Abstract

A fluid system (12) is provided for use on a platform facility (10) to support operations associated with a subterranean well, the fluid system (12) being operable to deliver a fluid to an operations system (14). The fluid system (12) comprises a fluid storage container (44) and a pump system (42) for delivering fluid from the fluid storage container (44) towards the operations system (14). A first fluid conduit (56) is provided in upstream fluid communication with the storage container (44) and downstream fluid communication with the pump system (42). A second fluid conduit (58) is provided in upstream fluid communication with the storage container (44) and downstream fluid communication with the pump system (42). A valve arrangement (60) is provided for selectively controlling which of the first and second fluid conduits (56, 58) is active to provide fluid communication between the storage container (44) and the pump system (42).
