- the present invention relates to a touch switch/controller, including a cover plate with at least one opening (mouth), at least one sensor area in the form of a bowl with a mouth, depth, and curvature for method of use by the intersecting phalanges of a finger or thumb when bent (although any, the index finger is the preferred and suggested choice), a printed circuit board with evaluation and execution components located anywhere so long as in electrically conductive contact with said sensor.
- the sensor may have an aperture in the curvature wherein a UV light is disposed. UV light of a certain frequency is known to be highly effective at penetrating thin- walled germs like viruses and bacteria. The light alters the genetic structure of the germs and they die.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande/commutateur tactile construit de manière économique pour un confort optimal et une utilisation efficace par l'intersection des phalanges d'un doigt ou du pouce lorsqu'il est plié, dans le but de prévenir la propagation de germes, de bactéries et d'infections. Bien que ledit commutateur/dispositif de commande puisse être utilisé dans une variété d'applications, un intérêt particulier réside dans le fait de proposer un commutateur/dispositif de commande pour des portes automatisées. Ledit commutateur/dispositif de commande comprend, mais sans y être limité, une plaque de protection dotée d'au moins une ouverture pour une zone de détection, au moins un élément de détection tactile constitué d'une cuvette qui peut posséder au moins une ouverture où est disposée une lampe UV, et une carte à circuit imprimé qui est en contact électriquement conducteur avec ledit/lesdits capteur(s) et la/les éventuelle(s) lampe(s) impliquée(s).
