This represents a significant reduction in tearing force on the seam.
  • the narrow finger bladders create a shorter continuous seam under pressure at any time and the edge effect of being next to a non-stressed seam (since that bladder is flaccid) adds additional strength.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de transport péristaltique comprenant un élément de tube comportant un espace interne destiné à recevoir un matériau, l'élément comprenant une série de sections répétitives, chacune des sections comprenant une pluralité de poches en bandes permettant de bloquer de manière sélective des parties de l'espace interne selon une séquence péristaltique définie pour transporter le matériau à travers l'espace interne. Un ensemble actionneur est accouplé à l'élément de tube pour commander le blocage sélectif de l'espace interne par la dilatation et la contraction sélectives de poches parmi la pluralité de poches en bandes selon la séquence péristaltique définie. L'ensemble actionneur commande simultanément des poches correspondantes parmi la pluralité de poches en bandes sur la série de sections répétitives. La pluralité de poches en bandes est disposée de sorte que des poches opposées parmi la pluralité de poches en bandes se dilatent pour venir en butée contre les autres et gonflent à travers un côté opposé de l'espace intérieur.
