Definitions
- the present invention relates to a penetration-inhibiting article.
- Penetration-inhibiting objects ie objects that inhibit both the attack with a firearm and the attack with a stabbing weapon penetration of the projectile or the stabbing weapon and thus provide protection against attack with shot and stabbing weapons.
- Such articles contain a penetration-inhibiting component, for example in the form of one or more textile fiber layers arranged on one another, which contain fibers with a fineness-related tensile strength of at least 750 mN / tex measured according to EN 12562 (July 1999). It is also known to connect the fiber layers with one another by means of polymeric films. Already with a thickness in the one-digit mm range, such mutually arranged textile fiber layers exhibit a penetration-inhibiting effect.
- the determination of the penetration-inhibiting effect in an attack with firearms is usually carried out by measuring the v 50 value, ie the speed in m / s, at which under the standardized conditions of the VPAM Test Guideline APR 2006 50% of the shots
- Areas of a first group have a first fabric density DG1 after rolling of 8% to 80%, and wherein the areas of a second group have a second
- AT 73869 describes a cover for projectiles of any kind.
- the cover is made of paper, e.g. of compressed kraft paper or of vulcanised paper, cardboard or the like of sufficient strength.
- AT 73869 states that paper, which in itself has a very low strength and resistance to tearing, can be used to make coverings of all kinds when applied in multiple layers, resulting in a paper of sufficient strength. Further, AT 73869 describes that a bullet that smashed through a log made of heartwood 50 cm thick is safely caught by a layer of laminated paper about 5 cm thick. Information on the conditions under which the bombardment attempt was carried out does not make AT 73869.
- Test Guideline APR 2006 Bombardment tests were performed on stacked vulcanized paper with the thickness of the stacks in the one-digit mm range, with the result that it was not possible to place a shots so that it was not possible to obtain a v 50 value to determine. Therefore, the above-mentioned paper stacks having a thickness in the one-digit mm range are not penetration-inhibiting.
- the penetration-inhibiting objects described at the outset contain a penetration-inhibiting component in the form of one or more textile fiber layers arranged on one another, which contain fibers having a tenacity of at least 750 mN / tex measured according to EN 12562 (July 1999) and which already have a penetration-inhibiting effect at a thickness in the one-digit mm range.
- a penetration-inhibiting component in the form of one or more textile fiber layers arranged on one another, which contain fibers having a tenacity of at least 750 mN / tex measured according to EN 12562 (July 1999) and which already have a penetration-inhibiting effect at a thickness in the one-digit mm range.

- Example 1 7 plies of 7-film volcanic paper have no bullet-inhibiting effect (see Comparative Example 1) and in the package of Example 1 only 2 plies of volcanic paper with 2 film layers are present. Therefore, one skilled in the art would expect the addition of the ball-resistant package of Comparative Example 3 to 2 plies of volcanic paper and 2 film plies to yield a package showing the v 50 value of Comparative Example 3.
- the ballistic package of Example 2 shows a v 50 value of 462 m / s and thus a ball-inhibiting effect which is even higher than that of the ballistic package of Comparative Example 4, although the ballistic package of Example 2 has three aramid fabrics less than that Ballistic package of Comparative Example 4 and only 2 volcanic papers. Therefore, the skilled artisan would have expected that the ballistic package of Example 2 would have a significantly lower anti-ballistic effect, ie, a significantly lower v 50 value than the ballistic package of Comparative Example 4, especially
- Comparative Example 1 shows that even 7 one-side film-vulcanized papers as such show such a low ball-inhibiting effect that a v 50 measurement is not possible at all. This applies a fortiori, if instead of 7 only 2 volcanic paper coated on one side are shot at. Therefore, the skilled artisan had to expect that the v 50 value of the ballistic package of Example 2 would be significantly lower than the v 50 value of
- v 50 value of the ballistic package of Example 2 at 462 m / s is at the same level as the v 50 value of the ballistic package of Comparative Example 4 (450 m / s) and tends to be even slightly higher ,
- the ballistic package of Example 2 has a total weight of 5.86 kg. Of these, 3.68 kg, i. 63% aramid fabric.
- Comparative Example 4 has a total weight of 5.61 kg. Of these, 5.06 kg, i. 90% aramid fabric. Thus, the weight fraction of the aramid fabric is reduced by 27% relative to the total weight of the ballistic package, without its penetration-inhibiting effect decreasing.

Description
Penetrationshemmender Gegenstand
Beschreibung:
penetrationshemmenden Gegenstandes mindestens 2 Faserlagen.
Vergleichsbeispiel 1 :
Vulkanpapier der Fa. Sachsenröder, DE (Type SAVUTEC SMS 0,65 oliv/braun;
Flächengewicht = 840 ± 40 g/m2, Dicke = 0,650 ± 0,03 mm, Höchstzugkraft in Längsrichtung = 3558 N, Höchstzugkraft in Querrichtung = 2384 N, Höchstzug- kraftdehnung in Längsrichtung = 13 %, Höchstzugkraftdehnung in Querrichtung
Polyvinylbutyral modifizierten Phenolharz besteht.
Beispiel 1 :
a) Herstellung der Aramidgewebe-Komponente
VerAnzahl Anzahl Anzahl Anzahl V50

2 7 0 nicht bestimmbar

4 - - 1 1 10 450
Beispiel
1 2 2 7 6 400
2 2 2 8 7 462
