Only one supply pipe is shown but it will be understood that in a multicylinder internal combustion engine a supply pipe for each cylinder is provided, the pipes being spaced along the common rail with the objective that the pipes are all of the same length and as short as practicable. The pipes also may have different lengths depending on the engine geometry.

  • the mounting bracket 14 is much stronger and more durable than a simply pressed bracket because the loads applied to the bracket are distributed through the several parts of bracket which are all reinforced by the other parts of the bracket.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un support de montage (14) destiné à être utilisé avec un moteur à combustion interne. Le support de montage (14) comprend un corps façonné qui est en particulier formé à partir d'un matériau en tôle métallique par estampage, pressage ou emboutissage profond. Des parties sélectionnées du corps sont façonnées de façon à être juxtaposées et à être fixées l'une à l'autre. Le support est spécifiquement destiné à fixer un rail commun (2) d'un ensemble d'injection de carburant à un moteur à combustion interne à injection directe.
