Definitions
- the present invention relates to an outer casing for a secondary battery and a secondary battery including the same.
- the secondary battery includes an electrode assembly composed of an anode and a cathode, and a separator interposed between the anode and the cathode, and a case accommodating the electrode assembly.
- the case of the secondary battery may take various forms such as a cylindrical case, a rectangular case, or a pouch-shaped case.
- the pouch type case is mainly used because it is particularly suitable for manufacturing a thin-walled cell and has a simple structure and easy fabrication.
- One embodiment of the present invention is to provide an outer sheath for a secondary battery which is improved in moisture barrier property and thinner and lighter.
- Another embodiment of the present invention provides a secondary battery including the outer sheath for the secondary battery.
- a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device comprising a first polymeric resin layer, a second polymeric resin layer located on a first surface of the first polymeric resin layer and attached via a first adhesive layer, wherein the first polymer resin layer and the second polymer resin layer each include a fluorine-containing resin, the inner resin layer being disposed on two sides of the outer surface of the first polymeric resin layer and having a second adhesive layer interposed therebetween.
- the present invention provides an electrode assembly, and a secondary battery including the outer casing for a secondary battery according to the present invention for accommodating the electrode assembly.
- the outer sheath for a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention has excellent moisture permeability and flexibility and can be made lighter and thinner even after an excessive molding process.
- the secondary battery according to another embodiment of the present invention employs a thinned outer sheath for a secondary battery, a thin secondary battery can be realized, and the energy density of electrons can be increased to increase the capacity of the secondary battery.
- FIGS. 1 to 4 each show a casing for a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view showing the secondary battery of FIG. 5 in an exploded state.
- the conventional pouch-type case generally comprises an inner resin layer, a moisture-barrier metal layer, and an outer resin layer.
- the moisture-blocking metal layer is made of a metal material, when the external force is exerted for molding, the water-barrier metal layer is damaged, moisture penetration into the secondary battery becomes easy, Causing deterioration of performance of the secondary battery and corrosion of the casing, thereby causing electrolyte leakage.
- the conventional pouch-type case includes a moisture barrier metal layer having a certain thickness or more, And the flexibility of the secondary battery is deteriorated.
- the inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive studies to solve such problems. As a result, it has been found that when at least two polymer resin layers containing a fluorine-containing resin are laminated and used in place of the moisture barrier metal layer, It is possible to obtain an exterior material for a secondary battery excellent in flexibility and completed the present invention.
- the outer sheath of the secondary battery according to the present invention uses a polymer resin as a material, the secondary battery can be made lighter and thinner, and when applied to a secondary battery, a thin secondary battery can be realized and a secondary battery with increased capacity can be obtained.
- FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a casing for a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the outer sheath 130 for a secondary battery includes a first polymer resin layer 31 and a second polymer resin layer 31 disposed on the first surface of the first polymer resin layer 31, And an inner resin layer 70 disposed on the second surface of the first polymer resin layer 31 and attached through the second adhesive layer 52.
- the second polymer resin layer 32 may be formed of a polymer resin.
- At this time, at least one of the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 may include a fluorine-containing resin.
- the fluorine-containing resin may be, for example, chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE), polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDF) ), Polyvinyl chloride (PVF), perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) Ethylene, ETFE), and ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE).
- CTFE chlorotrifluoroethylene
- PCTFE polychlorotrifluoroethylene
- PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene
- PVDF polyvinylidene chloride
- PFA polyvinyl chloride
- FEP perfluoroalkoxy
- FEP fluorinated ethylene propylene
- ETFE ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer
- ECTFE
- the fluorine-containing resin is transparent, it is easy to observe the state of the inner electrode assembly in the assembling process of applying the outer casing for the secondary battery to the secondary battery.
- the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 may be made of the same material.
- the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 are made of the same material as described above, since the first and second polymer resin layers 31 and 32 can have a uniform adhesive force, It is possible to prevent a problem that a portion having a low adhesive force at first is removed first.
- the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 may each have a thickness in the range of 10 ⁇ to 200 ⁇ , and more specifically, in the range of 10 ⁇ to 50 ⁇ or 10 ⁇ to 20 ⁇ Lt; / RTI >
- the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 satisfy the above ranges, the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 are laminated in multiple layers, So that it is possible to constitute an exterior material having various thicknesses by controlling the thickness of the exterior material. Further, there is an advantage that it is not necessary to separately use a separate member for protecting the exterior material including the first polymer resin layer 31 and the second polymer resin layer 32 from the external environment.
- the inner resin layer 70 is formed for improving the insulation property and electrolyte resistance of the outer shell 130 for the secondary battery, and may be formed of, for example, a copolymer of a polyolefin or a polyolefin. More specifically, The polyolefin may be polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), but is not limited thereto.
- PE polyethylene
