Description
실시 예는, 인체 착용 장치 및 이의 동작 방법에 관한 것이다.
통상적으로, 휴대용 단말기는 전자부품의 고감도, 소형화 및 경량화 추세에 따라 가고 있으며, 제1세대로 바 타입(Bar Type)의 휴대폰이 보편화 되었고, 제2세대로 플립 타입(Flip Type)의 휴대폰이 일반화 되었으며, 현재에는 플립 타입과 제3세대의 폴더 타입(Folder Type)의 휴대폰이 공존하여 보편화된 추세에 있다.
또한, 사용자의 손목에 착용하는 시계 타입(Watch Type)의 휴대폰을 비롯하여 신체 일부나 의류에 착용하는 인체 착용 장치(wearable device)가 개발되었다.
한편, 최근 생활수준의 향상과 의료기술의 발전에 따라 전 세계적으로 고령화의 추세가 두드러지고 있다. 이와 같은 인구 고령화와 동반하여 만성질환 유병율이 증가하고 있고, 고령 사회의 또 다른 문제점으로, 핵가족화에 따른 가족 부양 능력 감퇴로 인한 독거 노인의 증가와 고독사(孤獨死)가 중요한 사회적 이슈(issue)로 대두되고 있다.
고혈압, 당뇨병, 뇌혈관질환, 심장질환 등의 만성 질환자는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 그 원인으로는 특히 건강과 관련된 식이, 운동 등 개인이나 집단의 건강 행태에 의한 질병 발생이 거의 절반 이상을 차지한다. 따라서 현대 의학의 생물의학적 모델에 의한 접근만으로는 이러한 만성 질환을 해결하기 어려우며 새로운 질병 관리 방법, 즉 생활 습관 개선을 통한 건강 위험 인자 제거라는 건강 증진적 접근이 요구된다.
따라서, 최근에는 맥박수 계측 방법에는 크게 피에조(piezo) 소자 등을 이용하는 압전식, 자기 접합 터널(MTJ: Magnetic Tunnel Junction) 소자를 이용하는 자기식, 필름형 압박센서를 이용하는 압박식, 생체 전기 임피던스를 이용하는 임피던스식, 광 센서를 이용하는 광학식 등이 있으며, 최근에는 손목이나 목에 착용이 가능한 인체 장착형 맥박 측정 장치가 제안되고 있다.
도 1은 종래 기술에 따른 인체 착용 장치를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 1을 참조하면, 인체 착용 장치는 기판(10), 발광 소자(30), 수광 소자(20), 구조물(40), 격벽(50) 및 광학 윈도우(60)를 포함한다.
기판(10)는 인체 착용 장치를 구성하는 구성요소들을 장착하기 위한 베이스 기판이다.
발광 소자(30)는 발광 제어신호에 따라 특정 파장대의 광을 발생한다.
수광 소자(20)는 상기 발광 소자(30)를 통해 발생한 광에 따라 입사되는 광을 수광한다.
구조물(40)은 상기 광학 윈도우(60)를 지지하기 위한 지지 구조물이다.
격벽(50)은 상기 발광 소자(30) 및 수광 소자(20) 사이에 배치되어, 상기 발광 소자(30)를 통해 발생한 광이 직접적으로 상기 수광 소자(20)로 입사되는 것을 방지한다.
광학 윈도우(60)는 상기 발광 소자(30) 및 수광 소자(20)의 출사면 및 입사면에 각각 배치되어, 외부로부터 상기 발광 소자(30) 및 수광 소자(20)를 보호한다.
상기와 같은 인체 착용 장치는, 상기 수광 소자(20)를 통해 수신된 광의 전압(즉, 수광 전압)에 따라 인체 신호를 검출한다. 여기에서, 상기 인체 신호는 심박수나 산소 포화도 등을 포함할 수 있다.
도 2는 종래 기술에 따른 인체착용장치의 동작 원리를 보여주는 도면이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 발광 소자(30)에서 발생한 광은 측정 대상에 대응하는 피부에 의해 반사되어 수광 소자(20)에 입사된다.
이때, 상기 입사되는 광은, 상기 피부의 표면에 의해 반사되는 제 1 광과, 상기 피부 내부에서 상기 피부 조직의 내부 산란에 의해 반사되는 제 2 광을 포함한다.
그리고, 상기 제 1 광은 실질적으로 노이즈 요인에 의한 광이며, 상기 제 2 광만이 상기 인체 신호를 검출하는데 사용되는 유의미한 신호이다.
그러나, 종래 기술에 따르면, 상기 발광 소자(30)와 수광 소자(20) 사이의 간격이 제한되어 있으며, 이에 따라 상기와 같은 제 1 광이 발생하는 문제점이 있다.
또한, 종래 기술에 따르면 상기 제한된 간격에 의해 광 경로의 왜곡이 발생하며, 이에 따른 신호 증폭을 위하여 소비 전력이 증가하여 배터리 소모가 증가하거나 수명이 단축되는 문제점이 있다.
또한, 종래 기술에 따르면 상기와 같은 소모 전력을 줄이기 위해 추가적인 발광장치의 수광장치 세트를 구성해야 하며, 이에 따른 제품 단가가 상승하거나, 제품 부피가 증가하는 문제점이 있다.
또한, 종래 기술에 따르면 연령 및 나이, 그리고 피부색에 따른 수신 광의 크기가 상이하며, 이에 따라 측정 대상에 따라 상기 검출된 인체 신호의 정확도가 떨어지는 문제점이 있다.
본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 광을 반사시키는 반사부를 배치하여, 표면 반사를 감소시키면서 피부조직을 통과하는 광 경로를 최소화할 수 있는 인체 착용 장치 및 이의 동작 방법을 제공한다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이의 광 경로를 최적화하여 원하는 인체 신호를 정확히 검출할 수 있는 인체 착용 장치 및 이의 동작 방법을 제공한다.
제안되는 실시 예에서 이루고자 하는 기술적 과제들은 이상에서 언급한 기술적 과제들로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 또 다른 기술적 과제들은 아래의 기재로부터 제안되는 실시 예가 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.

또한, 상기 광의 상태를 판단하는 단계는, 상기 수광부를 통해 수신된 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비를 판단하는 단계를 포함한다.
또한, 상기 결정하는 단계는, 상기 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 큰 반사 각도를 확인하는 단계와, 상기 확인된 반사 각도를 상기 반사부의 반사 각도로 결정하는 단계를 포함한다.
본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 최적화된 MEMS 미러를 활용한 반사부를 배치함으로써, 측정 대상의 피부 표면에서 반사되는 노이즈를 감소시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 광을 반사시키는 반사부를 배치하여, 표면 반사를 감소시키면서 피부조직을 통과하는 광 경로를 최소화 시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 손목에서 심박 신호 품질 향상으로 심박수 측정을 위한 별도의 그린 발광 소자를 제거할 수 있음으로써, 제품 단가를 낮춰 단가 경쟁력을 증가시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 이에 따른 제품 부피를 소형화할 수 있다.

본 발명에 따른 실시 예에서는, 발광 소자의 인접 영역에 상기 발광 소자를 통해 발생한 광을 반사시키는 반사부를 배치하여, 측정 대상의 피부 내부 조직을 통과하는 광 경로를 최소화하면서 표면 반사 노이즈를 감소시킬 수 있는 인체 착용 장치 및 이의 동작 방법을 제공한다.
도 3은 본 발명의 제 1 실시 예에 따른 인체 착용 장치의 구조를 보여주는 도면이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 인체 착용 장치는 기판(110), 발광부(120), 반사부(130), 수광부(140), 구동부(150), 구조물(160), 격벽(170) 및 광학 윈도우(180)를 포함한다.
기판(110)은 인체 착용 장치를 구성하는 구성요소들을 장착하기 위한 베이스 기판이다. 즉,
상기 기판(110)은 단일 회로 패턴이 형성되는 상기 인체 착용 장치의 지지 기판일 수 있으며, 복수의 적층 구조를 가지는 기판 중 어느 하나의 회로 패턴이 형성된 특정 절연층을 의미할 수도 있다.
상기 기판(110)은 열경화성 또는 열가소성 고분자 기판, 세라믹 기판, 유-무기 복합 소재 기판, 또는 유리 섬유 함침 기판일 수 있으며, 고분자 수지를 포함하는 경우, 에폭시계 절연 수지를 포함할 수 있으며, 이와 달리 폴리 이미드계 수지를 포함할 수도 있다.
즉, 상기 기판(110)은 배선을 변경할 수 있는 전기 회로가 편성되어 있는 판으로, 절연기판 표면에 도체 패턴을 형성할 수 있는 절연 재료로 만들어진, 프린트, 배선판 및 절연기판을 모두 포함할 수 있다.
상기 기판(110)은 리지드(rigid)하거나 또는 플렉서블(flexible)할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 기판(110)은 유리 또는 플라스틱을 포함할 수 있다. 자세하게, 상기 기판(110)은 소다라임유리(soda lime glass) 또는 알루미노실리케이트유리 등의 화학 강화/반강화유리를 포함하거나, 폴리이미드(Polyimide, PI), 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트(polyethylene terephthalate, PET), 프로필렌 글리콜(propylene glycol, PPG) 폴리 카보네이트(PC) 등의 강화 혹은 연성 플라스틱을 포함하거나 사파이어를 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(110)은 광등방성 필름을 포함할 수 있다. 일례로, 상기 기판(110)은 COC(Cyclic Olefin Copolymer), COP(Cyclic Olefin Polymer), 광등방 폴리카보네이트(polycarbonate, PC) 또는 광등방 폴리메틸메타크릴레이트(PMMA) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(110)은 부분적으로 곡면을 가지면서 휘어질 수 있다. 즉, 기판(110)은 부분적으로는 평면을 가지고, 부분적으로는 곡면을 가지면서 휘어질 수 있다. 자세하게, 상기 기판(110)의 끝단이 곡면을 가지면서 휘어지거나 랜덤(Random)한 곡률을 포함한 표면을 가지며 휘어지거나 구부러질 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(110)은 유연한 특성을 가지는 플렉서블(flexible) 기판일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(110)은 커브드(curved) 또는 벤디드(bended) 기판일 수 있다. 이 때, 기판(110)은, 회로 설계를 근거로 회로부품을 접속하는 전기배선을 배선 도형으로 표현하며, 절연물 상에 전기도체를 재현할 수 있다. 또한 전기부품을 탑재하고 이들을 회로적으로 연결하는 배선을 형성할 수 있으며, 부품의 전기적 연결기능 외의 부품들을 기계적으로 고정시켜줄 수 있다.
상기 기판(110)의 표면에는 추후 설명할 발광부(120), 반사부(130), 수광부(140) 및 구동부(150)와 전기적으로 연결되는 회로 패턴(도시하지 않음)이 형성된다.
상기 회로 패턴은 통상적인 인쇄회로기판의 제조 공정인 어디티브 공법(Additive process), 서브트렉티브 공법(Subtractive Process), MSAP(Modified Semi Additive Process) 및 SAP(Semi Additive Process) 공법 등으로 가능하며 여기에서는 상세한 설명은 생략한다.
상기 기판(110)의 표면은 발광부(120)가 장착되는 제 1 영역과, 수광부(140)가 장착되는 제 2 영역으로 구분될 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 제 1 영역과 제 2 영역 사이에는 격벽(170)이 배치되며, 상기 격벽(170)에 의해 상기 기판(110)의 표면은 상기 제 1 영역과 제 2 영역으로 구분될 수 있다.
상기 격벽(170)은 상기 발광부(120)와 수광부(140) 사이에 배치되어, 상기 발광부(120)를 통해 발생한 광이 직접적으로 상기 수광부(140)로 입사되는 것을 방지한다.
그리고, 상기 기판(110)의 제 1 영역에는 발광부(120) 및 반사부(130)가 배치된다.
발광부(120)는 발광 제어신호에 따라 특정 파장대의 광을 발생하는 발광 소자를 포함한다.
이때, 상기 발광부(120)의 광 출사면(LES:Light Emitting Surface)은 측정 대상의 피부와 중첩되지 않도록 배치된다. 이를 위해, 상기 발광부(120)는 상기 기판(110) 위에 수직으로 세워진 상태로 배치된다. 이에 따라, 상기 발광부(120)의 광 출사면(LES:Light Emitting Surface)은 상기 측정 대상의 피부와 중첩되도록 상기 발광부(120)의 상부에 배치되지 않고, 상기 발광부(120)의 측부에 배치된다.
따라서, 상기 발광부(120)에서 발생한 광은 상기 측정 대상으로 직접 전달되지 않는다.
다시 말해서, 일반적인 인체 착용 장치는 상기 발광부(120)에서 발생한 광이 상기 측정 대상의 피부로 직접 전달된다. 이를 위해, 종래 기술에서의 발광부(120)는 상기 측정 대상의 피부와 수직한 방향으로 광을 발생하였다. 즉, 상기 종래 기술에서의 발광부(120)의 광 출사면(LES:Light Emitting Surface)은 상기 측정 대상의 피부에 대향되어 배치된다.
그러나, 본 발명에서의 발광부(120)는 상기 측정 대상의 피부로 직접 광을 발생시키지 않고, 반사부(130)가 배치된 방향으로 광을 발생시킨다.
이를 위해, 상기 발광부(120)는 상기 측정 대상의 피부와 수평한 방향으로 광을 발생하며, 이에 따라 상기 발광부(120)의 광 출사면(LES:Light Emitting Surface)은 상기 측정 대상의 피부에 수직한 방향으로 배치된다.
반사부(130)는 상기 발광부(120)를 통해 발생한 광을 기설정된 각도에 따라 특정 방향으로 반사시킨다.
즉, 상기 반사부(130)는 광 반사 영역을 포함하며, 상기 광 반사 영역은 상기 발광부(120)의 출사면에 대향되게 배치된다.
그리고, 상기 반사부(130)이 광 반사 영역은, 상기 발광부(120)를 통해 발생한 광을 상기 측정 대상의 피부로 반사시킨다.
상기 반사부(130)는 MEMS 미러(Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems Mirror)임이 바람직하다
초미세 전기기계 시스템(Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems; MEMS)라고 하여, 센서 밸브, 기어, 반사경 및 반도체 칩 작동기 등의 작은 기계 장치와 컴퓨터를 조합시킨 기술이 요즘 새롭게 각광받고 있다. MEMS는'스마트메터(smart meter)'라고도 하며, 반사경이나 센서와 같은 기계 장치 제작 시에 넣는 작은 실리콘 칩의 마이크로 회로를 가진 장치로서, 자동차 에어백에서 감지된 속도와 보호자의 체중에 맞게 에어백을 팽창시키는 장치, 화물 수송의 연속 추적과 취급 과정을 알 수 있는 전 세계적 위치 시스템 센서, 비행기 날개의 표면 공기저항에 따라 공기 흐름의 변화를 감지하여 상호작용하는 센서, 20 나노초의 속도로 광 신호를 낼 수 있는 광 스위칭 장치, 센서 조작 냉온 장치, 대기 압력에 반응하는 물질의 유연성을 변화시키는 빌딩 내 센서 등 여러 용도로 쓰이고 있다. 이와 같이, MEMS는 애플리케이션이 적용되는 제품의 성능을 크게 향상시키면서 동시에 크기도 소형화시키고 비용도 줄일 수 있어서, 다양한 분야에서 응용되고 있다.
이와 같은 MEMS는 미러(mirror)를 구현하는 데에도 응용되고 있다. MEMS에 의해 구현된 미러(이하 'MEMS 미러')는 미러를 구동하는 구동 방식에 따라 정전력을 이용한 미러, 전자기력(electromagnetic force)을 이용한 미러, 압전력(piezoelectric force)을 이용한 미러 및 열 변형을 이용한 미러 등으로 나눌 수 있다. 정전력을 이용한 미러는 다시 평행 판(parallel plate) 구동 방식과 빗살형 구동(comb-drive) 방식으로 나눌 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 각각의 구동 방식은 다른 구동 방식들과 비교하여 자신만의 장단점을 가지는데, 이 중 제조가 용이하고, 전력 소모가 작으면서도, 구동력, 토크 및 최대 스트로크가 우수한 빗살형 구동 방식이 가장 널리 사용되고 있다.
또한, 상기와 같은 MEMS 미러는 기설정된 유효 각도 범위 내에서 미세한 각도 변경이 가능하다.
이에 따라, 본 발명에서는 상기 반사부(130)를 구성하는 상기 MEMS 미러의 반사각을 선택적으로 변경하여, 측정 대상에 맞는 최적의 광 경로로 상기 발광부(120)를 통해 발생한 광의 반사가 이루어지도록 한다.
그리고, 상기 반사부(130)의 광 반사 영역은, 상기 발광부(120)의 광 출사면에 대향된다. 바람직하게, 상기 반사부(130)의 최상부는 상기 발광부(120)의 최상부보다 높게 위치하여, 상기 발광부(120)를 통해 발생한 광의 손실 없이, 상기 측정 대상으로 반사가 이루어지도록 한다.
구조물(160)은 광학 윈도우(180)를 지지하기 위한 지지 구조물이다.
광학 윈도우(180)는 상기 반사부(130)의 광 반사 영역 및 상기 수광부(140)의 광 입사면과 일정 간격 이격되어 배치되며, 외부로부터 상기 발광부(120), 수광부(140) 및 반사부(130)를 보호한다.
상기 광학 윈도우(180)는 상기 반사부(130)를 통해 반사된 광이 외부(바람직하게는, 측정 대상의 피부)로 공급되도록 광 경로를 형성하며, 또한 외부에서 입사되는 광이 상기 수광부(140)로 공급되도록 한다.
한편, 상기 기판(110)의 제 2 영역에는 구동부(150) 및 수광부(140)가 배치된다.
이때, 상기 기판(110) 위에는 구동부(150)가 배치되며, 상기 수광부(140)는 상기 구동부(150) 위에 배치된다.
상기 구동부(150)는 상기 수광부(140)를 통해 수신된 신호를 처리하는 신호 처리 소자일 수 있으며, 주문형 반도체 집적 회로(ASIC)Application Specific Integrated Circuit)로 구현될 수 있다.
상기 구동부(150) 위에는 수광부(140)가 배치된다. 상기 수광부(140)는 광 입사면이 상부를 향하도록 상기 구동부(150) 위에 배치된다.
한편, 상기 구동부(150)는 제어부(도시하지 않음)를 포함하며, 상기 인체 착용 장치의 인체 착용 상태에 따라 상기 반사부(130)를 제어하여, 상기 인체 착용 장치가 착용된 인체에 맞게 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도가 조정되도록 한다.
도 4 및 5는 본 발명의 제 1 실시 예에 따른 반사부의 반사 각도에 따른 광 경로를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 4 및 도 5를 참조하면, 상기 반사부(130)는 기설정된 유효 각도 범위 내에서 각도 변화가 가능하다. 그리고, 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도에 따라 상기 측정 대상으로 반사되는 광의 경로가 변화하게 되며, 상기 광 경로에 따라 상기 수광부(140)를 통해 수신되는 광의 상태에도 변화가 발생한다.
즉, 도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도가 제 1 각도(θ1)로 설정된 경우, 상기 반사부(130)를 통해 반사된 광의 경로는 제 1 경로(l_1)를 통해 수광부(140)에 입사된다.
그리고, 도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도가 상기 제 1 각도와 다른 제 2 각도로 설정된 경우, 상기 반사부(130)를 통해 반사된 광의 경로는 상기 제 1 경로와는 다른 제 2 경로(l_2)를 통해 수광부(140)에 입사된다.
그리고, 상기 제 1 경로를 통해 입사된 광의 상태와, 상기 제 2 경로를 통해 입사된 광의 상태를 서로 다르게 나타난다.
또한, 상기 광의 경로 중 최적의 광의 경로는 정해져있는 것이 아니며, 인종, 나이 및 성별에 따라 최적의 신호 상태를 보이는 광의 경로에 차이가 발생한다.
이에 따라, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 인체 착용 장치가 인체에 착용된 상태인지를 판단하며, 상기 구동부(150)가 인체가 착용된 시점에 상기 반사부(130)의 각도 설정 모드로 진입하여 상기 반사부(130)에 대한 최적의 반사 각도를 감지한다.
이를 위해, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도를 유효 범위 내에서 변화시키며, 상기 변화되는 각각의 반사 각도에 따라 상기 수광부(140)를 통해 수신되는 광 신호에 대한 상태를 판단한다.
여기에서, 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도에 대한 유효 범위는 0°~ 60°로 설정될 수 있으며, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 0°~ 60°의 유효 범위 내에서 상기 반사 각도를 미세하게 조정하고, 상기 조정되는 각각의 반사 각도에 따라 상기 수광부(140)로 입사되는 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비(SNR:Signal To Noise Ratio)를 확인한다.
그리고, 구동부(150)는 초기 상기 인체 착용 장치가 인체에 착용되면, 상기 반사부(130)의 유효 범위를 움직이고, 그에 따라 상기 반사부(130)를 통해 반사된 광이 피부의 모세혈관을 통과한 후 반사되는 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 높게 나타나는 반사 각도를 찾는다.
즉, 상기 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 크다는 것은 원(原) 맥동 신호의 품질을 최상으로 향상시켰음을 의미하며, 이에 따라 구동부(150)는 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 크게 나타난 상기 반사부(130)에 대한 반사 각도를 찾는다.
그리고, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 반사 각도가 결정되면, 상기 결정된 반사 각도를 토대로 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도를 고정시키고, 상기 고정된 반사 각도에 따라 생체 신호의 측정이 이루어지도록 한다.
또한, 상기 구동부(150)는 사용자의 움직임 및 일정 시간 혹은 상기 인체 착용 장치의 재착용이 이루어지면, 상기와 같은 반사 각도 설정 모드로 재진입하여, 현 상태에 맞는 최적의 반사 각도를 다시 결정한다.
도 6은 본 발명의 제 1 실시 예에 따른 인체 착용 장치의 내부 구성을 나타낸 도면이다.
도 6을 참조하면, 인체 착용 장치(100)는 발광부(120), 수광부(140) 및 구동부(150)를 포함한다.
발광부(120)는 구동부(150)의 제어신호에 따라 광을 발생시킨다.
발광부(120)는 크게 광을 발생시키는 발광 수단과, 상기 발광 수단을 구동시키는 구동 수단으로 구분할 수 있다.
상기 발광부(120)의 구동 수단은 구동부(150)를 통해 출력되는 디지털 신호를 아날로그 신호로 변환하는 디지털-아날로그 변환기(121), 상기 디지털-아날로그 변환기(121)를 통해 변환된 신호를 1차 증폭하는 제 1 증폭기(122), 상기 제 1 증폭기(122)를 통해 1차 증폭된 신호를 2차 증폭하는 제 2 증폭기(123)를 포함한다.
여기에서, 상기 디지털-아날로그 변환기(121)는 발광 소자(124)의 전류를 설정해주기 위하여, 상기 디지털 신호를 아날로그 신호로 변환한다.
그리고, 제 1 및 2 증폭기(122, 123)은 상기 발광 소자(124)의 구동에 필요한 교류 전류를 상기 발광 소자(124)로 공급하기 위한 신호 증폭부이다.
그리고, 상기 발광부(120)의 발광 수단은 상기 제 2 증폭기(123)를 통해 증폭된 신호에 따라 광을 발생하는 발광 소자(124)를 포함한다. 상기 발광 소자(124)는 발광 다이오드(LED: Light Emitting Diode)로 구현 가능하다.
또한, 상기 발광 소자(124)는 검출될 인체 신호에 따라 서로 다른 파장의 광을 발생시킬 수 있다. 즉, 상기 발광 소자(124)는 상기 검출할 인체 신호가 심박수인 경우, 660nm 파장의 광을 발생시키는 레드 발광 다이오드일 수 있다.
수광부(140)는 상기 발광부(120)의 발광 동작에 따라 피검체에서 반사된 광을 포함한 입사 광을 수신한다.
수광부(140)는 상기 입사되는 광을 수신하는 수광 소자(141)와, 상기 수광 소자(141)를 통해 입사된 광 신호를 1차 증폭하는 제 1 증폭기(142), 상기 제 1 증폭기(142)를 통해 1차 증폭된 신호를 2차 증폭하는 제 2 증폭기(143), 상기 제 2 증폭기(143)를 통해 2차 증폭된 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하는 아날로그-디지털 변환기(144)를 포함한다.
수광 소자(141)는 외부로부터 입사되는 광을 수신한다. 이때, 수광 소자(141)는 포토 다이오드(PD)나 트랜지스터(TR)로 구현 가능하다.
또한, 상기 제 1 증폭기(142)는 상기 수광 소자(141)에서 검출되는 미약한 광 전류를 전압으로 변환시켜 증폭하며, 이는 TIA(Transimpedance Amplifier)일 수 있다.
또한, 제 2 증폭기(143)는 상기 제 1 증폭기(142)를 통해 증폭된 전압을 상기 아날로그-디지털 변환기(144)에서 처리 가능하도록 충분한 크기의 전압으로 증폭시킨다.
또한, 아날로그-디지털 변환기(144)는 지정된 샘플링 레이트(SAMPLING RATE)에 따라 아날로그 전압을 이에 상응하는 디지털 전압으로 변환해준다.
구동부(150)는 발광부(120) 및 수광부(140)의 동작을 제어한다.
또한, 구동부(150)는 상기 발광부(120) 및 수광부(140)의 동작 모드에 따라 상기 수광부(140)를 통해 수신된 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비를 검출하고, 상기 검출된 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비에 따라 상기 반사부(130)의 최적의 반사 각도를 결정한다.
이때, 상기 동작 모드는 일반 동작 모드와, 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도 설정 모드를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 반사 각도 설정 모드는 상기 발광부(120) 및 수광부(140)를 이용하여 상기 인체 착용 장치(100)가 착용된 인체에 따라 상기 반사부(130)의 최적의 반사 각도를 결정하기 위한 모드이다.
도 7은 본 발명의 제 1 실시 예에 따른 인체 착용 장치의 동작 방법을 단계별로 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다.
도 7을 참조하면, 구동부(150)는 인체 착용 장치가 인체에 착용된 상태인지를 판단하며, 상기 구동부(150)가 인체가 착용된 시점에 상기 반사부(130)의 각도 설정 모드로 진입하여 상기 반사부(130)에 대한 최적의 반사 각도를 결정한다.
이를 위해, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도를 유효 범위 내에서 변화시키며, 상기 변화되는 각각의 반사 각도에 따라 상기 수광부(140)를 통해 수신되는 광 신호에 대한 상태를 판단한다.
즉, 구동부(150)는 상기 유효 범위 중에서 특정 반사 각도를 설정한다(100단계).
상기 특정 반사 각도가 설정되면, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 발광부(120) 및 수광부(140)의 동작을 제어하며(110단계, 120단계), 그에 따라 수신되는 광의 신호 대 잡음비를 확인한다(130단계).
그리고, 상기 구동부(150)는 모든 유효 각도에 대한 상기 신호 대 잡음비가 확인되었는지 여부를 판단한다(140단계).
여기에서, 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도에 대한 유효 범위는 0°~ 60°로 설정될 수 있으며, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 0°~ 60°의 유효 범위 내에서 상기 반사 각도를 미세하게 조정하고, 상기 조정되는 각각의 반사 각도에 따라 상기 수광부(140)로 입사되는 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비(SNR:Signal To Noise Ratio)를 확인한다.
상기 모든 유효 각도가 확인되지 않았다면, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도를 변경하고(150단계), 그에 따라 상기 단계(110단계)로 복귀한다.
그리고, 구동부(150)는 모든 유효 각도 내에서의 상기 신호 대 잡음비가 확인되면, 상기 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 높게 나타나는 반사 각도를 찾는다(160단계).
즉, 상기 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 크다는 것은 원(原) 맥동 신호의 품질을 최상으로 향상시켰음을 의미하며, 이에 따라 구동부(150)는 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 크게 나타난 상기 반사부(130)에 대한 반사 각도를 찾는다.
그리고, 상기 구동부(150)는 상기 반사 각도가 결정되면, 상기 결정된 반사 각도를 토대로 상기 반사부(130)의 반사 각도를 고정시키고, 상기 고정된 반사 각도에 따라 생체 신호의 측정이 이루어지도록 한다(170단계).
또한, 상기 구동부(150)는 사용자의 움직임 및 일정 시간 혹은 상기 인체 착용 장치의 재착용이 이루어지면, 상기와 같은 반사 각도 설정 모드로 재진입하여, 현 상태에 맞는 최적의 반사 각도를 다시 결정한다.
본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 최적화된 MEMS 미러를 활용한 반사부를 배치함으로써, 측정 대상의 피부 표면에서 반사되는 노이즈를 감소시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 광을 반사시키는 반사부를 배치하여, 표면 반사를 감소시키면서 피부조직을 통과하는 광 경로를 최소화 시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 손목에서 심박 신호 품질 향상으로 심박수 측정을 위한 별도의 그린 발광 소자를 제거할 수 있음으로써, 제품 단가를 낮춰 단가 경쟁력을 증가시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 이에 따른 제품 부피를 소형화할 수 있다.
도 8 및 9는 본 발명의 제 2 실시 예에 따른 인체 착용 장치의 구조를 보여주는 도면이다.
도 8을 참조하면, 인체 착용 장치는 기판(210), 발광부(220), 반사부(230), 수광부(240), 구동부(250), 구조물(260), 격벽(270) 및 광학 윈도우(280)를 포함한다. 상기 반사부(230)는 제 1 반사부(232)와 제 2 반사부(234)를 포함한다.
기판(210)은 인체 착용 장치를 구성하는 구성요소들을 장착하기 위한 베이스 기판이다. 즉,
상기 기판(210)은 단일 회로 패턴이 형성되는 상기 인체 착용 장치의 지지 기판일 수 있으며, 복수의 적층 구조를 가지는 기판 중 어느 하나의 회로 패턴이 형성된 특정 절연층을 의미할 수도 있다.
상기 기판(210)은 열경화성 또는 열가소성 고분자 기판, 세라믹 기판, 유-무기 복합 소재 기판, 또는 유리 섬유 함침 기판일 수 있으며, 고분자 수지를 포함하는 경우, 에폭시계 절연 수지를 포함할 수 있으며, 이와 달리 폴리 이미드계 수지를 포함할 수도 있다.
즉, 상기 기판(210)은 배선을 변경할 수 있는 전기 회로가 편성되어 있는 판으로, 절연기판 표면에 도체 패턴을 형성할 수 있는 절연 재료로 만들어진, 프린트, 배선판 및 절연기판을 모두 포함할 수 있다.
상기 기판(210)은 리지드(rigid)하거나 또는 플렉서블(flexible)할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 기판(210)은 유리 또는 플라스틱을 포함할 수 있다. 자세하게, 상기 기판(210)은 소다라임유리(soda lime glass) 또는 알루미노실리케이트유리 등의 화학 강화/반강화유리를 포함하거나, 폴리이미드(Polyimide, PI), 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트(polyethylene terephthalate, PET), 프로필렌 글리콜(propylene glycol, PPG) 폴리 카보네이트(PC) 등의 강화 혹은 연성 플라스틱을 포함하거나 사파이어를 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(210)은 광등방성 필름을 포함할 수 있다. 일례로, 상기 기판(210)은 COC(Cyclic Olefin Copolymer), COP(Cyclic Olefin Polymer), 광등방 폴리카보네이트(polycarbonate, PC) 또는 광등방 폴리메틸메타크릴레이트(PMMA) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(210)은 부분적으로 곡면을 가지면서 휘어질 수 있다. 즉, 기판(210)은 부분적으로는 평면을 가지고, 부분적으로는 곡면을 가지면서 휘어질 수 있다. 자세하게, 상기 기판(210)의 끝단이 곡면을 가지면서 휘어지거나 랜덤(Random)한 곡률을 포함한 표면을 가지며 휘어지거나 구부러질 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(210)은 유연한 특성을 가지는 플렉서블(flexible) 기판일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 기판(210)은 커브드(curved) 또는 벤디드(bended) 기판일 수 있다. 이 때, 기판(210)은, 회로 설계를 근거로 회로부품을 접속하는 전기배선을 배선 도형으로 표현하며, 절연물 상에 전기도체를 재현할 수 있다. 또한 전기부품을 탑재하고 이들을 회로적으로 연결하는 배선을 형성할 수 있으며, 부품의 전기적 연결기능 외의 부품들을 기계적으로 고정시켜줄 수 있다.
상기 기판(210)의 표면에는 추후 설명할 발광부(220), 반사부(230), 수광부(240) 및 구동부(250)와 전기적으로 연결되는 회로 패턴(도시하지 않음)이 형성된다.
상기 회로 패턴은 통상적인 인쇄회로기판의 제조 공정인 어디티브 공법(Additive process), 서브트렉티브 공법(Subtractive Process), MSAP(Modified Semi Additive Process) 및 SAP(Semi Additive Process) 공법 등으로 가능하며 여기에서는 상세한 설명은 생략한다.
상기 기판(210)의 표면은 발광부(220)가 장착되는 제 1 영역과, 수광부(240)가 장착되는 제 2 영역으로 구분될 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 제 1 영역과 제 2 영역 사이에는 격벽(270)이 배치되며, 상기 격벽(270)에 의해 상기 기판(210)의 표면은 상기 제 1 영역과 제 2 영역으로 구분될 수 있다.
상기 격벽(270)은 상기 발광부(220)와 수광부(240) 사이에 배치되어, 상기 발광부(220)를 통해 발생한 광이 직접적으로 상기 수광부(240)로 입사되는 것을 방지한다.
그리고, 상기 기판(210)의 제 1 영역에는 발광부(220) 및 반사부(230)가 배치된다.
발광부(220)는 발광 제어신호에 따라 특정 파장대의 광을 발생하는 발광 소자를 포함한다.
이때, 상기 발광부(220)의 광 출사면(LES:Light Emitting Surface)은 측정 대상의 피부와 중첩되록 배치된다. 이를 위해, 상기 발광부(220)는 상기 기판(210) 위에 상기 광 출사면이 상면에 놓이도록 위치한 상태로 배치된다. 이에 따라, 상기 발광부(220)의 광 출사면(LES:Light Emitting Surface)은 상기 측정 대상의 피부와 중첩되도록 상기 발광부(220)의 상부에 배치된다.
반사부(230)는 상기 발광부(220)를 통해 발생한 광을 기설정된 각도에 따라 특정 방향으로 반사시킨다.
즉, 상기 반사부(230)는 광 반사 영역을 포함하며, 상기 광 반사 영역은 상기 발광부(220)의 출사면에 대향되게 배치된다.
이때, 상기 반사부(230)는 제 1 반사부(232)와 제 2 반사부(234)를 포함하며,
상기 제 1 반사부(232)는 상기 발광부(220)의 광 출사면과 대향되도록 광 반사 영역이 배치되어, 상기 발광부(120)를 통해 출사된 광을 제 1 방향으로 반사시킨다.
이때, 상기 발광부(220)는 실질적으로, 상기 측정 대상의 피부로 광을 발생시키며, 상기 제 1 반사부(232)는 상기 발생된 광을 상기 측정 대상의 피부와 수평한 제 1 방향으로 반사시킨다.
그리고, 상기 제 1 반사부(232)의 반사 영역에 대향되게 상기 제 2 반사부(234)의 반사 영역이 배치된다.
그리고, 상기 제 2 반사부(234)는 상기 제 1 반사부(232)를 통해 반사된 광을 상기 측정 대상의 피부로 반사시킨다.
상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)는 MEMS 미러(Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems Mirror)임이 바람직하다
그리고, MEMS 미러는 미러를 구동하는 구동 방식에 따라 정전력을 이용한 미러, 전자기력(electromagnetic force)을 이용한 미러, 압전력(piezoelectric force)을 이용한 미러 및 열 변형을 이용한 미러 등으로 나눌 수 있다. 정전력을 이용한 미러는 다시 평행 판(parallel plate) 구동 방식과 빗살형 구동(comb-drive) 방식으로 나눌 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 각각의 구동 방식은 다른 구동 방식들과 비교하여 자신만의 장단점을 가지는데, 이 중 제조가 용이하고, 전력 소모가 작으면서도, 구동력, 토크 및 최대 스트로크가 우수한 빗살형 구동 방식이 가장 널리 사용되고 있다.
또한, 상기와 같은 MEMS 미러는 기설정된 유효 각도 범위 내에서 미세한 각도 변경이 가능하다.
이에 따라, 본 발명에서는 상기 제 1 반사부(232) 및 제 2 반사부(234)를 구성하는 상기 MEMS 미러의 반사각을 선택적으로 변경하여, 측정 대상에 맞는 최적의 광 경로로 상기 발광부(220)를 통해 발생한 광의 반사가 이루어지도록 한다.
구조물(260)은 광학 윈도우(280)를 지지하기 위한 지지 구조물이다.
광학 윈도우(280)는 외부로부터 상기 발광부(220), 수광부(240) 및 상기 제 1 반사부(232), 그리고 제 2 반사부(234)를 보호한다.
상기 광학 윈도우(280)는 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)를 통해 반사된 광이 외부(바람직하게는, 측정 대상의 피부)로 공급되도록 광 경로를 형성하며, 또한 외부에서 입사되는 광이 상기 수광부(240)로 공급되도록 한다.
한편, 상기 기판(210)의 제 2 영역에는 구동부(250) 및 수광부(240)가 배치된다.
이때, 상기 기판(210) 위에는 구동부(250)가 배치되며, 상기 수광부(240)는 상기 구동부(250) 위에 배치된다.
상기 구동부(250)는 상기 수광부(240)를 통해 수신된 신호를 처리하는 신호 처리 소자일 수 있으며, 주문형 반도체 집적 회로(ASIC)Application Specific Integrated Circuit)로 구현될 수 있다.
상기 구동부(250) 위에는 수광부(240)가 배치된다. 상기 수광부(240)는 광 입사면이 상부를 향하도록 상기 구동부(250) 위에 배치된다.
한편, 상기 구동부(250)는 제어부(도시하지 않음)를 포함하며, 상기 인체 착용 장치의 인체 착용 상태에 따라 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)를 제어하여, 상기 인체 착용 장치가 착용된 인체에 맞게 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 반사 각도가 조정되도록 한다.
즉, 본 발명의 제 1 실시 예에서는 반사부(130)의 반사 각도만을 조절하여 최적의 반사 각도를 결정하였다.
그러나, 제 2 실시 예에서는 상기와 같이 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 반사 각도 조합에 따른 반사 각도 조절을 통해 최적의 제 1 반사부의 반사 각도와, 제 2 반사부의 반사 각도를 결정한다.
도 10은 본 발명의 제 2 실시 예에 따른 인체 착용 장치의 동작 방법을 단계별로 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다.
도 10을 참조하면, 구동부(250)는 인체 착용 장치가 인체에 착용된 상태인지를 판단하며, 상기 구동부(250)가 인체가 착용된 시점에 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 각도 설정 모드로 진입하여 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)에 대한 최적의 반사 각도를 결정한다.
이를 위해, 상기 구동부(250)는 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(230)의 반사 각도에 따른 조합을 분류하고(200단계), 상기 분류한 조합 중 특정 제 1 조합을 선택한다(210단계).
그리고, 구동부(250)는 상기 선택된 조합에 따라 상기 제 1 반사부(232)와 제 2 반사부(234)의 반사 각도를 설정한다(220단계).
상기 특정 반사 각도가 설정되면, 상기 구동부(250)는 상기 발광부(220) 및 수광부(240)의 동작을 제어하며(230단계), 그에 따라 수신되는 광의 신호 대 잡음비를 확인한다(240단계).
그리고, 상기 구동부(250)는 모든 조합에 대한 상기 신호 대 잡음비가 확인되었는지 여부를 판단한다(250단계).
여기에서, 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 각각의 반사 각도에 대한 유효 범위는 0°~ 60°로 설정될 수 있으며, 상기 구동부(250)는 상기 0°~ 60°의 유효 범위 내에서 반사 각도 조합에 따라 상기 수광부(240)로 입사되는 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비(SNR:Signal To Noise Ratio)를 확인한다.
상기 모든 조합이 확인되지 않았다면, 상기 구동부(250)는 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 반사 각도를 변경하고(260단계), 그에 따라 상기 단계(220단계)로 복귀한다.
그리고, 구동부(250)는 모든 조합 내에서의 상기 신호 대 잡음비가 확인되면, 상기 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 높게 나타나는 반사 각도의 조합을 찾는다(270단계).
즉, 상기 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 크다는 것은 원(原) 맥동 신호의 품질을 최상으로 향상시켰음을 의미하며, 이에 따라 구동부(150)는 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 크게 나타난 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 반사 각도에 대한 조합을 찾는다.
그리고, 상기 구동부(250)는 상기 반사 각도의 조합이 결정되면, 상기 결정된 조합에 따른 반사 각도를 토대로 상기 제 1 및 2 반사부(232, 234)의 반사 각도를 고정시키고, 상기 고정된 반사 각도에 따라 생체 신호의 측정이 이루어지도록 한다(280단계).
또한, 상기 구동부(250)는 사용자의 움직임 및 일정 시간 혹은 상기 인체 착용 장치의 재착용이 이루어지면, 상기와 같은 반사 각도 설정 모드로 재진입하여, 현 상태에 맞는 최적의 반사 각도를 다시 결정한다.
본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 최적화된 MEMS 미러를 활용한 반사부를 배치함으로써, 측정 대상의 피부 표면에서 반사되는 노이즈를 감소시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 발광 소자와 수광 소자 사이에 광을 반사시키는 반사부를 배치하여, 표면 반사를 감소시키면서 피부조직을 통과하는 광 경로를 최소화 시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 실시 예에 의하면, 손목에서 심박 신호 품질 향상으로 심박수 측정을 위한 별도의 그린 발광 소자를 제거할 수 있음으로써, 제품 단가를 낮춰 단가 경쟁력을 증가시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 이에 따른 제품 부피를 소형화할 수 있다.

- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 발광부는,측면에 광 출사면이 위치되도록 상기 기판 위에 배치되는인체 착용 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 발광부는,측정 대상과 수평한 제 1 방향으로 상기 광을 발생시키고,상기 제 1 반사부는,상기 광을 측정 대상에 대응하는 제 2 방향으로 반사시키는인체 착용 장치.

- 제 14항에 있어서,상기 발광부는,상기 측정 대상과 수평한 제 1 방향으로 광을 발생시키고,상기 반사부는,상기 반사 각도에 따라 상기 측정 대상에 대응하는 제 2 방향으로 상기 광을 반사시키는인체 착용 장치의 동작 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서,상기 광의 상태를 판단하는 단계는,상기 수광부를 통해 수신된 광 신호의 신호 대 잡음비를 판단하는 단계를 포함하는 인체 착용 장치의 동작 방법.
- 제 16항에 있어서,상기 결정하는 단계는,상기 신호 대 잡음비가 가장 큰 반사 각도를 확인하는 단계와,상기 확인된 반사 각도를 상기 반사부의 반사 각도로 결정하는 단계를 포함하는인체 착용 장치의 동작 방법.
