- a steel plate (material steel plate) as a starting material may be referred to as “blank”.
- the blank is usually a flat steel plate and has a planar shape corresponding to the shape of the press-formed product (P) to be manufactured.
- the thickness and physical properties of the blank are selected according to the characteristics required for the press-formed product (P). For example, when the press-formed product (P) is a structural member for automobiles, a blank corresponding to the press-molded product (P) is selected.
- the thickness of the blank may be, for example, in the range of 0.4 mm to 4.0 mm, or in the range of 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm.
- the thickness of the press-formed product (P) of the present embodiment is determined by the thickness of the blank and the processing step, and may be in the range of the thickness of the blank exemplified here.
- the blank is preferably a high-tensile steel plate (high-tensile material) having a tensile strength of 340 MPa or more (for example, 490 MPa or more, 590 MPa or more, 780 MPa or more, 980 MPa or more, or 1200 MPa or more).
- the blank preferably has a high tensile strength, and more preferably 590 MPa or more (for example, 980 MPa or more, or 1180 MPa or more).
- the tensile strength of the press-formed product (P) of this embodiment is usually equal to or higher than the tensile strength of the blank, and may be in the range exemplified here.
- the second step may be performed by hot stamping (hot pressing).
- hot stamping hot pressing
- the tensile strength of the blank is high, a cold press tends to cause a crack at the tip of the protrusion. Therefore, when using a blank having a tensile strength of 590 MPa or more (for example, 780 MPa or more), it is preferable to perform the second step by hot stamping.
- the second step may be performed by hot stamping.
- hot stamping you may use the blank which has a well-known composition suitable for it.
- the second step by hot stamping When the tensile strength of the blank is 590 MPa or more and the wall thickness is 1.4 mm or more, it is particularly preferable to perform the second step by hot stamping in order to suppress the occurrence of cracks at the protrusions. For the same reason, when the tensile strength of the blank is 780 MPa or more and the wall thickness is 0.8 mm or more, it is particularly preferable to perform the second step by hot stamping. Since the heated steel sheet has high ductility, when the second step is performed by hot stamping, cracks are less likely to occur even if the thickness of the blank is 3.2 mm.
- Patent Documents 4, 5, and 6 do not disclose a manufacturing method using hot stamping. However, as described above, when using a high tensile strength material, it is preferable to perform the second step by hot stamping.
- the deformation in the first step is usually not so great. Therefore, regardless of the tensile strength of the blank, the first step can usually be performed by cold working (for example, cold pressing). However, you may perform a 1st process by hot processing (for example, hot press) as needed. In a preferred example, the first step is performed by cold working, and the second step is performed by hot stamping.
- hot stamping An example of hot stamping is described below.
- a workpiece (blank or preform) is heated to a predetermined quenching temperature.
- the quenching temperature is a temperature higher than the A3 transformation point (more specifically, the Ac3 transformation point) at which the workpiece becomes austenite, and may be, for example, 910 ° C. or higher.
- the heated workpiece is pressed by a press device. Since the workpiece is heated, cracks are unlikely to occur even if it is greatly deformed.
- the workpiece is rapidly cooled when the workpiece is pressed. Due to this rapid cooling, the workpiece is quenched during press working.
- the workpiece can be rapidly cooled by cooling the mold or ejecting water from the mold toward the workpiece.
- the hot stamping procedure such as heating and pressing
- the apparatus used therefor and known procedures and apparatuses may be used.
- the second step may be performed using a lower die, an upper die, and a press die including a slide die that can move in the horizontal direction toward the lower die.
- the second step may include the following step (i) and step (ii).
- Step (i) is a step of restraining the two first portions (portions that become the vertical wall portions) by the lower die and the slide die.
- step (ii) the second portion (the portion that becomes the top plate portion) is pressed by the lower die and the upper die while the two first portions are constrained, and the upper die and the slide die are used. This is a step of forming a press-formed product by pressing the surplus portion.
- the lower mold may include a lower mold body and a pad connected to the lower mold body through an expansion / contraction mechanism.
- the manufacturing method of this embodiment may include the step (iii) and the step (iv).
- Step (iii) is a step of raising the press-molded product by releasing the restraint (restraint of the vertical wall portion) by the lower die and the slide die and raising the upper die and the pad after the step (ii). is there.
- Step (iv) is a step of separating the slide mold from the lower mold after the step (iii).
- the manufacturing method of the present embodiment includes a third step of forming the flange portion after the second step. But you can. An example of a method for forming the flange portion will be described in a third embodiment.

- the steel plate 101b constituting the protruding portion 115 is invisible by the steel plate 101a.
- Such a part may be called a negative angle part.
- the negative angle portion is a portion having an inverse gradient when press molding is performed only with the upper die and the lower die.
- the angle X formed by the top plate portion 112 and the overlapping portion 115d is preferably greater than 180 ° and not greater than 270 °. If the angle X is within this range, the overlapping portion 115d (inner steel plate 101b) of the protrusion 115 is not in close contact with the vertical wall 111, and a gap is secured between the protrusion 115 and the vertical wall 111. Is done. Thereby, when a collision load is applied to the top plate portion 112, the stress applied to the top plate portion 112 is dispersed in the corner portion 114 and the protruding portion 115, and the vertical wall is formed so as to maintain the shape of the corner portion 114. Added to part 111.
- the entire vertical wall 111 is subjected to stress, and the impact characteristics are improved. Further, since the corner portion 114 is locally deformed and the vertical wall portion 111 is prevented from falling around the corner portion 114 as a fulcrum, even if the vertical wall portion 111 is deformed, the inner side Deforms to fall down.

- the radius of curvature r of the corner portion 114 may be in the range of 3 to 15 mm (for example, in the range of 3 to 10 mm). However, the curvature radius r is shorter than the length of the protrusion 115 in the cross section.
- the lower limit of the radius of curvature r of the corner portion 114 may be a larger value of half the plate thickness of the steel plate 101 and 1 mm.
- the upper limit of the radius of curvature r of the corner portion 114 may be 10 times the plate thickness. If the radius of curvature r is too small, the stress is not sufficiently distributed at the corner portion 114, and there is a possibility that the corner portion 114 will break at the time of collision. Further, if the curvature radius r is too small, the overlapping portion 115d of the projecting portion 115 is in close contact with the vertical wall portion 111, and stress at the time of collision may be concentrated on the close contact portion and the vertical wall portion 111 may be broken.
- the gap between the projecting portion 115 and the vertical wall portion 111 be at least one of half the plate thickness and 1 mm.
- the radius of curvature r of the corner portion 114 means more specifically the radius of curvature of the outer surface 114s of the corner portion 114 in the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the press-formed product 100.
- the outer surface 114 s of the corner portion 114 is a surface located over the upper end 111 sp of the outer surface 111 s of the vertical wall portion 111 and the upper end 101 bsp of the surface 101 bs of the steel plate 101 b constituting the protruding portion 115.
