Abstract

The claimed utility model relates to brake shoes for railway vehicles and for various kinds of rail transport. A brake shoe for a railway vehicle comprises a metal frame, a composite friction element and an insert. The insert is formed from a material having a lower coefficient of friction than the composite friction element on the working surface side of the shoe, and having a resistance to wear in the event of friction on steel that corresponds to the resistance to wear in the event of friction on steel of the material of the composite friction element. The uniformity of the wear of the shoe that is achievable owing to the correspondence between the wear resistances of the material of the insert and of the composite friction element prevents the insert from wearing out faster than the composite friction element, maintains frictional engagement between the surfaces of the insert and the wheel, and preserves the cleanability of the insert. The reliability and safety of the railway vehicle are enhanced as a result.

патент РФThe analogue of the claimed utility model is a brake shoe of a rail vehicle containing a metal frame, a composite friction element and an insert made of a material with less wear resistance and a greater friction coefficient than the material (composite) of the composite friction element from the working surface of the block (see RF Patent

The disadvantage of the analog is a lower wear resistance and a higher friction coefficient of the insert material (compared to the material of the composite friction element), which causes premature wear of the insert (as compared to the composite friction element), as a result of which the triple conjugation between the insert and the rolling surface of the wheel (specified in the analog “Advanced” wear of the insert), resulting in a reduction in the possibility for the insert to cleanse this surface from the impurities indicated in the analogue (including meals and snow). The closest analogue of the claimed utility model is a brake pad of a rail vehicle containing a metal frame, a composite friction element and an insert made of a material with less wear resistance and a lower friction coefficient than the material of a composite friction element from the working surface of the block (see RF Patent N Q 83817, IPC F16D 65/04, 2009). The essential features of the closest analogue “metal frame, composite friction element, insert made of a material with a lower friction coefficient” coincide with the essential features of the claimed utility model.
The disadvantage of the closest analogue is also the “advanced” wear of the insert, which breaks the tribo-equipment between the insert and the wheel rolling surface, which reduces the ability of the insert to clean the wheel surface, which also results in a decrease in vehicle reliability and safety.
Technical problem. The task, which is addressed by the claimed utility model, is to increase reliability and safety by eliminating the “advanced” wear of the insert by ensuring compliance with the wear resistance of the material of the insert and the material of the composite friction element.
To achieve the technical result in a brake shoe of a railway vehicle containing a metal frame, a composite friction element and an insert made of a material with a lower friction coefficient than the composite friction element on the side of the working surface of the block, the insert is made of a material whose wear resistance during friction steel corresponds to wear resistance under friction on steel of the material of the composite friction element.
The essential features of the proposed utility model "insert made of a material whose wear resistance during friction on steel corresponds to the wear resistance of the material of a composite friction element during friction on steel, are distinctive from signs of the closest analogue.
The brake shoe of a railroad vehicle contains a metal frame, for example, in the form of a suitably curved metal strip, to which a metal insert is fixed and a composite friction element is molded. The insert material has a lower coefficient of friction on steel than the coefficient of friction of a polymer composite material on steel. The wear resistance (linear wear) of the material of the insert for steel and the material of the composite friction element for steel correspond to each other (approximately equal). Description of the implementation of the claimed invention.
A specific example of the inventive brake pads of a rail vehicle is a block with a stamped metal frame, in the central part of which an insert of wear-resistant cast iron is fixed by welding. The composite friction element is made of a composite with a polymer matrix in which dispersed and fibrous fillers are placed. The coefficient of friction of the material of the insert together with steel grade 1 or 2 is 0.15-0.20. Linear wear paired with steel grade 1 or 2 not more than 0.13 mm (0.09 + 0.11 mm). The coefficient of friction of the material of the polymer composite friction element paired with steel grade 1 or 2 is 0.38-0, 55. Linear wear paired with steel grade 1 or 2 is not more than 0.13 mm (0.09-0, 11 mm ).
The inventive block can be manufactured by known methods, for example, by molding a molding mixture into a mold to a prefabricated framework with an insert.
Uniform wear of the pads, achieved by matching the wear resistance of the materials of the insert and the composite friction element, does not allow the “advanced” wear of the insert, does not disturb the friction of the surfaces of the insert and the wheel, retains the cleaning ability of the insert. As a result, the reliability and safety of the rail vehicle is increased.
