- the embodiment of the present invention first provides a video playback control method. As shown in FIG. 1 , the method may include the following steps:
- step S110 when the electronic device caches the video data corresponding to the video to be played, The preset playback duration of the video to be played.
- the preset playing duration of the video to be played may be obtained by acquiring a historical playing record of the video.
- the length of the video that is watched before the user views the video that is, the preset playing time of the video to be played, is to be obtained, so that the video to be played is cached too much.
- the user does not completely watch the resource waste caused by the cached video, and can also avoid the problem that the user waits too long when the video is too much to be played.
- the length of the cache to be played once is too short, the user may be stuck during the viewing of the video to be played.
- the preset play duration of the video to be played is calculated by using the historical play record of the video to be played
- the average viewing time of the user can be calculated in a statistical manner, and the average viewing time is used as the to-be-played video.
- the preset playback time can be performed by sampling.
- step S120 the cache rate of the video to be played by the electronic device is obtained.
- the cache rate of the video to be played by the electronic device is the download rate of the video to be played by the electronic device.
- the percentage of the video to be played may be downloaded, for example, the video data of the video to be played every second is to be played. The percentage of the cached data for the video.
- the cache rate of the video to be played can be obtained by multiplying the current network speed of the electronic device by the code rate of the video to be played, and the ratio of the cache amount to the total amount of the video to be played is the cache. rate.
- the current electronic device downloads 1M size of cached data every second. If the total size of the video to be played is 100M, 1/100 is the buffering rate of the to-be-played video.
- step S130 the initial buffer duration of the video to be played is determined according to the preset playing duration and the buffering rate.
- the size of the video of the to-be-played video in the preset playing time can be determined by the electronic device. Since the video to be played is cached from the beginning to the end of the playback, the electronic device has been After the video to be played is cached, the total buffer length may be subtracted from the preset playback duration to obtain an initial buffer duration, which is the user waiting time required to cache the video to be played.
- step S140 when the buffer duration of the video data of the video to be played is equal to the initial buffer duration, the video data of the to-be-played video buffered by the electronic device is played.
- the electronic device starts to buffer the to-be-played video, which is equivalent to the to time in FIG. 2.
- the video player of the electronic device starts playing the cached video data until playing. Time t2. Therefore, during the period from t1 to t2, it is necessary to ensure that the electronic device smoothly plays the cached video data, and there is no jamming phenomenon in the middle.
- the duration between t0 and t1 is called the buffer duration, that is, the user waits for the duration, and is required to
- the video buffer data buffered within the buffer duration can be played from time t1 to time t2.
- the duration between t1 and t2 is referred to as the preset playback duration of the video to be played.
- the video playback control method when the electronic device caches the video data corresponding to the video to be played, obtains the preset playback duration of the video to be played, and determines the cache rate of the to-be-played video by the electronic device to determine the to-be-played video.
- the initial buffering duration of the played video When the buffering duration of the video data of the video to be played is equal to the initial buffering duration, the playing electronic device caches the video data of the video to be played. This can effectively prevent the waste of resources caused by too much video buffer to be played and the problem that the user waits for too long, and can also avoid the phenomenon that the user has a small amount of video buffers to be played when watching the video to be played.
- step S130 may further include the following steps:
- step S131 the total buffer duration required for the electronic device to play the video data corresponding to the preset playing duration is calculated.

- FIG. S130 can also include the following steps:
- step S133 the first preset cache duration and the second preset cache duration are respectively acquired.
- the first preset cache duration is less than the second cache duration.
- step S134 the first calculation duration is compared with the first preset cache duration and the second preset cache duration.
- step S135 when the first buffer duration is less than the first preset cache duration, the first cache duration is used as the initial cache duration.
- step S136 when the first cache duration is not less than the first preset cache duration, and the first cache duration is not greater than the second preset cache duration, the first cache duration is used as the initial cache duration.
- step S137 when the first buffer duration is greater than the second preset cache duration, the second preset duration is used as the initial cache duration.
- the first preset cache duration and the second preset cache duration in the embodiment of the present invention are preset.
- the first preset cache duration may be 3 seconds
- the second preset cache duration may be It is 8 seconds, which can be adjusted as needed.
- the initial buffer duration is determined by comparing the calculated first calculation duration with the first preset cache duration and the second preset cache duration. In this way, the initial cache duration is determined, which not only caches the cached video data that meets the user's playback requirements, but also avoids the possibility that the user will give up watching because the waiting time is too long.
- step S110 may further include the following steps:
- step S111 a history play record of the video to be played is acquired.
- step S112 the average play duration of the video to be played is calculated.
- step S113 the average play duration is used as the preset play duration of the video to be played.
- the historical play record of the to-be-played video refers to viewing the historical play status of the to-be-played video. For example, many users prefer to view the video to be played in a drag-and-drop manner, and then count the average viewing time of the video to be played every time the user views the video; if there are more users watching the video to be played, a number of samples can be extracted by sampling.
- the historical viewing status of the user, and then calculating the average viewing time of each viewing when the user views the to-be-played video, that is, the average playing time of the video to be played, then the average playing time can be used as the preset playing of the to-be-played video. duration.
- the embodiment of the present invention adapts the preset playback duration to meet the playback requirements of most users, so that each time the user jumps, the corresponding video data can be cached to avoid buffering too much video data without being timely. When viewing, the resulting resources are wasted and the user has high waiting time.
- step S110 may further include the following steps:
- step S114 the video type of the video to be played is acquired.
- step S115 an average play duration of the video corresponding to the video type is acquired.
- step S116 the average play duration is used as the preset play duration of the video to be played.
- the preset playing duration may be determined by using the foregoing embodiment; when the video to be played is just online, generally There is enough historical play history or no history play record at all, so other methods are needed to determine the preset play duration.

- the video type of the to-be-played video is news, it can be obtained.
- the average playing time of news videos, and the average playing time of each type of video can be pre-stated.
- the average playing duration corresponding to the type of the video to be played is used as the preset playing duration of the to-be-played video. Since the playing habits of the same type of video users are similar, it is useful for determining the preset playing duration of the video to be played. In this way, in the case that the to-be-played video has no history play record, the preset play duration is determined in time to avoid buffering excessive video data without being viewed by the user in time, resulting in waste of resources and high waiting time of the user.
- the video playback control method when the electronic device caches the video data corresponding to the video to be played, obtains the preset playback duration of the video to be played, and determines the cache rate of the to-be-played video by the electronic device to determine the to-be-played video.
