Description
本発明は、狭持具及び動物の取り扱い方法に関する。
ペットを落ち着かせたいときに落ち着かせることができれば、飼い主にとってこんなにうれしいことはない。そのような観点から、ペットをリラックスさせるためのペットのマッサージ器具等が開示されている(例えば、特許文献1等参照)。
しかしながら、ペットをすぐに落ち着かせることができるような器具はいまだ作成されておらず、そのような器具の開発に試行錯誤が繰り返されている。
本発明は、上記実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、四足歩行のほ乳類を容易に落ち着かせることができる狭持具及び動物の取り扱い方法を提供することを目的とする。
上記目的を達成するために、本発明の第1の観点に係る狭持具は、
互いに連結され、連結された部分を中心に開閉可能で、ほ乳類の体を狭持する一対の狭持片と、

以下、本発明の実施の形態について、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
実施の形態1.
図1に示すように、本実施の形態1に係る狭持具100は、一対の狭持片1A,1Bと、押圧部2A,2Bと、弾性部材3と、操作部4A,4Bとを備える。本実施の形態では、四足歩行するほ乳類として犬を対象とする。

また、一対の狭持片1A,1Bにおいて、押圧部2A,2Bが設けられていない他の端部には、操作部4A,4Bが設けられている。図2に示すように、操作部4A,4Bは、一対の狭持片1A,1Bを開く方向に操作可能である。操作部4A,4Bがあれば、狭持具100を操作し易くなる。
弾性部材3は、各押圧部2A,2Bが当接する方向に、一対の狭持片1A,1Bを付勢する。この弾性部材3により、操作部4A,4Bで操作しない状態では、図1に示すように、押圧部2A,2B同士が当接する状態となる。弾性部材3の弾性力は、押圧部2A,2Bにおいて上記筋肉を押圧する力(犬の体を狭持する力)が適切な大きさとなるように設定されている。本実施の形態では、弾性部材3は、ピンチリングである。
本実施の形態に係る動物の取り扱い方法では、図3に示すように、本実施の形態に係る狭持具100を用いて、四足歩行のほ乳類のラストリブとタックアップとの間の筋肉(斜線で示される部分L)を両側から狭持して刺激する。その部分Lに刺激を与えられた犬は、一般的に服従行動をとり、落ち着くようになる。
次に、本実施の形態に係る犬の取り扱い方法について説明する。
まず、図4に示すように、四足歩行のほ乳類のラストリブとタックアップとの間の筋肉を両側から狭持して狭持具100で押圧する(ステップS1;第1のステップ)。犬が交尾を行う際には、雄が雌の上に乗って、ラストリブとタックアップとの間を両前足で押さえ、雌を落ち着かせるのが一般的である。そこで、ここではその原理を利用し、図5に示すように、狭持具100を用いて、ラストリブとタックアップとの間の部分Lを狭持して押圧し、刺激を与え、犬を落ち着かせることができる。
続いて、狭持具100で押圧された犬が落ち着いた状態で、犬を取り扱う(ステップS2;第2のステップ)。犬の取り扱いには、例えば、トリミングや、訓練などがある。
ここで、大型犬、小型犬等様々な犬を対象として、狭持具100なしの場合と、狭持具100を装着した場合との違いを比較した。図6Aには、狭持具100が装着されていない状態での心拍数及び呼吸数の変化が示されている。また、図6Bには、狭持具100を装着された状態での心拍数及び呼吸数の変化が示されている。図6A及び図6Bにおいて、折れ線は、心拍数及び呼吸数の平均値を示し、縦線は標準偏差を示している。また、時間軸におけるPreは計時直前の状態を示す。
図6Aに示すように、狭持具100が装着されていない状態では、30分間における心拍数の平均は120回/分から100回/分に変化しており、呼吸数の平均は、75回/分から70回/分に変化している。一方、図6Bに示すように、狭持具100が装着されている状態では、30分間における心拍数の平均は130回/分から100回/分に低下しており、呼吸数の平均は、45回/分から30回/分に変化している。したがって、狭持具100を装着した方が、30分間における心拍数及び呼吸数の低下量は大きくなっており、狭持具100の装着が動物をより落ち着かせていることが明らかとなった。
以上詳細に説明したように、本実施の形態によれば、ラストリブとタックアップとの間を抑えれば、四足歩行のほ乳類を落ち着かせることができることを示している。本実施の形態によれば、このことを利用して、ラストリブとタックアップとの間を押圧するので、四足歩行のほ乳類を容易に落ち着かせることができる。
実施の形態2.
図7に示すように、本実施の形態に係る狭持具101は、上記実施の形態1に係る狭持具100と構成はほぼ同じである。なお、本実施の形態では、押圧部2A,2Bは、狭持片1A,1Bに対して脱着可能となっており、図7では、押圧部はセットされていない。図8に示すように、狭持具101は、弾性部材3の代わりに、弾性部材13を用いている点が上記実施の形態1に係る狭持具100と異なる。
図7に示すように、本実施の形態に係る狭持具101は、上記実施の形態1に係る狭持具100と構成はほぼ同じである。なお、本実施の形態では、押圧部2A,2Bは、狭持片1A,1Bに対して脱着可能となっており、図7では、押圧部はセットされていない。図8に示すように、狭持具101は、弾性部材3の代わりに、弾性部材13を用いている点が上記実施の形態1に係る狭持具100と異なる。
弾性部材13は、トーションバネである。弾性部材13を用いれば、外にバネが露出することがないので、器具全体の小型化を図ることができるうえ、見栄えを良くすることができる。
実施の形態3.
図9、図10、図11に示すように、本実施の形態に係る狭持具102は、押圧部2A,2Bの代わりに、押圧部12A,12B、22A,22B、32A,32Bを備える。押圧部12A,12Bでは、押圧する部分が小さくなっており、押圧部22A,22Bでは、全体が球形となっており、押圧部32A,32Bでは、全体が卵形となっている。押圧部12A,12B、22A,22B、32A,32Bは、いずれも狭持片1A,1Bに対して脱着可能となっており、付け替え可能である。押圧する部分の面積、形状が異なる押圧部を揃えれば、押圧部を付け替えることにより押圧力を調整することができるので、対象となる動物に最も適した押圧部を選択し、リラックス効果をより高めることができる。

また、ラストリブとタックアップとの間に限らず、首の後ろを挟む場合にも、狭持具100を用いることができる。首の後ろの部分は、子供の頃に親に噛まれて運ばれる部分であり、この部分を刺激されると、子供がおとなしくなるためである。しかしながら、首の後ろは口に近いため、興奮した動物に対しては、まず、ラストリブとタックアップとの間に狭持具100を装着させ、落ち着かせてから、首の後ろにも狭持具100を装着するようにするのが望ましい。
なお、本実施の形態では、犬のトリミングを行う場合について説明したが、本発明はこれには限られない。例えば、単に飼い主がペットを落ち着かせて、寝かせたり遊んだりするだけでもよい。
また、本実施の形態に係る狭持具100は、回転軸10を中心に、一対の狭持片1A,1Bを開閉するものであったが、本発明はこれには限られない。例えば、一対の狭持片1A,1Bは、弾性部材3で連結されるものであってもよいし、一体に成形されたものであってもよい。
この発明は、この発明の広義の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく、様々な実施の形態及び変形が可能とされるものである。また、上述した実施の形態は、この発明を説明するためのものであり、この発明の範囲を限定するものではない。すなわち、この発明の範囲は、実施の形態ではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示される。そして、特許請求の範囲内及びそれと同等の発明の意義の範囲内で施される様々な変形が、この発明の範囲内とみなされる。
なお、本願については、2016年5月31日に出願された日本国特許出願2016-108858号を基礎とする優先権を主張し、本明細書中に日本国特許出願2016-108858号の明細書、特許請求の範囲、図面全体を参照として取り込むものとする。
本発明は、四足歩行のほ乳類を落ち着かせるのに用いることができる。

Claims (9)
- 互いに連結され、連結された部分を中心に開閉可能で、ほ乳類の体を狭持する一対の狭持片と、
前記各狭持片に、互いに向かい合うようにして形成された一対の押圧部と、
前記各押圧部が当接する方向に、前記一対の狭持片を付勢する弾性部材と、
を備え、
前記各押圧部が、
四足歩行のほ乳類のラストリブとタックアップとの間の筋肉を押圧可能な大きさを有する狭持具。 - 前記各押圧部が、
前記ほ乳類の首の後ろの筋肉を狭持可能である、
請求項1に記載の狭持具。 - 前記各押圧部が、球形である、
請求項1又は2に記載の狭持具。 - 前記各押圧部として、前記狭持片に対して脱着可能で、かつ、形状が異なる押圧部を複数有する、
請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の狭持具。 - 前記一対の押圧部のそれぞれは、
前記各狭持片の中腹から突き出して、ほ乳類のラストリブとタックアップとの間の筋肉を押圧する、
請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の狭持具。 - 前記弾性部材は、ピンチリング又はトーションバネである、
請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の狭持具。 - 前記一対の狭持片を開く方向に操作する操作部を備える、

前記狭持具で狭持された状態で、前記ほ乳類を取り扱う第2のステップと、

前記狭持具で狭持された状態で、前記ほ乳類を落ち着かせた後に、前記ほ乳類の首の後ろの筋肉を狭持具で狭持する、
