Abstract
The invention relates to the field of radar, and more particularly to radar means for automatically detecting, identifying and tracking different types of mobile objects (people, land and water vehicles, low-flying small targets, etc.) at any time of the day and in any season, inter alia under conditions of poor visibility. A radar station for site security comprises a transmitting and receiving device, a two-axis rotatable pedestal, a mains-operated power supply, a set of software products, a slotted waveguide receiving antenna and a slotted waveguide transmitting antenna, and a control and signalling means. The invention provides the automatic detection and tracking not only of mobile land and abovewater targets, but also of airborne targets (parachutists, glider pilots, drones); the automatic identification of the target type (technical/human) in the time that the radiation pattern of an all-round or sector-scanning antenna passes over a target; the training and focusing of an optoelectronic device on a detected target; the display of radar and video information on a single display of any personal computer; and operation of the invention in security systems with a network architecture.
