Description

A DISHWASHER
The present invention relates to a dishwasher with improved washing efficiency.
As known, dishwashers generally comprise lower and upper baskets placed in the washing tub, in which the kitchenware to be washed can be placed. The items are loaded on or removed from the basket by each basket being moved out of the washing tub. A spray arm connected to the water line is provided below each basket, spraying water on the items placed on the basket by rotating about itself. Washing is performed by spraying water coming through a main supply line on the dishes by means of the spray arms. Spraying members provided on the spray arm enable spraying of water on the dishes by a certain pressure. The dishes are thus cleaned. It is intended for the water sprayed from the spray arm to reach the largest area. Therefore, the spray arms may be of varying structures and shapes. Usually, spray arms located below the baskets are used, rotating about themselves on a central axis. Such spray arms form a circular washing area. However, water cannot reach the dishes placed on the corners of the quadrilateral baskets provided as per the structure of the dishwasher. Therefore, the dishes remaining on the corners cannot be cleaned.
State of the art European patent document no. EP2671494 discloses a dishwasher having a spray arm with increased scanning area.
The aim of the present invention is to realize a dishwasher with improved washing efficiency.
The dishwasher realized to achieve the aim of the present invention and disclosed in the first claim and the dependent claims, comprises a body, a washing tub provided on the body, in which washing is performed, a door enabling isolating the washing tub from the outer environment, and a plurality of spray arms provided on the washing tub, enabling spraying water on the items to be washed.
The dishwasher of the invention comprises a spray arm whose one end is fixed on the washing tub, and the other end is making a rotary motion. While one of the spray arms move, the other one is unmoved. By this means, the spray arms are avoided from obstructing each other when they move.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises a spray arm having a first position and a second position. The first position is provided when the spray arm is parallel to the door or to the rear wall opposite of the door, and the second position is provided when the spray arm is parallel to the side walls.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises a first spray arm which is parallel to the door or to the rear wall of the washing tub. A second spray arm is provided right across the first spray arm. The first spray arm and the second spray arm are parallel to each other when they are unmoved.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises a circulation pump enabling water to reach the washing tub, and a plurality of water channels enabling water to reach the spray arms. The water channels extend from the circulation pump towards the first spray arm and the second spray arm. The water channels extending to the first spray arm and to the second spray arm have different lengths.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises the water channels enabling the first spray arm and the second spray arm to be in alternate positions. By means of the water channels, the second spray arm assumes the second position when the first spray arm is in the first position. By this means, the spray arms are avoided from obstructing each other.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises a plurality of nozzles provided on the spray arms, enabling water to be sprayed to the washing tub. By means of the nozzles, the spray arms are enabled to displace between the first position and the second position.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises a control unit enabling the first spray arm and the second spray arm to be in alternate positions. The spray arms are enabled to be in alternate positions at the same time by means of the control unit.
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher comprises a control unit enabling the first spray arm and the second spray arm to change positions. The spray arms displace between the positions by means of the control unit.
The dishwasher realized to achieve the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the dishwasher.

The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2), a washing tub (3) provided on the body (2), in which washing is performed, a door (4) enabling isolating the washing tub (3) from the outer environment, and a plurality of spray arms (5) provided on the base of the washing tub (T) spraying water on the items to be washed. The items to be washed are placed in the washing tub (3). Pressurized water is sprayed on the items to be washed by means of the spray arms (5). The items are thus cleaned. (Figure 1 and Figure 2)
The dishwasher (1) of the invention comprises spray arms (5) with one end fixed on the washing tub (3), and the other end making a rotary motion, one of the arms being unmoved when the other one is moving. When one of the spray arms (5) is moving, the other one rests. By this means, the spray arms (5) are avoided from obstructing each other's movements. One end of a spray arm (5) is fixed on the washing tub base (T) and the other end is making rotary motion in parallel to the washing tub base (T). By this means, water is enabled to reach all regions within the washing tub (3). (Figure 3)
In an embodiment of the invention the dishwasher (1) comprises the spray arm (5) having a first position (A) in which it is parallel to the door (4) and the rear wall (D) of the washing tub (3), and a second position (B) in which it is parallel to the side walls (Y) of the washing tub (3). A spray arm (5) assumes the first position (A) when it is parallel to the door (4) and the rear wall of the washing tub (3). Scanning takes place between the first position (A) and the second position (B). Beginning from the first position (A), the spray arm (5) assumes the second position (B) by making a rotary motion. (Figure 4)
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a first spray arm (5a) provided so as to be parallel to any one of the walls of the washing tub (3) or to the door (4), and by a second spray arm (5b) provided opposite to the first spray arm (5a). The first spray arm (5a) and the second spray arm (5b) are disposed opposite from each other so as to be in parallel to each other. The lengths of the spray arms (5) are equal. (Figure 3)
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a circulation pump (6) enabling water to reach the washing tub (3), and a plurality of water channels (7) in different lengths, extending from the circulation pump (6) to the first spray arm (5a) and to the second spray arm (5b) and enabling water to reach the spray arms (5). Water reaches from the mains line into the washing tub (3) by means of the circulation pump (6). The water arriving to the washing tub (3) is transmitted to the spray arms (5) by means of the water line. The water lines extending to the first spray arm (5a) and to the second spray arm (5b) have different lengths. Phase difference is thus provided. The spray arms (5) are transmitted water in alternating times. (Figure 5)
In an embodiment of the invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the water channel (7) enabling the second spray arm (5b) or the first spray arm (5a) to be in the second position (B) when the first spray arm (5a) or the second spray arm (5b) is in the first position (A).
