- big data is a technology related to data or data characterized by the enormous amount of data, for example, a technology related to data in which various types of data are mixed or have real-time properties.
- IoT and big data may be related. For example, data collected and exchanged by any object in IoT can quickly be enormous and diverse, and can be treated as big data. Big data and target technology include small data, which is a specific type of data collected based on a specific purpose.
- the small data is data that conveys the current state or situation including specific attributes such as location, temperature, size, volume, and the like. The observer can know in real time what is happening from the small data. In short, big data conveys the reason for the movement of the target object, and small data conveys the current movement of the target object. In the IoT society, it is assumed that small data may have a more important role than big data depending on the use of data.
- IDMA provides a receiver with a simple configuration that eliminates interference in bit units while inheriting the robustness against CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) fading. Further, IDMA can also eliminate interference between users that occurs in a multipath environment. In general, interference removal in IDMA is performed by SIC (Successive Interference Canceller). For example, a signal transmitted at an extremely low coding rate using an iterative code in an IDMA system can eliminate interference between users by applying SIC on the receiving side, and a good error rate (for example, BER (bit error rate)) Or BLER (Block Error Rate)) can be achieved.

- radio resources are allocated so that user terminals in a cell do not overlap each other.
- the radio resource is a frequency or time resource for radio communication, and there are various types such as a resource block, a subframe, and a resource element.
- Such radio access technology assigned so that radio resources do not overlap is also referred to as orthogonal multiple access.
- FIG. 1 shows an example of radio resource allocation in orthogonal multiple access.
- the horizontal axis indicates the frequency, and the radio resources allocated to the user are indicated in different colors for each user.
- a resource block (RB: Resource Block) that is different in the frequency direction can be assigned to a user, for example.
- non-orthogonal multiple access radio resources that are at least partially overlapped are allocated to user terminals in a cell.
- signals transmitted and received by user terminals in a cell can interfere with each other in a radio space.
- the receiving side can acquire information for each user by a predetermined decoding process. It is theoretically known that non-orthogonal multiple access can achieve higher communication capacity (or cell communication capacity) than orthogonal multiple access when appropriate radio resource allocation is performed.
- FIG. 2 shows an example of radio resource allocation in non-orthogonal multiple access.
- the horizontal axis indicates the frequency, and the radio resources allocated to the user are indicated in different colors for each user.
- resource blocks that overlap in the frequency direction for example, can be assigned to users.
- IDMA is one of the radio access technologies classified as non-orthogonal multiple access.
- IDMA in order to identify a user signal, an interleaving pattern used for an interleaving process performed on a transmission signal by a transmission side apparatus is assigned differently for each user.
- the receiving-side apparatus separates and decodes the user signal by using a deinterleave pattern corresponding to the interleave pattern assigned to each user.
- An advantage of IDMA is that the signal processing load on the transmission side apparatus is light. This advantage is more important especially in the uplink (UL) from the user terminal to the base station.
- FIG. 3 shows a basic configuration example of the transmitting station 10 that performs wireless communication using IDMA.
- the transmission station 10 includes an error correction coding circuit 11, an interleaver ( ⁇ i) 12, a digital modulation circuit 13, and an RF (Radio Frequency) circuit 14.
- the error correction encoding circuit 11 performs error appropriate encoding on the information bit string of the user i.
- the interleaver ( ⁇ i) 12 is an interleaver assigned to the user i, and performs an interleaving process on the information bit string that has been subjected to error correction coding.
- the digital modulation circuit 13 digitally modulates the information bit string that has undergone the interleaving process.
- the RF circuit 14 performs various types of signal processing on the digitally modulated signal and transmits a radio signal via the antenna. Interleaver assignment is performed by assigning at least one of an interleaver type and an interleave pattern.
- the interleaver type means the type of interleaver, and is an interleave pattern policy used by the interleaver. Correlation characteristics are maintained between interleave patterns of the same interleaver type. On the other hand, correlation characteristics are unknown between interleave patterns of different interleaver types. For this reason, it is desirable to assign different interleave patterns of the same interleaver type between users who may cause interference.

- the decoding circuit 23 i includes a deinterleaver ( ⁇ i ⁇ 1 ) 24 for the user i, an error correction decoding circuit 25, and an interleaver ( ⁇ i ) 26 for the user i.

- the decoding circuit 23i outputs the information bit string of the user i when it can be correctly decoded.
- the decoding circuit 23 i performs an interleaving process on the decoded signal by the interleaver ( ⁇ i ) 26 and returns it to the signal separation circuit 22 as a user signal for the user i. Such user signals are returned for all user signals.

- the user signal input to the decoding circuit 23i is decoded by deinterleaving processing, derate matching processing, and error correction decoding.
- the punctured bits are restored in the deinterleaving process and returned to the original length before the rate matching process on the transmission side.
- the decoding circuit 23i when the repeating mode is employed on the transmission side, the repeated bits are averaged or selected in the deinterleaving process and returned to the original length before the rate matching process on the transmission side. If the decoding is successful, the decoding circuit 23i outputs the decoded user signal as the information bit string of the user i. On the other hand, when feedback to the signal separation circuit 22 is performed, the decoding circuit 23 i applies rate matching processing and interleaving processing to the decoded user signal, and returns them to the signal separation circuit 22. At that time, the LLR update unit 29 calculates and updates the LLR of the decoded user signal.

- New coding rate In this embodiment, a new coding rate that is generally lower than the coding rate in the current LTE standard (hereinafter also referred to as the current coding rate) is provided. Table 3 below shows a CQI table related to a new coding rate. In Table 3, the current coding rate is also shown for comparison.
- the CQI table related to the combination of the CQI index, the modulation scheme, and the new coding rate shown in Table 3 is also referred to as a first CQI table. Further, the CQI table related to the combination of the CQI index, the modulation scheme, and the current coding rate is also referred to as a second CQI table.
- the new coding rate is less than or equal to the current coding rate of the same CQI index.
- the new coding rate in each CQI index is the coding rate before rate matching, that is, the coding rate of channel coding (ie, error correction coding) (current LTE coding). In the standard, it is 1/3) or less.
- the base station 100 (for example, the transmission processing unit 153) performs transmission signal processing using the CQI table related to such a new coding rate. By adopting such a coding rate that is generally lower than the current coding rate, rate matching processing can be performed in the repeating mode, as will be described in detail later.
- the new coding rate values shown in Table 3 above are for one user.
- the coding rate of the first CQI table may be equal to or less than the value obtained by dividing the coding rate of the same CQI index in the second CQI table by the number of multiplexed users.
- the second CQI table includes a CQI index whose coding rate exceeds the coding rate of channel coding (1/3 in the current LTE standard).
- the base station 100 (for example, the transmission processing unit 153) may selectively use the first CQI table or the second CQI table. That is, the base station 100 can use a new coding rate and the current coding rate in combination. As a result, backward compatibility can be ensured.

- Rate matching process is performed in the repeating mode or the puncturing mode depends on the number of input bits to the rate matching unit 165 (that is, the buffer size) and the rate matching unit 165. Can be determined by comparison with the number of output bits from.
- the buffer size is larger than the number of output bits.
- the number of output bits is larger than the buffer size.
- the number of output bits L rm from the rate matching unit 165 is calculated by the following equation, for example.
- the number of bits input to the rate matching unit 165 (that is, the buffer size L b ) is calculated by the following equation, for example.
- the value of 1/3 is a coding rate of channel coding in the current LTE standard (that is, a coding rate of an error correction code). That is, when the coding rate of the error correction code is changed, the value of 1/3 is also changed accordingly.
- the new coding rate C new is defined using the current coding rate C old as shown in the following equation.
- the new coding rate C new in the case of another CQI index is an average value of the new coding rates C new of adjacent CQI indexes as in the following equation.
- the current coding rate when the CQI index is 7 to 15, the coding rate exceeds 1/3, and the puncturing mode is adopted. Therefore, the new coding rate satisfies the condition that the coding rate is 1/3 or less in any CQI index, thereby realizing the adoption of the repeating mode.
- a value calculated by the following mathematical formula may be used as the upper limit of the new coding rate.
- the new encoding rate shown in Table 3 is provided by the calculation method described above.
- the base station 100 (for example, the transmission processing unit 153) performs rate matching processing in the repeating mode. Then, base station 100 (for example, transmission processing section 153) applies an interleaver after rate matching processing and before modulation. As a result, the bit error rate on the receiving side can be improved.
- the modulation scheme is 16QAM, improvement of the bit error rate on the reception side by rate matching in the repeating mode and subsequent application of an interleaver will be specifically described.
- Table 5 shows symbols corresponding to each bit string in 16QAM.
- FIG. 19 is a diagram illustrating an area where the first bit is 1 and an area where the first bit is 0.
- FIG. 20 is a diagram illustrating an area in which the second bit is 1 and an area in which the second bit is 0.
- FIG. 21 is a diagram illustrating an area where the third bit is 1 and an area where the third bit is 0.
- FIG. 22 is a diagram illustrating an area in which the fourth bit is 1 and an area in which the fourth bit is 0.
- the region where the bit is 1 and the region where the bit is 0 have the same shape.
- the region where the first bit is 1 and the region where 0 is 0 are two regions of the same shape divided by the imaginary axis.
- the area where the second bit is 1 and the area where it is 0 are two areas of the same shape divided by the real axis.
- the region where the bit is 1 and the region where the bit is 0 have different shapes.
- the region where the third bit is 0 is a central region that is long in the imaginary axis direction, and the region that is 1 is two regions that sandwich the region that is 0.
- a region where the fourth bit is 0 is a central region that is long in the real axis direction, and a region that is 1 is two regions sandwiching a region that is 0.
- the bit error rate on the receiving side differs depending on whether the bit is 0 or 1. This difference in error rate is due to the difference in area between the 0 region and the 1 region. Specifically, in the case of the third bit in FIG. 21, the bit error rate in the region of 0 tends to be worse than the bit error rate of the region of 1. Similarly, in the case of the fourth bit in FIG. 22, the bit error rate in the region of 0 tends to be worse than the bit error rate of the region of 1.
- bit error rate on the receiving side is biased depending on the number of bits located in the bit string corresponding to one symbol. With reference to FIG. 23, such a deviation of the bit error rate will be described.
- FIG. 23 is a diagram showing the LLR distribution of bits decoded on the receiving side for each of 4 bits corresponding to one symbol in 16QAM.
- the positive LLR indicates the LLR distribution when the bit is determined to be 1
- the negative side indicates the LLR distribution when the bit is determined to be 0.
- the LLR distribution is the same when the bit is 1 and when the bit is 0.
- the third bit and the fourth bit the LLR distribution differs depending on whether the bit is 1 or 0.
- the third bit since the distribution on the negative side is more concentrated near 0 than on the positive side, the probability that the determination result determined to be 0 is erroneous is determined to be 1. Higher than the case.
- the fourth bit since the negative side distribution is concentrated near 0 rather than the positive side, the probability that the determination result determined to be 0 is erroneous is determined to be 1. Higher than the case.
- the bit error rate on the receiving side can be biased depending on the number of bits in the bit string corresponding to one symbol.
- the base station 100 for example, the transmission processing unit 153 averages this bias by adopting a repeating mode and applying an interleaver.
- the sequence input to the derate matching unit 27 is output by adopting a weighted addition or a value corresponding to a higher LLR for the repeated duplicated bits according to the LLR.
- the bit error rate bias related to the asymmetry in the constellation is corrected by the dispersion of the positions of duplicate bits in the bit string corresponding to one symbol, so that the overall bit error rate can be improved. It becomes. More simply, the bit error rate can be improved by correcting the low LLR decoding result with the high LLR decoding result between repeated identical bits.
- the “number of feedbacks” in the above table indicates the number of feedbacks from the error correction decoding circuit 25 to the signal separation circuit 22 on the receiving side.
- FIG. 24 is a diagram showing the results of a simulation performed using the above parameters.
- a code C1 in FIG. 24 indicates a BLER characteristic when one user is used, and a code C2 indicates a BLER characteristic when two users are multiplexed.
- FIG. 24 it seems that decoding is possible on the receiving side for one user. However, when two users are multiplexed, it cannot be decoded on the receiving side. This is due to the high coding rate at low channel quality.
- FIG. 25 is a diagram illustrating a simulation result performed using the above parameters.
- Reference sign D1 in FIG. 25 indicates the BLER characteristic for one user
- reference signs D2 to D7 indicate the BLER characteristic at each feedback count when two users are multiplexed.
- the number of feedback is 1 in the code D3, the number of feedback is 4 in the code D4, the number of feedback is 10 in the code D5, the number of feedback is 15 in the code D6, and the number of feedback is 10 in the code D7.
- the number of feedback is 20 times.
- the symbols D3 to D7 the BLER characteristics improve as the number of feedback increases. From the above, when a new coding rate is adopted, it can be said that user interference can be appropriately removed by SIC, and the performance improves as the number of feedbacks increases.
- a scrambler may be employed instead of the interleaver or together with the interleaver.
- the decoding performance is better when the interleaver is used than when the scrambler is used.
- the superiority of the interleaver compared to the scrambler is more apparent in the case of a high modulation order such as 16QAM.
- Table 8 below shows parameters related to the first simulation for explaining the superiority of the interleaver compared to the scrambler.
- FIG. 26 is a diagram showing the results of a simulation performed using the above parameters.
- the code E1 in FIG. 26 shows the BLER characteristic when one user is used
- the code E2 shows the BLER characteristic when two users are multiplexed using the interleaver
- the code E3 is shown by two users using the scrambler.
- the BLER characteristic when multiplexed is shown. Referring to FIG. 26, the BLER characteristic is better when the interleaver indicated by reference numeral E2 is employed than when the scrambler indicated by reference numeral E3 is employed.

- a symbol F1 in FIG. 27 indicates a BLER characteristic in the case of one user.
- Symbols F2 to F4 indicate BLER characteristics at each feedback count when two users are multiplexed using an interleaver. Specifically, the number of feedback is 0 in the code F2, the feedback number is 1 in the code F3, and the feedback number is 4 in the code F4.
- Symbols F5 to F7 indicate BLER characteristics at each feedback count when two users are multiplexed using a scrambler. Specifically, the number of feedback is 0 in the code F5, the number of feedback is 1 in the code F6, and the number of feedback is 4 in the code F7.
- the transmission signal processing is basically performed in the order of the functional blocks shown in FIG. Here, processing related to the introduction of a new coding rate is extracted and described.

- the base station 100 performs rate matching processing in the repeating mode in order to realize the determined coding rate (step S106).

- the base station 100 sets the unit data size to be smaller than the unit data size (hereinafter also referred to as a reference data size) in the current LTE standard. This is because at a low coding rate, the data size that can be transmitted at a time becomes small. With this setting, a new coding rate can be introduced.
- the reference data size can be calculated by any method.

- the base station 100 and the terminal device 200 are involved in this sequence.
- the base station 100 first transmits a reference signal (RS) to the terminal device 200 (step S202).
- the terminal device 200 performs CSI measurement based on the received reference signal (step S204), and transmits CSI (Channel State Information) measurement feedback to the base station 100 (step S206).
- This CSI measurement feedback includes a CQI index suitable for the measured link quality.

- the base station 100 sets transmission settings such as the determined data size (step S214).
- the base station 100 performs transmission signal processing according to the transmission setting, and transmits data to the terminal device 200 on the PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) (step S216).
- the terminal device 200 demodulates and decodes the PDSCH based on the reception setting to acquire data (step S218).
- the terminal device 200 transmits ACK to the base station 100 when the decoding is successful, and NACK when the decoding is unsuccessful (step S220).

- the terminal device 200 transmits a reference signal to the base station 100 (step S302).
- the base station 100 performs CSI measurement based on the received RS (step S304), and determines transmission settings such as a data size (step S306).
- the transmission setting is determined by the base station 100
- CSI measurement feedback from the base station 100 to the terminal device 200 may be omitted.
- the base station 100 sets reception settings related to received signal processing such as data size based on the determined transmission settings (step S308).
- the base station 100 transmits control information indicating the content of transmission settings to the terminal device 200 using DCI on the PDCCH (step S310).
- the terminal device 200 decodes the received PDCCH to acquire control information, and sets transmission settings such as a data size indicated by the control information (step S312).
- the terminal device 200 performs transmission signal processing according to the transmission setting, and transmits data to the base station 100 on the PUSCH (step S314).

- step S208 or step S306 can be realized by various methods. Hereinafter, two methods will be described.
- the first method is a method for determining the data size in two stages. Specifically, the base station 100 (for example, the setting unit 151) once calculates a reference data size and changes the reference data size based on information related to transmission signal processing (hereinafter also referred to as transmission-related information), thereby Determine and set the size of the data. For example, the base station 100 determines the data size by adopting the reference data size as it is when the transmission-related information does not satisfy a predetermined condition, and changing the reference data size when it satisfies the predetermined condition.
- transmission-related information information related to transmission signal processing
- FIG. 31 is a flowchart showing an example of the data size determination process executed by the base station 100 according to the present embodiment.
- the base station 100 refers to the size of the radio resource used for transmitting the target data (step S402).
- the base station 100 refers to an index (for example, an MCS index or a CQI index) related to a modulation level or a coding rate applied to target data (step S404).
- the base station 100 determines a reference data size according to the current LTE standard based on the index regarding the size of radio resources and the modulation level or coding rate (step S406).
- the base station 100 determines whether or not the transmission related information satisfies a predetermined condition (step S408).
- step S408 / YES When it is determined that the predetermined condition is satisfied (step S408 / YES), the base station 100 determines the data size changed from the reference data size based on the transmission related information (step S410). On the other hand, when it is determined that the predetermined condition is not satisfied (step S408 / NO), the base station 100 determines the reference data size as the data size as it is (step S412).
- the transmission related information may include information indicating a coding rate applied to target data (that is, a transmission target sequence). More specifically, the transmission related information may include information indicating which of the first CQI table or the second CQI table is used.
- the base station 100 may change the data size from the reference data size when the first CQI table is used, and may adopt the reference data size as it is when the second CQI table is used. Since the new code rate is generally lower than the current code rate, it is desirable that the modified TBS is smaller than the TBS in the current LTE standard.
- the size D TBS is calculated by the following equation based on the reference data size D ′ TBS .
- the data size D TBS after the change, truncation or round-up process may be applied as follows.
- the transmission related information may include information indicating the size of the radio resource used for transmitting the target data.
- the base station 100 changes the reference data size when the size of the radio resource is changed from the assumption when the reference data size is calculated.
- a time resource will be described.
- the size of the time resource (for example, subframe) assumed when calculating the reference data size is T ′
- the size of the time resource applied in actual data transmission is T
- ⁇ T ′ / T
- the changed data size D TBS is calculated by the following equation.
- the transmission related information may include information indicating the number of multiplexed radio resources used for transmitting the target data.
- the number of multiplexing refers to the number of data to be transmitted by multiplexing at least a part of resources such as frequency resources, time resources, or spatial resources.
- the base station 100 changes the data size when the number of multiplexed target data is a predetermined value. For example, if the multiplexing number is N, the changed data size D TBS is calculated by the following equation.
- the number of multiplexed data is 2 or more, it is desirable to change the data size by the above formula. Further, it is desirable that either the transmission device or the reception device is different from the target data and at least a part of the other data multiplexed on the target data. Further, when an uplink is assumed, the number of data may be read as the number of transmitting apparatuses. That is, even when each transmitting apparatus transmits only one data, when there are a plurality of transmitting apparatuses that use at least a part of radio resources in an overlapping manner, the number corresponds to N.
- the transmission related information may include information indicating the type of the transmitting device that transmits the target data or the receiving device that receives the target data.
- the type is, for example, a terminal category (UE Category).
- the base station 100 calculates the changed data size D TBS by the following equation using the data size change coefficient ⁇ when the transmission device or the reception device of the target data corresponds to a predetermined terminal category. .
- the data size change coefficient ⁇ is preferably a value of 1 or more.
- examples of terminal categories include the terminal categories shown in Tables 10 to 13 below. Each of these tables is a terminal category defined in the current LTE standard. It is desirable that the terminal category whose data size is to be changed satisfy predetermined requirements.
- the predetermined requirement is, for example, the value of “Maximum number of DL / UL-SCH transport block bits received within a TTI” received within the TTI (Transmission Time Interval). It may include relatively small things. Further, the predetermined requirement may include, for example, that the value of “Total number of soft channel bits” is relatively small. Further, the predetermined requirement may include, for example, a value of “Maximum number of supported layers for spatial multiplexing” being small or 1. Also, the predetermined requirement may include not supporting a high modulation order such as 64QAM or 256QAM, for example. Further, the data size change coefficient ⁇ may be a different value for each terminal category.
- the transmission related information may include information indicating the quality of service associated with the target data.
- the base station 100 may change the data size from the reference data size for data associated with a predetermined quality of service (QoS). For example, when a predetermined QoS is associated with the target data, the base station 100 uses the data size change coefficient ⁇ to calculate the changed data size D TBS according to the following equation.
- the data size change coefficient ⁇ is preferably a value of 1 or more.
- QCI Quality Class Identifier
- Table 14 relates to the QoS defined in the current LTE standard.
- the QCI whose data size is to be changed preferably satisfies a predetermined requirement.
- the predetermined requirement may include, for example, a high reliability such as “PER” being relatively small.
- the predetermined requirement may include that the value of “priority” is relatively large, that is, the priority is low.
- the predetermined requirement may include that the value of “delay time” is relatively large, that is, the requirement for delay is loose.
- the transmission related information may include information indicating the mobility (for example, moving speed) of the transmitting device that transmits the target data or the receiving device that receives the target data.
- mobility for example, moving speed
- a new code rate that is, a code lower than the current code rate
- the base station 100 realizes a new coding rate by changing the data size when the transmission device or reception device of the target data is moving at a predetermined speed or higher.
- base station 100 may calculate the data size D TBS after the change by the following equation.
- the second method is a method for directly determining the data size without determining the reference data size.
- the information referred to for determining the data size is transmission related information similar to the first method.
- the base station 100 sets the size of the unit data according to the transmission related information when the first CQI table is used and when the second CQI table is used.
- Different tables for example, TBS table.
- the base station 100 determines that the transmission-related information (for example, coding rate, resource size, multiplexing number, terminal category, QoS, mobility, etc.) does not satisfy the predetermined conditions.
- the data size is determined with reference to the TBS table.
- the base station 100 determines a data size with reference to a new TBS table.
- a new TBS table may exist, for example, for each predetermined condition in the transmission-related information (for example, a TBS table when the coding rate is 0.01 and the multiplexing number is 2, and the coding rate is 0.02). And a TBS table or the like when the multiplexing number is 3 may exist). That is, when the transmission related information satisfies a predetermined condition, the base station 100 may switch a new TBS table to be referred to according to the predetermined condition that is satisfied.
- the data size described in the new TBS table that is referred to when the predetermined condition is satisfied is compared with the data size described in the TBS table in the current LTE standard that is referred to when the predetermined condition is not satisfied. Small is desirable. Thereby, a new coding rate is realized.
- the size of the new TBS table is preferably the same or smaller than the size of the TBS table in the current LTE standard. As a result, it is possible to divert the conventionally used DCI IE (Information Element) and prevent the addition of the IE.
- the size of the TBS table is the number of directions corresponding to radio resources (that is, resource blocks) (the number of columns in the TBS table in the current LTE standard), or an index related to the modulation level or coding rate. Indicates the number of directions corresponding to (the number of rows in the TBS table in the current LTE standard).

- the base station 100 refers to the transmission related information (step S506).
- the base station 100 selects the TBS table based on the radio resource size, the modulation level or coding rate index, and the transmission related information, and determines the data size based on the selected TBS table (step S508). ).

Further, various types of terminals described later may operate as the base station 100 by temporarily or semi-permanently executing the base station function.
本技術は、HetNet(Heterogeneous Network)又はSCE(Small Cell Enhancement)などのマルチセルシステムにおいても適用可能である。
TB生成部161は、TB(Transport Block)を生成する。 TB生成部161は、TBの最大数を、PDSCH(Physical Downlink Shared Channel)上のリソースサイズに基づいて事前に計算する。
LTEにおいては、BPSK(binary phase-shift keying)、QPSK(quadrature phase-shift keying)、16QAM(16-quadrature-amplitude modulation)及び64QAM(64-quadrature-amplitude modulation)の4つの変調方式がサポートされている。
なお、シミュレーションでは、トランスミッションモードとしてOLSM(Open Loop Spatial Multiplexing)が採用されるものとする。
LTEでは、RB(Resource Block)及びRE(Resource Block)が、時間及び周波数により区分けされるリソースグリッドとして定義されている。
例えば、OFDM信号生成部171は、IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform)を適用し、GI(Guard Interval)を挿入する。 なお、シミュレーションにおいては、OFDM信号は、AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise)チャネルで送信されるものとした。
