Definitions
- the present invention relates to a closure for bottles composed of a cap and a cork stopper or a similar flexible material, which allows manual opening and closing, without the need to use auxiliary elements such as bottle openers.
- Bottles and other liquid container containers especially those intended to house wine, incorporate closures that must allow for easy opening while preventing external environmental conditions from affecting the contents.
- Caps with coupling to the bottle by means of threading are also known, but the closure they perform does not guarantee a tightness over time.
- the implementation of this type of screw caps requires modifying the equipment used in bottling plants or even acquiring new ones, with the consequent increase in costs.
- the object of the invention consists of a closure for bottles that allows manual opening and closing in a simple manner, without the need for a corkscrew or similar element, or for any type of drilling or additional manipulation that may cause deterioration in its structure and, therefore, reduce its capacity of closure and isolation.
- the closure allows a capping that generates the same conditions as those obtained by the usual capping in relation to vacuum conditions, gas injection, etc.
- the closure comprises an essentially annular geometry bushing, with a central hole in which a plug, preferably of cork, is partially coupled by pressure.
- the closure cap has an essentially cylindrical geometry, and is intended to be coupled by pressure, anchoring or adhesion at the upper end of the neck of a bottle, so that it seals both said neck and the outward outlet, preventing at the same time the passage towards the interior space of the bottle of harmful elements, and on the other the pouring towards the outside of the liquid contained in said bottle.
- the closure bushing further comprises a tubular extension that hugs part of the surface of the plug. In use, the cap is intended to remain qualified so that it exceeds the upper end of the neck of the bottle, while the tubular extension is inserted into said neck. It is further contemplated the incorporation of a milled model to the lateral face of the bushing to increase its roughness and thus facilitate its grip and handling.
- the closure thus described allows the manual opening and closing of the bottle, without the need for the use of bottle openers, corkscrews or additional devices, simply by traction, rotation or compression manually produced by the user himself on the side face of the cap. thus extract it or introduce it. Likewise, it can be used in bottling machines designed to introduce pressurized cork stoppers into the neck of the bottle while maintaining the same closing characteristics, and modifications to said equipment are not necessary, with the consequent cost savings.
- the closure bushing further comprises a surface that can be used to add information related to the product, the warehouse or the like.
- the closure can be reused repeatedly, for the same bottle or for bottles that have lost their own closure, since it does not deteriorate as it is not necessary to pierce it, and ensures the maintenance of the contents of the bottle in perfect condition by allowing a coupling that insulate the interior from external conditions.
- the bushing comprises an upper side portion and a lower side portion, and a tubular extension extending axially downward from the upper surface, a space intended to receive the neck of the bottle being radially defined between the extension and of the lateral portions.
- the extension comprises a threaded on its inner radial face.
- Figure 1. Shows a rear perspective view of the closure bushing according to a first embodiment.
- Figure 2. Shows a front perspective view of the bushing of Figure 1.
- Figure 3. Shows a front perspective view of the closure of Figure 1 or 2.
- Figure 4. It shows a detailed view of a longitudinal section made in a closure according to the first embodiment co-located in a bottle.
- Figure 5 Shows a longitudinal sectional view of a closure according to a second embodiment.
- Figure 6 Shows a longitudinal sectional view of a closure according to a third embodiment. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
- the closure 0 for bottles described is formed by a bushing 1 of essentially annular geometry, and a plug 2 of elastic material partially linked to the bushing 1 as shown in the attached figures.
- the bushing 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises an upper face 3, a lower face 4 opposite the upper face 3, a lateral face 5 defined between the upper faces 3 and lower 4, a central hole 6, through the upper 3 and lower faces 4 and a tubular extension 7 which, starting from the lower face 4, extends longitudinally from the perimeter edge of the hole 6.
- the plug 2 of essentially cylindrical geometry, is partially housed in the hole 6 and in the tubular extension 7 of the bushing 1, as seen in Figure 3, in which it is pressed under pressure until one of its ends is flush with the upper face 3 of said bushing 1.
- the inner face of the hole 6 of the bushing 1 can also incorporate a milled, not shown, model to increase the contact surface with the plug 2, thus ensuring the union between said plug 2 and the bushing 1.
- the closure 0 thus described is linked to the bottle to which it is intended to be closed by the introduction of the cap 2 under pressure and the tubular extension 7 inside the neck, until the lower face 4 of the cap 1 rests on the mouth of exit, to which seal as illustrated in figure 4. This arrangement ensures adequate sealing, and also allows the removal and manual introduction of the closure 0 without using corkscrews, bottle openers or similar auxiliary elements, or performing any drilling, it is only necessary to act manually on the bushing 1.
- the closure 10 comprises a socket 1 1 comprising an upper face 12, a lower face 13, an upper lateral portion 14 and a lower lateral portion 15.
- the portions 14 and 15 are cylindrical around an example of symmetry of the sleeve 1 1 .
- the axial cutting section of portions 14 and 15 is substantially circular.
- the inner diameter of the axial cutting section of the portion 14 is smaller than that of the axial cutting section of the portion 1 5.
- a truncated conical portion 1 6 joins portions 14 and 1 5.
- the side face of the bushing 1 1 is formed by the portions 14, 15 and 16.
- the bushing 1 1 comprises a tubular extension 1 7 extending axially downward from the upper face 12.
- the tubular extension 17 is cylindrical around the axis of symmetry of the bushing 1 1 and has a circular axial section.
- the extension 17 delimits the through hole 6.
- the extension 1 7 On its inner radial face, the extension 1 7 comprises a plurality of tangential grooves 1 8.
- the grooves 1 8 allow a more effective grip of the plug during the opening of the closure 10.
- the extension 17 comprises tangential striations
- the inner face of the hole 6 of the bushing 1 1 can incorporate another type of surface to increase the contact surface with the plug.
- the closure 10 comprises a cap (not shown) having the same characteristics as the cap 2 of the closure 0 according to the first embodiment.
- the plug is partially housed in the hole 6. More precisely, an upper part of the plug is housed in the hole 6 and a lower part of the plug projects downwards of the bushing 1 1.
- the closure 10 presents in particular the advantage of not needing to change the conditioning lines and the bottle cartons that are generally perfectly adjusted to the height of the bottles.
- the closure 20 differs from the closure 1 0 in that the bush 1 1 does not comprise the splines 1 8. Instead, the closure 20 comprises an internal filleting 21.
- the filleting 21 allows, after having inserted a cap with the help of a bottling machine in the neck of the bottle, to raise the cap and thus open the bottle by simply rotating a rotation on the bushing 1 1.
