, and a description of other functions is omitted. I do.
- the sensor information acquisition unit 81 acquires a measurement value (sensor information) measured by each sensor from the ammeter a, the ammeter b, and the first to fifth sensors.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 detects an abnormal operation state occurring in the compressors 2A and 2B using the sensor information acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit 81.
- the abnormal operating state is surging and droplet suction.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines the compressors 2A and 2B based on the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib and the operating point of the compressor 2 calculated using the first to fifth sensors. In either case, it is detected that surging or droplet suction has occurred.
- the protection control unit 83 executes control according to the operation state, returns the operation state of the compressor 2 to a normal state, and Control is performed to prevent failure of the device.
- the bypass valve controller 84 adjusts the opening of the bypass valve 7. For example, when the abnormality detection unit 82 detects the occurrence of surging, the bypass valve control unit 84 performs control to open the bypass valve 7 based on an instruction from the protection control unit 83.
- the expansion valve control unit 85 adjusts the opening of the expansion valve 4. For example, when the abnormality detection unit 82 detects the occurrence of the suction of the droplet, the expansion valve control unit 85 performs control to close the expansion valve 4 based on an instruction from the protection control unit 83.
- the timer 86 measures time.
- the storage unit 87 stores various types of information such as the sensor information acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit 81 and a threshold used to determine whether or not the vehicle is in an abnormal operation state. Sometimes.
- the currents Ia and Ib indicate the operating states of the compressors 2A and 2B.
- the compression capacity of the compressor 2 increases, and when the current decreases, the compression capacity of the compressor 2 decreases.
- the compression capacity is low and the current value Ib is low because the flow rate of the refrigerant is small. Therefore, when surging occurs in one of the compressors 2, the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib increases. However, as in the case where a droplet is sucked in the compressor 2B, the deviation may increase as the current value Ib increases.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 detects an abnormal operation state of the compressor 2 using the characteristic curve of the compressor 2 in addition to the current values Ia and Ib.
- FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an abnormality detection process according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the abnormality detection performed by the abnormality detection unit 82 using the characteristic curve of the compressor 2 will be described with reference to FIG.
- FIG. 3 illustrates a characteristic curve L1 of the compression ratio-air volume of the compressor 2.
- the vertical axis of the graph in FIG. 3 is the compression ratio of the compressor 2, and the horizontal axis is the refrigerant air volume.
- the characteristic curve L1 indicates an operating point that is a boundary between surging and droplet suction in the relationship between the compression ratio of the compressor 2 and the refrigerant air volume.
- the characteristic curve L1 is calculated by performing a verification experiment or the like in advance for each compressor 2 and registered in the storage unit 87.
- Surging is an abnormal operation state that occurs when the amount of refrigerant air in the compressor 2 decreases.
- the operating point of the compressor 2 is in a relationship between the compression ratio and the air volume included in the left region of the characteristic curve L1, that is, when the air volume of the refrigerant is small, the possibility of occurrence of surging increases.
- the area on the left side of the characteristic curve L1 is called a surging area.
- Droplet suction is an abnormal operation state that is likely to occur when the refrigerant air volume is large.
- the refrigerant air volume is small, scattering of the liquid-phase refrigerant hardly occurs in the evaporator 5, and since the air volume is small, the liquid-phase refrigerant is also difficult to be carried. Therefore, the amount of the liquid-phase refrigerant sucked into the compressor 2 is also reduced.
- the operating point of the compressor 2 is in a relationship between the compression ratio and the air volume included in the area on the right side of the characteristic curve L1, that is, when the refrigerant air volume is large, there is a high possibility that droplet suction will occur.
- the area on the right side of the characteristic curve L1 is called a droplet suction area.
- the function ⁇ is registered in the storage unit 87.
- the function ⁇ is obtained by inputting the inlet and outlet temperatures of the chilled water cooled by the evaporator 5, the flow rate of the chilled water, the refrigerant pressure of the evaporator 5, and the refrigerant temperature on the upstream side of the expansion valve 4. It is a function that outputs the air volume.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 inputs the sensor information measured by the first sensor to the fifth sensor to the function ⁇ , and acquires the compression ratio of the compressor 2 and the refrigerant airflow output by the function ⁇ .
- the abnormality detector 82 compares the current operating point of the compressor 2 indicated by the compression ratio and the refrigerant flow rate based on the function ⁇ with the characteristic curve L1, and determines whether the operating point of the compressor 2 belongs to the surging region or not. It is determined whether it belongs to the drop suction area.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines whether the abnormality is detected in one of the compressors 2A and 2B. It is determined that surging has occurred.
- the threshold value ⁇ is a threshold value for determining that the compressor 2 is in an abnormal operation state, and is a value confirmed in advance by a verification experiment or the like.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines which of the compressors 2A and 2B It is determined that droplet suction has occurred.
- the protection control unit 83 corrects the abnormal operation state of the compressor 2 and performs control to protect the compressor 2 from a failure or the like.
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart illustrating an example of abnormality detection processing and control at the time of abnormality detection by the control device according to the embodiment of the present invention.
- the sensor information acquisition unit 81 acquires sensor information such as a current value (Step S11). Specifically, the sensor information acquisition unit 81 acquires the current values Ia and Ib measured by the ammeter a and the ammeter b. The sensor information acquisition unit 81 acquires measurement values measured by the first to fifth sensors. The sensor information acquiring unit 81 continues acquiring these sensor information at predetermined time intervals.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 calculates an operating point (step S12). Specifically, the abnormality detection unit 82 is configured to output the chilled water inlet temperature, the chilled water outlet temperature, the chilled water flow rate, the refrigerant pressure at the evaporator 5, the refrigerant temperature at the evaporator 5 outlet, and the expansion valve 4 obtained by the sensor information obtaining unit 81. Based on the refrigerant temperature on the upstream side and the function ⁇ stored in the storage unit 87, the refrigerant flow rate and the compression ratio of the compressor 2 are calculated.
- control device 8 determines whether the compressor 2 is operating (step S13). When the compressor 2 is operating (step S13; Yes), the processing after step S14 is performed. When the compressor 2 is not operating (Step S13; No), the processing from Step S11 is repeated.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines whether or not the absolute value (
- the processing from Step S11 is repeated.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines whether the operating point calculated in Step S12 is on the large air volume side (Step S12). S15). Specifically, the abnormality detecting unit 82 determines which side of the characteristic curve L1 (FIG.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines that the operating point is not on the large air volume side.
- the abnormality detection unit 82 determines that the operating point is on the large air volume side.
- the abnormality detecting unit 82 detects the occurrence of the suction of the droplet (Step S16). In this case, it is estimated that droplet suction has occurred in any of the compressors 2.
- the control device 8 controls steps S17 to S19 described below.
- Step S15 When it is determined that the operating point is not on the large air volume side (Step S15; No), the abnormality detection unit 82 detects the occurrence of surging (Step S20). In this case, it is estimated that surging has occurred in any of the compressors 2.
- the control device 8 (protection control unit 83) controls Steps S21 to S24 described below.
- the protection control unit 83 performs the follow-up observation until a predetermined time elapses. Specifically, the protection control unit 83 determines, for example, at a predetermined time interval, whether or not the state in which the absolute value of the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit 81 is equal to or larger than the threshold ⁇ is continued. A determination is made (step S17). When the absolute value of the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib is less than the threshold value ⁇ (Step S17; No), the protection control unit 83 determines that the droplet suction operation state in the compressor 2 has been eliminated. Since the abnormal operating state has been eliminated, the control device 8 repeats the processing from step S11.
- the protection control unit 83 refers to the timer 86 and detects that the abnormality detection unit 82 has caused the suction of the droplet. It is determined whether or not a predetermined time T1 has elapsed from (step S18). For example, the predetermined time T1 is set to a time required for the chilled water to become stable when the chilled water becomes unstable due to disturbance or the like. If the predetermined time T1 has not elapsed (step S18; No), the processing after step S17 is repeated.
- Step S18 If the predetermined time T1 has elapsed (Step S18; Yes), the fact that the suction of liquid droplets continues even after the predetermined time T1 has elapsed indicates that the air volume is excessive, so the protection control unit 83 sets the expansion valve
- the controller 85 is instructed to control the expansion valve 4 to close.
- the expansion valve controller 85 controls the expansion valve 4 to close (step S19).
- the opening degree of the expansion valve 4 is set in a range in which the suction of the droplets is suppressed and the influence on the operation state and load of the refrigerator 1 is sufficiently small.
- As the degree of opening of the expansion valve 4 a value determined in advance by experiments or the like is applied.
- the protection control unit 83 performs the same determination as in step S17 even after reducing the opening of the expansion valve 4, and when the absolute value of the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib returns to less than the threshold ⁇ , the protection control unit 83 opens the expansion valve 4. Return the degree to the original degree.
- the process of controlling the expansion valve 4 to close in step S19 is not essential.
- the protection control unit 83 may continue the follow-up observation (maintaining the current operation state while monitoring the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib) until the droplet suction state is suppressed. For example, when changing the opening of the expansion valve 4 has a strong effect on the operating state of the refrigerator 1, the follow-up observation may be continued. Alternatively, when the absolute value of the difference between the current values Ia and Ib does not return to less than the threshold value ⁇ , the protection control unit 83 may notify an alarm or the like instead of controlling the expansion valve 4 to close.
- an operation state in which droplet suction occurs occurs due to disturbance or the like, and is often resolved when a transient state is stabilized by waiting for a certain time.
- steps S16 to S19 when the control of the expansion valve 4 is not performed, steps S16 to S18
- the operation state in which the liquid droplet is sucked is eliminated without performing unnecessary control and deteriorating the situation. can do. Erroneous detection of surging can be prevented, and unnecessary opening control of the bypass valve 7 can be prevented.
- the protection control unit 83 performs control to forcibly open the bypass valve 7 (step S21). Specifically, the protection control unit 83 instructs the bypass valve control unit 84 to increase, for example, the opening of the bypass valve 7 to a predetermined value.
- the bypass valve control unit 84 increases the opening of the bypass valve 7 (for example, fully opens).
- the diameter of the bypass pipe 6 is designed so that surging can be eliminated when the bypass valve 7 is fully opened. Therefore, if the opening degree of the bypass valve 7 is set to 100% according to an instruction from the protection control unit 83, the air volume increases, and surging generated in one of the compressors 2A and 2B is eliminated.
- the protection control unit 83 continues to maintain the state where the absolute value of the deviation between the current values Ia and Ib acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit 81 is equal to or larger than the threshold value ⁇ . It is determined whether or not it has been performed (step S22). When the absolute value of the difference between the current values Ia and Ib is smaller than the threshold value ⁇ (Step S22; No), the protection control unit 83 determines that surging in the compressor 2 has been eliminated. Since the abnormal operating state has been eliminated, the control device 8 repeats the processing from step S11.
- the protection control unit 83 refers to the timer 86 and determines whether the abnormality detection unit 82 has detected occurrence of surging. It is determined whether the time T2 has elapsed (step S23). As the predetermined time T2, a time required for eliminating surging confirmed in an experiment or the like is set. If the predetermined time T2 has not elapsed (step S23; No), the processing after step S22 is repeated.
- Step S23 If the predetermined time T2 has elapsed (Step S23; Yes), it is considered that an abnormality other than surging such as a failure of a sensor such as the ammeter a has occurred, so the protection control unit 83 clears the opening of the bypass valve 7 ( Step S24). Clearing the opening of the bypass valve 7 means returning to the opening immediately before performing the forcible opening control in step S21. This means that if surging has occurred, surging should be eliminated by the forcible opening control of the bypass valve 7 (designed as such), but surging will not be eliminated. It is considered that another abnormality has occurred, and in that case, it is not appropriate to continue the state in which the opening degree of the bypass valve 7 is large.
- the opening of the bypass valve 7 is controlled according to a predetermined rule even during normal operation, and is set to a value corresponding to, for example, the operating point of the compressor 2.
- the protection control unit 83 controls the opening of the bypass valve 7 to this value.
- the protection control unit 83 may notify an alarm or the like indicating that a sensor failure or the like is suspected, in addition to the process of clearing the bypass valve 7.
- a surging protection operation is performed to quickly eliminate the occurrence of surging. Further, it is possible to detect a situation where an abnormality other than surging is suspected.
- the process shown in FIG. 4 is repeatedly executed at a predetermined control cycle while the compressor 2 is operating.
- FIG. 5 is a flowchart of surging determination and protection operation by the conventional control device.
- the control device 8 ′ determines whether or not the absolute value (
- the processing from Step S22 is repeated.
- the absolute value of the difference between the current values Ia and Ib is equal to or larger than the threshold value ⁇ (Step S33; Yes)
- the surging protection operation is started because there is a possibility that surging has occurred in the compressor 2 (S34).
- the control device 8 ' controls the opening of the bypass valve 7. Thereafter, the control device 8 'continues the surging protection operation until the absolute value of the difference between the current values Ia and Ib becomes less than the threshold value ⁇ , for example.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a relationship between a bypass valve control by a conventional control device and a current value flowing through an electric motor.
- Each of the graphs 61 to 67 in FIG. 6 shows a transition of a state quantity measured when a disturbance occurs during the operation of the refrigerator 1 and a control quantity (valve opening and the like) output by the control device 8 '. .
- the vertical axis of the graph of FIG. 6 indicates the magnitude of the state amount or the control amount, and the horizontal axis indicates the passage of time.
- Graph 61 shows the cold water flow rate.
- a graph 62 shows a current value Ib of the motor driving the compressor 2B
- a graph 63 shows a current value Ia of the motor driving the compressor 2A.
- Graph 64 shows the opening of vane 9 (vanes 9A and 9B), and graph 65 shows the opening of bypass valve 7.
- Graph 66 shows the cold water inlet temperature, and graph 67 shows the cold water outlet temperature.
- the graph 68 shows the current limit value imposed on the current values Ia and Ib.
- the control device 8 'performs control to close the vane 9 when the current values Ia and Ib exceed the current limit value. When the opening of the vane 9 decreases, the current values Ia and Ib also decrease.
- the control device 8 ′ forcibly closes the vane 9 (graph 64), and forcibly opens the bypass valve 7 when the difference between the current values Ia and Ib becomes equal to or larger than the threshold ⁇ (graph 65). ) Perform control. Thereafter, due to the decrease in the current value Ib, the control device 8 'temporarily stops the surging protection operation. When the bypass valve 7 is fully closed by stopping the surging protection operation, the load on the motor increases. As the load increases, the current values Ia and Ib both increase (e3a, e3b).
- the control device 8 'forcibly opens the bypass valve 7.
- the bypass valve 7 is opened and the gas-phase refrigerant is sucked into the compressor 2 via the bypass pipe 6 and the evaporator 5, the suction of the droplets in the compressor 2B is promoted by the increase in the air volume.
- the current value Ib maintains a high value, and the deviation between the current value Ia and the current value Ib does not return to a state smaller than the threshold ⁇ (e6).
- ⁇ e6
- the suction of the droplets in the compressor 2B is a transient phenomenon that occurs due to the transient fluctuation of the cooling water flowing through the pipe 12 or the cooling water flowing through the pipe 11.
- the suction of the liquid drops is stopped, and the deviation between the current value Ia and the current value Ib also returns to a specified value (less than the threshold value ⁇ ).
- the suction of the droplet is detected at the time t1 without performing the erroneous surging detection at the time t1 by the processing of the flowchart described in FIG. Then, after detecting the suction of the droplet, the control device 8 continues the follow-up observation. Eventually, if the operation state of the refrigerator 1 (the state of the cold water or the cooling water) becomes stable, the suction of the droplets of the compressor 2B stops, and the continuous operation can be performed without stopping the refrigerator 1. In addition, when the surging protection operation is performed by mistake, the suction of the liquid droplets may continue in the compressor 2B, and the device may be damaged. However, according to the abnormality detection processing and the control at the time of the abnormality detection according to the present embodiment, Equipment damage can be prevented.
- an abnormal operation state is often detected based only on a deviation of each current value flowing through a motor driving each of the plurality of compressors 2.
- erroneous detection may occur, and it may be difficult to return the refrigerator 1 to a normal operation state.
- control device 8 of the present embodiment when the deviation of the current value flowing through each of the electric motors driving each of the plurality of compressors 2 is equal to or larger than the predetermined threshold value ⁇ , Based on the relationship between the operating point indicated by the compression ratio and the air flow and the characteristic curve of the compression ratio and the air flow, it is possible to accurately detect surging generated in a part of the plurality of compressors 2 and suction of droplets from the evaporator 5. .
- the control device 8 performs control suitable for each event according to the surging and the droplet suction.
- surging when occurrence of surging is detected, surging can be promptly suppressed by forcibly opening control of the bypass valve 7.
- another abnormality such as abnormality of the sensor
- Such a possibility can also be detected.
- the droplet suction operation state that occurs in some (but not all) compressors which is likely to occur in a parallel refrigerator having a plurality of compressors. Can be accurately detected.
- the control device 8 detects both the surging and the droplet suction.
- the surging detection function described above is used.
- the control device may be configured as a control device having only the function of the surging protection operation.
- only the function of detecting the droplet suction described above and the function of executing the subsequent control are provided. It may be configured as a mounted control device.
- the control device 8 is mounted on a computer including a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a main storage device, an auxiliary storage device, an input / output interface, a communication interface, and the like.
- a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a main storage device, an auxiliary storage device, an input / output interface, a communication interface, and the like.
- the operation of each functional unit described above is stored in the auxiliary storage device in the form of a program.
- the CPU reads the program from the auxiliary storage device, expands the program in the main storage device, and executes the above-described processing according to the program.
- the CPU secures a storage area in the main storage device according to the program.
- the CPU secures a storage area for storing the data being processed in the auxiliary storage device according to the program.
- the function of the control device 8 according to the present embodiment may be provided in a device different from the control device that executes the normal operation of the refrigerator 1.
