Subsequently, the operation of the maintenance rotation restricting device 10 configured as described above will be described. As a part of the maintenance work of the automobile 1, it is necessary to remove a screw or the like provided at the connection portion between the axle 9 and the differential device 8.
Conventionally, when trying to turn the screw in a direction to remove the screw, the axle 9 also follows and idles, so the screw can not be removed. In order to make it easy to understand this situation, for example, referring to FIG. 4, there is a connecting member such as a bolt, a nut and the like connected to the axle 9 at the center of the disk rotor 31 Then, the disc rotor 31 and the axle 9 also rotate (idle). Further, even if it is assumed that there is a screw in a portion located in the connecting member 38, it is understood that when the screw is to be loosened, the disc rotor 31 and the axle 9 idle.
It is not impossible to restrict the rotation of the disc rotor 31 by mounting a rod member such as a wrench on the pair of connection members 38 if the screw or the like of the disc rotor 31 is used, but it is necessary to work with one hand. There is a problem that it is difficult to work because In addition, the connecting portion between the axle 9 and the differential 8 at the central portion of the vehicle body of the automobile 1 is constructed by a single worker while the wrench is thus bridged to the connecting member 38 at the end of the vehicle. There was a distance issue to loosen the screw.
Therefore, of the two workers, it was necessary to take charge of turning the screw of the connection part between the axle 9 and the differential 8 and take charge of stepping on the brake to prevent the axle 9 from turning, but maintenance By using the rotation restricting device 10, it can be performed by one worker. The details will be described below.
With the wheel of the tire portion 6 removed to expose the connecting member 38, the leg portion 18 of the rotation regulating device 10 for maintenance is positioned on the outer peripheral portion 34, and one connecting member 38 among the five connecting members 38. After the connection portion 22 of the maintenance rotation restricting device 10 is inserted, the nut portion is tightened and connected. Thereby, as shown in the left view of FIG. 4, the installation of the rotation regulating device for maintenance 10 is completed.
Next, when the screw provided at the connecting portion between the axle 9 and the differential 8 is turned, initially, the disc rotor 31 is also rotated along with the axle 9 following this, as shown in the upper right view of FIG. Thus, the leg 18 abuts on the brake caliper 32.
Here, in the rotation restricting device 10 for maintenance, since the extension portion 16, the connection portion 12 and the leg portion 18 are each rotatable, the leg portion 18 moves to a position where it firmly engages with the brake caliper 32 and the leg is The portion 18 catches on one end of the brake caliper 32.
In this state, the rotation of the disc rotor 31 is restricted even when the screw provided at the connection portion between the axle 9 and the differential 8 is turned, so the axle 9 also does not rotate. Thus, the screw can be loosened and the connection between the axle 9 and the differential 8 can be removed and serviced.
When the screw is tightened to connect the axle 9 and the differential 8 again after maintenance, the disc rotor 31 also rotates in the opposite direction to turn the screw in the opposite direction to the direction in which the screw is loosened. As shown in the figure below, in the brake caliper 32, the one end is in contact with the other end in the opposite direction and is caught.
Since the rotation of the disc rotor 31 is regulated as it is, the axle 9 does not rotate even if the screw is tightened. Therefore, the screw can be screwed firmly. Thus, after the tightening is completed, the nut portion is loosened, the connection portion 12 is removed, and the maintenance rotation restricting device 10 is removed.
As described above, by using the maintenance rotation restricting device 10, the maintenance work which has conventionally been performed by two workers can be performed by one person, and there is an advantage that the work efficiency can be enhanced.
Here, in order to make the drive system of the motor vehicle 1 intelligible, although it demonstrated by the simple structure, of course, it is effective also when the other apparatus is provided. For example, since the axle 9 is configured as a wheel hub (gloss) and a disc brake 30 through a differential gear (differential gear 8) to a hub carrier (knuckles, spindles, bearings), each portion Similarly, since the axles 9 rotate in conjunction with each other when attaching and detaching, the maintenance work can be efficiently performed by one worker by using the rotation regulating device 10 for maintenance.
