Description

MOBILE WASTE CONTAINER
Technical field
The invention refers to mobile waste containers and finds application in the field of garbage collection.
Background Art
The state of the art relates to patent EP 1 118 555, referred to a container for solid waste collection, comprising of a waste bin with front, back and two side walls, and a bottom. There is a rectangular board on the upper part of the bin, with a superstructure placed onto it, and a lid mounted above, and consisting of two parts. The lid is connected to a pedal-operated opening and closing mechanism, with a balancing elastic element mounted to the bin's lid and board. The lid can move in an arch-shaped slide, located on a lateral superstructure of the container, whereas the two parts of the lid can rotate in the slide, each one taking the opposite direction. The lower part of the bin has a moving mechanism mounted to it.
The well-known container has a complicated design of the closing and opening mechanism, since the lid is composed of two parts, making it more expensive. Apart from this, the pedal and the flush edge are set too high, which makes it difficult for the people of short stature or the disabled ones.
Summary of the invention
The purpose of the invention is to provide a waste container with a simple and reliable construction of the opening and closing mechanism, allowing at the same time for easy movement to the garbage collection truck and back to its place.
The problem is solved by a mobile waste container comprising of a waste bin with front, back and two side walls, and a bottom. There is a rectangular board on the upper part of the bin, with a superstructure placed onto it. A lid is mounted above the superstructure, and it is connected to the opening and closing mechanism by a pedal. A balancing elastic element is mounted to the bin's lid and board. The lower part of the bin has a moving mechanism mounted to it.
According to this invention, there is a rectangular grate assembled at the bottom of the bin, with grooves extending along the length and width of the grate. The front wall and side walls are inclined. The superstructure consists of two arch shaped walls with an outward inclination, connected to a rear wall with an inward slope. On the two of the opposite sides of the bin's board, are mounted fixed plates with a hole for pin. The lid of the bin has an upper arch-shaped wall, with a i cylindrical fold at both ends, and the side walls has an inward inclination. The lid is mounted to the pin by means of loops. The balancing elastic element consists of two springs, the one end of which is connected to the neck of loops, and the other end to the side walls of the superstructure. There is fixing device with holes provided for the lid, and a spring-loaded ball behind the upper hole. The mechanism for opening and closing the lid includes a shaft, supported by two bearings in two plates located at the lower part of the front wall of the bin. Both ends of the shaft have elbows, which are connected to the lid's loop by means of two hinged rods. The pedal is fixed permanently to the shaft.
According to one embodiment of the invention, there is an adaptor with a fork-shaped frame, used to move the waste bin, the middle part of which has the form of an inclined wall and a vertical wall. The slope of the inclined wall corresponds to the inclination of the front wall of the bin. The upper ends of the inclined and vertical walls have the shape of a comb and a comb seat. The adaptor has a front and two pairs of lateral lifting plates located in the front and side grooves of the bin's grate. A locking device is paced in the space at the end of the back groove of the grate. Road wheels are mounted to the adaptor, bearing on a vertical pin and fixed to the frame by means of a horizontal pin allowing for rotation, and a clamp for fixing in vertical position, when the vertical pin together with the wheel are in upright position. Next to the main wheels there are two pairs of road wheels, having a smaller diameter compared to the one of the main wheels. The frame has seats provided for this purpose.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the road wheels represent means to move the bin from one place to another, and these wheels are mounted under the grate or to the one side of the grate, by means of horizontal plates, vertical plates and connecting rods.
According to further embodiment of the invention an inclination of the front wall of the bin is twice as large as the inclination of the side walls of the bin.
The mobile waste container eases the consumers, because its simple construction reduces the effort required to open and close the lid, and at the same time eliminates the need for direct contact between the user and the container.
The adaptor for the mobile waste container allows the easy overcoming of obstacles while moving to the waste collection truck.
