Description
DESCRIPTION
CONCEALED CISTERN BODY WITH INTEGRATED SUPPORT PARTS FOR PREVENTING THE OUTWARD EXPANSION OR INWARD COLLAPSE OF THE BODY
Subject of the Invention The invention relates to a novel concealed cistern body exposed to the force of expansion under the influence of the water said cistern body contains (especially in the plaster board applications) and/or to the force of contraction from the outside towards the inside under the influence of the wall where said cistern body is mounted, said cistern body being developed for eliminating the problems of outward expansion or inward collapse in the body for the reasons mentioned above and said cistern body being manufactured via the injection method.
Present State of the Art
The concealed cisterns are the systems where the water reservoir is concealed in the wall, thereby offering an aesthetic appearance as well as providing advantages in terms of convenience of use and saving of water and space. The concealed cisterns are the systems that are suitable for use in any kind of toilet, are easy to mount and are available with various dimensions. The concealed cisterns are also preferred as they provide convenience in terms of cleaning.
The concealed cisterns are generally comprised by two sections. The first section is the section that remains under the plastering, tiling or glazed tiles and that contains the assembly, being the subject matter of this invention, which stores, discharges (discharge assembly) and fills (filling assembly) the water. In other words, this is the portion where the user is not able to see from the outside in any way while using the cistern. The second section is the panel section where the user is able to select the volume of water to wash the toilet according to the type thereof. For the assembly process of the concealed cisterns, first, said section that remains within the plastering is mounted on the plumbing. After the assembly, the part other than the space where the panel by means of which the user will control the water discharge process is to be mounted is covered by plaster, glazed tile or tile and in this way, the body of the concealed cistern becomes completely covered. Depending on the wall type being used, the body collapses inward under the influence of the wall
(cement-plaster-tile) or tends to open and loosen, in the applications such as plaster board that do not impart load on the body, under the influence of the water and temperature especially in the hot regions. It is observed that the filling or discharge assemblies lose their functions inside the bodies where such adverse effects are noted. According to the state of the art, the problem of expansion or contraction is attempted to be precluded by way of placing external supports (3) into the body manufactured via the injection molding. These supports (3) are mounted in the factory on the lower body (la) and the product is delivered to the site. The support parts (3), which are positioned and mounted in the channels (lc) present in the part of the lower body that is not readily visible, may be inaccurately mounted due to such reasons as inattention of the operator or the supports (3) that are removed on site by the unconscious service actions may cause the lower body (la) to undergo change of shape and may cause damage to the discharge and filling assemblies within the lower body (la).
Another factor involved in the change of shape of the body is that the body has different wall thicknesses for each of the front surface (lal) and the rear surface (la2). According to the state of the art, the unbalanced pressure of the melt (the raw material in molten state that melts in the screw and fills into the mold in the injection machine) that moves towards the front or rear wall of the body within the injection mold causes the core that makes the body opening to bend. In order to eliminate the unbalanced pressure in the melt, the same amount of melt should advance towards both walls (front and rear). However, in some cases this is not possible as a result of the structure in the body and it is not possible to deliver the melt at the same pressure from both sides. The wall where excessive melt reaches may become thick, whereas the other wall may be thin. This in turn leads to the distortion, i.e. the change of shape, in the body after it exits the mold. The invention being the subject matter of the application relates to a novel concealed cistern body developed as a solution to both problems mentioned above. Owing to the body, which exits the injection mold in a state where the support parts have been integrated thereon, the problems such as the dislocation of the external supports are prevented, and since the front and rear walls are joined, the melt is enabled to pass between the walls without bending the core within the mold. This ensures the preservation of an equal wall thickness
on the front and rear walls of the body. As a result, the body leaving the mold will not undergo distortion and change of shape.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a novel concealed cistern body exposed to the force of expansion under the influence of the water said cistern body contains (especially in the plaster board applications) and/or to the force of contraction from the outside towards the inside under the influence of the wall where said cistern body is mounted, said cistern body being developed for eliminating the problems of outward expansion or inward collapse in the body for the reasons mentioned above and said cistern body being manufactured via the injection method.
In the concealed cistern systems, the body is the main part, which confines the water, has constructions varying according to the area of usage and also has different dimensions in millimeters according to the thickness of the wall surface where it is to be mounted.
The body is exposed to the force of expansion under the influence of the water said body contains (especially in the plaster board applications) and/or to the force of contraction from the outside towards the inside imparted by the wall. The subject of the invention concerns a novel body to prevent the distortion/change of shape in the body due to the aforementioned reasons under the service conditions following the manufacture or due to the difference in the wall thickness once said body leaves the injection mold. The body (2) according to the invention comprises the components parts of a lower body (2a) and an upper body (2b) that serves the function of a cover for said lower body.
According to the state of the art, the body assembly (1) comprises a lower body (la) and an upper body (lb) that serves the function of a cover for said lower body and two external support parts (3). According to the state of the art, the external support parts (3) are positioned into the channels (lc) on the lower body (la). Although it is simple to mount said support parts (3) in the lower body (la) in the factory, it is very difficult to mount the removed support part (3) in place, because it is difficult to visually locate the channels (lc) while the lower body (la) is within the wall and also because the wall, if any, has an impact on the body. Moreover, in order to accomplish the mounting of the support parts (3) in the lower body (la), the support parts (3) are fitted to the lower body (la) in the manner of clearance fit; in other words, the fitting of the same is performed by leaving a margin for stretching. It is required to allow the expansion or inward collapse of the body by an extent corresponding to these openings. The parts of the body assembly according to the state of the art are seen in Figure 6a. The body (2) developed within the scope of the invention and manufactured via the injection method can be seen in Figures 2, 3b, 4b, 5b and 6b. The body (2) according to the invention comprises the components parts of a lower body (2a) and an upper body (2b) that serves the function of a cover for said lower body. The body (2) according to the invention comprises the internal support parts (4) integrated on the lower body (2a).
In the body (2) developed within the scope of the invention and manufactured via the injection method, the support parts (4) form during the injection on the lower body (2a) and are internally present on the body leaving the mold. The internal support parts (4) are positioned on the novel body in such a way that they will not alter the flow rate of the water and they will not hinder the mounting and demounting of the filling and discharge assemblies present within the body. As can be seen in Figure 3b, the support parts (4) are present at a quantity of two and are positioned between the two surfaces in a way to fix the lower body front surface (2al) and rear surface (2a2) to one another. Owing to such positioning of the support parts, the melt is homogeneously distributed within the mold. The movement of the melt from the front surface inside the mold or the movement thereof in a direction exactly opposite to this passage allows both walls to be of the same thickness. Owing to the homogeneous wall thickness, the body (2) does not undergo distortion and change of shape after it leaves the mold.
The lengths of the support parts which are originally of the same length in the present state of art, are made different from one another during the manufacture via injection with the invention. In other words, one of the internal support parts (4) employed within the scope of the invention has a length greater as compared to that of the other support part. In order to make the demounting of the internal parts, i.e. the discharge and filling assemblies, possible, one of the internal support parts (4) is made shorter relative to the other. Whereas the length (A) up to the start of the support within the body according to the state of the art is in the range of 88-92 mm, the magnitude of the length (X) up to the start of the support within the body for one of the support parts in the newly developed body is in the range of 108-112 mm in order to facilitate the mounting and demounting of the discharge and filling assemblies. The length Z, in other words, the length up to the start of the support within the body for the second support part is left in the same range as the state of the art, i.e. in the range of 88-92 mm. In this way, whereas it is necessary to remove the supports for demounting the discharge and filling assemblies according to the state of the art, it has been made possible to access the discharge and filling assemblies without interfering with the supports in the novel design. The distance from the support parts until the bottom of the body is made shorter as compared to the state of the art, thereby obtaining a length for the supports that would not hinder the flow of water but would improve the body strength.
Whereas the magnitude of the length (B) from the support parts (3) up to the bottom of the body according to the state of the art is in the range of 77-81 mm, the magnitude of the distance (Y) from the support parts (4) up to the bottom of the body in the newly developed body is designed to be in the range of 66-70 mm. The distance between the two supports has not been changed. Disposing the support parts close to one another makes the demounting of the discharge assembly difficult, while moving away from one another reduces the body strength under the service conditions. For this reason, the distance (C) between the support parts according to the state of the art and the distance (T) between the support parts in the newly developed body are equal to one another and are in the range of 198-202 mm.
The novel body (2) developed within the scope of the invention, which exits the injection mold in a state having the support parts integrated thereon, prevents the problems such as the dislocation of the external supports as well as enabling the melt to perform the passage between the walls without bending the core in the mold as the body connects the front and rear walls together. This in turn enables the preservation of equal wall thickness in the front and rear surfaces of the body. In this way, the body leaving the mold will not undergo distortion and will not change shape.
