Description
LOW HEIGHT MOBILE SCAFFOLD WITH PLATFORM
Technical area this patent relates to
This invention relates to the field of household industry as supporting device for the work at certain heights. It is specially adjusted to long-lasting work process with protecting fence and great mobility and installing speed and preparation for the work, i.e., to ladder scaffold of low height and primarily leaned against the ground.
According to the International classification of patents this invention is marked with classification symbols E04G 1/00, E04G 1/08, E04G 1/28, E04G 1/30 and E06G 1/32.
Technical problem
Technical problem that is solved by this invention is the following: how to design mobile scaffold to provide great mobility and free moving when working at low heights including all construction works inside and outside, handling construction materials, building, repair, demolition, work with all installations at existing construction objects, while the protecting fence at all four sides enables safety at work and together with big working surface gives conveniences and great productivity. Overlapping system and locking bolts provides great mobility enabling quick transportation and
preparation for work.
Present situation
Market itself and technical documentation offer several kinds of scaffolds of different purposes. As an illustration, it is offered only some of them belonging to this field of technic although they are not similar by its design and purpose, to this solution explained in this application.
The patent application number KR20130112476 displays ladder-scaffold having design with the profiles and four wheels with several treads, and fixed top platform predicted for greater height. These are clumsy and not demountable. The patent application US20 7319600 offers mountable ladder aimed for installation at moving shafts or vehicles; while patent application WO2010084135 offers design with two unequal legs able to extend, and one of the legs is adjusted for work at stairways.
Searching through patent documentation and reviewing professional literature and assortment on the market within this field, I have realized that nothing similar was offered as solution for this exposed technical problem.
The invention
The said scaffold is presented with two modes including one tread and one platform, and two treads and one platform. It is possible to add several treads when needed.
This patent enables performance of all construction works at low heights and together with protective fence and great mobility using wheels and small mass, offers more possibilities in work and safety for workers. When it is in transportation mode, it occupies very small space and it is ideal for short-lasting works and continual assembling and disassembling. Contrary to the ordinary pillar, this invention gives varied conveniences at work thanks to the size of working surface-platform, protecting fence, and its mobility and small weight. It is primarily aimed for
construction industry including all internal and external works at low heights (2.6m - 3.2m EU standard for ceiling height), with height of working tread of 0.6m - 1.05m. Its weight of 13 kg is several times lower than similar solutions at western market and it is compact both, in transportation and working modes which provides extreme mobility in construction business. At the same time, the working platform is almost three times larger than competitive solutions enabling much longer working hours and better spread working against wall or ceiling surface without moving scaffold including less fatigue when working. Together with small weight it offers extreme mobility in working and transporting regimes. It has scissors system, the possibility for overlapping and locking as the most favourable solution, which is, in fact, simple and functional solution.
Brief description of the sketch
The invention is described in details using performing example displayed in sketch as follows:
Figure 1 : Scaffold in working mode prepared for work. Figure 2: Scaffold in transportation mode or folded up.
Figure 3: Scaffold in working mode prepared for work according to second mode of performance.
Figure 4: Scaffold in transportation mode or folded up according to second mode of performance.
The subject scaffold is presented in two modes of operations; or with one tread and one platform; and two treads and one platform; while it is possible to add several treads when needed.
Detailed description of invention
The scaffold, according to the Figure 1 and Figure 2, contains several mobile and immobile elements and sets forming a compact unit. It has four vertical H profiles, i.e. two rear profiles 3 which are welded at the top with crossbar 12; and two front profiles 4. Profiles 3 and 4, upper crossbar 5, lower crossbar 6 and middle crossbar have platform fixed by solid connection of plate L profiles (20 of them in total) and four plate T profiles 2 using pop-rivets, screw nuts, rivets and other. Regarding
construction, the latest are identical as L profiles except they have T-form with one
another hole which serves for locking in working mode while making one another solid connection with front side and the bolt 8. This provides fixed connection between all elements and the construction stability.
Two wheels 10 are positioned in their bearings at lower front part of the scaffold and they serve for easy moving and manoeuvring of the scaffold. Locking and securing is done by the bolt 8 and chain 11 fixed at upper front part of the profile 4 which disable the profile moving 4, i.e. making connection between profile 2 and profile 4.
Profile 4 at the front side makes a set of two longitudinal profiles and one transversal profile which are connected by welding at set dimensions. There is a ribbed tin on the transversal profile bended in the U form and it serves as the first auxiliary step 9 leading to the platform 7. On the vertical profiles are holes drilled per set dimensions which serve as mobile connection over the profile 1 and profile 2 with transversal crossbars ad platform 7. The connection between profile 1 and vertical profiles 4 is performed by screws and nuts or any other means based on axis. The solid connection and locking the complete construction can be gained by pulling the bolt 8 between profile 2 and profile 4, making one box construction resistant to axial and radial moving.
The platform 7 makes a set of longitudinal and transversal profiles welded at set dimensions, and plain surface for standing is of the ribbed tin and L profile through which it is connected with the profiles 3 and profiles 4. The bolt 8 is done of a steel bar of the same diameter as holes on profiles 4 at the front side of the profile 2. The lower front profile 4 contains fixed auxiliary step 9 which provides access to the platform 7. Chain 11 (it could be a cord or rope) serves as protection for workers and it makes closed boxing around workers preventing falling down from the platform.
Figure 3 and Figure 4 illustrate the way of the invention execution which is different than basic-the first way of performance only in the number of steps depending on the height of the platform 7. This application form displays additional step 9. It is possible to add several more steps in which case is necessary to extend dimensions of the profile 3 and profile 4, and also to lift the platform 7.
Assembling is simple because the scaffold should be just turned round its axes which exist on the connections of the profiles 1 and 2.
Industrial and other application
This invention is to be applied in all areas of any industry where is demanding to work at small heights including safety and protection at work. It is primarily aimed for construction industry at all working places in any phase of process during building, repair, mounting, demounting, demolition, and similar. It fulfills needs in other fields of work such as retail facilities, supermarkets, offices, maintaining and cleaning services, and everywhere when need to work at low heights.
