Description
DESCRIPTION
A BED SYSTEM WITH SAFETY BELT FOR VEHICLES Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a bed system with a safety belt which is placed on the bed system present in cabin part of heavy commercial vehicles and provides the safety of the user.
Background of the Invention
The bed compartments present in heavy commercial vehicles such as truck, lorry and designed for the resting of the users are designed as a single bed in heavy commercial vehicles with low ceiling and as a double bed in form of bunkbed in heavy commercial vehicles with high ceiling. The user can use the beds present in heavy commercial vehicles while moving and actively when the vehicle is immobile. While the vehicle is moving, the bed located inside cabin is ready to be used actively. If while one of the users is using the bed actively, the vehicle goes out of the rod or has an accident, there is no protection for the user using the bed. For this reason it is possible the person using bed gets hurt, and it is not possible to protect them.
Furthermore, in case of accidents occurring while the vehicle is not moving, if the bed compartment inside the cabin is being actively used, the users get hurt and it is not possible to protect them. This situation creates life threatening risk in case the users are present in the bed compartment.
In addition to these, while the vehicle is not moving, there is risk of the person using the bed falling out of the bed and getting hurt.
The Problems Solved with the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a bed system with a safety belt which enables the passengers resting in the bed compartment of the heavy commercial vehicles to be protected. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a bed system with a safety belt which is low cost and which is removable in bed compartment of heavy commercial vehicles.
Detailed Description of the Invention
A bed system with safety belt developed to fulfill the objective of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which: Figure 1 is the perspective view of the bed system with safety belt.
Figure 2 is the perspective view of the bed system with safety belt.
The components shown in the figures are each given reference numbers as follows:
1. Bed system with safety belt
2. Housing
3. Belt
4. Fastener
A bed system with a safety belt (1), which is placed on the bedding system present in cabin part of heavy commercial vehicles and provides the safety of the user, essentially comprises
at least one housing (2) which has a spring panel therein, and which placed between the rear panel and the bed,
at least one belt (3) which is placed by being surrounded around the pin present inside the housing (2),
at least one fastener (4) which is placed at the end of the belt (3),
at least one lock which is placed on the open part of the bed and in which the fastener (4) is placed and fixed.
In the inventive bed system with safety belt (1), there is a housing (2) which has a spring panel therein, and which placed between the rear panel and the bed. The belt (3) is surrounded around the pin located inside the housing (2), and it is preferably manufactured from a material with flexing ability. By means of flexing ability, it surrounds the person using the bed in different positions, and it enables them to be protected against the sudden forces created in case of any accident. A fastener (4) is placed at the end of the belt (3). The housing (2) is attached at one of the long edges of the rectangular shaped bed, and the lock is attached at the other edge. The fastener (4) is placed inside the lock, and thus the belt (3) goes from one end of the bed to its other end, and it surrounds the person in the bed. The fastener (4) placed inside the lock is in form of a flat plate which has a hole on its middle part, and it is enabled to be fixed inside the lock. The fastener (4) is released by means of a button present on the lock.
Claims
A bed system with safety belt (1), which is placed on the bedding system present in cabin part of heavy commercial vehicles and provides the safety of the user, essentially characterized by
at least one housing (2) which has a spring panel therein, and which placed between the rear panel and the bed,
at least one belt (3) which is placed by being surrounded around the pin present inside the housing (2),
at least one fastener (4) which is placed at the end of the belt (3), at least one lock which is placed on the open part of the bed and in which the fastener (4) is placed and fixed.
A bed system with safety belt (1) according to claim 1, characterized by at least one belt (3) which is manufactured from a material with flexing ability.
