Description
DESCRIPTION
MULTI-DRUM ROTARY FILTER SYSTEM FOR INCREASING FILTER SURFACE AREA
IN AIR CONDITIONING, VENTILATING AND CLEANING SYSTEMS
The Related Art
The invention relates to the filtering part of air conditioning, ventilation, and cleaning systems mostly used in textile industry.
The invention relates to a multi-drum rotary filter system used in air filtering operation and allowing more air to be filtered with low pressure loss by taking up a small volume.
The Prior Art
Nowadays, the size of the textile mills, and therefore their production capacities, have increased a few folds in comparison to old businesses. However, old-type systems continue to be used in filtration systems. The use of the old-type filters causes the air conditioning systems' volume to increase and sometimes prevents installation of adequate number of filter equipments. Operational problems arise from the way of stance of the filters or the production efficiency is reduced due to insufficient filter surfaces. This situation causes serious economic loss for the enterprises. Considering these situations, the previous rotary filter systems are inadequate.
These rotary filter systems of the previous method cause the lack of sufficient filtering surface in the mills with narrow service areas. Moreover, it also leads to increased air conditioning and construction costs in today's high production capacity mills. In this case, the investment costs in air conditioning filter systems are very high and especially the producers of textiles (yarn, fabric) are affected negatively. The technical content of the patent application No. TR2010 / 06958 relates to providing a rotary drum pressure difference filter, which allows a layer of filter media to be continually refreshed through a spray applicator after the components have been filtered through a sample medium and a portion of the layer is then scraped off to scratch the sample medium waste from the substrate. Filtration methods using this device are also provided with systems using two or more such filters.
The technical content of the patent application TR2007 / 04616 relates to a filter assembly, which serves to separate materials that are insoluble in liquids, particularly in wastewater treatment and water treatment. This has been assigned to rotate into a container and is wrapped by the liquid to be filtered. The filter mechanism consists of a plurality of spaced apart filter elements which are assembled together as a single rotating filter. The task of the invention is to prevent sticking of solid materials to the filter during the filtering process. This is achieved by the fact that the rotary filter has a hollow chamber in the center and a ventilation mechanism is provided in this hollow chamber, around which the filter mechanism rotates. By means of the air-liquid mixture flowing upwards, the filters are constantly cleaned during the filtration process.

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the invention are only disclosed for better understanding of the subject without forming any limiting effect.
Figure 1 depicts is a perspective view of the multi-drum rotary filter system (100) according to the invention. The invention particularly allows air filtering operation with more air to be filtered with low pressure loss by taking up a smaller volume.
Cleaning of the air coming from the operation environment is made by means of a filtering component (106) covered over a plurality of rotary drum filters (104) used in air conditioning plants. Increase is obtained in filtering component (106) total surface area by using a multitude of rotary drum filters (104) in the same installation volume with the previous systems.
The rotational motion of the rotary drum filter (104) around its own axis is achieved by means of the drive taken from the drive component (102). Transmission of the motion taken from the drive component (102) (preferably motor reducer) to the rotary drum filter (104) is made by means of a transmission component (105). A strong carrier foot (101) system is developed at the front and rear sides so as to ensure fixing of all the movable parts and allow them to perform their functions. In order to be able to prevent slipping in rotary drum filters (104), the number of ground fixing points is increased for the carrier foot (101).
Transmission of the motion taken from the drive component (102) to the rotary drum filters (104) and assigning the directions of rotation of the rotary drum filters (104) are made by means of the gearbox (103).
The rotational motion taken from the drive component (102) is transmitted to the mobile transmission box (201) by means of the transmission component (105). The motion taken by
the mobile transmission box (201) is transferred to the mobile movable bed (202). The suction component (203) that keeps the filter clean by sucking the dusts accumulating on the filtering component (106) that covers the outer surface of the rotary drum filter (104) makes back-and-forth movement on the surface of the rotary drum filters (104) by means of the mobile movable bed (202). With these back-and-forth movements, the suction component (203) is ensured to sweep the area and thus the surfaces of the multitude of rotary drum filters (104) would be kept clean all the time. The rotational speed of the rotary drum filters (104) is increased so as to perform more sweeping in cycle time and the rotary drum filters (104) are allowed to be cleaned quicker by means of the mobile suction mechanism (200).
