Description

Paper sheet processing apparatus and paper sheet processing method
The present invention relates to a sheet processing apparatus and a sheet processing method.
Conventionally, in a financial institution or the like, a paper sheet processing device is used as a device for storing or discharging bills. The paper sheet processing device has an identification device for identifying the bill, a storage device for storing the bill, a temporary holding device for temporarily holding the bill, and the like, according to the identification result in the identification device, It is transported to a temporary holding device, a storage device, or the like.
Further, in the conventional paper sheet processing apparatus, after temporarily storing the banknotes in the temporary storage device, deposit processing for storing the banknotes in the storage device, and directly storing the banknotes in the storage device without storing the banknotes in the temporary storage device. Payment processing such as payment processing is performed.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H11-163,873 discloses a paper sheet that normally performs a deposit process using a temporary storage device, and performs a deposit process without using the temporary storage device when the temporary storage device is used as a counterfeit note storage unit. A processing device is described.
In the depositing process using the temporary holding device, when the operation of confirming the deposit of the banknote held in the temporary holding device is performed by the user, the deposit of the banknote into the paper sheet processing device is confirmed, and the temporary holding device is used. In the non-payment process, when the user performs a depositing operation after the banknotes are stored in the storage device, payment to the paper sheet processing device is determined.
When the deposit processing using the temporary holding device is performed, the banknote is once conveyed to the temporary holding device, and after the user of the paper sheet processing device performs the operation of confirming the payment, the bill is transferred from the temporary holding device to the storage device. , And is stored in the storage device, so that it takes a long time for the payment processing.
On the other hand, in the case where the deposit processing is performed without using the temporary holding device, the bill is directly conveyed to the storage device without being conveyed to the temporary holding device, so that there is an advantage that the deposit processing is completed in a short time.
However, in the payment processing without using the temporary holding device, in a state before the payment confirmation operation is performed, the banknotes stored before the payment processing is started and the banknotes stored by the payment processing are mixed. Stored in the storage device. Therefore, in the depositing process without using the temporary holding device, if an error related to bill transport occurs before the depositing operation is performed, only the bills deposited by the current depositing process from the bills stored in the storage device. Extraction becomes difficult, and it may take time to recover after the error is resolved.
An object of the present invention is to provide a paper sheet processing apparatus capable of performing a depositing process in a short time and recovering in a short time even if a transport error occurs during execution of the depositing process. Next, the deposit processing executed by the sheet processing apparatus 1 will be described. The depositing process is a process in which the banknotes fed from the depositing unit 12 are identified by the identifying unit 16, and the banknotes identified as suitable for depositing are received and stored in the paper sheet processing apparatus 1, and are not suitable for depositing. This is a process of rejecting the banknote identified as, determining the amount of the received banknote, and registering it as a deposit amount. As described above, the identification unit 16 identifies banknote information such as authenticity, validity, denomination, and serial number of a banknote. Rejected banknotes that are not suitable for depositing are, for example, counterfeit or unfit banknotes or banknotes of an unacceptable denomination. Which banknote is a reject banknote that is not suitable for depositing can be appropriately set as needed. In the present embodiment, the payment processing using the temporary storage device will be described as a first payment processing, and the payment processing without using the temporary storage device will be described as a second payment processing.
If the banknote is identified as suitable for payment, a first payment process or a second payment process is executed. A deposit selection process is performed for each deposited banknote to determine which of the first deposit process and the second deposit process is to be executed according to the identification result of the banknote by the identification unit 16. In the deposit selection process, as a result of identifying the deposited bill, the first deposit process is selected when the serial number management of the bill is not performed, and the second deposit process is performed when the serial number management of the bill is performed. Payment processing is selected. The serial number management is management for associating a serial number of a bill with a storage unit in which the bill is stored.
Furthermore, the serial number management may be management for associating the serial number of the bill with the storage position or storage order in the storage unit. Further, the serial number management may be management for associating the serial number of a bill with a position on the transport path on which the bill is being transported. The deposit selection process may be a process based on the identification result of the serial number.
The banknote whose serial number has not been identified by the identification unit 16 is a banknote for which serial number management is not performed, and is processed in the first deposit processing. The banknote whose serial number is identified is a banknote for which serial number management is performed, and is processed in the second payment process. Further, the deposit selection process may be a process based on the final destination of the bill.
At the end of the depositing process, the banknotes to be stored in the first storage unit where the serial number management is not performed are the banknotes for which the serial number management is not performed, and are processed in the first depositing process. At the end of the depositing process, the banknotes to be stored in the second storage unit in which the serial number management is performed are the banknotes in which the serial number management is performed, and are processed in the second payment process. In addition, the deposit selection process may include a process of determining to reject the bill according to the identification result of the bill.
As described above, when a plurality of banknotes are deposited, even if the banknotes are processed in the same payment process, the banknotes processed in the first payment process and the banknotes processed in the second payment process are mixed. I do. Here, the second storage unit in which serial number management is performed is a storage unit in which serial numbers of stored banknotes are managed, and further, the storage order of banknotes and the serial numbers are associated with each other. The storage unit may be a managed storage unit.
Next, the settlement process in the payment process will be described. The confirmation process is a process for confirming the amount of the bill accepted as a deposit, and the decided amount is registered as the deposit amount. For example, the user checks the total amount of banknotes and the number of denominations accepted by the depositing process, and if the confirmed total matches the amount to be deposited, performs input for the finalizing process. In the present embodiment, the banknote before the finalizing process is performed is called an undetermined banknote, and the banknote after the finalizing process is performed is called a finalized banknote. The confirmation process is executed after all bills have been taken in and identified. At this time, the banknotes processed in the first payment processing are stored in the temporary storage unit 19, and the banknotes processed in the second payment processing are stored in the second storage unit.
Next, an error during the payment process and a recovery process will be described. If an error such as a transport error occurs during the depositing process, a recovery process for eliminating the cause of the error and restarting the depositing process is required. If an error occurs before the confirmation process is performed, a return process for returning the unconfirmed banknote to the user and a re-payment process for recharging the unconfirmed banknote are required as recovery processes. If an error occurs after the confirmation processing is performed, the return processing and the re-payment processing are unnecessary.
FIGS. 2 and 3 are diagrams illustrating an example of the first deposit processing according to the present embodiment. FIG. 2 shows a state in which the bills fed from the depositing unit 12 are stored in the temporary storage unit 19, and FIG. 3 shows a state in which the banknotes fed from the temporary storage unit 19 are stored in the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit. 9 shows a state where the storage unit is stored in any storage unit of the unit 25. In addition, the arrow drawn with the dotted line in the figure has shown the conveyance path of the rejected banknote rejected in a payment processing.
The first depositing process is to temporarily store the banknotes for which the serial number management is not performed in the temporary storage unit 19, and to perform the operation of confirming the payment of the banknotes, to store the banknotes in the first storage unit 23. This is a deposit processing for storing in any of the storage sections of the third storage section 25. The first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 are first storage sections in which serial number management is not performed.
In the present specification, the process of storing the bills fed from the depositing unit 12 in the temporary holding unit 19 is called a holding process, and the banknotes fed from the temporary holding unit 19 are stored in the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25. The process of storing in any of the storage units is called a storing process. That is, the holding process and the storing process constitute the first payment process.
The banknotes processed in the first payment processing are stored in the temporary holding unit 19 at the time when the finalization processing is performed. Therefore, when an error such as a transport error occurs before the finalizing process, the undetermined banknotes processed in the first depositing process are present in the depositing unit 12, the transporting unit 15, and the temporary holding unit 19, and are stored in the first storage unit. It is not stored in the section 23 to the third storage section 25. Therefore, the unconfirmed banknotes processed in the first deposit process are not mixed with the existing banknotes, so that only the unconfirmed banknotes can be easily extracted and the recovery process can be performed.
Specifically, all bills on the depositing section 12, the temporary holding section 19 and the transport section 15 may be recounted or returned to the customer. As described above, even when an error such as a transport error occurs before the confirmation process, the recovery process can be performed quickly. Here, the existing banknotes are banknotes that existed in the banknote processing apparatus before the payment processing was started. If an error such as a transport error occurs after the finalization processing, the return processing and the re-payment processing for the finalized bill are unnecessary.
In addition, when the serial number of the bill is not properly identified, but the denomination of the bill is normally identified, the first deposit processing is selected, and in the first deposit processing, the denomination of the identified bill is determined. The information is stored in the storage table provided in correspondence with each of the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 in the identified order.
The first depositing process is a process for depositing banknotes that are not serial number managed. In the first depositing process, serial numbers are provided corresponding to each of the first to third storage units 23 to 25. Not stored in the designated storage table. In other words, the first to third storage units 23 to 25 are storage units in which serial numbers are not managed.
The storage unit in which the banknotes are stored in the first depositing process is not limited to any of the storage units 23 to 25, and other storage units in which serial numbers are not managed. Department.
FIG. 4 is a view for explaining an example of the second deposit processing according to the present embodiment. FIG. 4 shows a state where the bills fed from the depositing section 12 are directly stored in any of the fourth to sixth storing sections 28 to 28 in which the serial numbers are managed. . In addition, the arrow drawn with the dotted line in the figure has shown the conveyance path of the rejected banknote rejected in a payment processing.
2The second deposit process is a process for depositing a banknote for which serial number management is performed. For example, the second deposit process is a deposit process in which the banknote whose serial number has been identified by the identification unit 16 is directly stored in any of the fourth to sixth storage units 26 to 28. The fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 are second storage sections in which serial number management is performed. Therefore, it may be said that the second deposit processing is processing for depositing banknotes to be stored in the second storage unit in which serial number management is performed. In the second deposit processing, the bill is not conveyed to the temporary holding section 19, so that the deposit processing can be performed quickly.
In the second deposit process, the serial number information of the identified banknotes is stored in the identified order in the storage tables provided corresponding to the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28, respectively. You. In other words, the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 are storage sections in which serial numbers are managed.
In the second payment processing, by managing the serial numbers, it is possible to specify which banknotes are stored in which storage unit and in what order. Therefore, even if a transport error such as a banknote jam occurs for the banknotes processed in the second deposit process, the position of each banknote can be specified and the recovery process can be performed quickly.
The banknotes processed in the second deposit processing are stored in the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 at the time when the finalization processing is performed. Therefore, if an error such as a transport error occurs before the finalizing process, the undetermined banknote processed in the second depositing process is transferred to the depositing unit 12, the transporting unit 15, the fourth storing unit 26 to the sixth storing unit. 28. The unconfirmed bills in the depositing section 12 and the transport section 15 may be recounted or returned to the customer.
The unconfirmed banknotes in the fourth to sixth storage sections 26 to 28 are stored together with the existing banknotes. However, since the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 are storage sections in which serial number management is performed, by referring to the storage table, undetermined bills and existing bills can be easily distinguished. Therefore, only the undecided bill can be easily taken out, and the restoration process can be quickly performed. If an error such as a transport error occurs after the finalization processing, the return processing and the re-payment processing for the finalized bill are unnecessary.
The recovery processing of the banknote processed in the second payment processing will be described later in detail.
Next, the flow of the deposit processing of the sheet processing apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment will be described. FIG. 5 is a flowchart illustrating an example of the deposit processing according to the present embodiment.
(4) When a bill is placed on the depositing section 12, a bill taking-in process (step S10) is executed at a predetermined timing. The take-in process (Step S10) is a process of taking the bills placed in the depositing unit 12 into the sheet processing apparatus 1.
The number of banknotes placed on the depositing unit 12 may be one or plural. When a plurality of banknotes are placed on the depositing unit 12, the banknotes may be of the same denomination or of different denominations.
In the take-in process (Step S10), the bill is fed to the first branch 151 by the pay-out mechanism arranged in the depositing unit 12, and the banknote fed to the first branch 151 is placed in the loop-shaped transport path 150. Transported to the identification unit 16.
The predetermined trigger at which the loading process (step S10) is started is, for example, an operation terminal (not shown) provided in the upper housing 10 or an operation terminal connected to the sheet processing apparatus 1 being operated. It is timing. In addition, the predetermined trigger at which the loading process (step S10) is started may be, for example, a timing at which a predetermined time has elapsed since the bill was placed on the depositing unit 12.
When the bill is transported to the identification unit 16 in the take-in process (Step S10), the bill identification process (Step S20) is executed.
The identification process (step S20) is a process in which the identification unit 16 identifies banknote information such as the authenticity, validity, denomination, and serial number of a banknote.
In the identification process (step S20), banknote information such as the denomination and serial number of the banknote identified by the identification unit 16 is stored in the transport table.
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing an example of the transport table according to the present embodiment. The transport table 40 has an area in which banknote information such as a denomination and a serial number of the banknote identified by the identification unit 16 is stored, and these banknote information is stored in the transport table 40 in the order in which the banknotes are identified. You.
In FIG. 6, “USD2”, “USD3”, “USD4”, and “USD5” indicate denominations of the identified bills, respectively. “Null” is blank, that is, the serial number has not been identified.
By referring to the transport table 40, the denomination of the banknote being transported on the transport unit 15 or the denomination and the serial number of the banknote can be specified.
Return to the description of FIG. In the identification process (step S20), a predetermined parameter N is set according to the identification result of the bill.
Specifically, when it is determined that the bill is suitable for depositing and the bill is not managed by the serial number, “1” is set to the predetermined parameter N. For example, a banknote that is not subjected to serial number management is a banknote whose serial number has not been identified. In addition, the case where the serial number is not identified is not limited to the case where the characters of all the digits of the serial number attached to the bill are not identified. Includes when characters are identified. Further, for example, a banknote that is not subjected to serial number management may be a banknote to be stored in a storage unit that is not subjected to serial number management at the end of the payment processing.
{Circle around (2)} When it is determined that the bill is suitable for payment and that the bill is managed by the serial number, “2” is set as the predetermined parameter N. For example, the banknote whose number is managed is a banknote in which the serial number of the banknote is identified. The case where the serial number is identified is not limited to the case where all digits of the serial number attached to the banknote are identified. For example, at least 7 digits of the 10-digit characters are identified. Including the case where it was done. In addition, for example, the banknote managed by the serial number may be a banknote to be stored in the storage unit managed by the serial number at the end of the deposit processing.
{Circle around (3)} If the banknote is identified as not suitable for deposit, the predetermined parameter is set to “3”.
By setting the predetermined parameters in the identification processing (step S20) in this manner, it is possible to select a processing according to the set predetermined parameter values in the payment selection processing (step S30) described below. . The conditions for setting the respective values for the parameter N can be changed as necessary.
When the identification process (Step S20) is completed, a payment selection process (Step S30) is executed.
The payment selection processing (step S30) is based on the set value of the predetermined parameter N, the first payment processing suspension processing (step S40), the second payment processing (step S80), or the reject processing (step S80). This is a process for selecting any one of the processes in step S90).
In the deposit selection process (step S30), when the predetermined parameter N is set to "1", the first deposit process is selected, and the suspension process (step S40) which is a part of the first deposit process is performed. Be executed.
In the holding process (step S40), as shown in FIG. 2, the banknote identified by the identification unit 16 is transported from the identification unit 16 on the transport unit 15 to the temporary storage unit 19.
When the banknotes are stored in the temporary storage unit 19, the denomination information of the stored banknotes is stored in a temporary storage table provided corresponding to the temporary storage unit 19. At this time, the bill information of the bill stored in the transport table 40 is deleted.
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example of the temporary holding table according to the present embodiment. The temporary storage table 47 is a table that stores denomination information of stored banknotes in the order in which the banknotes are stored in the temporary storage unit 19.
That is, by referring to the temporary holding table 47, the denomination of the banknote stored in the temporary holding unit 19 can be specified.
Return to the description of FIG. When the holding process (Step S40) ends, it is determined whether or not the feeding of the banknote placed on the depositing unit 12 has ended (Step S50).
If the feeding of the banknotes placed in the depositing unit 12 has not been completed (No in Step S50), the processes after the receiving process (Step S10) are executed again.
When the dispensing of the bills placed on the depositing unit 12 is completed (Yes in Step S50), a confirmation process (Step S60) described later is executed.
Next, a case where “2” is set as the predetermined parameter N in the identification processing will be described. In the deposit selection process (step S30), when the predetermined parameter N is set to “2”, the second deposit process (step S80) is selected.
In the second depositing process (step S80), as shown in FIG. 4, the banknote identified by the identification unit 16 moves on the transport unit 15 to any one of the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28. Conveyed toward. The fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 are storage sections in which serial numbers are managed.
When the banknote is stored in any of the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28, the denomination information and serial number information of the stored banknote are stored in the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28. The information is stored in any of the fourth to sixth storage tables provided correspondingly.
Which of the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28 the bill is stored in is determined according to the denomination and the fitness of the bill identified by the identification unit 16.
FIG. 9 is a diagram showing an example of the fourth storage table. The fourth storage table 44 is a table that stores denomination information and serial number information of stored banknotes in the order in which the banknotes are stored in the fourth storage unit 26.
That is, by referring to the fourth storage table 44, the denomination and serial number of the banknote stored in the fourth storage unit 26 can be specified. Since the fifth storage table and the sixth storage table have the same configuration as the fourth storage table 44, the description is omitted.
Here, the description returns to FIG. When the second deposit processing (Step S80) is completed, it is determined whether or not the feeding of the bills placed on the deposit section 12 is completed (Step S50).
If the feeding of the banknotes placed in the depositing unit 12 has not been completed (No in Step S50), the processes after the receiving process (Step S10) are executed again.
(4) When the feeding of the banknotes placed on the depositing unit 12 has been completed (Yes in step S50), a confirmation process (step S60) described later is executed.
Next, a case where “3” is set as the predetermined parameter N in the identification processing will be described. In the deposit selection process (step S30), when the predetermined parameter N is set to “3”, that is, when the bill is not suitable for deposit, the reject process (step S90) is selected.
When the rejection process (step S90) is selected, the bill is transported from the loop-shaped transport path 150 to the dispensing unit 13 through the second branch path 152.
When the rejection process (Step S90) is completed, it is determined whether or not the feeding of the banknote placed on the depositing unit 12 is completed (Step S50).
If the feeding of the banknotes placed in the depositing unit 12 has not been completed (No in Step S50), the processes after the receiving process (Step S10) are executed again.
(4) When the feeding of the banknotes placed on the depositing unit 12 is completed (Yes in Step S50), the finalizing process (Step S60) is performed.
The confirmation process (step S60) is a process in which the operator confirms the total amount of unconfirmed banknotes stored therein by the first payment process or the second payment process and the number of denominations for each denomination, and decides the payment. . The total amount of unconfirmed banknotes stored therein and the number of sheets for each denomination are displayed on a display unit (not shown). Here, although not shown in FIG. 5, the deposit processing can be canceled. When the deposit processing is canceled, the banknotes stored inside by the first deposit processing or the second deposit processing are returned from the dispensing unit 13.
When the payment is confirmed by the confirmation process, the storing process (step S70) is executed. The storing process is a process of storing the banknote stored in the temporary holding unit 19 by the first depositing process as a confirmed banknote in any one of the first storing unit 23 to the third storing unit 25. is there. The first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 are storage sections in which serial number management is not performed. At this time, the denomination information of the bill fed from the temporary holding unit 19 is stored in the transport table 40 and deleted from the temporary holding table 47. Further, the bill is stored in any one of the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25. At this time, the denomination information of the bill stored in the transport table 40 is deleted. Which storage section of the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 the bill is stored in is determined according to the denomination of the bill determined in the identification processing.
At this time, the banknote may be fed from the temporary holding unit 19 to the identification unit 16 and the denomination of the banknote may be identified again. Note that a banknote whose denomination is not identified by the identification unit 16 for some reason may be conveyed to the collection unit 33 and may not be dispensed. Further, when the serial number of the bill can be identified by the identification at this time, the bill may be stored in the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 in which the serial number is managed.
The denomination information of the banknotes stored in any of the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25 is provided corresponding to each of the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25. It is stored in any one of the first to third storage tables.
FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating an example of the first storage table. The first storage table 41 is a table that stores denomination information of stored banknotes in the order in which the banknotes are stored in the first storage unit 23.
That is, by referring to the first storage table 41, the denomination of the banknote stored in the first storage unit 23 can be specified. Note that the second storage section table and the third storage section table have the same configuration as the first storage section table, and thus description thereof will be omitted.
Return to the description of FIG. When the storing process (Step S70) ends, the depositing process ends.
In the above-mentioned holding process (step S40), the banknotes were stored in the temporary holding unit 19. However, the temporary holding unit 19 is used as a holding unit for temporarily holding a counterfeit note, for example, and when the temporary holding unit 19 cannot be used, in the holding process (step S40), the banknote is stored in the removable storage unit 4. May be stored.
In the above-described deposit selection process (Step S30), the first deposit process is suspended (Step S40), the second deposit process (Step S80), or the first deposit process is performed based on the value of the set predetermined parameter N. , Any one of the reject processing (step S90) is selected.
However, the condition for selecting any one of the first payment processing suspension processing (step S40) and the second payment processing (step S80) is not limited to this. For example, when the bill is suitable for deposit and the bill is a predetermined kind of bill, based on the kind of the bill, the first deposit processing suspension processing (step S40) or the second deposit processing is performed. Any of the deposit processing (step S80) may be selected.
For example, a predetermined type of banknote is a type of banknote to which a serial number that can be identified in the identification unit 16 is attached, or a type of banknote in which the serial number is identified in the identification unit 16 at a ratio of a predetermined value or more. It is a banknote. For example, when it is known in advance that the serial number of a specific type of banknote issued in a certain country is identified by the identification unit 16 at a ratio equal to or higher than a predetermined value, the banknote is regarded as a predetermined type of banknote. If the banknote is suitable for payment and the banknote is such a banknote, the second payment process (step S80) is selected.
In addition, for example, a predetermined type of banknote is a banknote of a type to which a serial number that is difficult to identify in the identification unit 16 or a serial number is identified in the identification unit 16 at a ratio equal to or greater than a predetermined value. It is a kind of banknote that is difficult to do. For example, when it is known in advance that the serial number of a specific type of banknote issued in a certain country is difficult to be identified at a ratio equal to or higher than a predetermined value in the identification unit 16, the banknote is regarded as a predetermined type of banknote. I do. If the banknote is suitable for payment and the banknote is such a banknote, the first payment process (step S40) is selected.
However, for example, if priority is given to performing error recovery in a short time rather than performing the payment processing in a short time, the banknote of the type whose serial number is identified in the identification unit 16 at a ratio of a predetermined value or more. Alternatively, the first payment processing may be selected.
In the above-described embodiment, the storage unit in which the bill is stored when the second deposit processing (step S80) is selected and the bill is stored when the first deposit processing (step S40) is selected. The storage units to be used are different from each other.
However, the banknotes may be stored in the same storage unit when the second payment process (step S80) is selected and when the first payment process (step S40) is selected. In this case, when the second deposit processing (step S80) is selected, denomination information and serial number information are stored in the storage table, and when the first deposit processing (step S40) is selected, the storage table is stored. The denomination information may be stored in the denomination.
Next, a description will be given of the recovery processing of the banknote processed by the second payment processing when a transport error occurs before the settlement.
(4) When the bills are conveyed in a state of being overlapped on the conveyance section 15, a conveyance error is detected. If the banknotes are stored in the storage unit in that state, as described later, a discrepancy occurs between the information of the banknotes actually stored in the storage unit and the information of the banknotes stored in the storage table.
(4) If a banknote jam occurs on the transport unit 15, a transport error is detected. In particular, when a banknote jam occurs in the vicinity of the connection between the transport unit 15 and the storage unit, it may not be known whether the banknote remains in the transport unit 15 or is stored in the storage unit. Discrepancies may occur between the information of the bills stored in the storage unit and the information of the bills stored in the storage table.
That is, if a transport error is detected, there is a possibility that information on the banknotes actually stored in the storage unit and information on the banknotes stored in the storage table may be inconsistent. The information stored in the table must be correct.
Hereinafter, a specific example of the transport error will be described. FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating an example of a transport error that occurs during the payment processing.
FIG. 10 shows that among the banknotes identified in the order of banknotes SA1 to SA19 (notes SA1 to SA10 are not shown), banknotes SA1 to SA15 are stored one by one in the fourth storage unit 26 in order, and banknotes SA16 and SA17 are stored. Indicate a state in which they are stored in the fourth storage section 26 in an overlapping state. At this time, a transport error has been detected.
FIG. 10 shows a state in which the banknotes SA18 and SA19 are clogged near the connection between the loop-shaped transport path 150 and the fourth branch path 154. At this time, a transport error has been detected.
(4) The light receiving section of the sensor 261 provided in the fourth storage section 26 outputs one pulse signal when receiving the light again after the light emitted from the light emitting section is blocked. Thus, the sensor 261 detects that one banknote has been stored in the fourth storage unit 26. In addition, the sensor 261 determines that two or more bills are stored in the fourth storage section 26 in an overlapping state based on the amount of light received by the light receiving section, and detects a transport error.
FIG. 10 shows denomination information and serial number information of one banknote identified by the identification unit 16 in the fourth storage table 44 when two banknotes are stored in the fourth storage unit 26 in an overlapping state. Is stored. Even if it is determined that two or more banknotes are stored in the fourth storage unit 26 in an overlapped state, the number of banknotes actually stored in the fourth storage unit 26 is not detected, so the fourth storage table 44 Correct bill information is not stored.
Also, when the banknotes SA18 and SA19 are clogged in the vicinity of the connection between the loop-shaped transport path 150 and the fourth branch path 154, there is a possibility that correct banknote information is not stored in the fourth storage table 44. . For example, the banknote SA18 may fall into the fourth storage portion 26 while controlling to drive the loop-shaped transport path 150 in small increments in the forward and reverse directions in order to eliminate the jam. In such a case, the banknote that has fallen into the fourth storage unit 26 cannot be detected, and correct banknote information may not be stored in the fourth storage table 44.
Therefore, when a transport error such as a banknote jam occurs, there is a possibility that correct bill information may not be stored in each storage table. In the recovery processing of unconfirmed bills processed in the second deposit processing, each storage unit It is necessary to determine the value of the banknotes stored in the storage unit and to perform a close inspection process for determining the information of the storage table of each storage unit.
Here, a description will be given of a recovery process of an unconfirmed banknote processed by the second payment process when a transport error occurs during the payment process before the payment is determined.
In the restoration process, first, all bills being conveyed on the conveyance unit 15 are conveyed toward the dispensing unit 13. Further, after the bills being conveyed on the carrying section 15 are conveyed to the dispensing section 13, the bills temporarily held in the temporary holding section 19 are also conveyed toward the dispensing section 13. At this time, the bill information of the bill stored in the transport table 40 and the bill information of the bill stored in the temporary holding table 47 are deleted.
Next, in order to identify the unconfirmed banknotes stored in the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28, a close inspection process of the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 is performed.
In the scrutiny process, bills are sequentially fed from the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28 to be scrutinized. At this time, among the banknotes stored in each storage unit, the banknotes are sequentially fed from the newly stored banknote. The fed banknotes are identified by the identification unit 16, and the serial numbers of the identified banknotes are collated with the serial numbers of the banknotes stored in the fourth to sixth storage tables. If the collation results match the predetermined number of times continuously, it is determined that the banknotes that have not been paid out are stored in the order of each storage table. Thereby, the information of the storage table of the storage unit subjected to the close inspection processing is determined. In the present specification, this scrutiny processing is referred to as short scrutiny processing.
FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating an example of the short inspection process according to the present embodiment. Here, short scrutiny performed in the transport error recovery processing described with reference to FIG. 10 will be described.
FIG. 11 shows a state after all the banknotes being transported in the transport unit 15 and a banknote held in the temporary holding unit 19 have been transported to the dispensing unit 13 after a transport error has occurred. ing.
In the short scrutiny process, the bills SA17 stored in the fourth storage section 26 are sequentially fed out toward the identification section 16 in order. FIG. 11 shows that when the banknotes SA16 and SA17 stored in the fourth storage unit 26 in the overlapping state are fed out toward the identification unit 16, they are separated from each other and conveyed toward the identification unit 16 in the separated state. It shows the state where it is.
The identification unit 16 identifies the bill SA17 fed from the fourth storage unit 26. The serial number of the banknote SA17 identified by the identification unit 16 is compared with the serial number of the banknote stored in the fourth storage table 44. In the example illustrated in FIG. 11, the serial number of the banknote SA17 that is first fed from the fourth storage unit 26 does not match any serial number of the banknote stored in the fourth storage table 44. The bill SA17 identified by the identification unit 16 is transported to the temporary holding unit 19.
Next, the identification unit 16 identifies the banknote SA16 that has been fed second from the fourth storage unit 26. In the identification unit 16, the serial number of the identified banknote SA16 is compared with the serial number of the banknote stored in the fourth storage table 44. In the example illustrated in FIG. 11, the serial number of the banknote SA16 secondly fed from the fourth storage unit 26 matches the serial number of the last banknote stored in the fourth storage table 44. The bill SA16 identified by the identification unit 16 is transported to the temporary holding unit 19.
Next, the identification unit 16 identifies the third banknote SA15 fed from the fourth storage unit 26. The serial number of the banknote SA15 identified by the identification unit 16 is compared with the serial number of the banknote stored in the fourth storage table 44. In the example illustrated in FIG. 11, the serial number of the banknote SA15 that has been thirdly fed from the fourth storage unit 26 matches the serial number of the banknote stored second from the end of the fourth storage table 44. At this time, the collation result of the serial number matches twice consecutively. The banknote SA15 identified by the identification unit 16 is transported to the temporary holding unit 19.
Next, the identification unit 16 identifies the banknote SA14 that has been fed fourth from the fourth storage unit 26. The serial number of the banknote SA14 identified by the identification unit 16 is compared with the serial number of the banknote stored in the fourth storage table 44. In the example illustrated in FIG. 11, the serial number of the banknote SA <b> 14 that has been fed fourth from the fourth storage unit 26 matches the serial number of the third banknote stored from the end of the fourth storage table 44. At this time, the collation results of the serial numbers match three times consecutively. The bill SA14 identified by the identification unit 16 is transported to the temporary holding unit 19.
Repeat the above process, and if the collation result of the serial number matches five times consecutively, the short scrutiny process is terminated. If the serial number matches five times consecutively, the banknote information of the banknotes still stored in the fourth storage unit 26 and the banknote information stored in the fourth storage table 44 may match. It is because it is recognized that the property is high. Subsequently, the banknotes stored in the temporary storage unit 19 are returned to the fourth storage unit 26, and the banknote information of the banknotes is added to the fourth storage table 44.
Thereby, the information of the fourth storage table 44 can be determined. That is, the information stored in the fourth storage table 44 matches the information of the bills actually stored in the fourth storage unit 26. It should be noted that the short scrutiny process may be terminated when the serial number collation results match continuously less than or more than five times.
By executing the same short scrutiny process on the fifth storage section 27 and the sixth storage section 28, the information of the fifth storage table and the sixth storage table can be determined.
By the way, the bill information stored in each storage table can be distinguished between information on existing bills and information on undecided bills. Each banknote information stored in each storage table may be provided with a flag indicating whether information on existing banknotes or information on unconfirmed banknotes, or manages the number of information on existing banknotes stored in each storage table. You may. If the information in the storage table is determined, the existing banknotes and the undetermined banknotes can be easily distinguished, so that only the undetermined banknotes can be taken out and the recovery processing can be performed. As described above, since the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28 are storage units in which serial number management is performed, by performing a close inspection process using a storage table storing serial number information, The information of the storage table can be determined in a shorter time than in the case of performing the long scrutiny process. Thereby, the restoration process is completed in a short time.
In the above-described embodiment, if a transport error occurs during the payment processing before the payment is confirmed, the recovery processing is executed at that time to store the information in the storage tables of the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28. Was determined.
However, even if a transport error occurs during the payment processing before the payment is determined and the information in the storage tables of the fourth storage part 26 to the sixth storage part 28 becomes indeterminate, the recovery processing is not performed and the processing is continued. Payment processing may be performed.
In this case, since the information of the storage tables of the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28 is in an indefinite state, the serial number management is not performed for the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28. It is a storage section. After a transport error has occurred, the banknotes are prevented from being stored in these storage sections. Specifically, regardless of whether or not the serial number of the banknote is identified in the identification unit 16, the final storage destination of the banknote is the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit in which the serial number management is not performed. In the case of any one of the sections 28, the first payment processing for storing the banknote identified by the identification section 16 in the temporary holding section 19 is executed.
(4) Thus, the depositing process can be continuously executed without using the storage unit in which the remaining amount is in an indeterminate state.
(4) Even when the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 become full or malfunction, the deposit processing may be continuously performed.
In this case, since the banknotes cannot be stored in the fourth storage unit 26 to the sixth storage unit 28, regardless of whether the serial number of the banknote is identified in the identification unit 16, the final storage destination of the banknote is: One of the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 or the collection section 33. Since these storage units are storage units for which serial number management is not performed, the first deposit processing is executed.
Next, a detailed inspection process when a transport error occurs during execution of the storing process (step S70) after the payment is determined will be described.
When a transport error occurs during the execution of the storing process, the bill information stored in the first storing table 41 to the third storing table and the bill actually stored in the first storing section 23 to the third storing section 25 are stored. Banknote information may not match. The depositing process ends when the storing process is completed, but a scrutiny process for determining the amount of the banknotes stored in the first to third storing units 23 to 25 may be performed subsequently. Further, the scrutiny process may be performed at a time when the bill processing device is not used.
The first to third storage sections 23 to 25 are storage sections in which serial number management is not performed. In such an inspection process of the storage unit, first, all the bills being transported on the transport unit 15 are transported to any of the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25. At this time, the bill information stored in the transport table 40 is deleted. The banknotes held in the temporary holding section 19 are also conveyed to any of the first to third storage sections 23 to 25. At this time, the bill information stored in the temporary holding table 47 is deleted.
Next, the banknotes stored in the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25 are subjected to close examination processing by using the detachable storage unit 4. In the scrutiny process, the banknotes stored in the first to third storage units 23 to 25 to be scrutinized are identified. In the present specification, the close inspection processing of the storage unit in which the serial number management is not performed is referred to as the long close inspection processing as opposed to the short close inspection processing described above.
FIG. 12 is a diagram illustrating an example of the long scrutiny process according to the present embodiment. In the long scrutiny process, the banknotes stored in the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 are sequentially fed toward the identification section 16.
(4) The identification unit 16 identifies bills transported from the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25. The denomination information of the identified bill is stored in a removable storage table provided corresponding to the removable storage unit 4.
When the banknotes stored in the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 are conveyed to the removable storage section 4 via the identification section 16, the banknotes stored in the removable storage section 4 are re-exposed. It is transported toward the identification unit 16.
The identification unit 16 identifies a bill transported from the removable storage unit 4. The banknote identified by the identification unit 16 is stored in any one of the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25 according to the denomination information of the banknote. The first storage table 41 to the third storage table store banknote denomination information in the order in which the banknotes are identified.
Thereby, the banknotes stored in the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 can be determined.
When the detachable storage unit 4 is already used for another purpose, the banknotes stored in the first storage unit 23 to the third storage unit 25 are removed without executing the long scrutiny process. You may make it convey to the payment part 13 and perform a payment process again.
In the long scrutiny process, when the banknotes are conveyed from the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 toward the removable storage section 4 and when the banknote is transported from the removable storage section 4 to the first storage section 23 to the third storage section. When the bill was conveyed toward the unit 25, the bill was identified in the identification unit 16.
However, when the banknotes are transported from the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25 toward the removable storage section 4 and when the banknotes are transported from the removable storage section 4 to the first storage section 23 to the third storage section 25. The banknote may be identified in any one of transporting the banknote. Thereby, the long scrutiny process can be performed more quickly.
As described above, in the sheet processing apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment, the second deposit processing is executed for the banknotes whose serial numbers are managed, and the first deposit processing is executed for the banknotes whose serial numbers are not managed. You. Therefore, payment can be performed more quickly than when only the first payment processing is performed.
Further, when the second deposit processing is performed in the present embodiment, the serial number information of the bill is stored in the fourth storage table 44 to the fourth storage table 44 provided corresponding to the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28. It is stored in any of the six storage tables. That is, in the second payment process, the banknotes are stored in the storage unit in which the serial numbers are managed.
Therefore, even when a transport error occurs, by executing the short scrutiny process using the serial number, the information of the storage table of each storage unit is determined, and the undetermined banknote and the existing banknote can be separated. it can. Further, in the short scrutiny process, it is not necessary to identify all the banknotes stored in each storage unit, so that the recovery time can be reduced.
The serial number information of the banknotes stored in the fourth to sixth storage units 26 to 28 by the second deposit processing is stored in any of the fourth to sixth storage tables. Therefore, the banknotes can be returned in kind.
Next, the return of the banknotes stored in the fourth to sixth storage units 26 to 28 in which the serial numbers are managed among the received banknotes will be described in detail. The basic operation of the return process is to continuously draw out banknotes from the fourth storage section 26 to the sixth storage section 28 and discharge them to the dispensing section 13 while identifying them.
In this return process, after the initial value of the remaining number of returned pieces R is set to the number of deposits by the second deposit process, the return is started. Then, irrespective of the identification result, each time the banknote is returned, the remaining number of sheets R to be returned is subtracted. At this time, even if it is identified as a multi-feed (double feed, double feed), the banknote is discharged to the dispensing unit 13 and based on the serial number of the next fed banknote and the fourth storage table 44 to the sixth storage table. Then, the number of banknotes multiplexed and conveyed is determined, and the number R of remaining banknotes is corrected.
{Circle around (3)} When the remaining number of returned papers R becomes three, the banknotes are intermittently fed out one by one, and when the remaining number of returned papers R becomes zero, the return processing ends. Here, if the returned banknote is identified as multiple transport when the number of returned sheets R becomes zero, additional banknotes are fed out, not multiple transport, until a banknote whose serial number can be read normally appears. Based on the serial number of the banknote and the fourth storage table 44 to the sixth storage table, the number of the banknote when the remaining number of returned sheets R becomes zero and the number of the additionally fed banknote are determined, and the operator is notified. At this time, the additional banknotes whose serial numbers have been normally read may be conveyed to the temporary holding unit 19 or may be discharged to the dispensing unit 13 like other banknotes.
Next, the emergency dispensing process of the sheet processing apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment will be described. The emergency dispensing process is a case where a predetermined operation is performed on the sheet processing apparatus 1 even when the dispensing processing of the sheet processing apparatus 1 is prohibited due to some error. Is a process for dispensing banknotes.
Normally, a transport error such as a banknote jam occurring in the transport unit 15, an identification error in which the identification unit 16 cannot read banknote information such as a serial number, or an abnormal state such as disconnection of wiring connected to various devices has occurred. In this case, payment processing to the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 and payment processing from the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 are prohibited.
(4) Even if an error or the like is detected in the sheet processing apparatus 1, if an emergency situation occurs, it may be necessary to execute a withdrawal process. The emergency dispensing process is a process performed in such a case.
The emergency dispensing process is executed, for example, when an operation is performed on an emergency dispensing operation unit (not shown) provided in the upper housing 10. In the emergency dispensing process, the forced dispensing function, the error suppressing function, and the low-speed processing function are activated.
The forced withdrawal function is a function for performing a dispensing process when the emergency dispensing operation unit receives an operation even when the dispensing process is prohibited. When the forced dispensing function is activated, the control unit 18 controls any one of the first storage unit 23 to the sixth storage unit 28 even when various errors have occurred in the sheet processing apparatus 1. The banknote is transported from the storage section toward the dispensing section 13.
For example, even when a banknote is jammed near the connection between the fourth branch path 154 and the loop-shaped transport path 150, if the forcible dispensing function is activated, the other payable storage section The bill is fed, and the fed bill is conveyed to the dispensing unit 13 through a conveyable route.
Accordingly, even in a state where a transport error has occurred, the banknote can be fed from one of the first storage section 23 to the sixth storage section 28.
The error suppression function is a function of suppressing detection of an error other than an error in which bills cannot be conveyed from each storage unit toward the dispensing unit 13. When the error suppression function is activated, for example, even if an abnormality occurs in the rotation speed of the motor of the driving device of the sheet processing apparatus 1, the identification error in the identification unit 16, or the abnormality of various sensors, these abnormalities or errors are detected. Not detected.
Alternatively, various threshold values set for detecting an error may be changed while the error suppression function is operating. For example, when the rotation speed of the motor is lower than the set value by 10% or more, an error is detected, whereas when the error suppression function is activated, the rotation speed of the motor is 50% or more lower than the set value. If it becomes low, detect it as an error.
Thereby, even if an error occurs in the sheet processing apparatus 1 during execution of the dispensing process, the dispensing process can be continuously performed.
The low-speed processing function is a function for lowering the payout speed of bills from each storage unit. In other words, the low-speed processing function is a function that lengthens the time interval at which bills are fed and decreases the bill conveying speed. By activating the low-speed processing function, the probability of occurrence of an error can be reduced, and banknotes can be reliably dispensed.
In the emergency withdrawal process, it is preferable to enable or disable these functions individually.
In the emergency dispensing process, when the amount of the bill to be dispensed is designated, it is preferable to preferentially dispose of a banknote of a low denomination. Further, even when the denomination of the banknote to be dispensed is specified, it is preferable that the banknote of a lower denomination than the specified denomination is preferentially dispensed.
