Abstract

An apparatus for supporting a load and for detachably mounting to a truck or a trailer. The apparatus may include a frame configured to support the load and configured to be detachably mounted to the truck or the trailer, and an outrigger assembly mounted to the frame. The outrigger assembly may include a bracket mounted to the frame, a shaft movably received in the bracket and a leg member coupled to an end of the shaft. The bracket may include a first cooperative element. The shaft may include a second cooperative element. The leg member may be at least substantially perpendicular to the shaft. The first cooperative element of the bracket and the second cooperative element of the shaft may be engaged with each other and may be configured to be operable to rotate the shaft relative to the bracket about a longitudinal axis of the shaft. A method of off-loading the load.
