Description

ガス分離装置
 本発明は、ガス分離膜を用いて、非炭化水素ガスを含むガスから非炭化水素ガスを分離するための技術分野に関する。
 井戸元から産出された天然ガスは、二酸化炭素(CO)ガス及び窒素(N)ガスなどの非炭化水素ガスを不純物として比較的多く含むものがあり、パイプラインガス(都市ガス)や液化天然ガス向けの原料としての製品ガスを得るためには、これら不純物を除去する必要がある。 
 天然ガスから不純物を除去する前処理の手法として、ガス分離膜を利用した手法が知られている。ガス分離膜は、分離膜を透過する前後での分離対象のガスの圧力差(分圧差)を駆動エネルギーとし、分離膜を透過するガスの速度差を利用してガス分離を行うものである。ガス分離膜を利用する手法は、省エネルギー化を図れ、取り扱いが容易である利点がある。
 ガス分離膜を用いたガス分離装置においては、ガス分離膜が高い分離性能を維持した状態で装置を運転すること、ガスの処理量(前処理が行われる天然ガスの流量)を多くすること、メンテナンスも含めた運転に伴うコストを低く抑えること、が要求される。 
 特許文献1には、
 被処理ガス中の炭酸ガスがゼオライト製管状分離膜を透過し、炭酸ガスを主成分とするガスが配管に流入すること、
 運転の適宜時期にポンプを作動させて炭酸ガスを主成分とするガスをリザーバタンクに導入すること、
 分離膜モジュールの起動時には、リザーバタンク内の炭酸ガスを分離膜に透過させることにより、分離膜に付着していた水分が分離膜から速やかに除去され、分離性能が回復すること、
 リザーバタンク内に炭酸ガスを主成分とするガスが貯留されていないときには、炭酸ガスボンベの炭酸ガスを用いて分離膜の乾燥を行うこと、
 が記載されている 。
 特許文献1に記載されている技術は、不純物による目詰まりとなることにより分離性能が低下した分離膜の分離性能をいかに効率よく回復させるかについては記載されていない。 
 特許文献2には、2個の水分離膜ユニットを用いて有機水溶液から水を分離するシステムが記載されている。システムの運転例として、一方の水分離膜ユニットを稼働させて粗エタノールから水を分離し、他方の水分離膜ユニットにおいては、減圧ポンプの減圧を利用してシステムの外から窒素ガスを供給して、水分離膜に蓄積されたエタノールを押し出し、押し出されたエタノールを含む窒素ガスが減圧ポンプにより吸引されることが記載されている。 
 特許文献2に記載されている技術は、システムの外から再生用の窒素ガスを供給しており、経済性が悪いという課題がある。

 本発明は、このような背景の下になされたものであり、その目的は、ガス分離膜を用いて、非炭化水素ガスを含む被処理ガスから非炭化水素ガスを分離するにあたって、稼働率の低下を抑えることができ、また経済性がよいガス分離装置を提供することにある。
 本発明のガス分離装置は、
 非炭化水素ガスを含む被処理ガス中の非炭化水素ガスがガス供給路を介して一次側に供給され、当該一次側から二次側に透過することにより、被処理ガス中の非炭化水素ガスを低減するガス分離膜を各々備え、互に並列に接続された複数の分離膜モジュールと、
 前記複数の分離膜モジュールの各々に接続され、透過ガスが流出する透過ガス流路と、
 前記複数の分離膜モジュールの各々に接続され、非透過ガスが流出する非透過ガス流路と、
 前記複数の分離膜モジュールのうち、稼働中の第1の分離膜モジュールを透過した透過ガスを、非稼働中の第2の分離膜モジュールの再生用ガスとして当該第2の分離膜モジュールのガス分離膜に供給するための再生用ガス流路と、
 前記再生用ガス流路に設けられた再生用バルブと、
 前記複数の分離膜モジュールの一次側の各々に接続された前記ガス供給路に設けられた供給用バルブと、
 前記第2の分離膜モジュールの供給用バルブを閉じて当該第2の分離膜モジュールを非稼働状態とし、前記再生用バルブを開いて供給される再生用ガスにより、当該第2の分離膜モジュールの再生を行うように構成したことを特徴とする。
 本発明は、互に並列に接続された複数の分離膜モジュールのうち、稼働中の第1の分離膜モジュールを透過した透過ガスを、非稼働中の第2の分離膜モジュールの再生用ガスとして当該第2の分離膜モジュールのガス分離膜に供給している。従って、外部から再生用ガスを供給することなく、装置を運転しながら分離膜モジュールを再生することができる。即ち、本発明によれば、装置の稼働率の低下を抑えることができ、また経済性がよいという効果がある。

 [第1の実施形態] 
 本発明のガス分離装置を、被処理ガスである天然ガス中の非炭化水素ガスである二酸化炭素(CO)を分離する場合に適用した実施形態について説明する。なお、説明の便宜上、二酸化炭素ガスの「ガス」は省略して記述する。天然ガスには二酸化炭素が含まれており、天然ガスを処理して液化天然ガスを製造する出荷基地においては、例えば天然ガス中の二酸化炭素の分離工程の後、天然ガスの液化が行われる。天然ガス中の二酸化炭素の濃度は、ガス田により差異があるが、例えば5~80モル%である。 
 図1は、本発明のガス分離装置の第1の実施形態を示す図である。天然ガスのガス供給路は、第1のガス供給路11及び第2のガス供給路21に分岐されている。第1のガス供給路11及びび第2のガス供給路21は、夫々第1の分離膜モジュール1の一次側の入口及び第2の分離膜モジュール2の一次側の入口に接続されている。第1のガス供給路11及び第2のガス供給路21には、夫々供給用バルブであるバルブV10、V20が接続されている。即ち、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2は、互に並列に接続されている。
 これら分離膜モジュール1、2は、例えば各々分離膜が形成された一以上の管状体が筐体の中に配置され、一次側である管状体の外面側の領域に供給された天然ガス中の二酸化炭素が管状体を透過して、二次側(ガス透過側)である管状体の内面側に流入するように構成されている。なお、管状体の内面側の領域を一次側とし、管状体の外面側の領域を二次側としてもよい。管状体は、例えば多孔質セラミックなどからなる基材の表面に無機膜である例えばゼオライト膜を成膜したものが用いられる。各図においては、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2を略解図として記載し、分離膜を100として示している。
 第1の分離膜モジュール1の一次側の出口には、分離膜100を透過しなかった非透過ガスが流出する非透過ガス流路12が接続されている。第1の分離膜モジュール1の二次側の出口には、分離膜100を透過した透過ガスが流出する透過ガス流路13が接続されている。透過ガス流路13は、外部に向かうガス流路であるが、途中で分岐されて分岐路14の一端側が接続されている。分岐路14には、バルブV11が設けられている。 
 第2の分離膜モジュール2のガス流路に関しても、第1の分離膜モジュール1のガス流路と同様に設けられている。22は非透過ガス流路、23は、透過ガス流路、24は分岐路、V21はバルブである。
 分岐路14、24の他端側は合流して、例えば熱交換器からなる加熱部41の一端側に接続されている。加熱部41の他端側の流路(分岐路14、24の合流路)は、分岐路15、25に分岐されている。分岐路15は第2のガス供給路21における供給バルブV20の下流側に接続されている(第2のガス供給路21に合流されている)。従って分岐路15の一端側及び他端側は夫々加熱部41及び第2の分離膜モジュール2の一次側に接続されていると言える。 
 分岐路25は第1のガス供給路11における供給バルブV10の下流側に接続されている。分岐路15、25には、夫々バルブV12、V22が接続されている。
 この例では、透過ガス流路13の一部、分岐路14、15、既述の合流路、及びガス供給路21の一部は、第2の分離膜モジュール2を再生するための再生用ガスを当該第2の分離膜モジュール2に供給するための再生用ガス流路に相当する。また透過ガス流路23の一部、分岐路24、25、既述の合流路、及びガス供給路11の一部は、第1の分離膜モジュール1を再生するための再生用ガスを当該第1の分離膜モジュール1に供給するための再生用ガス流路に相当する。再生用ガス流路のうち、加熱部41の一端側の流路及び他端側の流路は、夫々前段ガス流路、後段ガス流路に相当する。バルブV10、V20は、各々供給用バルブに相当し、バルブV11、V12、V21、V22は各々再生用バルブに相当する。 
 またガス分離装置は、図示していないが、既述のバルブを操作するための制御信号を出力する制御部を備えている。
 次に上述実施形態の作用について説明する。例えばバルブV10を開き、バルブV20を閉じた状態とする。前処理にて水分が除去された天然ガスは第1の分離膜モジュール1の一次側に供給され、第2の分離膜モジュール2には供給されないため、第1の分離膜モジュール1は稼働状態となり、第2の分離膜モジュール2は非稼働状態となる。このとき再生用ガス流路のバルブV11、V12は開かれ、バルブV21、V22は閉じられている。図面においては、バルブを開いた状態を白抜きで示し、バルブを閉じた状態を斜線で示している。
 分離膜100は、一次側及び二次側の二酸化炭素の分圧差を駆動エネルギーとして、天然ガスから二酸化炭素を分離する。例えば透過ガス流路13、23(分岐路14、24の分岐点よりも上流側あるいは下流側)に設けられた図示しない圧力制御バルブを調節することにより前記分圧差が所定の値に設定される。従って、稼働中である第1の分離膜モジュール1の一次側に供給された天然ガス中の二酸化炭素は分離膜100を透過して透過ガス流路13に透過ガスとして流出し、分離膜100を透過しなかった非透過ガスである、二酸化炭素濃度が低減された天然ガスは、非透過ガス流路12に流出する。
 第1の分離膜モジュール1の透過ガスである二酸化炭素(正確に言えば二酸化炭素を主成分とするガス)は、ガス分離装置の外部に送られると共に、透過ガスの一部は分岐路14、加熱部41、分岐路15及び第2のガス供給路21を通って非稼働状態である第2の分離膜モジュール2の一次側に再生用ガスとして供給される。加熱部41は、例えば二酸化炭素が60℃~300℃となるように構成される。
 ここで本発明で用いられる分離膜モジュールについて説明しておく。本発明にて使用している分離膜モジュールは、運転時間が長くなると、透過率(透過性能)が低下する。別の言い方をすれば、新品の分離膜モジュールの膜の面積(有効面積)をS0としたとき、ある運転時間を経過した時の透過ガスの流量を新品の分離膜モジュールの初期時における透過ガスの流量と同じにするための膜の面積をStとすると、運転時間が増加することにより、St/S0の値が大きくなるということである。
 本発明者は、透過率が低下した分離膜モジュールに対して例えば一次側から二次側に不活性ガスを通流させることにより当該分離膜モジュールの透過率が運転初期時の透過率に復帰すること、即ち当該分離膜モジュールを再生できること、を把握している。そして常温の不活性ガスを再生用ガスとして用いても分離膜モジュールの再生を行うことができるが、不活性ガスを加熱することにより、再生に要する時間が短縮されることも把握している。一例を挙げると、例えば150℃に加熱された不活性ガスを使用した場合には、9時間で分離膜モジュールの透過性能が復帰する。
 本発明者は、分離膜モジュールの透過性能が低下する要因としては、分離膜を構成するゼオライトの細孔内に不純物(主に炭化水素類)が吸着し、不純物の吸着量が増加することに起因していると推定している。このため例えば二酸化炭素を加熱することにより分離膜に熱を与えて不純物の分子運動を促し、細孔内から飛び出す不純物を二酸化炭素のガス流に乗せて分離膜から取り除くことができると考えられる。 
 例えば常温の二酸化炭素を用いても、不純物が二酸化炭素のガス流に乗るが、不純物を十分除去するために要する時間が、分離膜を加熱する場合よりも長くなることから、二酸化炭素を加熱することが得策である。分離膜を加熱する手法としては、分離膜を直接加熱するようにしてもよい。分離膜を直接加熱する手法としては、分離膜モジュールを構成する筐体にヒータを設けて、筐体から分離膜に伝熱させる手法であってもよいし、あるいは筐体に赤外ランプを設けて輻射熱で分離膜を加熱するようにしてもよい。分離膜を直接加熱することと、二酸化炭素を加熱部41で加熱することとを併用してもよい。
 図1に戻って、再生用ガスを第2の分離膜モジュール2の一次側に供給することにより、当該第2の分離膜モジュール2の分離膜100における一次側の二酸化炭素の圧力と二次側の二酸化炭素圧力との差分に対応した量だけ二酸化炭素が二次側に透過し、透過ガス流路23を介してガス分離装置の外部に流出する。また分離膜100を透過しなかった非透過ガスは、非透過ガス流路22を介してガス分離装置の外部に流出する。
 第2の分離膜モジュール2における一次側と二次側との圧力差は、例えば再生用ガス流路の一部である第1の分離膜モジュール1側の分岐路14に設けた図示しない圧力制御バルブを調節することにより所定の値に設定される。この圧力調節バルブによる圧力調節は、再生用ガスが加熱部41及び第2の分離膜モジュール2を通るときの圧力損失を考慮して行われる。 
 こうして第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生が行われ、例えば9時間再生を行った後、当該第2の分離膜モジュール2を稼働させ、第1の分離膜モジュール1を非稼働状態とする。
 即ち、バルブV10を閉じ、バルブV20を開いた状態とする。そして再生用ガス流路のバルブV11、V12を閉じ、バルブV21、V22を開く。稼働中である第2の分離膜モジュール2の一次側に供給された天然ガス中の二酸化炭素は分離膜100を透過して透過ガス流路23に透過ガスとして流出し、分離膜100を透過しなかった非透過ガスは非透過ガス流路22に流出する。
 第2の分離膜モジュール2の透過ガスである二酸化炭素は、ガス分離装置の下流側に送られると共に、透過ガスの一部は分岐路24、加熱部41、分岐路25及び第1のガス供給路11を通って非稼働状態である第1の分離膜モジュール1の一次側に再生用ガスとして供給される。既述のようにして第1の分離膜モジュール1について再生を所定時間行った後は、図1の状態となるように各バルブの開閉を行い、第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生を行う。こうして第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2は、一方を稼働状態とし他方を非稼働状態として、交互に再生が行われる。
 分離膜モジュール1(2)の再生を行う時間については、この例では9時間の例を挙げている。しかしシステムの運用などに応じて例えば2時間であってもよいが、例えば6時間以上再生することが好ましい。再生を行う時間とは、分離モジュール1(2)に再生用ガスを供給する時間であり、上述の例では、バルブV10、V11、V12が開かれかつV20、V21、V22が閉じられた状態が確立した時点からバルブV20、V21、V22が開かれかつV10、V11、V12が閉じられた状態が確立した時点までである。従って、再生を行う時間とは、再生の対象となる分離膜モジュールについて、再生のためのバルブの操作終了時から運転ラインへの復帰(稼働)のためのバルブの操作終了時までであるということもできる。
 上述の実施形態によれば、互に並列に接続された第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2のうち、稼働中の一の分離膜モジュール1(2)を透過した透過ガスを、非稼働中の他の分離膜モジュール2(1)の再生用ガスとして当該他の分離膜モジュール2(1)のガス分離膜100の一次側に供給している。従って、外部から再生用ガスを供給することなく、装置を運転しながら分離膜モジュール2(1)を再生することができるので、装置の稼働率の低下を抑えることができ、また経済性がよいという効果がある。 
 一方、稼働率や膜再生による分離性能向上率などを考慮すると、長時間の再生は経済性を悪化させることにつながるため、例えば、再生時間は60時間以下とすることが好ましい。 
 そして第1の分離膜モジュール1を再生するための再生用ガス及び第2の分離膜モジュール2を再生するための再生用ガスを共通の加熱部41により加熱するようにしているため、装置構成が簡素化され、コストの低廉化に寄与する。
 上述の第1の実施形態は、例えば図2に示すように構成してもよい。図2に示す例では、透過ガス流路13、23に圧力制御バルブPV1、PV2と圧力検出部101、201とを設けている。圧力制御バルブPV1、PV2は、透過ガス流路13、23における分岐路14、24の分岐点の上流側及び下流側のいずれに配置してもよいが、この例では、前記分岐点の下流側に配置している。102、202はコントローラであり、圧力検出部101、201の圧力検出値に基づいて圧力制御バルブPV1、PV2の開度を調整し、透過ガス流路13、23の圧力を制御する。
 また分岐路14、24に流量調節バルブFV1、FV2と流量検出部103、203とを設けている。104、204はコントローラであり、流量検出部103、203の流量検出値に基づいて流量調節バルブFV1、FV2の開度を調整し、分岐路14、24の流量を制御する。 
 この例において、例えば第1の分離膜モジュール1から第2の分離膜モジュール2に再生用ガスを供給する場合、第2の分離膜モジュール2側の流量調整バルブFV2を閉じておく。そして圧力制御バルブPV1により透過ガス流路13の圧力を設定圧力となるように制御すると共に、流量調節バルブFV1により、分岐路14に流れる再生用ガスの流量を設定流量となるように制御する。このとき第2の分離膜モジュール2側の圧力制御バルブPV2は全開の状態とされ、圧力制御は行わない。
第2の分離膜モジュール2から第1の分離膜モジュール1に再生用ガスを供給する場合においても、圧力制御バルブPV2、流量調節バルブFV2を用いて同様に制御する。
 [第2の実施形態] 
 図3は本発明の第2の実施形態を示している。第1の実施形態と異なる構成は、
a)透過ガス流路13、23に夫々減圧用流路16、26の一端側を接続したこと、 
b)減圧用流路16、26の各他端側を合流し、合流路に減圧機構である減圧ポンプ42を設けたこと、
c)減圧用流路16、26に夫々バルブV13、V23を設けたこと、
d)透過ガス流路13、23において、減圧用流路16、26の分岐点の下流側に夫々バルブV14、V24を設けたこと、
e)再生されている分離膜モジュール2(1)の一次側と二次側との差圧は、減圧ポンプ42による真空引きにより発生していること、
 である。
 図3は、第1の分離膜モジュール1を稼働状態、第2の分離膜モジュール2を非稼働状態とし、第1の分離膜モジュール1の透過ガスを再生用ガスとして用いて第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生を行っている状態を示している。この場合には、バルブV13及びV14を夫々「閉」、「開」の状態とし、バルブV23及びV24を夫々「開」、「閉」の状態としている。 
 このため第1の分離膜モジュール1の透過ガスは再生用ガスとして利用されると共にバルブV14を介して装置の外部に流出する。また第2の分離膜モジュール2の透過ガスは減圧用流路26を介して減圧ポンプ42により引き抜かれる。なお、減圧ポンプ42の一次側に圧力調整バルブを設けて、減圧用流路26の圧力を調節してもよい。
 この例においては、第2の分離膜モジュール2内の圧力が低いので、加熱された二酸化炭素により当該第2の分離膜モジュールの分離膜100を加熱しようとすると、伝熱性が悪い。このため減圧ポンプ42を停止させておくか、あるいは減圧用流路26のバルブV23を閉じかつ透過ガス流路23のバルブV24を開いておくことにより、第2の分離膜モジュール2内の圧力を高くして、二酸化炭素の熱を分離膜100に伝熱させるようにしてもよい。この場合には、分離膜100が十分に加熱された後、減圧ポンプ42により第2の分離膜モジュール2の二次側を真空引きする。
 また第2の分離膜モジュールの分離膜100を加熱する手法としては、既述のように当該第2の分離膜モジュール100を直接加熱する手法を採用してもよい。 
 第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生が所定時間行われた後は、各バルブの「開」、「閉」の状態を逆にすることで、第1の分離膜モジュール1は非稼働状態となって、稼働状態となった第2の分離膜モジュール2を透過した透過ガスにより再生される。
 [第3の実施形態] 
 本発明の第3の実施形態は、再生用ガスを分離膜モジュール2(1)の一次側の出口に供給する例である。構成の説明に関しては同じ説明の繰り返しを避けるために、部位に付した符号に加え、当該部位に対応する部位の符号を括弧内に記載することにより、括弧がない符号の部位同士の説明と、括弧内の符号の部位同士の説明とを同時に行っている。
 図4に示すように、第1の分離膜モジュール1(2)の再生用ガスの供給先、即ち再生用ガス流路である分岐路15(25)の他端側は、第2の分離膜モジュール2(1)の一次側の出口側に接続された非透過ガス流路22(12)に合流されている。非透過ガス流路22(12)において合流位置よりも下流側にはバルブV25(V15)が設けられている。更に第2の分離膜モジュール2(1)のガス供給路21(11)において、バルブV20(V10)の下流側からは再生用ガス流出路17(27)が分岐され、再生用ガス流出路17(27)の下流側はバルブV16(V26)を介して、非透過ガス流路22におけるバルブV25(V15)の下流側に合流している。
 図4は、第1の分離膜モジュール1が稼働状態であり、第1の分離膜モジュール1の透過ガスを再生用ガスとして、非稼働状態の第2の分離膜モジュール2の一次側の出口に供給している状態を示している。第2の分離膜モジュール2内に一次側の出口から供給された再生用ガスである二酸化炭素は、第1の実施形態と同様に二次側に透過すると共に透過しなかった二酸化炭素は、再生用ガス流出路17、バルブV16及び非透過ガス流路22を介して装置の外部に流出する。 
 第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生が終了した後は、バルブの「開」、「閉」の状態を逆にすることで、第2の分離膜モジュール2を稼働状態とし、第1の分離膜モジュール1の再生が行われる。
 [第4の実施形態] 
 本発明の第4の実施形態は、図5に示すように再生用ガスを分離膜モジュール2(1)の二次側に供給する例である。第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2の各二次側は、再生用ガス流路43により互に接続されている。当該再生用ガス流路43には、再生用バルブであるバルブV17及びV27が設けられ、これらバルブV17、V27の間には加熱部41が設けられている。
  再生用ガス流路43の一端側は、第1の分離膜モジュール1の二次側にて、透過ガス流路13の接続口とは異なる接続口に接続され、再生用ガス流路43の他端側は、第2の分離膜モジュール2の二次側にて、透過ガス流路23の接続口とは異なる接続口に接続されている。 
 また再生用ガス流路43において、第1の分離膜モジュール1とバルブV17との間の部位から分岐路431を分岐すると共に、第2の分離膜モジュール2とバルブV27との間の部位から分岐路432を分岐している。各分岐路431、432には、夫々バルブV18、V28を設けている。
 図5は、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2が夫々稼働状態及び非稼働状態であり、第2の分離膜モジュール2を再生している状態を示している。バルブV17及びV27を開いておくことにより、第1の分離膜モジュール1の透過ガス(二酸化炭素)が再生用ガスとして第2の分離膜モジュール2の二次側に流入し、分離膜100を透過して一次側に流出する。このときバルブ18を開き、バルブ28を閉じておく。再生用ガスの一部は透過ガス流路23から外部に流出する。
 第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生が終了した後は、バルブV10を閉じ、バルブV20を開くと共に、バルブV18を閉じ、バルブV28を開くことにより、第1の分離膜モジュール1の再生が行われる。なお、バルブV17、V27を閉じることにより、分離膜モジュール1、2を同時に稼働状態にすることもできる 。
 このように再生用ガスを分離膜モジュールの二次側から一次側に透過させることによっても、分離膜モジュールの再生を行うことができる。
 この場合、第2の実施形態(図3参照)として記載したように、再生用ガスが分離膜モジュールを透過した後に流れるガス流路を減圧するように減圧機構を設ける構成としてもよい。再生用ガスが分離膜モジュールを透過した後に流れるガス流路とは、図3の例では、分離膜モジュールの二次側のガス流路である透過ガス流路13、23であり、図5の例では、一次側のガス流路である非透過ガス流路12、22である。
 [第5の実施形態] 
 本発明の第5の実施形態は、図6に示すように再生用ガス流路である分岐路14、24の他端側を合流させずに、夫々加熱部41A、41Bを介してガス供給路21、22に接続している。既述の第1の実施形態は、第2の分離膜モジュール2を再生するための再生用ガスの加熱及び第1の分離膜モジュール1を再生するための再生用ガスの加熱を共通の加熱部41により加熱している点で第5の実施形態よりも得策であるが、第5の実施形態であっても本発明の効果が得られる。
 [第6の実施形態] 
 第1の実施形態から第5の実施形態では、第1の分離膜モジュール1と第2の分離膜モジュール2とを交互に稼働状態としているが、本発明は、3個以上の分離膜モジュールを用いて例えば順番に非稼働状態としかつ再生を行うようにしてもよい。このような例の一つである、本発明の第6の実施形態を図7~図9に示す。第6の実施形態では、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2に加えて第3の分離膜モジュール3を用いている。
 図7において、図1に対応する部位については図1に用いた符号と同じ符号を用いている。31は、ガス供給路、バルブV30はガス供給バルブ、32は非透過ガス流路、33は透過ガス流路、34は分岐路、V31はバルブである。第3の分離膜モジュール3の透過ガス流路33から分岐した分岐路34は、分岐路14、24と合流し、合流路の下流側にて分岐路71、72、73に分岐している。合流路には加熱部41が設けられている。分岐路71、72、73における分岐点と反対側の端部は、夫々ガス供給路11、21、31におけるガス供給バルブV10、V20、V30の下流側に接続されている。
 図7は、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第3の分離膜モジュール3を稼働状態とし、第2の分離膜モジュール2を非稼働状態にすると共に、第1の分離膜モジュール1から第2の分離膜モジュール2に再生用ガスを供給して第2の分離膜モジュール2を再生している状態を示している。 
 図8は、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2を稼働状態とし、第3の分離膜モジュール3を非稼働状態にすると共に、第2の分離膜モジュール2から第3の分離膜モジュール3に再生用ガスを供給して第3の分離膜モジュール3を再生している状態を示している。 
 図9は、第2の分離膜モジュール2及び第3の分離膜モジュール3を稼働状態とし、第1の分離膜モジュール1を非稼働状態にすると共に、第3の分離膜モジュール3から第1の分離膜モジュール1に再生用ガスを供給して第1の分離膜モジュール2を再生している状態を示している。
 第3の実施形態では、このような運用に限らず、例えば図7に示す状態である、第2の分離膜モジュール2の再生が終了した後に、第1の分離膜モジュール1の透過ガスを用いて第3の分離膜モジュール3の再生を行うなどの運用であってもよい。
 以上説明した実施形態1~実施形態6においては、第1の分離膜モジュール1及び第2の分離膜モジュール2が並列に接続されている構成を示している。しかしLNGの製造システムにおいては、複数の分離膜モジュールを直列に接続する場合、即ち前段の分離膜モジュールの透過ガス流路が後段の分離膜モジュールのガス供給路となるように順次接続する場合が多い。この場合には、直列接続された複数の分離膜モジュールの群の複数が互いに並列に接続されることになる。本発明は、このような構成においても当然適用できる。
 本発明で使用される被処理ガスは、天然ガスにかぎられるものではなく、バイオガスであってもよい。また透過ガスは二酸化炭素に限られず窒素であってもよく、従って被処理ガスとしては窒素を含有するガスであってもよい。

 

Claims (6)

  1.  非炭化水素ガスを含む被処理ガス中の非炭化水素ガスがガス供給路を介して一次側に供給され、当該一次側から二次側に透過することにより、被処理ガス中の非炭化水素ガスを低減するガス分離膜を各々備え、互に並列に接続された複数の分離膜モジュールと、
     前記複数の分離膜モジュールの各々に接続され、透過ガスが流出する透過ガス流路と、
     前記複数の分離膜モジュールの各々に接続され、非透過ガスが流出する非透過ガス流路と、
     前記複数の分離膜モジュールのうち、稼働中の第1の分離膜モジュールを透過した透過ガスを、非稼働中の第2の分離膜モジュールの再生用ガスとして当該第2の分離膜モジュールのガス分離膜に供給するための再生用ガス流路と、
     前記再生用ガス流路に設けられた再生用バルブと、
     前記複数の分離膜モジュールの一次側の各々に接続された前記ガス供給路に設けられた供給用バルブと、
     前記第2の分離膜モジュールの供給用バルブを閉じて当該第2の分離膜モジュールを非稼働状態とし、前記再生用バルブを開いて供給される再生用ガスにより、当該第2の分離膜モジュールの再生を行うように構成したことを特徴とするガス分離装置。
  2.  前記非稼働中の第2の分離膜モジュールの再生を行うときには、当該第2の分離膜モジュール及び前記再生用ガスの少なくとも一方を加熱するための加熱部を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のガス分離装置。
  3.  前記再生用ガス流路は、前記第2の分離膜モジュールの一次側に接続され、
     前記第2の分離膜モジュールの供給用バルブを閉じると共に前記再生用バルブを開くように制御信号を出力する制御部を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のガス分離装置。
  4.  再生が行われている前記第2の分離膜モジュールの一次側のガス流路及び二次側のガス流路のうち、再生用ガスが分離膜モジュールを透過した後に流れるガス流路を減圧するための減圧機構を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のガス分離装置。
  5.  前記再生用ガス流路は、前記複数の分離膜モジュールの各々の二次側に一端側が接続され、他端側が共通の加熱部の一端側に接続された前段ガス流路と、前記加熱部の他端側にその一端側が接続され、他端側が分岐して前記複数の分離膜モジュールの各々の一次側に接続された後段ガス流路と、を備え、
     前記前段ガス流路、及び分岐している前記後段ガス流路の各々に再生用バルブが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項3記載のガス分離装置。
  6.  前記非稼働中の他の分離膜モジュールの再生を開始してから、再生が終了するまでの時間は2時間以上であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のガス分離装置。
